Happy pride month!! 🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
This pride month, I kindly request that you help me (a disabled queer trans guy) get closer to my goal of $6,000 for top surgery. (Yes it has decreased from 10,000 to 6,000. More Info under the cut). Currently the GoFundMe has raised $340/$6,000 of what I need. While I am saving my own money and pouring whatever I can spare into my savings, there's no way I can reasonably save enough on my own to reach my goal of getting top surgery before the end of next year.
If you can, even just a few dollars is extremely helpful, and you can donate here: https://gofund.me/60a8148b
Some more nuanced information is below the cut.
My insurance (my state's Medicaid) is required to offer gender affirming surgery and cannot discriminate against myself or anyone else for being trans. Unfortunately the system in which it takes to get approved for coverage is extremely difficult. I wouldn't be able to even qualify until after my birthday next year (you have to be 21 to qualify). And the other steps can be just as tiresome. There's a lot that goes into it, and it's a lot that would be unreasonable for me to get done even if I started now. Not to mention the fact that after reaching out to several doctors in network, only one responded to me (and my phone call with him was anything but kind).
Out of pocket with a plastic surgeon is my best bet, and the safer one too. Currently the ONLY thing preventing me from getting top surgery is my finances, hence the GoFundMe. I found and consulted with a surgeon in my area who is willing to perform the surgery, and a therapist willing to provide a letter stating that basically I'm of sound mind and body to be making this decision.
Truthfully I've needed top surgery since I was 14. Even if I wasn't trans, my breasts cause me significant physical difficulties including mobility and breathing (which, when paired with a physical disability that causes chronic pain makes everything incredibly hard). The dysphoria is a complete other story. I've been binding since 14 too, and considering I'm 20 now, is a pretty long time. Binding for so many years has it's own consequences, especially when you are someone of my size. Needless to say, this is not only medically necessary from a gender affirmation standpoint, but also a quality of life one. It is absolutely a need.
It's also necessary because of my mental health. I made a post a short while ago that admitted to me being... not the best mentally. It wasn't a break down of sorts, but it was an honest reaction to my situation that I needed to get out of my system. The biggest contribution to this not-quite-breakdown is the fact that I can't afford top surgery. That's a hard concept for some people to grasp, that lack of access to this surgery could make me incredibly depressed. So many people still see it as elective or cosmetic. It's a hard feeling to explain, but it is the truth. It's not meant to be a guilt trip or to make you feel pity. It's my reality, and frankly the reality of many other trans people in similar situations.
The estimated cost for the surgery and all its required components is $10,000 (of which my joyfriend has so graciously offered to cover $4,000 of that). That leaves me with needing to cover 6,000 on my own*.
Being physically disabled makes working long hours hard. I get wiped out after a few hours at my normal job, and my summer job at a camp this year is sure to leave me with more exhaustion than normal as my days are significantly longer. (It's sad to say but I am working here mainly for the money, and the super awesome and supportive community I've found is a really awesome bonus. While I anticipate getting more saving money because of the pay increase at this summer position, it's not going to be enough to cover top surgery by itself, and come the end of this position and summer, I'll be back at my original place of work with only a one dollar increase in promotion pay. ($12/hr). I'll likely be making even less money than I normally do because I'm starting school again.
I'm just now realizing how busy my life is going to be after typing all this out...
There are some questions I've had people ask me, but most of them have been answered in other posts of mine that are pretty easy to search up on your own through my blog. That said, if you have any questions about anything regarding this, please ask through the ask box or DM me. I don't mind answering good faith questions, and will happily repeat myself to make it easier for info to find.
*With the help of the GoFundMe.

