Abortion is Murder & Unbiblical

The Bible does not use the word abortion. How could it? The term itself as a procedure wasn't invented yet! However, the Bible does cover: 

Humanity's inherent value and rights as (uniquely among creation) made in the image of God

Murder

Child/infant murder as something abhorrent to God

Life's beginnings, indirectly (although that also has biological support) 

Legal ramifications of killing a child in the womb 

How God sees and interacts with children in the womb 

How we as His followers are meant to treat children 

What He expects us to do for the defenseless and vulnerable (i.e., the most defenseless and vulnerable human imaginable is the one in the womb)

John the Baptist leaped in Elizabeth’s womb when Mary greeted her cousin (Luke 1:39-45), an example that babies in utero are responsive human beings already aware of the outside world.

The righteous Hebrew midwives at the time of Moses pleased God by saving babies deemed unworthy of life by the authorities of their day (Ex. 1:15-21).

 As an additional note -- these references are included above, but worth a second mention -- it's plain that child sacrifice - child murder - is something that God abhors and explicitly does not command. In summary -- it's possible (although, I believe, it does deprive its proponents of a foundational basis for the value of life) to be both secular and anti-abortion. But it is not possible for a Christian who truly understands their faith, their God, and His Word to be pro-abortion.

The Pharisees and Sadducees Demand Signs

  We were taught earlier in life to share what we have and not be selfish. I know many of us grew up hearing this, and as we grew up, we realized how rude it is to be selfish. Some of us grew up hearing this, and we refuse to change our ways, but what we must understand is that God wants us to share what we have; a lot of us find this odd, and we find it hard to do because we don’t want to give up our time, or things to help someone in need, some of us will say well if they don’t have it, not my fault or it’s not my job to give unto people that are in need.

• Philippians 2:3- 4 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others.

 

•1 Corinthians 10:24 Let no one seek his good, but the good of his neighbor.

 

•Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

 

  These verses tell us that we shouldn't be selfish and that we have to count other people's needs more important than our own needs; we have to care about what other people have and don’t have, and we have to bear the burden of others that’s what Jesus did when he was here he bore everyone's burden he even healed the sick, he had counseling at night with Nicodemus, he even had a woman wash his feet when he was at someone’s home having dinner , he wanted people to understand who he was and that was someone that loved with the biggest heart and that care for people more then he cared about his self he wasn’t selfish.

  Are you selfish? Do you just care about yourself and not for others? Even though David wanted water from this stream, it was near a gate in Bethlehem, and three men went and broke through the Philistine lines, drew water, and brought it back to David; he got precisely what he wanted. At that very moment, he could have drunk it and been done with it while everyone else suffered, but he didn’t he poured the water out, how many of us can say we will get what we need and say no because someone else doesn’t have . Through that difficult time or moment of having precisely what he wanted, he thought of others, and sometimes that’s hard to do, to think of others when we got exactly what we needed but to have the mind of Christ, we must think of others.

    1 Samuel 23:15-16 David longed for water and said, “Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!  So, the three mighty warriors broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem, and carried it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out before the Lord.

    Sometimes, we are selfish because it’s what we have been through. I was in this tough spot in my life, and I went without for a long time; no one would help me; everywhere I turned to said no, and I was comfortable with that, but when I finally got back up on my feet, and I had plenty to eat and plenty to drink, I had everything I needed. I had started carrying this selfishness about myself. The Holy Spirit came to me one day. He said lui, you must open your hands to give so that you can receive. I was afraid that if I gave what I had, what would I have? We must understand that we don’t have to worry about our sleeves when the Holy Spirit instructs us on how to give and who to give to.

 Romans 1:3 We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Let us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.

   We must learn to please our neighbors, not look at what we have and look at what they have, because the more we do this, the more we close the door to our blessings. It's so easy to turn away from our neighbors, but when we are strong in God and strong in our walk with him, we must be there for the weak; it tells us Christ didn’t do what pleased him; he didn’t do what made him feel good all the time he did whatever he could to help others see, God is speaking to us to step out of selfishness into a life of pleasing others.

