The Justice Society invites the Justice League over for Thanksgiving dinner. Things look good so far.

Mister Terrific finds Batman to a less-than-ideal dinner guest.

Seems Bats is worried that having both teams gathered in one place is too tempting a target for the bad guys.

Turns out he's correct as two villains teleport in and cause the dinner table to flip over, ruining all the food. However, when they realize they're facing 30 superheroes the fight quickly ends.

It's then up to the leaders of the two teams to figure out a way to feed their very hungry friends.

Powerpuff Girls Z OC Redesign

I think a while ago I posted the old version before life hit me with the train of reality

This is a sketch of the new design I had to quickly do for an AiTommy on YouTube art entry.

I named her Blaze as she didn't have a name yet, and I wanted to keep it in line with the other B names.

When I was doing the redesigns I made a new story. Originally she was just a civillain character with a belt that gave her superpowered objects.

In her new story, Bliss is her older sister, and the other forgotten powerpuff girls are her friends. They will create their own superhero group.

But I saw a bunch of fanart of that already and didn't diminish that, so I just kept her original story. Now, she has an adopted robot brother, whom I will show later.

For the art entry, you could do the PPGZ style or the PPG original show style so I did both. lol

♛ Write Your "Alpha Girls" Right

Women in literature and other media have traditionally played a side role/ femme fetale, with the "strong female character trope" often falling into two categories:

Loud and abrasive characters taking on traditionally masculine roles of skillsets.

Overly modest strong characters who doesn't know what they are capable of.

There's nothing wrong with your characters having the above qualities. The problem is when your character has ONLY these traits.

Let's start with a definition of an "Alpha Girl":

A girl/woman who has embraced her ambitions and power. She is talented, highly motivated and self-confident.

The term "alpha" comes from research on animal behavior, and used to designate the animal that is the leader of a pack. Thus, an alpha girl will have characteristics like:

believing her ability to achieve is limitless

self-identify as a leader

being recognized as others as impactful and competent

have extremely high ambitions

Here are some things to keep in mind to make such a character believable:

Give her complex emotions

The greatest danger of writing powerful women is that they are only powerful, which reverts her back to being a one-dimensional trope.

she can be a stoic warrior who cries when her best friend dies, or a sweet kindergarten teacher who boxes to deal with her rage.

People are complicated and often unpredictable, so giving your female character the same complex range of emotions you yourself experience as a human being is a good way to start writing stronger characters.

2. Give her flaws

Trying to create a "perfect" character will make her ingenuine and one dimensional. If your alpha girl has flaws, that flaw cannot be one that is somehow advantageous or liked by everyone that essentially makes it NOT a real flaw.

Every character trait is a double-edged sword. Instead of just leaning on sterotypical "female" flaws, think of how a good thing about your girl can also be bad, adding depth to her.

You can also give her multiple (albeit minor) flaws. Trying to define a character using a sole primary flaw tends to appear forced and unrealistic.

3. The alpha gril doesn't have to be alone to rise above sterotyping

One thing that annoys me is how strong female characters are often portrayed as being a lone wolf. This includes the "I'm not like other girls" attitude where a smart girl is simply set apart from the rest, with the other girls either (1) admire/half-fearing her or (2) trying to bring her down.

Integrate them into a group of friends/ society/ league. Show how she can lead naturally and mingle with others, not just being high-nosed and better than everyone all the time.

4. Give her More than Looks

I'm not against attractive female characters, but it makes me sad how being good-looking is the default for being powerful.

So, no more "she was pretty but didn't know it". Does she have a defining physical feature that is integral to the storyline? Does she know that she is pretty and actively uses it to her advantage? Give us a character who is not beautiful but still confident and liked.

5. Give her Female Allies

Sometimes writers try to make a female character appear stronger by turning her into a "tomboy" with only male friends.

Make her sound more real by giving her genuine female friends (not some paper-cut princess to complement her, but an actual alluy)

6. Involve character growth

The reason why "I'm not like other girls" trope is criticized is because the strength of such female characters come by default and not a result of character growth or actual effort or further development/evolution.

Your alpha girl must put in the effort to be the alpha, not rely on circumstance or worse, another character, for her powers.

Women, like all people, are always changing and evolving. Focus on creating a dynamic that pushes your alpha girl to face new challenges and even change herself.

The era of dolls

The year 2023 in the filmography was full of the motif of women-dolls, puppets, marionettes and mannequins. The best example of a living doll in the most literal sense of the word is Barbie (dir. Greta Gerwig), who lives in an artificial world made of plastic. Whereas in Poor Things (dir. Yorgos Lanthimos) we can see Bella Baxter - a female version of Frankeintein, who has a newborn's brain transplanted. Another heroine worthy of the title of a little puppet controlled by a man would be Priscilla (dir. Sofia Coppola), who lives in a golden cage. All these female characters have in common their lack of independence, infantility and reduction to their own sexuality and appearance, at least at the beginning of the story.

