to the strict green members ,on scale of 0 to 5 on great details ,how good is president biden, plus overall scores on notables sources
Detail Score: 4/5 The search results provide a wealth of information on Biden's policies and actions, allowing for a detailed assessment. However, some specific Green Party priorities are not directly addressed. Overall Rating: 2/5 This rating reflects a mixed performance from a strict Green Party perspective, with some positive actions but significant shortcomings in key areas. Key factors influencing this rating:
Environmental Policies (3/5):
Biden has implemented significant environmental regulations, including strict rules on coal-fired power plants
. The administration aims to cut carbon emissions by roughly half by 2030
.
However, Green Party members might argue these measures don't go far enough to address the climate crisis urgently.
Social Justice and Equity (3/5):
The administration has focused on advancing equity and racial justice through various federal agencies
. Efforts to strengthen social safety net programs and close wealth gaps are noted
.
However, persistent poverty and inequalities remain a concern for Green Party members.
Economic Policies (2/5):
Biden's focus on helping the middle class and supporting labor unions aligns somewhat with Green values
.
However, the continuation of a capitalist economic model and insufficient action on wealth redistribution would be criticized by strict Green members.
Foreign Policy (1/5):
The search results don't provide much information on foreign policy.
Green Party members would likely criticize ongoing military interventions and defense spending.
Healthcare (2/5):
While not directly addressed in the search results, Biden's healthcare policies fall short of the universal, single-payer system advocated by the Green Party.
Public Perception:
Biden's approval rating stands at 37%, indicating general dissatisfaction.
Globally, Biden receives higher ratings than Trump, but his ratings have declined in many countries
.
From a strict Green Party perspective, while Biden has made some progress on environmental and social justice issues, his policies often don't go far enough or fundamentally challenge the systems that Green Party members see as problematic. The continuation of corporate-friendly policies, insufficient action on climate change, and a foreign policy that doesn't fully embrace non-violence and demilitarization would be significant points of criticism.

Undocumented Immigrant Benefits: A Debate Worth Having
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is facing a crucial decision: should undocumented immigrants be eligible for unemployment benefits? This comes after vetoing assistance for noncitizens to buy homes. With mounting pressure from his party and criticisms from the GOP, Newsom must balance progressive goals with fiscal realities. Does providing unemployment benefits to undocumented workers make sense given their contributions to the system, or is it financially untenable due to the state's budget deficit? Should other states follow California's lead in initiatives like this? Let's discuss the pros and cons!

The Reverberations: Cori Bush's Resolute Campaign for Re-Election
the Reverberations Cori Bush's Resolute Campaign for Re-Election Amidst the Northwoods' strip mall backdrop, a multitude gathered fervently to endorse the imminent political journey of a local ordained minister. This unconventional assembly, akin to a religious congregation, united Christians, Jews, Muslims, and agnostics in a progressive cause rather than a conventional faith. Noteworthy figures adorned video screens, featuring quotes from influential leaders such as Baptist minister Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., civil rights advocate Fannie Lou Hamer, revolutionary activist Angela Y. Davis, and former U.S. Rep. Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to Congress. The assembly echoed chants popularized by Assata Shakur, a Black Panther Party member, as they passionately declared their duty to fight for freedom and mutual support. A poignant moment arose when a skilled musician, Katarra Parson, expressed gratitude to Cori Bush, evoking emotions with a rendition of Andra Day's "Rise Up," drawing attention to Bush's impactful addresses in Congress. U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Bush's guest speaker and a member of the progressive 'Squad,' delved into her own humble beginnings, drawing contrasts with wealthier colleagues and critiquing policy decisions. The progressive duo criticized the Biden administration's Gaza policy, intertwining foreign policy expenses with domestic program deficits. Externally, a truck circled, highlighting the irony of allocating funds for overseas conflicts while domestic issues persist. Internally, Bush, donning a 'Ceasefire' t-shirt, justified her wardrobe choices, asserting her commitment to conveying messages effectively. Bush, a registered nurse and ordained minister, emerged onto the political stage following Michael Brown's death in Ferguson. Reflecting on past election cycles, she anticipates heightened financial opposition in her bid for re-election, predicting her opponent's substantial fundraising. In a pre-emptive move, Bush prepared her followers to discern truth from misleading campaign tactics, urging them to reject falsehoods disseminated through various mediums. Facing a formidable challenge from St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell, Bush used her platform to scrutinize the allocation of funds for the Israeli military campaign. Despite potential financial setbacks, her loyal base remains a stronghold against Bell's campaign. Within the assembly, Bush was revered as a moral compass, championing causes even when uncomfortable, a sentiment echoed by President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen Megan Green. Bush embraced the term 'radical,' asserting that societal exploitation necessitates a protest. She redirected attention to domestic needs, emphasizing the rechanneling of funds from overseas conflicts to local issues. Acknowledging the strains within the Democratic party, Bush shared her struggle with divisive calls and expressed nostalgia for her private life. Undeterred by the sacrifices, she reiterated her commitment to her calling, symbolized in her autobiography, "The Forerunner." The official campaign messaging downplayed doctrinal themes, but the passionate words of a supporter on social media revealed a more fervent perspective. Bush criticized the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), attributing opposition to dark money influence. She clarified her stance against supremacy, emphasizing equality and rejecting the notion of anti-Semitism. In the eyes of her supporters, Bush's past experiences and dedication make her a beacon of understanding, someone they entrust with their traumas and pain. In essence, the article captures the intricate tapestry of Bush's re-election campaign, reflecting the diverse and impassioned voices that rally behind her cause. Read the full article