  David had a small moment of selfishness when he saw Bathsheba and wanted her in a way that wasn’t right. He went down this rabbit hole of getting back in good standing with God because he saw what he wanted; he didn’t take into account this woman belonged to someone else; he didn’t take into account his relationship with God, and this happens a lot to us when we set our mind on something or someone we make no regard on how this will taint our relationship with God because we let the enemy blind us, sometimes we must pray for God to take the blinders off our eyes so that we may see, how many of us aren’t seeing our selfish ways because we are too busy looking out for me myself and I , we must make time for others in our lives. 

***Today we talked about it being selfish and a lot of us don’t know where to even begin to remove this out of our lives the first step is prayer, we must go to God and pray that he change our ways and our thoughts process about loving others.

Luke 10:33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

We have to have pity on others but we can’t get to pity until we deal with our rooted issues , we can’t take pity until we let God change your heart condition, some of us have conditions of the heart that can’t be change until we have God change our heart ,

Verse 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.

He took the extra step and he bandaged and pour oil and wine on him he went the extra step to make sure this man was taken care of . Do you take the extra step to see about others , do you place your selfish ways to the side to take care of others . How often do we stop and see about even our neighbors .

Verse 37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

How much mercy can you give to someone in need ? How many times do we take pity and mercy on others , if we don’t feel any pity or any mercy we might need to ask God to remove whatever in our heart out the way so we can be like Christ even in our actions.

Heavenly Father, please help us not be selfish but depend on you alone.  Help us not to look at what we have and not want to bless others; help us to desire to bless others regardless of what we think; help us to hear you when you speak, lord we give you every part of ourselves to change, lord we know we have parts of ourselves that need work but we ask you to continue to help us through our challenging time to see you lord we need more of you help us to make time for you in Jesus Name Amen

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP AS A CHRISTIAN??

Friendship (by God’s definition) is: Proverbs 27:9 “Just as Lotions and fragrance gives delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul”

God calls friendships a relationship that is “sweet to the soul”, a pleasure that revitalizes you and energizes you. He makes many emphasis on this throughout the Bible, and shows us the blessings of Godly friendships, and the curses of ungodly ones...

So now I ask you, what kind of friendships do you have.

If you’re afraid that you’ll lose the ‘only’ friends you have when you commit closer to Christ, know that those aren’t your friends. Those are just people who will, inadvertently, pull you away from the Lord, and blunder your steel of faith, integrity, strength, loyalty, and holiness.

• Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”

If you’re afraid to share the Gospel with them, or feel you’re ostracized because you don’t ’conform to their beliefs’- that’s not your loss because you gained Christ. Friendships are relationships where purity, trust, love and understanding connects you, and if God is not the foundation and center of it, there will be constant strife- in spiritual, physical and emotional areas where God should be the healer of.

• Psalms 25:14 “Godly Friendships is for God’s worshippers. These are who he confides in.”

You can have friends from different backgrounds and beliefs, as you must love your neighbor and be kind to those who persecute you, or aren’t followers of Christ- be respectful of others and invite them to the Gospel, don’t force feed it- however you need to understand the spiritual parameters you border on, when you do this.

• 1 John 4:7-8: “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

The type of insensitivity and tolerance you can build towards non-Godly conversations, and even suggestions on how to handle things that completely turn you away from God, is what you will need to prepare for. You can have disagreements and fights and take offenses, but how those are handled, and the effects it has on you, deeply reflects the spiritual realm, and the covenants you take on that aren’t promised in Christ.

• Jeremiah 9:4: “Be on guard against your friends. Do not trust the members of your own family. Every one of them cheats. Every friend tells lies.”

Following in Christ, is different to being a Disciple in Christ; friends of God or not, you must be patient, be forgiving, be humble, and be loving- “you cannot love Jesus, if you cannot love Judas.” The world loves to emphasize the ‘appreciation’ of difference and individuality, but once it’s mentioned, it’s something to take offense of- don’t be offended or offending because you have a life in Christ and that changes everything.

