Why The Dream World Is Better Than Our Best Movies
Our most popular movies explore alternate realities and worlds. Movies such as Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Tomorrow War and Tenet tinker and toy with alternate realities and timelines. Their popularity reflects our collective fascination with worlds not like our own. Or worlds just enough like our own to find fascinating.
But that fascination often falls short. Compared to traveling through actual alternate realities, movies can’t measure up. That’s right, we can explore worlds unlike our own. Worlds and dimensions just as real as the one in which you’re reading this. Visiting them requires no futuristic hardware. We don’t need advanced digital technology. Visiting such worlds happens through something everyone does every night: going to bed.
Time travel begins with the mind
Travel to alternate realities, the past or the future is easier than we think. The mind makes such travel possible. Such travel requires releasing certain beliefs. Beliefs convincing us such dimensions don’t exist. Or that they exist only in movies. Or that visiting them is impossible.
Despite such beliefs, we explore these alternate realities all the time. Even while awake. But we don’t know we do it. We can know, however. It just requires soothing beliefs standing between us and the knowing that we do this constantly.
Every moment we’re creating infinite new realities. Every action we take creates a new dimension. The moment we create one, our consciousness goes into it. We put a portion of ourselves in there. Then we explore what’s there to explore.
Tumblr media
^^We’re more than our bodies and we exist in infinite dimensions simultaneously. (Photo by David Matos on Unsplash)
In other words, we each exist in infinite dimensions. Dimensions we simultaneously create and explore. Exploring these dimensions consciously, again, requires soothing beliefs convincing us that none of what you just read is happening. It further requires softening our fixation with THIS reality. For it is mainly our fixation with this reality which binds us to it, thereby turning other legitimate experiences into fantasies or fables.
If you’re thinking “this is magical thinking”, then you’ve just proven what you’ve just read. Such beliefs convince you that what you’ve read isn’t true. They also reinforce our focus here, in this reality. Softening that belief makes available whole new worlds. Worlds just as real as this one. They exist right there, behind our persistent beliefs.
The mind is powerful. From it everything we know emerges. Exploring other dimensions is a matter then of opening ourselves up to our minds’ power.
Dreams matter…a lot
Dreams represent the closest alternate dimension “neighborhood”. Many people, including the science community, generally claim dreams are the brain processing waking experiences. They don’t matter and aren’t important, they say. Here’s a Harvard trained psychology major you may know, sharing her perspective on dreams on a popular YouTube show.
youtube
Despite Portman’s assertion, dreams happen because we reemerge into nonphysical while the body sleeps. There we rejoin our Whole Selves. What happens next is extremely complex. All the “parts” of what we are communicate across dimensions we simultaneously inhabit. This includes the “past” and “future”. This communication makes alternate dimensional travel possible. A person can literally “skip” across their alternate consciousnesses like a stone skips when thrown across water.
This nonphysical communication also makes physical life possible. Without it we wouldn’t physically survive. That’s because nonphysical animates physical. So it’s accurate to say dream experience matters more than physical reality. Because physical reality literally erupts from the mind. What we call “dreaming” is mind activity at its purest. Dreaming matters. A lot.
A self-exploration most will ignore
We do what we call “dreaming” all the time. You’re doing it right now, while reading this. Most of the time we’re not aware we’re doing it. But that can change.
Becoming aware isn’t hard. But it does take persistence and discipline. Few are willing to do what’s required. Yet, if we understood what’s there, more would pursue this expanded awareness. Still, people barely remember their dreams. Some only remember having dreamed once or twice a week. Some claim they never dream, though everyone does.
It’s no wonder, then, that humanity remains largely ignorant of real alternate realities. We don’t even think about exploring dreams. So we miss what’s beyond them.
Dreams represent the boundary between waking reality and whole new realms; dimensions that make physical life possible. Dimensions happening just beneath beliefs. Beliefs which blind us to such experiences.
With practice though, we can explore these dimensions. Such exploration can’t happen, however, while we remain singularly focused on physical reality.
Belief in an “objective” reality also hinders such explorations. Exploring the dream world and beyond also involves soothing such beliefs. An “objective” reality doesn’t exist. The phenomenon called “objective reality” is actually a subjective experience we all agree to simultaneously experience. But none of us experiences the same so-called “objective” reality. Even when it seems like we are, we are not. Every person’s experience is subjective. Knowing this is an important factor contributing to successful alternate dimension travel.
