So, what is living water? Living water can be understood in various ways, but the clearest way is that living water is a symbol for salvation and a true knowledge of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. God provides us with everything we need and is the “living water” that continues to always give to us.

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 12:20-22(KJV): 20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. 21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief. 22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Thought for the Day
Verse 20 - Deceit is all too prevalent in today's society. The dictionary defines "deceit" as: (1) The act of representing as true what is known to be false; deceiving or lying, (2) A dishonest action or trick; fraud or lie.
Those who practice deceit have evil imaginations. Greed motivates them to seek personal gain at another's expense, and fraudulent schemes abound today. Covetousness (desiring what belongs to another) is idolatry (Colossians 3:5). Swindlers avoid honest work and take advantage of others' weaknesses. Seeking to make money without working for it is unrighteous (2 Thessalonians 3:10). Our character is built through honest work. Anyone claiming to be a Christian while swindling others brings disrepute to the church. We are told not to even fellowship with brothers and sisters in the Lord who are dishonest, immoral, and greedy. "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such any one no not to eat" (1 Corinthians 5:11).
Promoters of peace will have joy. Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God" (Matthew 5:9). We are blessed when we pursue peace and counsel others to walk in peace. We promote peace between God and man by sharing the Gospel. There is great joy in bringing others to Christ and helping them live godly lives.
Verse 21 - Ultimately, no evil, misfortune, or calamity shall overcome the righteous, whereas the wicked will be filled with these things. Looking at this verse, we may not believe it, because we or other Christians we know have gone through many kinds of evil, misfortune, and calamity. However, in this world, we may suffer from the same things that people who do not know the Lord suffer; but the difference is that we go through them and are not destroyed by them. Our eternal state in Christ causes us to overcome all evil the devil may try to bring our way. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).
Our life in Christ enables us to overcome all the evil and suffering that Satan may try to bring our way. We are more than conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37-39; Isaiah 54:17a). For those without faith, suffering has no benefit. The fate of the wicked is ruin, which their wicked deeds bring upon them.
Verse 22 - The fate of the wicked is different, as their wicked deeds bring them down. They are ultimately destroyed – either in this life on earth or the life to come in hell. They are filled with mischief and deceit. Their lying lips are extremely disgusting and hateful to the Lord, but He delights in those who speak and act honestly. God cannot lie and hates lying. Lying is on the list of seven things God hates in Proverbs 6:17. We must guard ourselves against it.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your love and goodness to me. You have been very patient and merciful to me. Lord, I need that same love and mercy towards others. Father, I ask You to remove all deceit from my heart and cleanse me so I might have a pure heart before You. Lord, deliver our nation from deceit and lying. Help us all to keep our word when we give it to someone. Restore truth to our land. We desire truth to abide in our homes and our businesses. Lord, I also ask that You give me faith and an overcoming spirit so I will not walk in fear. Help me trust you, even when my circumstances cause me to be doubtful at times. Deliver me from doubt and unbelief in every area of my life. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Steven P. Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living Devotional Scripture: Proverbs 12:16-19(KJV):
16 A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
17 He that speaketh truth showeth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
19 The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Proverbs 12:16-9(AMP): 16 A fool's wrath is quickly and openly known, but a prudent man ignores an insult.
17 He who breathes truth shows forth righteousness -- uprightness and right standing with God; but a false witness utters deceit. 18 some speak rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
19 Truthful lips shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is (credited) but for a moment.
Thought for the Day
Verse 16 - A fool is quick to speak whatever is on his mind. If insulted, he expresses his anger immediately. The Bible says that someone who does not control his tongue is a fool. Someone like this blows up easily and speaks their mind openly. A wise man ignores people's insults. A man filled with the Holy Spirit is cautious about what he says and asks the Lord to fill his mouth with the right words. We all find ourselves in situations where others lash out at us and we want to retaliate, but hurtful words only compound a problem. Responding to hateful words with kind ones diffuses anger and avoids trouble. "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger..." (Proverbs 15:1).
Being angry is not a sin. God Himself is angered by injustice, murder, and every other kind of wickedness. God hates sin because it destroys the people He created. We should be angry at the evil we see in the world. However, we must not hate wicked people, but rather their deeds and the source of evil. Satan and his demons, not people, are the real enemies. We must love sinners and pray that they will come to the knowledge of Christ and abandon their evil ways.