• Psalm 41:9: “Even my close friend, someone I trusted, has failed me. I even shared my bread with him

Surrounding yourself with God-filled friends, is not only crucial to the Gospel, but to your health, and happiness. A paralyzed man, in the book of Luke 5:17-26, was healed BASED ON HIS FRIEND’S FAITH! It is important who you surround yourself with, because Godly friends can bring anointings and miracles and insights you didn’t know you needed because God saw there was a place in your life he could work someone special in, with his Gifts- and you cannot be afraid to receive that if your only loss is the world.

• Proverbs 18:24 “Friends come and go, but a true friend [of God] sticks by you like family.”

According to the Bible, a relationship that glorifies God should exhibit the following characteristics:

1. Love and Respect (Ephesians 5:25-33): Treat each other with love, respect, and kindness, just as Christ loves and respects the church.

2. Selflessness and Sacrifice (Philippians 2:3-5): Put each other's needs before your own, just as Christ put our needs before His own.

3. Forgiveness and Understanding (Ephesians 4:32): Forgive each other and show understanding, just as God forgives and understands us.

4. Communication and Honesty (Ephesians 4:25): Communicate openly and honestly with each other, without hiding behind masks or pretending to be someone you're not.

THOSE WHO FEAR GOD 1

12 WHO IS THE MAN THAT FEARS THE LORD? HIM SHALL HE TEACH IN THE WAY HE CHOOSES.

13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth.

14 THE SECRET OF THE LORD IS WITH THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, AND HE WILL SHOW THEM HIS COVENANT.

15 My eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net."

Psalm 25:12–15 (NKJV)

• Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, the Scripture says (Proverbs 9:10).

- Reverential fear of God leads to a deeper fellowship or communion with Him, which ultimately leads to friendship.

- People who fear God are shown the path to follow in life—the way or path which He has chosen for them to follow. This is revealed to them and they are taught how to tread the path (Psalm 25:12).

- Those who fear God, whom He had revealed the chosen path to, are those who dwell in His goodness or prosperity. The descendants of such inherit the earth (Psalm 25:13).

- God is a friend to those who fear Him. His secrets are made known to them. And He teaches or shows them His covenant (Psalm 25:14). In other words, God cuts a covenant with such who fear Him. He made a compact, a league, or a confederacy with them.

- Secrets are shared with those whom one has a covenant relationship with. Such are covenant friends. Thus, reverential fear is a way to cut a covenant with God—as a believer in Christ Jesus.

- The fear being talked about here is the willingness to obey, do His bidding or command—whatever He said to do.

- Thus, obedience to His commands leads to friendship: "YOU ARE MY FRIENDS IF YOU DO WHATEVER I COMMAND YOU" (John 15:14 NKJV).

- Note: This same fear of God makes your eyes be on Him for whatever you wanted or needed to do (Psalm 25:15).

- God does not want a distant relationship. A relationship from afar cannot be intimate or cordial. There cannot be a fellowship or communion in such a relationship, and God does not want it.

• What is Covenant?

- In the Old Testament, and in the passage of the Bible used as the text of this teaching; the Hebrew word translated "covenant" is "berit". The term was probably derived from"bara", means "to bind".

- Thus, the Word "berit" denotes a binding relationship between two parties in which each pledges to perform some service for the other.

- A Bible dictionary defines Covenant As: Oath-bound promise whereby one party solemnly pledges to bless or serve another party in some specified way.

- The keeping of the promise usually depends on the meeting of certain conditions by the party to which the promise was made (Deuteronomy 7:7,12-26; 8:19,20; 28:1-68; Jeremiah 3:6-8; Hosea 1:1-8).

- Although, in some occasions the promise was made unilaterally and unconditionally. An Example: The covenant God made with Noah called for no human response (Genesis 9:9-17).

- Thus, the term of whatever covenant made or cut by God with anyone is usually based on the condition of perfect obedience. The obedience is always measured by whether the person, the covenantee, keeps God's commands—the instructions of God, the Covenanter.

- Consequently, God does cut or establish a covenant with the people who walk in obedience to His commands. Intimacy or secret counsel is shared with such people by God.