Tumblr media
^^The dreamworld is the departure point for fantastic psychic exploration. (Photo by Johannes Plenio on Unsplash)
My personal experience proves it
My own experience shows how a Positively Focused practice makes successful alternate dimension travel possible. I keep detailed records of my dreams dating back to 2015. That represents well over 4,000 individual dreams. Since 2015, my dreams became more vivid, longer and included more detail. I’ve also experienced more dreams each night. And dreams within dreams. And I can now enter the dream state easier than before. I can even do it while semi-awake.
Both Abraham and Seth say such improvements come naturally once one unravels a rigid focus on physical reality. My experience exploring dreams supports their assertions. These days I enjoy far more exotic experiences.  Out of body experiences (OBE), extra sensory perception and Kundalini experiences among them.
For example, I experienced long-form OBE travel as well as multiple, shorter such experiences during meditation. All this results from years training myself to focus less on the physical realm. I believe even more capability exists beyond even these experiences. That’s why I’m excited about my future.
Tumblr media
^^A recent long-form OBE I had.
Subjective experience is the best evidence
All the words in the world won’t convince anyone that alternate dimensions exist and travel within them is possible. Everyone who’s experienced what I have will tell you: personal experience is the best evidence. It is the only evidence convincing enough to change a person’s beliefs.
Which is why I like working with my clients. They represent people willing to consider something more lies beyond what they see with their eyes. Dissatisfaction with their lives usually brings them to me. Dissatisfaction often causes one to give up limiting beliefs. So dissatisfaction can be a good thing. But most people think their beliefs are absolutely true. So they won’t explore what lies beyond them. Or they’re too busy with everyday life.
I get it.
Natalie Portman’s Harvard education tells her dreams don’t matter. She thinks that’s true. But I know differently. The pathway through the dream world offers tremendous potential. Potential available to everyone. But potential available only for those willing to go beyond ordinary waking consciousness and commonly-held beliefs.
The rewards far exceed the effort involved
What if powers we believe exist only in the movies are available to us all? What if we can do all those things our favorite characters do in our favorite films? If alternate dimensions await our exploration, wouldn’t that be something we’d want to explore?
I think so.
Our fascination with movies tells me we want to. But our beliefs keep us from seriously developing the technology. The technology of our minds. A technology we all have. I believe a technology worth developing.
I believe that technology can completely remake what it means to be human. It can change the world for the better. It can create a world I believe we all would prefer. One far more satisfying, prosperous and centered. So the effort invested will produce outcomes far more valuable than the effort invested.
But it’s up to each of us to create that world for ourselves. I for one believe it’s worth doing. My experiences confirm that belief. As does fascination I feel when I return from a nonphysical journey.
What’s keeping you from believing such explorations are worth the effort required? That’s a question worth asking. One that offers something far better than our best movies.

People ask me sometimes how I'm so confident that we can beat climate change.
There are a lot of reasons, but here's a major one: it would take a really, really long time for Earth to genuinely become uninhabitable for humans.
Humans have, throughout history, carved out a living for themselves in some of the most harsh, uninhabitable corners of the world. The Arctic Circle. The Sahara. The peaks of the Himalayas. The densest, most tropical regions of the Amazon Rainforest. The Australian Outback. etc. etc.
Frankly, if there had been a land bridge to Antarctica, I'm pretty sure we would have been living there for thousands of years, too. And in fact, there are humans living in Antarctica now, albeit not permanently.
And now, we're not even facing down apocalypse, anymore. Here's a 2022 quote from the author of The Uninhabitable Earth, David Wallace-Wells, a leader on climate change and the furthest thing from a climate optimist:
"The most terrifying predictions [have been] made improbable by decarbonization and the most hopeful ones practically foreclosed by tragic delay. The window of possible climate futures is narrowing, and as a result, we are getting a clearer sense of what’s to come: a new world, full of disruption but also billions of people, well past climate normal and yet mercifully short of true climate apocalypse. Over the last several months, I’ve had dozens of conversations — with climate scientists and economists and policymakers, advocates and activists and novelists and philosophers — about that new world and the ways we might conceptualize it. Perhaps the most capacious and galvanizing account is one I heard from Kate Marvel of NASA, a lead chapter author on the fifth National Climate Assessment: “The world will be what we make it.”" -David Wallace-Wells for the New York Times, October 26, 2022
If we can adapt to some of the harshest climates on the planet - if we could adapt to them thousands of years ago, without any hint of modern technology - then I have every faith that we can adjust to the world that is coming.
