Ok so this art work inspired a plotbunny!:

What if after Wu Ming was dispersed parts of his scattered soul did start clinging to the little red flowers Xie Lian was drawn to talk to? He'd be drawn to those flowers cause Wu Ming was there, and he could sense it somehow without realizing. Every time he'd talk to a flower the part of Wu Ming's soul that was there would attach itself to him, so eventually Xie Lian finds a familiar little ghost fire has started following him around again!

There two different direction suggestions for this one:

1: Wu Ming's entire soul is connected to the flowers, and Xie Lian goes on a long scavenger hunt to collect them all, and restore Wu Ming.

2: In a more canon route most of Wu Ming's soul goes to Tonglu, where he ascends, and then becomes a supreme, but the parts of his soul that are with Xie Lian stay there creating a connection between them! This can either lead to a reunion much sooner, or it can still take the whole 800 years, where when they meet at Yu Jun Mountain the missing part of Wu Ming, now Hua Cheng's soul returns to him immediately giving him away!

A murder mystery film set in a medieval village. After an outbreak of plague, the villagers make the decision to shut their borders so as to protect the disease from spreading (see the real life case of the village of Eyam). As the disease decimates the population, however, some bodies start showing up that very obviously were not killed by plague.

Since nobody has been in or out since the outbreak began, the killer has to be somebody in the local community.

The village constable (who is essentially just Some Guy, because being a medieval constable was a bit like getting jury duty, if jury duty gave you the power to arrest people) struggles to investigate the crime without exposing himself to the disease, and to maintain order as the plague-stricken villagers begin to turn on each other.

The killer strikes repeatedly, seemingly taking advantage of the empty streets and forced isolation to strike without witnesses. As with any other murder mystery, the audience is given exactly the same information to solve the crime as the detective.

Except, that is, whenever another character is killed, at which point we cut to the present day where said character's remains are being carefully examined by a team of modern archaeologists and historians who are also trying to figure out why so many of the people in this plague-pit died from blunt force trauma.

The archaeologists and historians, btw, are real experts who haven't been allowed to read the script. The filmmakers just give them a model of the victim's remains, along with some artefacts, and they have to treat it like a real case and give their real opinion on how they think this person died.

We then cut back to the past, where the constable is trying to do the same thing. Unlike the archaeologists, he doesn't have the advantage of modern tech and medical knowledge to examine the body, but he does have a more complete crime scene (since certain clues obviously wouldn't survive to be dug up in the modern day) and personal knowledge from having probably known the victim.

The audience then gets a more complete picture than either group, and an insight into both the strengths and limits of modern archaeology, explaining what we can and can't learn from studying a person's remains.

At the end of the film, after the killer is revealed and the main plot is resolved, we then get to see the archaeologists get shown the actual scenes where their 'victims' were killed, so they can see how well their conclusions match up with what 'really' happened.

Another older AU idea:

AU where Xie Lian isn't banished after his second ascension, but spends most of his time wandering the mortal realm hoping to find Wu Ming while slowly becoming a god of the dead.

He is in fact away when Hua Cheng ascends and leaves, but he just happens to arrive as Hua Cheng finishes annihilating the 33 gods. At this time Xie Lian is still pretty much considered a laughing stock. Mu Qing, and Feng Xin both keep their distance out of guilt,(Jun Wu had a lovely talk with them.) but everyone thinks they also really look down on Xie Lian. So when Xie Lian challenges Hua Cheng himself and Hua Cheng accepts, the gods think they are about to be entertained by seeing XIe Lian get humiliated again.

However two things happen very quickly:

1. They figure out Hua Cheng was just playing with everyone before.

2. Everyone gets a reminder that Xie Lian is a damn martial god.

The fight goes on for 3 days. The heavens shake, buildings fall. Even Jun Wu can't get them to stop. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng look like they are having the time of their lives. As the third day is ending they finally stop, no one watching is quite sure exactly how victory between the two was decided, but Hua Cheng reverently takes a crystal ring on a chain and places it over Xie Lian's head, kneels pledging his eternal loyalty and devotion, and then collapses from exhaustion. When other martial gods start to approach Xie Lian raises his sword at them, and says in a clear, surprisingly cold voice "No one touch him. He is mine." Seeing he's made his point he sheathes his sword, and picks Hua Cheng up taking him to his palace, where promptly puts up a barrier keeping everyone else out. He suspected while they had been fighting that Hua Cheng was Wu Ming, and Hua Cheng's actions afterward confirmed it for him. He is absolutely not going to let his Wu Ming be taken from him again.

My brain does not work well with most social media, especially video like TikTok. But do you know what I would watch religiously?