- If God established a covenant with a person, a believer, He usually would bless the person, be committed to the covenant and perpetuated the covenant; and caused it to be extended to his or her posterity.

• The covenant of redemption, which was the first covenant. This was the covenant God the Father made or established with God the Son to redeem the fallen mankind, humanity. This covenant was made before the time began:

9 WHO HAS SAVED US AND CALLED US WITH A HOLY CALLING, not according to our works, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS OWN PURPOSE AND GRACE WHICH WAS GIVEN TO US IN CHRIST JESUS BEFORE TIME BEGAN, 10 BUT HAS NOW BEEN REVEALED BY THE APPEARING OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel" (2 Timothy 1:9,10 NKJV).

- This covenant of redemption has a lot of benefits or blessings which are stated in the Bible. Obeying or following or living these principles; that is, practicing them, strengthens your relationship and communion with God.

- In addition, there are principles or rules which God emphasizes for an individual believer to do or practice, pay attention to, and should make to be part of his or her life. Such rules also should not be trivialized or joked with (Judges 13:12).

- Obeying and living by the general principles found in the Bible, practicing the Word, is the foundation of whatever covenant God would establish with you. The covenant would mainly be based on your obedience to those specific rules or commands or instructions given to you by God, as an individual believer.

- Authority to use the name of Christ Jesus to deal with the enemy, the devil and his cohorts (Luke 10:19); And ask whatever we want from God the Father (John 16:23); is given to every believer in Christ Jesus.

- However, the secrets of God's covenant, His ways, are shared with those who walk intimately with Him: "HE MADE KNOWN HIS WAYS TO MOSES, HIS ACTS TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL" (Psalm 103:7 NKJV).

"HE REVEALED HIS CHARACTER TO MOSES AND HIS DEEDS TO THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL."

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

- If you are having any ailment in your body as you read this piece, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).

c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living

Devotional Scripture:

Proverbs 26:12 (KJV): 12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. Proverbs 26:12 (AMP): 12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes and conceit? There is more hope for a (self-confident) fool than for him.

Thought for the Day

We all are prone to trust our own understanding rather than the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." A fool rejects good counsel and stubbornly trusts his own inclinations. He is wise in his own estimation. Intelligent people consider themselves to be wise, and usually are - but with mere worldly wisdom. Godless, intellectual people are knowledgeable about many things, but knowledge "puffs up." 1 Corinthians 8:1 says, "Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth." Pride makes it difficult for people to turn to God and learn true wisdom. Many intellectuals see no need to believe in God or for a nation to follow His laws. They measure everything by their own understanding, reflecting Lucifer's pride. The arrogant person who trusts his intellect and rejects the Bible as untrue is a greater fool. "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God" (Psalm 14:1a). This is because he simply relies on his own opinions and instincts and neglects God's Word. Man's wisdom alone, without God, will eventually fail him.

Pride is a deadly sin. David cried out to be delivered from the sins in his life which were hidden from his personal knowledge. "Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression" (Psalm 19:12-13). He especially asked to be held back from sins of presumption that would lead to the sin of the "great transgression." I believe that great transgression is pride. Exalting oneself in one's own thinking is the opposite of God's character. It is especially wicked if it leads one to exalt oneself above God. As we saw, Satan, originally named Lucifer, committed this great transgression. Though he was the anointed cherub, his heart was lifted up because of his beauty. He corrupted his wisdom for the sake of his splendor. In his pride, he desired God's throne and set his will against God's (Ezekiel 28:12-19). Because he chose to rebel, he lost his position in heaven and will be banished to hell (Isaiah 14:12-15).

"Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men" (1 Corinthians 1:20-25).

Prayer Devotional for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, we want to pray as David did, for deliverance from the great transgression of pride. Lord, show us any sin in our lives that we are blinded to seeing, so that we may repent. Set us free from those things that would keep us from becoming like You. Lord, I desire to have a humble heart before You and before others. Help me not to be condescending to others, but to prefer others and esteem them. May we all give honor to whom honor is due, and especially may we not only honor You but also bring honor to You.