What matters now is how fast we can change, because there is a wide, wide gap between "climate apocalypse" and "no harm done." We've already passed no harm done; the climate disasters are here, and they've been here. People have died from climate disasters already, especially in the Global South, and that will keep happening.
But as long as we stay alive - as long as we keep each other alive - we will have centuries to fix the effects of climate change, as much as we possibly can.
And looking at how far we've come in the past two decades alone - in the past five years alone - I genuinely think it is inevitable that we will overcome climate change.
So, we're going to survive climate change, as a species.
What matters now is making sure that every possible individual human survives climate change as well.
What matters now is cutting emissions and reinventing the world as quickly as we possibly can.
What matters now is saving every life and livelihood and way of life that we possibly can.

Jayce and the fallacy of the butterfly effect in Arcane's narrative
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Jayce's symbol is the butterfly, then my theory is that we're going into a full "butterfly effect" narrative in Act 2. Either we'll watch it happen, or we'll only see Jayce come out the other side of it changed by the experience, knowing - or more importantly, THINKING he knows - what to do to change the future. Literally, to "defend tomorrow."
tl;dr: Jayce will encounter the butterfly effect in season 2. Viktor and Mel both foreshadowed this in season 1. I think Jayce will fixate on Viktor and will believe that stopping or changing Viktor either in the past or the present - most likely the present - will mean he can save the future. I believe this will lead to an even worse tragedy and may have the same effect as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ekko's approach to changing the future by sticking closer to the present - considering only tiny increments of time to alter more immediate future outcomes - will be the superior approach. I also think that Jayce attempting to change the future will create the conditions that push Viktor to become the Machine Herald.
One of the most common reactions even the casual viewer had to Arcane season 1 was this: "If [character] had just done this one small thing a little differently, [tragic event] wouldn't have happened!"
Arcane has been called a Greek tragedy for the main reason that because of how well built up the characters' personalities and reasonings are, there's no other way season 1 could have gone. There was no stopping the multiple tragedies that occurred, because with one event leading to another, the chain of seemingly inevitable events goes too far back to identify what one singular event caused everything, what one character made what one decision to put our characters on the terrible paths they walked.
Arcane is about to investigate this idea in its own narrative, and I think that Jayce will be the character to stumble into the flawed idea that you can change one event, or stop one character, and change the future for the better. This is because Jayce struggles with a few very interesting character flaws, one of them being that he believes himself to be the main character, and it is therefore his responsibility to intervene, be a hero, and fix things.
Viktor and Mel both foreshadow Jayce's future encounter with the butterfly effect.
Tumblr media
Recall that Viktor said: "There is always a choice."
Jayce sees choices in black and white, believes that he has no other options but to go along with what he's persuaded and pushed into, and acts too boldly with too much power multiple times.
Tumblr media
Recall that Mel said: "We can't change what fate has in store for us, but we don't have to face it alone."
Jayce tries to solve big problems on his own, and though he delegates to Enforcers and the like, Jayce relies on his reasoning and his alone to make important decisions if he doesn't simply become persuaded - usually through strong emotions like fear - by other characters. In addition, since Mel is specifically talking about Viktor's plight here, it's worth mentioning that while Jayce did say that he would help Viktor in acts 2 and 3 of season 1, Jayce does wind up leaving Viktor to face his fate alone. When Jayce tries to change that fate in s2 ep1, ep2 shows that only tragedy can come of this as well.
Viktor and Mel's statements here are not contradictory. Viktor makes the point that you can always make a choice. In context, he's literally referring to the classic "secret third option," because given a choice between aggression and passivity, war and surrender, Viktor chooses to defuse the bomb instead. Mel, interestingly, seems to believe that destiny is fixed in a broad sense, and she operates as a politician and diplomat and investor who navigates that line of destiny in the most optimal way possible. In reality, in context, she is referring to the fact that Viktor can't change the way he was born and so he has no way to change his fate and therefore must face it, which is true - she's only missing the information that Viktor actually does have the means to change his illness and his body. Her wisdom still applies however, because he'll have to accept the hand that fate deals him after he makes that choice. Will he face it alone, or not?