I hate how someone will make a point about disliking predatory cosmetic/plastic surgeons, and every person with critical thinking knows that means those assholes shaming & pressuring people (mostly women lbr) into lipo, fillers, facelifts, necklifts, tummy tucks, implants, nose jobs, bone shaving, buccal fat removal, cellulite removal, whatever fake body ideal is trending, but hundreds of brainwashed stooges will run up like "WHAT ABOUT [story about actual reconstructive surgery or surgery we can see is absolutely medically necessary but insurance companies don't]?!?" while another hundred stooges trip over themselves to shout "BODILY AUTONOMY! REMEMBER THAT? THAT MEANS PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO DO ANYTHING TO THEIR BODY, SORRY SWEATY!"
Like, firstly, they 100% know the difference between a cosmetic surgeon who fixes deformities, traumas & disabling conditions, and a cosmetic surgeon telling some teen her breasts are too small or an older woman her wrinkles are disgusting or lying to every client about their expected results. They KNOW the difference between helping a fellow human being live easier and making a fellow human being feel like they're hideous garbage to hide. And secondly, they also know the distrust and wanted oversight is for the surgeons and not the people they prey on. They just play dumb bc they have a personal story they somehow feel attacked for or they liked some cosmetic surgeon's reality show or TikTok (light all TikTok plastic surgeons on fire plz) enough to feel they're buddies.
Y'all will agree with criticizing Big Pharma, Patriarchy and Capitalism all day long as buzzwords, but when it comes time to name specifics to burn down, you cry foul. Posers.

My parents had a friend who had to have surgery to the frontal lobe of his brain. They basically had to go in so many times he ended up needing extreme grafting and a prosthesis for his entire nasal sinus area.
It is plastic surgery. Skin grafts are usually done by plastic surgeons. A lot of lifelike prostheses are attached by plastic surgeons.
Could my parents’ friend walked around with a crater where his nose used to be rather than a prosthesis? I guess. Who the fuck are you (dear reader) to decide whether something medical is “necessary” or “frivolous.”
If a trans girl wants a breast augmentation how about we leave that up to her and her doctor? And spare me the hypocritical “As long as she pays for it herself” bullshit. I pay premiums into insurance that also gets used by people who eat like hot garbage, don’t exercise, who smoke, who drink, who practice extreme sports, who practice terrible safety at home and work, who drive like dipshits… people who have medical issues and drive up premiums.
A health care system that is picky choosey on what is covered and what isn’t based on people who fall in some standard deviation of needs is deeply flawed at best and eugenics at worst. People like trans folks or disabled people are outside the line.
We suffer because people inside the bell curve undergo procedures, which are life altering for us, for social reasons and those procedures get vilified rather than the social reasons.
Look. I’m going to be honest with you. Adopting that hard anti-plastic surgery stance while trans people’s lives and right to transition is at stake is absolutely horrendous timing. Knock it off.

Understanding Total Knee Replacement Surgery Cost in Hyderabad
Knee pain caused by conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or injury can greatly impact a person's quality of life. When non-surgical treatments fail to provide relief, total knee replacement surgery becomes a viable option. Hyderabad, known for its advanced healthcare facilities, offers world-class treatment for knee replacement at a comparatively affordable cost. In this article, we will explore various aspects of the total knee replacement surgery cost in Hyderabad and factors influencing the price.
What is Total Knee Replacement Surgery?
Total knee replacement surgery, also known as knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure in which a damaged or diseased knee joint is replaced with an artificial implant. The surgery is recommended for individuals experiencing severe pain and disability due to joint damage, where conservative treatments such as physical therapy or medications have failed to provide relief.
The procedure involves removing the damaged cartilage and bone from the knee joint and replacing them with metal and plastic components to restore function and relieve pain. Patients who undergo total knee replacement surgery often experience significant improvements in mobility, reduction in pain, and enhanced quality of life.
Factors Influencing Total Knee Replacement Surgery Cost in Hyderabad
Several factors determine the cost of total knee replacement surgery in Hyderabad. These include:
Type of Hospital: The cost of surgery may vary depending on whether the procedure is performed at a private or government hospital. Private hospitals often offer a wider range of services, including luxurious accommodation and advanced medical technology, which can influence the overall cost.