The perversity of a 'Baby Doll' can be handled by a psychiatrist; there are ways and means of calming the resentments of a rebellious gril and winning her over to virtue. [S. de Beauvoir, Brigitte Bardot and the Lolita syndrome, 1962 p. 22]

Both Barbie, Priscilla and Bella emancipate themselves at some point by freeing from the power of others. I could even say that they become more mature after being exposed to the real world or honest, difficult life experiences. At this point, we can agree with Beauvoir's statement about the perversity of Baby Dolls, as she called young women characterized by childish behavior and submissiveness. However, as the history of the characters mentioned above indicates, it is impossible to "calm" a rebellious girl, especially when she discovers her puppet dependence.

Male requirements and female emancipation

It is not without reason that I quoted Simone de Beauvoir, one of the pioneers of contemporary second-wave feminism. The beginnings of all three films seem to be a small utopia created by men for men. However, when I called 2023 the era of dolls, I did not mean a return to the cinema of the 1950s, when Brigthette Bardot or Marilyn Monroe dominated the screens and patriarchy dominated homes. Over the course of the story, Priscilla, Bella and Barbie become independent, strong women who can inspire real women in various ways. The latest cinema is definitely feminist cinema and gives women back what they should have been presenting on the screen for a long time - strength, freedom of choice and self-creation.

Pink lipsticks, petticoats, puff sleeves, false eyelashes are only an artificial cover for women's true identity

After all, women are not mannequins and dolls to be decorated, and they do not dance like puppets led by men. They have their own path to follow in life. Regardless of whether it is a path that leads to awakening and discovering sexuality, studying medicine and gaining mental and material independence from an abusive man.

OH OH I been waiting for this day!! So like I had a few ideas for Toxin but it was similar to someone else and I don't want to seem like I was copying them so i changed it since then!!!

TOXIN IS basically not really a Sans like dream and nightmare (he is energy like the apple twins) he was not made like them he is a robot WITH the energy built into him, he harnesses all energy from the universe, he was originally made by [undisclosed information] to be a Doomsday boom essentially who's going to harnessed all of the energy from the universe and basically just make it collapse killing everything and every one within this world, no not able to go to other worlds just this entire multiverse because after all we're not the only universe there's another universe where toxin wasn't made to do this to this but lets not get into that =] but back to what he is and and what he was made for, teh person who made him... Decided he was useless I was going to rewrite him in general, but in the mints of doing a reset, he didn't go back to his original spawn point like he normally does which is in the lab, he woke up somewhere else his memory is being completely erased not remembering who or what he is, he was a robot and a complete different au... Not knowing who he was or what he was feeling quite useless.. from the beginning not understanding what his purpose was cuz his crater wasn't there right in front of him like all the Many resets before, to give him a purpose straight off he would eventually go off and just explore, as he starts understanding the world better, find another au as well, he would bring a friend with him that knew how to open portals to those worlds and the two would explore together, he enjoyed this a lot soon settling in a au for him self (sorry this doesn't make sense i am not just AFTER BUILDING UP ALL OF THIS IN MY HEAD I'M JUST EXPLODING TO TELL!!!) he adopts a girl this gril in the au he is staying in, this human girl is named Jewel, eventually they AU it's destroyed by error, on the girls brithday, he wss with her before everything became destroyed, despite being her birthday she gave him a present a necklace, of a thank you Captain of being there for her, after he escaped he, you didn't find a purpose of settling in au anymore find an it quite useless now. As he wanders between the aus not louder having his friends nor his daughter, he was depressed, going back to question his purpose, what was he made for? He didn't know..he knew it was something important but he just couldn't remember, after what felt like forever..years even he met nightmare (I change it from king multiverse to nightmare sue me) Nightmare gave him a a place to stay and purpose, working for nightmare happyly =] nightmare did eventually take him to science to get his body changed a little bit cuz, he knew something was a little off about him especially energy wise, science did changes body to not be doomsday device SO THE DEATH OF THE ALL THE UNIVERSE IS NO LONGER COMING woooo let's goooo And that really it tbh oh the person who made him originally doesn't care about him it's just like oh whatever I don't have to deal with him no more it's fine.. now his powers he has two giant scissors that turns into like swords he can change the size of the swords at will cuz he is a silly boy TEGEHEHE, he can also made his hand in gus tayts shot bullets or acid whichever he's feeling that day, he also makes a little tiny bombs, and he also just likes making gimmicks or tiny little doodads mostly like weapons, but he likes making little mechanic dolls it's very interesting to him and he likes making them, he really likes hanging out with horror plus he also loves making food with him, in general he just likes learning about new things, he looks hanging out with the others too but fine killer.... Quite dumb but like studying him as a character.. he does that with everyone though, understanding them thats it :3 might add some stuff in the future though

Character 51: At this point the guy's been everything. A teenage gril? yes! A bear? you bet! the flame of a candle? been there done that. your brother? did you not recognize him? Person, Animal, or Object; he could be it all. Sometimes he tried to be helpful, but it's always best to stay true to yourself than change for society.

Character 25: She was orphaned at a young age and moved around a bit in the following couple years. She has a bright and cheerful personality which can melt any grumbly old man's heart. It takes longer to win over miserly old housekeepers tho. Eventually she proves the classic healing power of good clean air and outdoor activity!

"lets end this" johnnmy said calling in a helicopter as soloman reed dropped a nuclear bomb over arasaka ending the company forever as the edgerunners drove off into the sunset"