There is always a choice, there's even secret third options, because having a fate doesn't mean that you are doomed to make only one possible series of choices. What it does mean is that each choice comes with a hand that fate deals you. It is impossible to know what all of these branching choices and consequences are in advance, and it is just as impossible in hindsight - the branches are too complex and the end outcomes are all equally meaningful, just different. If Arcane season 2 is to be a tragedy, it may show us that each possible outcome is still tragic if you fall for the fallacy of the butterfly effect.
Jayce is counseled by some of the wisest, cleverest characters with the deepest life experiences in Arcane, but he hardly ever takes that counsel to heart. If he does, he still acts on that counsel in flawed ways that have unintended consequences. This will come to a head in season 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Viktor and Jayce both have a butterfly following them around in season 1. The butterfly effect refers to one small seemingly insignificant event changing the course of history, and changing that event therefore changes history. Viktor bled over the railing of a Hexgate in season 1:
Tumblr media
And Heimerdinger sees what we can only assume is Viktor's blood contaminating (?) the Hexgate in s2 ep3:
Tumblr media
This might be the seemingly unimportant "inciting incident" that Jayce (and Heimerdinger and Ekko) settle on as something that should be avoided or erased by changing the past (if they time-travel with Ekko, for example).
I doubt that, if this is what this crew chooses to fixate on, it will be the only event that is considered as something to change. But let's take this and run with it for the sake of discussion.
As silly as it sounds, how do you stop Viktor from allowing his blood to come into contact with the arcane? Stop Viktor's involvement with the Academy entirely? Don't invent Hextech at all? But what if someone else invents Hextech besides Jayce? What if future tragedy befalls Piltover because it didn't invent Hextech?
The possibilities and what-ifs could branch on forever. But because Jayce is who he is, and because his tragedy with Viktor is still raw and recent and frightening, I think Jayce's butterfly effect experience will have to do with Viktor.
My personal prediction is that the timeskip between s2 ep3 and ep4 will be Jayce experiencing a timeline where Viktor, taken over by the Hexcore, brings about an apocalyptic event similar to what Heimerdinger experienced in his past. Either Jayce and co. can't go into the past to change the present, or Heimerdinger and/or Ekko advise strongly against it to avoid a paradox. This will lead to them re-entering the canon Arcane timeline before this apocalypse, but still after the timeskip. Jayce, believing that destroying Viktor and his cult will save the future, and believing that resurrecting Viktor was Jayce's mistake to fix, attacks him. But the consequences don't unfold the way he hopes, because trying to change fate once the cards have already been dealt has led to tragedy before.
Tumblr media
The butterfly is a symbol of something other than just the butterfly effect - change, evolution, and rebirth. If the butterfly symbolizes the butterfly effect for Jayce, then I think it has a different meaning for Viktor - the change and rebirth meaning.
I've always found it very interesting that we see a similar-looking butterfly on Progress Day... but made of metal.
Tumblr media
Every time Viktor's situation changes, he adapts and evolves. If Jayce attacks him, if his cult is destroyed, if the Hexcore is causing Viktor to decay, if all of these things happen at once - he'll just evolve again, and I think the Machine Herald is the next step. And the Machine Herald will be a triumph for Viktor, but Jayce will believe that he's created something even worse. The resulting feud will be a personal nightmare for both of them.
I think this still allows Viktor to use his own agency to choose to become the Machine Herald (the MH will probably be the "secret third option" that saves Viktor, or there will be a secret third option that ends the feud) while still allowing Jayce to be offended and horrified at whatever the Machine Herald represents or is trying to do in the undercity. Introducing the element of time travel allows Arcane to explore the meta concept of tragedy and fate that season 1 was built on while showing that you can't "solve" a tragedy, because there are other terrible possibilities lurking behind alternate choices. Especially if what you're trying to change is singular people or events and not systems of power.
Tumblr media
This is why Ekko's approach with his Z-drive will be superior to Jayce's sweeping attempt at changing the future. Ekko's goal has always been societal change. He creates his own punk society in the undercity, more progressive and successful than anything Vander or Silco ever created, and a better bastion of safety, hope, and progress than what Heimerdinger founded in Piltover. Trying to change systems by going back in time is most likely futile. But taking what Ekko has already built in the Firelights, curing his tree, and fighting for the Firelights' survival bit by bit by optimizing the present with the Z-drive shows that:
It's more worth it to focus on becoming wise (Ekko's mask is an owl) and making choices you won't regret
It's best if you don't face your fate alone (act as a collective and take care of each other)
Consider every option, not just the obvious black and white choices
Maintain and fix what you've already built instead of abandoning it once things get difficult
Adapt as needed if the choices you made lead to dark consequences, and once again, stick together and take care of each other when the bad times do come
That's my Act 2 but, ultimately, my season 2 prediction based on the butterfly symbolism we've already seen. Ekko's involvement is what will give the series the at least partial happy ending that the creators have referred to. I personally don't think that the Viktor/Jayce feud will end quite so well, but maybe, they will still survive.