Surgeon’s Expertise: Experienced and renowned orthopedic surgeons may charge higher fees for their expertise and successful track record. It is important to choose a surgeon with the right credentials and experience in performing knee replacement surgeries.
Type of Implant: Different types of implants (prostheses) are available for knee replacement surgery. These include metal-on-plastic, ceramic-on-plastic, and metal-on-metal implants. The choice of implant can significantly impact the overall cost of the surgery. High-end, durable implants may be more expensive, but they tend to offer better longevity.
Hospital Facilities: The overall infrastructure and amenities of the hospital also play a role in determining the cost. Hospitals equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, modern operating rooms, and personalized patient care services may charge a premium for their services.
Pre- and Post-Surgery Care: The total knee replacement surgery cost may include pre-operative diagnostics (X-rays, blood tests, MRIs), anesthesia, and post-operative care such as physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. Comprehensive rehabilitation is crucial to achieving optimal outcomes and can add to the total cost.
Average Cost of Total Knee Replacement Surgery in Hyderabad
In Hyderabad, the cost of total knee replacement surgery can range between INR 1.5 lakhs to INR 3.5 lakhs. This estimate includes hospital stay, surgical fees, anesthesia charges, and post-surgery care. While the price may seem steep, it is significantly more affordable compared to similar procedures in countries like the United States or Europe, making Hyderabad a hub for medical tourism.
For patients with health insurance, a significant portion of the cost may be covered depending on the policy. It is recommended to check with your insurance provider regarding coverage options for knee replacement surgery.
Affordable Knee Replacement Surgery in Hyderabad
Hyderabad is home to numerous hospitals offering advanced orthopedic care at affordable rates. Some of the top hospitals for total knee replacement surgery include Apollo Hospitals, Yashoda Hospitals, and Continental Hospitals, among others. These facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and many offer packages that include consultations, surgery, and post-operative care, making it easier for patients to manage their healthcare expenses.
Patients can also explore government hospitals such as Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), which provide affordable knee replacement surgeries performed by experienced orthopedic surgeons at a lower cost than private hospitals.
Benefits of Total Knee Replacement Surgery
Pain Relief: One of the primary benefits of knee replacement surgery is significant pain relief. Patients suffering from chronic knee pain can expect to regain mobility and resume daily activities without discomfort.
Improved Mobility: After recovery, patients often experience increased range of motion and better joint function. This allows them to lead an active lifestyle, free from the limitations caused by knee pain.
Long-Lasting Results: Modern knee implants are designed to last for several decades, providing patients with a long-term solution to knee problems. The durability of the implants ensures sustained relief and improved quality of life.
Higher Success Rate: Knee replacement surgeries, especially when performed by experienced surgeons, have a high success rate. Patients can expect significant improvements in their knee function and overall well-being after surgery.
Conclusion
Total knee replacement surgery in Hyderabad provides a highly effective solution for individuals suffering from severe knee pain and joint damage. With a wide range of options available at varying costs, patients can choose the hospital and surgeon that best meet their needs. Whether opting for a private hospital with state-of-the-art facilities or a government hospital with affordable services, patients can access world-class knee replacement treatment in Hyderabad. The investment in total knee replacement surgery is well worth it, as it offers a significant improvement in quality of life and long-term pain relief.

Compelling Reasons to Get A Rhinoplasty Surgery!
Have you ever felt bad about the shape of your nose? If yes, then it is the right time to consider rhinoplasty. It is plastic surgery that assists you in changing the appearance of your nose in several ways.
People conscious about their noise's size and shape often undergo this surgery. It renders them a great chance to get the right shaped and contoured nose. If you are still wondering about the reasons to get this plastic surgery, you can read the below section carefully.
What does rhinoplasty mean?