We are to confess our unrighteous anger to the Lord and ask Him to deal with unjust situations, as He helps us to walk in righteousness and speak truth. God tells us to "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:26-27). Many psychologists advise people to vent their anger by throwing something or shouting in a closed room. While this might temporarily help to relieve pressure, without the Lord, it will never get to the root of the problem. We must forgive those with whom we are angry and cry out to the Lord that His love and grace will prevail in the matter. Sometimes the Lord will lead us in an emotional release by crying, wailing, or even shouting in prayer times. We must trust God to make things right, as we resist yielding to anger, resentment, or bitterness.
Verses 17-18 – We can bring wounding or healing with our mouths. How destructive and hurtful words can be! Proud or thoughtless words can pierce and wound the soul as deeply as a sword can pierce and wound the body. But those with godly wisdom release God's healing to inner wounds through their words of blessing.
Verse 19 – What we say will be established if we are honest and speak the truth in love. Liars may deceive others for a time, but eventually, one's sin finds one out. Numbers 32:23 says, "…And be sure your sin will find you out." In the end, truth will triumph, for it is stronger than any lie.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, we are grateful for Your love and mercy in our lives. We thank You for being patient with us when we have failed and lost our temper in the past. We are grateful that we have been delivered from resentment and an unrestrained temper. May we be gracious to those still having problems in this area? Lord, deliver us all from lying and anger so that we can truly love one another. Give us Your love for one another, so that the world will see us walking hand in hand. May they know and believe that You are real. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Daily Devotionals for March 24, 2025
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 12:12-15(KJV):
12 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Thought for the Day
These verses tell us that the righteous are delivered from trouble, while their transgressions scare the wicked.
Verse 12 - Wicked men desire the things that evil men catch in their net. The righteous are different; their lives produce fruit that benefits others because they are rooted and grounded in God's love (Ephesians 3:16-19).
Verses 13-14 - Most people do not realize that the things they speak, whether positive or negative, will affect their lives. We all know people who are habitual complainers, always confessing a scenario of bad things that could happen. Many of these bad things happen because they are not walking in faith. Regardless, those who voice a positive confession of faith in the face of their troubles by inspiring others and many are granted miracles to overcome the obstacles in their lives.
A Biblical confession is not to be confused with the "positive confession" taught by success propagators. Positive confessions they have are aimed at promoting the self, not the kingdom of God. They usually claim worldly wealth and personal success. Success propagators' confessions are based on selfishness and the misuse of Scripture, rather than on truth.
Confessing God's Word will empower us to do His will. We must be careful to claim scriptural promises for what we desire but for what the Lord desires for us. God desires to bless us but desires even more to cleanse us. He is more interested in our eternal character than our temporary comfort. We must be as faithful to claim God's promises for cleansing from what offends Him, as for healing or material blessings.
Verse 15 - The wise seek the counsel of God's Word. We must learn not to give our opinions, but to speak what God's Word says. We easily quote what men say on a subject, often believing their words, even if they contradict the Bible. We may hesitate to quote what God says because the devil persuades us that to do so in our circumstances would be lying. Satan wants us to look at our circumstances rather than God's Word. Circumstances, however, are subject to change, and one of the things that cause them to change is confessing God's Word over them (Romans 4:17).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, we are grateful for Your constant provision. You have never failed us; Lord and we know that You never will. You are a faithful God, and we ask You to help us to trust You before our answer arrives. Lord, you are our source, and we know and continue to look to You, we need never worry about how You will provide. We know that You will. Guard our mouths and remind us to speak what Your Word says about our situation. Deliver us from every vestige of fear, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so we always walk in faith. Lord, we pray that all our brothers and sisters in the family of God will also be granted this favor. May we each fulfill Your will in our lives. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

I stand before you today with gratitude and humility to share my testimony. I know, with all my heart, that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. His love is infinite, and His sacrifice allows us to find peace and joy in this life and eternal happiness in the life to come.
I believe in the power of prayer and the blessings that come from personal communication with our Heavenly Father. I know that He listens, answers, and guides us according to His divine will. I have felt His presence in my life, especially during moments of trial and uncertainty.
I am thankful for the scriptures and the truths they hold. The Book of Mormon is a profound witness of Christ’s divinity, and through its pages, I have gained deeper understanding and faith. I know that the words of prophets—ancient and living—are inspired by God and serve as a light in our lives.
I testify of the importance of family and the eternal bonds we share. The gospel of Jesus Christ has strengthened my relationships and taught me to love and serve others unconditionally.
In all these things, I know that God is good, that Jesus Christ lives, and that His teachings lead us to the path of righteousness and joy. I leave these words in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