Let your bad thoughts be bad thoughts and your bad feelings be bad feelings. Let "I feel so worthless right now" turn into "I want to do something that'll make me feel better" instead of "the fact that I feel worthless must mean that I am". There is so much power in actively refusing to tie negativity to the way you see yourself, without ignoring it altogether.

Omg can we see more of fairy dev?
Tumblr media
Here's another Fairy Dev!
The Pixies love pampering Devin, haha. They'll let him sit in all of their meetings as they argue over this or that policy. Any input he gives is given great consideration, and generally, he gets better benefits than other Pixies do.
Whenever a Pixie is about to be scolded, they give the job to Dev. There's just something about a small child yelling at a fairy over his "Adjudication" of them that they find endearing. Dev is the only Pixie who can get away with this.

God forbid you ever criticize the lack of consequences Bakugou experiences in MHA, or suddenly you’ll find dozens of Bakugou stans pouring into your mentions to make a speech about how cruel you are for forcing him to eat cement. They’ll act as though “consequences” inherently involves throwing him into the dungeon or putting him in detention for 100 years and then moan about how him facing consequences would only perpetuate a cycle of abuse/discrimination.
Listen, it’s not really that much of a consequence if the “consequence” in question isn’t directly connected to his current or past bad behaviour. “Oh but his scars!” “When he died that one time!” “His guilt for getting kidnapped” None of those are related to his bullying, and in my opinion, that makes them insufficient as consequences in an arc about changing for the better.
The consequences I would actually like to see could be as simple as: Izuku feels sad/mad because of what he went through, or certain characters reflect on how Bakugou’s past impacts their perception of him. More introspection on the victim’s end is needed, Bakugou doesn’t necessarily need to be pilloried for the arc to be satisfying.

Bridgerton time travel to just before season one.
Anthony immediately breaks up with Sienna and starts arraigning things for Kate's family arrival. Before being reminded by his mother and Benedict that he is Viscount Bridgerton first and others can help the Sharma's get settled in England.
Kate tells Mary that they are going to England now and tells Edwina to forget all that she told her about marriage, and she'll help her find a love match. Once she gets married to Anthony, after a decent engagement period, she starts helping Daphne, Lady Danbury and Violet with items that require a lighter touch then her husband's.
Benedict finds Sophie and gets her out of Araminta's clutches. Then he helps Anthony with various legal/financial matters to support all of their family and friends in the future. He also continues his art because he loves it.
Daphne helps Sophie find employment in the meantime and works with her mother to set up other social matters that will help them in the future.
Sophie is using this opportunity to help Posy get away from her mother as well. Lady Danbury eventually offers her room and board as a Governess for her grandson Gareth.
Colin starts to publicly court Penelope. She insists that he still travel and start his journals, and they can have a long engagemnet. He of course brings back gifts for everyone, even people who aren't legally in his family yet. He also takes Albion and Harry under his wing and has them hang out with the rest of the Bridgerton men.
Penelope takes this chance to improve her spy network Whistledown sources. She also makes sure to set up her sister's with their future husbands and warns her mother that her father is in worse trouble then she suspects. She and Eloise bring Madame Delacroix into their spy network inner circle. She uses her new excess funds to help various friends that are or will be in need.
Simon immediately courts Daphne and secretly finances the Sharma's ship passage. Then he gets roped into helping Lady Danbury and her various "charity cases" (she swats him for that).
Lady Danbury does her best for her various family members. Improving her relationship with her brother, arraigning outings with Gareth and the younger Bridgerton siblings. While keeping an eye on her nephews James and Marcus. She also takes every chance to invite Posy but not Araminta or Rosamund over to her house. As do the Bridgertons and eventually the Featheringtons. She also takes an interest in a young Lucy Abernathy.
Eloise does her best to support all of her siblings and their soon to be spouses. Meanwhile she's helping Penelope with her spy network Whistledown. She's also subtly trying to get Cressida to be nicer and convince her to set her hat on Lord Debling when he returns. She also talks about her new penpal Mr. Crane and his love of plants.