Rhinoplasty is commonly called the nose job. It is a plastic surgery performed to change the nose shape by changing the cartilage and bone. It is one of the commonly preferred plastic surgery. People get this surgery to repair their noses after an injury or to correct their congenital disability and breathing issue.
Sometimes, people undergo this plastic surgery to change their nose appearance to feel confident. The surgeon changes nose size and angle, narrowing nostrils and straightening the bridge through rhinoplasty.
Good reasons to get rhinoplasty surgery
Below mentioned are the major reasons to consider rhinoplasty surgery!
This plastic surgery undoubtedly helps improve the appearance of the noise. It eventually enhances your confidence.
Unshaped noise often ends up with difficulty in breathing. This surgery will help correct this issue and make breathing through noise much easier.
When you are unhappy with your nose appearance or have a broken nose, it will correct the issues and change the nose shape dramatically.
Those who want to look more attractive get this surgery because the nose is the prominent feature on the face. A well-shaped noise will make a huge difference to the overall appearance.
What to expect
When you decide to get rhinoplasty, you can expect the following things. It will make your surgery trouble-free and get the expected result.
First, meet the experienced surgeon to discuss whether you are an ideal candidate for this surgery. Discuss the reasons for taking this surgery and the result you expect for.
The surgeon will examine your medical history and ask certain questions about your medication conditions and current medications.
Then, the surgeon performs a physical examination to look at the skin closely on the outside and inside of your nose. It helps them determine the type of changes to be made.
The surgeon may ask you to take tests such as blood tests to know your condition. If necessary, they recommend additional surgery to perform at the same time. For example, some people get rhinoplasty and chin augmentation simultaneously to get a better-defined chin and nose.
During the consultation, the doctor photographs your nose from different angles and showcases it after surgery to understand the difference.
Later, the surgeon discusses the surgery cost and insurance coverage. The surgery usually performs in the hospital or doctor's office. The surgeon uses general or local anesthesia.
This simple procedure takes a few hours to complete. After surgery, you should follow the doctor's instructions carefully. For example, avoid taking painkillers containing aspirin for two weeks before and after surgery.

How Much Does Face Liposuction Cost in 2022?
In today’s world, cosmetic operations are well-liked, and many individuals opt to go this route.
Now, do you have any regions of stubborn fat in your body that refuse to move and vanish no matter how strenuously you attempt to get rid of them via exercise?
You do not have anything to be concerned about, and you are not the only one experiencing this issue.
A significant number of individuals are now experiencing this predicament. There may be stubborn places of fat that a person can’t get rid of, regardless of how much they exercise or how well-balanced their diet is.
If you’re familiar with this scenario, you should think about liposuction if you want to change your body, especially your face.
You could be taken aback by how much face Liposuction costs in 2022; with that in mind, continue reading to get all the information you need.
The first step for a person who has become knowledgeable about liposuction surgery and has decided to undergo the procedure in response to the circumstances of his face is to inquire about the cost of facial liposuction surgery.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has projected about the face Liposuction cost 2022 that the average cost of liposuction will be $6,550 in the year 2022. These projections are based on facts that were submitted by society.
However, this cost might range from as little as $2,025 for tiny regions to as much as $11,600 for vast areas.
You must comprehend that this is merely an estimate of the typical cost and that many variables can influence the total amount you will be charged.
We have learned up to this point in the essay how much face liposuction surgery costs in 2022; nevertheless, the issue is whether or not my insurance will cover the liposuction procedure
cost.
We have two types of liposuctions surgery:
Cosmetic surgery refers to the procedures performed to reshape natural structures to enhance a patient’s look and self-esteem.
Surgical procedures performed on abnormal body structures resulting from congenital disabilities, developmental abnormalities, trauma, disease, infection, or tumors are referred to as reconstructive surgery procedures.
The most important thing to determining face liposuction surgery is the distinction between the definitions.