Jamie Tartt's "Roy Kent Swears at Things" channel.

Pundit shows. Traffic. Match footage. Books. Bake-Off. Other people. Recipes that do not turn out like Nigella said they would. Grocery prices, because Roy grew up poor, and despite the fact that he has no problem dropping a wad of cash or a gold watch to catch a ride, it mortally offends him that his favorite snack no longer costs 50p.

Surreptitious shots are easy because of Jamie's complete inability to sit like a normal person — Roy never notices the camera's pointed at him. Plus, when Roy really gets going, Jamie can film him flat-out like a fan on the street, he's so distracted.

But the best ones are just Jamie, camera pointed at his own face, stifling laughter (you know, a la 03x02, Trent's locker room intro), while the dulcet tones of Roy hollering things like "WHAT THE FUCK D'YOU THINK YOU'RE FUCKING DOING, YOU FUCKFACE FUCKING CUNT" come from the background.

When they do get together, they keep their relationship a secret and James keeps up the pretense of constantly badgering Lily for a chance, figuring she’d never give in. Only to be caught like a deer in headlights when she finally agrees to a date. Things spiral from there. James openly dating Lily and Secretly dating Regulus. Theres an initial blow up and silent treatment from Regulus when he finds out his boyfriend is going on a date with Lily Evans. Eventually Reggie deems dating Lily in the light a suitable cover for their own relationship. Things get worse when Reggie is pressure into taking the dark mark and James runs out of excuses for not proposing to Lily. Now James has a wife and a son on the way but his lover is dead and there was no other way.

Unfortunately, beyond just generating an AI version of him, they also (unnecessarily and questionably, IMO) made it read a script, explaining his values and forgiving his killer.

Apparently, the kids in the extended family were glad to see their beloved uncle “one last time".

Idea: John Watson, haunted by Sherlock's suicide & wanting to understand it, asked Mycroft to have created a detailed AI reconstruction of Sherlock to ask why & even just see him one last time. Maybe John tries to use it to prove his innocence.

John then can’t bear to deactivate it, because it would feel like killing Sherlock again. He ultimately leaves it at Baker Street.

The AI is actually intelligent. How similar it actually is to Sherlock, I leave to you to decide. 😉

Imagine Sherlock gets home, only to come face to face with his double. How does he react? What does the double do? What happens next?

To get Shen Jiu to stop fighting off the qi deviation the system allows him to see how PIDW goes and gives him a choice, either go back and live that life or die and transmigrate into another world. A world where he'll be born with the highest potential as a cultivator and the highest pedigree. Shen Jiu chooses to leave. And he transmigrates into a noble child with great cultivation potential. Except it's Wen Ruohan's secret child and it's the end of the Sun Shot Campaign. Because Jiang Cheng is a tofu hearted person, Shen Jiu ends up at Lotus Pier where he becomes Jiang Cheng's most standoffish disciple because Shen Jiu knows young masters, Jiang Cheng might not be an absolute monster like Young Master Qiu but deep down they're all the same. So he waits for Jiang Cheng to show his hand, to drop his act. Except Jiang Cheng doesn't, he yells, he commands, he's arrogant as fuck but even when Shen Jiu riles him up, even when Shen Jiu drops hot soup over him ruining his second-best set of robes. Jiang Cheng screams at him but he doesn't hit him. Even after his political-nightmare of an unstable SIC runs off, he still supports him behind the scenes. Shen Jiu is a bit obsessed with this guy.After Shen Jiu bullies a younger disciple and Jiang Cheng picks him up slams him against the wall and tells him, that he's going to have to find another sect, if he thinks this kind of behaviour will be tolerated. Shen Jiu decides that if Wei Wuxian doesn't want to be SIC, it's high time the position went to someone qualified. Shen Jiu, youngest shidi of Yunmeng Jiang (and former SIC of Cang Qiong) is the man for the job.

I just have this mental image of post-S3 Roy reluctantly calling the Diamond Dogs and gritting out something super informative like "My boyfriend... wants... something."

And Beard and Will know everything because... Beard is omniscient and Will is a boot room stalker, so they nod, and Nate has, like, a lightbulb moment and gets it immediately, and Trent – have you seen that post about how Trent is Jane Goodall and Jamie is the ape he's studying? – is just thinking oh finally and getting out his mental notepad. (I refuse to believe he wasn't invited back for another book, sorry.)

But Higgins is a moment behind. And he gags, like he does. And he asks, "You have a boyfriend?" And he lowers his voice, and he asks, "Have you... told Jamie?"

And Roy continues to stare at the wall or whatever, but everyone else turns to look at Higgins. And there's a beat. And then Higgins goes, "Ohhhhhhh," like he does.