Philip Crane makes it look like George and Marina got secretly married before he left for war. That way her children are legitimate, and they don't have to marry. He and Eloise start up a correspondence again.
Francesca Bridgerton worries about choosing between John and Michaela but they both reassure her that they love her and are fine with whatever she chooses. They all spend as much time together as they can knowing John's time is short.
Gregory and Hyacinth are frustrated by being children again but decide to use it to their advantage and get even more info for Whistledown. After, of course, making sure that they have regular outings with Gareth and Lucy. They might have to wait to be married but they are going to be around their loves as much is proper until they are all of age.
Lady Bridgerton is delighted all of her children are in love and working to better the lives of their friends. She works with Daphne on subtly bettering things in the Ton. And is open to meeting with Lord Anderson when he is in town. But she makes sure all of her children are being "proper" before marriage to avoid any scandals. She decides to make Portia an actual friend and help her with her husband wrangling. (she often assigns her sons or her sons in laws to keep an eye on him at various locations). Mary joins them when she comes to town. They all get tipsy at Agatha's on occasion to let off steam.
I'm sure they're all getting up too much more mischief, but I can't think of anything else to add. Or who else they are forcefully adopting helping.
If somehow Queen Charlotte traveled as well, she's getting her sons to marry their wives sooner and letting her children know she loves them. She is spending more time with her granddaughter. She hopes that things will be different but knows her death cannot be changed. She also engages Penelope in a long-distance chess match, with Agatha having go between to inform the other of their next moves. When he's having a good day she's having family meals with George and their family. She still picks her Diamonds but its not as fun when she knows the Bridgertons have the whole Ton rigged now. However, they do know how to get things done and she can appreciate that.

What Happens When Kundalini Tells You You’re Progressing
I’ve experienced strange phenomena in past weeks. Before now, I didn’t understand what they were. In a past post, I described them as “murmurations”. Now I know they represent divine energy that is part of me. They are manifestations indicating an impending spiritual liberation. A liberation born of the “Serpent”.
The “Serpent” is also known as “Kundalini energy”. “Kundalini” is an ancient word describing the body’s energy system. This energy system facilitates the physical body’s ongoing presence. Sensations I experienced recently, tell me I’ve unlocked a higher level of spiritual capability. So says research I undertook in hopes of understanding what was happening.
Triggering Kundalini experiences takes time and dedication according to my research. It usually happens through meditation or yoga under a Guru’s tutelage. My experience differs in that I’ve triggered my Kundalini energy practicing solo. I don’t care much about what that says about me.
What I do know is, my experience isn’t unique. And yet, it is special. Both the experiences themselves and my research confirm my Positively Focused approach works. I currently use no other approach.
So what happens when Kundalini tells me I’m progressing? I get excited, that’s what happens! Here’s more about this phenomenal experience.
More about Kundalini
Sources say Kundalini represents an energy pool of Divine Feminine Energy. That resonates because I perceive myself as mostly energetically feminine. This energy sits at the base of the spine. The energy usually lies dormant. Under the right conditions, however, it activates. When it does, it acts as a catalyst. It transforms the body’s nervous system. The energy “rewires” the body, preparing it for something special. That something special is an ascension into higher vibrational states.
Everyone’s Kundalini experience is unique. This post says it offers a complete list of symptoms. But if symptoms are individually unique, no list could really be complete, could it? I don’t think so.
As the energy moves up the spine, the body must react to the increased flow. Thus the symptoms. Meanwhile, people experiencing these symptoms become acquainted with their subtle body. The subtle body is the pure energy counterpart of our physical or “gross” body. People actually become aware of three different aspects of what they are. Their “gross” or physical body. Their more subtle, energy form. And, finally, their formless self.
This formless self is the “I AM” nature of what we all are. Awareness of the three aspects supports spiritual expansion. Expansion leading to supreme detachment from camouflage phenomena, which then allows a person greater leverage and power in their lives.
Here’s a great, basic description of what Kundalini is:
youtube
My experience
Symptoms I’ve had are included in that “complete” list above. However, I must add something important. During my entire spiritual journey, I have never experienced any significant negative or painful effects. Even during the many ayahuasca experiences I enjoyed, never once did I experience physical pain, nausea or vomiting. The point is, it’s not necessarily so that everyone experiences painful or negative effects of spiritual awakening.