Cosmetic operations are not covered by insurance (well, most aren’t covered… occasionally, a stomach tuck, breast lift, breast reduction, or breast augmentation may be covered).
Reconstructive surgery may be possible. In the case of liposuction treatments, there is never a functional justification for executing the surgery, nor is there ever a medically advised one to do so.
Because liposuction surgery is primarily used for cosmetic purposes, insurance will not contribute to or cover the costs of the procedure.

tl;dr I'm bedridden and need back surgery. I'll need at least US$6,000, but there's a good chance I'll need more — it depends on how much disability backpay I get and when I get it.
Longform explanation below. This link has an image from my MRI.
Please help me out by donating and/or reblogging. Thank you!

Longform explanation: I've been bedridden for most of the last six years (I'm 25), and I'm stuck living with my parents because of it. I can only sit up long enough to eat.
I have a herniated disc at L4-5 and have tried cortisone injections, radiofrequency ablations, epidurals, muscle relaxants (three different kinds), physical therapy (three full rounds of 10+ weeks each), different pain medications, anti-inflammatories, supportive seat cushions, massage therapy, and chiropractic care.
I'm likely forgetting some treatments I've tried.
Anyway, only two things have helped my lower back pain besides laying down: radiofrequency ablation (burning the nerve endings off), which only worked for five months, and a heavy-duty pain killer that only dulls the pain. It doesn't make the pain go away, and if I try to do much of anything even while taking the pain meds, I end up considerably worse later that day and for the next week or so.
I can do almost nothing for myself -- I can shower sometimes, and I can toilet myself with accessibility tools. I can dress myself and microwave food. I can use my phone. I can play video games in relative moderation (only a few hours a day except on Saturdays) as long as I'm mostly laying down and completely lay down the rest of the time. That's about the extent of independent things I can do.
Going to my medical appointments is quite a struggle because I can't drive and have to rely on my grandparents or pay for a rideshare, and because of the pain.
I've talked to several surgeons, and they've agreed that a spinal fusion is unlikely to help me. Those that were familiar with lumbar disc replacements said I was a perfect candidate.
Quick rundown on lumbar disc replacements: it's the same concept as a hip replacement, except it's between two vertebrae in the spine. They take out the bad disc and replace it with metal and plastic to separate the bones, support the body, and maintain flexibility.
It's better than spinal fusion (where they fuse two or more vertebrae together), scientifically, for folks my age. There's only one problem: there are only two implants fda approved, and they both contain nickel, which I'm supremely allergic to (like, end the allergy test early allergic).
The back surgeons familiar with lumbar disc replacements recommended going to Spain or Germany for the surgery, because they both have approved implants with no nickel in them. I did the full pricing on Germany first, and including the surgery, recovery, accommodations, food, and care when I can't do it myself, the total came out to US$20,000-24,000.
I haven't heard back from any of the surgeons in Spain, and I'm not sure I will. According to my research, the cost of everything minus the surgery and hospital stay and all that in Spain should be less than in Germany, but... That's the best I've got.
Depending on how much I get for my disability backpay and how long it takes to get Pit, I may need anywhere from US$6,000-24,000. That's why my goal is US$6,000.
I'll also need a lot of rehab bc I've been unable to move much for so long, though I'll probably be getting that back here in the US. However, I get kicked off my mom's insurance in November, so I'm trying to get it done before then.
Okay, I think that covers everything. Thank you for your time.

First post who dis
So this is where I’ll scream into the void about health issues. I have plenty.
Currently diagnosed with CPTSD, BPD, PCOS, endometriosis, hypothyroidism, NAFLD, gastritis, GERD, several vitamin deficiencies, and a temporary diagnosis of both orthostatic hypotension and some kind of autoimmune issue. The current theory is I have either dysautonomia and/or hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome. I’ve been waiting to see a specialist for the eds idea for over a year now because there’s a single doctor in my region who specializes in it.