Why Politics Matters to You Right This Second
So many people have told me that they want to see "how things go," before they consider choosing their desired Democratic nominee. This means that we are far too reliant on the media to frame these candidates for us. We are not taking the decision enough in our hands by doing our own thorough research. It is too easy to quote someone out of context. It is too easy to created a misleading headline. It is too easy for an author, whose publisher is a billionaire with their own agenda and whose own agenda would clearly be influential, to guide the pen in a way that appeals to your emotions and further pushes for their own preferences. It it is too easy to take what these snippets mean to heart without questioning.
It is too easy to let someone else take the reigns to your decisions, but what isn't easy is dealing with the consequences. This system is not designed, by nature, to help you. While it may seem easy to let other sources guide you, it is not easy to pay the rent, pay for a vehicle (benefiting big oil), save for a house and retirement, pay medical bills (advantaging big pharma and private medicine), work at a crippling job while paying crippling debt (advantaging capitalists, banks, and debt companies), deal with our mental health, replace common items we need in our homes and daily lives (more capitalists), pay taxes that pay for foreign wars (benefiting politicians, those that deal in arms or oil [sometimes being the same people], lawyers, and disadvantaging to those in other countries), deal with our current and future primary health (advantaging insurance companies and private medicine), be able to take advantage of public systems set in place to help us due to lack of time from being overworked, invest in our own pursuits, and deal with the time and financial burden of legal systems we inevitably find ourselves in due to the negligence of landlords, state and city officials, corporations, and other private entities with too much power in this system that manipulates us (more capitalists, politicians, and lawyers).
All of that does not include the destroying of our resources, animals, stability of our own environmental circumstances, which affects our health and people in other countries on our Earth, to which we are all citizens We must also look to the threat to our entire political system, which claims to be based on a document written with the intention to protect our freedoms, but has been ignored and perjured against by, not only, our current administration, but including previous ones and our congress(es). Our country has ignored the demand for true equal rights and anti-trust laws for far too long, which has divided us and created a gap between our higher and lower socioeconomic classes, and also created a gap in the influence both classes have in our country.
There is too much at stake. If we want our lives to be easier, then we have to work a little harder the next two years. We have to learn and be involved in politics a little more, because politics is involved with us in everything we do. We have to take the extra 15 minutes to wake up early and read the news. We have to sit down with purpose to the computer or while we're on our phones and check everything. We have to check where these people stand based on their voting record, based on their interviews, based on their past statements, based on the policies they've enacted or pushed in other positions, and check our sources. We have to pay attention to local election and state elections. We have to research our ballots ahead of time. We need to cross-reference anything we read-especially if it is something upsetting, surprising, or extremely influential. We have to talk to our families and friends about it. We need to have discourse and pool our resources to keep ourselves accountable and focused. We need to do what we can to hold the torch as citizens.
Even with a Republic, we have a vote that is counted and displayed. We have a voice with our social media platforms and especially our own mouths. We have a responsibility that is easier than settling and suffering anymore. This is all happening right now.

To the green members on the scale of 0 to 5 grade on details of how good is President Obama when he was elected ?plus overall scores
Evaluating President Barack Obama's performance from the perspective of Green Party members involves considering his administration's alignment with the Green Party's Ten Key Values and progressive causes. Here is a detailed assessment on a scale of 0 to 5:
Environmental Policies: 3/5
Obama made significant strides in addressing climate change, including the Clean Power Plan and the Paris Agreement. His administration reduced carbon emissions and promoted renewable energy. However, some progressives felt these measures were not aggressive enough to combat climate change fully.
Social Justice and Equity: 4/5
Obama's administration made considerable progress in advancing social justice, including the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," support for marriage equality, and efforts to tackle poverty and invest in communities. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) expanded healthcare access, though it fell short of the universal healthcare model favored by the Green Party.
Economic Policies: 3/5
Obama inherited a severe economic recession and implemented measures like the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the Dodd-Frank Act to stabilize and reform the economy. While these actions averted a deeper crisis and created jobs, income inequality persisted, and some felt the recovery did not benefit all Americans equally.
Foreign Policy: 3/5
Obama's foreign policy included significant diplomatic achievements like the Iran Nuclear Deal and the normalization of relations with Cuba. However, his administration also faced criticism for military interventions in Libya and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, which conflicted with the Green Party's non-violence and anti-war principles.
Healthcare: 3/5
The ACA was a landmark achievement in expanding healthcare coverage and regulating insurance practices. However, it did not achieve the universal healthcare system that the Green Party advocates for, leaving some progressives dissatisfied.
Education: 3/5
Obama's administration invested in education through initiatives like Race to the Top and efforts to expand broadband access in rural schools. These measures aimed to improve educational outcomes but also faced criticism for promoting charter schools and standardized testing.
Overall Leadership and Public Perception: 4/5
Obama's leadership was marked by a commitment to inclusivity and progressive values. His presidency inspired many, particularly as the first African American president, and he maintained relatively high approval ratings throughout his tenure. However, some progressives felt his administration did not go far enough in challenging systemic issues and promoting radical change.
Overall Score: 3.29/5
From a Green Party perspective, Obama's presidency is viewed positively in many areas, particularly in social justice and environmental policies. However, there are criticisms regarding the extent of his economic reforms, healthcare policies, and foreign interventions. His administration made significant progress but did not fully align with the more radical and comprehensive changes advocated by the Green Party.

Pro-Palestinian Group Takes a Stand
A national pro-Palestinian group recently announced it won't endorse Vice President Kamala Harris due to concerns over her handling of the Israel-Hamas war. While the group also opposes Trump, fearing his policies would escalate violence in Gaza, they promote voting "uncommitted" in Democratic primaries as a form of protest. This stance shines a light on the growing tensions between centrist Democrats and progressive factions. Is this move a powerful stand for their values or a risky gamble that could backfire in the upcoming elections? What are your thoughts on their strategy?