The most prevalent symptoms I enjoy in my experience, include the following:
Crushing of the skull: A feeling of intense painless pressure buildup. It feels like my skull is collapsing from the outside in.
Body undulations: beautiful, blissful, involuntary fluidic flowing of my body, centered along my spine.
Body expansion: a feeling that my physical body becomes larger than it physically is.
Levitation sensations: a feeling that my body is preparing to rise off the bed.
Out of body preparation: sensing my subtle body preparing to separate from my gross body.
There are other experiences that happen too, including projections of my consciousness. These projections so far typically involve “landing” in random-seeming locations. Like this:

^^A projection of consciousness that happened on Apr. 9, the day I edited this story.
All of these experiences I document in my spiritual journal. Recording such experiences is an important part of my journey. That way I can compare my experience with my clients’ as they progress too.
All these experiences tell me I’m progressing. My research now also confirms this. So does my many, many dream experiences. Clarity and vividness of my dreams is now off the charts. So is the duration of dream experiences I enjoy.
I know these all must have practical, everyday value. Already, I experience delightful epiphanies and manifestations. That value is beginning to show itself more and more through manifestations I experience.
The journey: More important that getting there
But I know the most important thing is the journey. Enjoying the journey and signposts along that journey. That’s what I consider these Kundalini experiences. They are signposts, not the destination. I’m not trying to get anywhere. After all, I’m eternal. There’s no “there” to get to. So instead, I’m learning more and more to soothe my impatience.
That’s because when I consider these remarkable experiences, I get excited about future ones. Seriously, if I can experience Kundalini phenomena, other seemingly “supernatural” experiences must be out there. Out there readying themselves. Readying themselves to reveal themselves to me.
I get eager thinking about those. Sometimes, that eagerness turns to impatience. I mean really, wouldn’t you get impatient to do things like levitate, astral travel and teleport? I would. And I do.
But it’s better that I stay focused on progress I’ve made. And feel blessed where I am. Rather than getting impatient about where I’m going. That way, I remain joyful of the journey, rather than feeling impatient. Impatience, after all, introduces resistance. And resistance slows everything down.
Unlocking my Kundalini energy is a pretty cool signpost. I’m looking forward to more signposts along my journey that is my spiritual progress.

aside from my rice here’s a doodle dump of my timeskip johto kiddos all scribbled during classes! forgot to upload this some time ago but it's a mix of silly doodles, profile studies and outfit ideations 📝
#kagoodles#pokemon gsc#pokemon hgss#rival silver#trainer kris#trainer ethan#trainer lyra#tag wall incoming guys waHA#practicing with profiles is fun but keeping consistency at various angles? hoogh#alright time for more rambling abt these guys (specifically lyra and ethan) for a bit :D#I wanted lyra's champion dress to have a bit more inspo from filipiniana dresses but also retain parts from her sygna suit in pmex!#celebi inspired to honor her role as ilex's shrine protector when her grandparents pass that torch to her#not sure of a specific battle gimmick but it would involve hp recovery and defense/sp def buffing with a mix of lessening critical hits#and then she hits ya with the steel chair equivalent azumarill backed with huge power + belly drum!!!!!!!!! sweep em girl!!!!!!!!!!#silver and lyra would be the last guys you'd face for double battles at the battle tower but Watch Out#what else what else uhhh ETHAN#ethan's revolves around the pokeathlon so he's a bit more showy in competition compared to when he does photography work#he can jump between being a popular pokeathlete to intensely focused on taking wildlife pictures with like. several 'mons surrounding him#very dedicated to his research and study; his friends would find him in crazy phototaking positions just to take a pic of a heracross#i think it'd be funny that ethan and kris are rivals at the pokeathlon they would have some beef (they'd tally wins against each other)#I haven’t forgotten abt everyone else tho I have so much on the mind I wanna draw#maybe I’ll finish some of these doodles for when I feel like working on my neocities but website building is a whole beast in and of itself#but I’ll persevere if the results come out decent >:]

sorry to rant in your inbox but i am. genuinely seeing red right now, and idk where else to go. i was recently talking to a friend who had csem made of them and i'm genuinely so mad; apparently, their country recently changed the laws so that fictional stuff is also counted as illegal activity and handled by the same, already underfunded department. their case was already mishandled because of limited staff and resources. they did not receive justice for the longest fucking time *when the law was set in their favor*. now other children in the position they were in are going to wait even LONGER to get help, if they ever do, because the people meant to help them are now having to waste time and resources on fucking anime drawings. and tons of people will praise this bullshit because "that stuff is gross and immoral and shouldn't be allowed". as though the effect of this policy doesn't fucking matter. real life children are more important than your stupid fucking blorbo. this isn't just normal 'censorship is stupid' rage, people are going to be HARMED by this policy. i've lost all patience for the fandom wank. idiots on the internet are one thing, but legal channels that are meant to help people being hurt are fucking inexcusable to clog. and now some sections of MY country are starting to pull this shit. i don't even know what to do, it's not something where "call your local representative" will fix anything.
I can't even word the absolute anger this stirred up in me.

Let's ignore that completely cryptic and very uneasy comment from Arnold that is 1000% foreshadowing for the future for a moment and let's focus on this gorgeous pic of them laying down next to each other and Arnold holding Rishe's hand and gazing at her with so much longing I can't 😭😭😭💕💕💕

Revisited RER recently, and I genuinely love Chris' and Rebecca's relationship so much... Gonna ramble about them for a bit here.
Despite also being totally out of his depths here, Chris is incredibly tactile and comforting with her. He has always cared for those around him, but I can't help but think that he does his best to be calm and reassuring around Becca because she's the youngest and the least experienced of them all. And yet she's stuck in this nightmare, too. The way he puts a hand on her shoulder and encourages her attempts at healing Richard with a simple but meaningful: 'Richard needs you now.'
Tumblr media
Those words are merely an acknowledgement of her skills, no iron pressure behind them. I like to think that he expresses his belief in her here, hopefully to help her feel less scared and anxious. It's the least he can do, really. And sometimes all you need is someone to just show that they believe in you so you can keep going with no shaky hands. It also reflects on his trust in reliance on her in future installments, too. I think it's kinda sweet how Chris believed in her and encouraged her from the moment she was this fresh recruit, stuck in an unforseen situation. No wonder they are so close and soft with each other in Vendetta.
Him immediately blaming himself for Richard's death, obviously having no idea how to process it quite yet, and then Rebecca being just as lost on how to answer, because what can you even say in this situation? It really rings home how they are both so out of their element here. They are not seasoned operatives we are used to seeing, they are just two people who are forced to deal with something they've never encountered before and try to process all the loss they are hopeless to stop.
I think it's incredibly telling that Rebecca's initial response is to focus on what she should do next, whereas Chris's is to blame himself. Both are obviously shaken by Richard's death: Chris because he couldn't do anything stop it, and Rebecca because all her efforts on healing him were in vain. But they express it differently in the moment. It's also painful how Chris can't even look at her, until he switches into 'It's my fault' line of thinking. Poor guy has been shouldering this kinds of losses since day 1. I do think it also falls in line with how they respond to loss in future installments, too. Very neat to think about.
And then Rebecca just breaking down in tears after that short attempt at laughing it off, and Chris just putting a hesitant gentle hand on her shoulder as he lets her cry it out with no words being said. While it made super sad, it's also a nice contrast to them not looking at each other in previous instance vs standing face to face this time around.
Tumblr media
Funnily enough, I don't think he's being aloof or insensitive here, as I've seen some say—quite the contrary. As I said above, what could you even possibly say in this kind of circumstance that wouldn't be, at most, a flat-out lie? But what he can do is just be there for her. Which is what he does. And that: 'be strong, Rebecca' is simple but genuine nonetheless. They must remain strong, at least until they are safe and out of there. Still, he doesn't try to stop her from crying, he only says this once she quiets down. It's really touching of him, honestly. He lets her express her distress and then encourages her when she's done.
And this lil' pat on her shoulders and 'Just stay with me, kid' is so cute! Not to mention the thumbs up afterwards :3
Tumblr media
It's a sort of small but comforting gesture that probably goes a long way to someone in Rebecca's position. I can't help but think if that's Chris' big brother instincts at work, which is ever cuter to think about. He's a great superior to be around.
Also, it's kinda neat how the way he touches her shoulder changes throughout the game. First soft, gentle touches, and then more assured and encouraging pats by the end there. Both are good, but I still love that tiny detail.
As a bonus, the fact that Chris is the only one awake between the three of them during the helicopter ride also strikes me as kind of interesting. Both Jill and Rebecca are resting and allowing themselves to doze off, but he just stays staring off in silence, obviously having a lot on his mind. Whether he stays up to watch over the two or because he can't bring himself to relax, it's sort of a cool detail.