I’m also quite queer (genderfluid trans, they/he) and luckily on HRT (testosterone). I finally got a consultation with the single plastic surgeon in my region who does top surgery, but by they time our meeting comes around I’m not going to have health insurance that would cover it. So I’m trying to find a job with health insurance so that meeting that I’ve been waiting over a year for doesn’t end up being cancelled. Of course, I cannot personally fund this surgery because I’m unemployed in my mid-twenties in the US and am also chronically ill and disabled. I’m wanting to apply for disability in my state (at least to shove it to future employers) until I get further diagnoses to figure out why I’m fainting so often and I’m generally always in joint pain. So. That’s been fun.
So far I’ve had to leave 2 jobs (one of which was a dream job) because of my health, one of which (said dream job) I got fired for. Since I wasn’t legally disabled I couldn’t do anything about it. Yay USA.
So if listening to a man man’s ravings about being an afab disabled chronically ill queer in a red, mainly rural state in the US is your thing I’m sure I’ll be dropping occasional updates/vents/screamings. The main reason why I’m moving to tumblr to do this is because I no longer want to overshare and vent to my friends on our personal screaming chats. If you’re one of these friends, you’re free to follow me here btw.
Now I’m off to get my heating pad and an ice pack. Wahoo.

My name is Simone and I would like to tell you a tale!
I will not have access to my laptop for some days more and because writing on my phone is kind of painful (physically, because I am working on hand mobility now), this may end up in drafts and taking a while to post. I am going to share what has been happening the last 2 months because I feel like everything went from 0 to 100 in the span of a few weeks and its been really, really wild.
So!!! LETTUCE begin!
For roughly 5 years I've been struggling to get a diagnosis on an extremely painful area of my arm. There was literally nothing visible; no lump, discoloration or any other physical abnormality to indicate anything was wrong. I spent thousands on pretty much every kind of imaging you can do, and was told time and time again that there was nothing wrong and, perhaps, it was psychosomatic and I needed therapy or, more often than not, I was given a shrug and a vague "i dunno" response.
This year, something changed. I deal with chronic pain (my spine is congenitally fused in my neck and lower spine and I have baby bone spurs all over), and in the process of trying to work on that I brought up my arm again to a dr I no longer see. He'd told me my arm was SEVERAL things over the years I had been seeing him but this time said it was a fibromyalgia knot, something I had been told by a team of doctors some time before that. I said okay cool and was sent to a physical therapy rehab center where the dr worked with myofascial release and stretches to help with injuries. This amazing man fixed my plantar fasciitis and helped get my chronic headaches under control but NOTHING we did helped my arm pain. Within a month he was worried bc we had started to notice that there was a hardness to the spot that never changed with any exercise or massage.
Worried that there was a nerve being trapped or crushed (another diagnosis I'd gotten over the years), this amazing man sent me to a neurosurgeon who immediately frowned and said he didn't think my neck pain and my arm pain were connected. He ordered an MRI of my arm and despite it not being visible on an MRI 2 years before, he found something PHYSICALLY THERE where I said I had pain. He considered doing the surgery to remove it (despite being a neurosurgeon he was fascinated with this weird horribly painful spot) but eventually sent me a surgeon for an oncology center, assuring me it was because this new surgeon was one of the best in Texas for removing soft tissue tumors, not because there was any thought of cancer.
I met with the surgeon who gave me one more diagnosis of an AVM (arteriovenous malformation), snd said they were benign and not necessary to remove as well as the possibility that if removed it would likely return. Truly, at this point after 5 years of constant nauseating horric pain when someone brushed against me or if I gently brushed against ANYRHING, a pain so bad that it had basically made me stop using my right arm as much as possible (of course I'm right handed lol), I said GET THAT FUCKER OUT OF THERE MAN and my first surgery was scheduled.
Surgery one occurred Nov 5th and was an out patient event. I went home and passed out. At some point my mom said that while I'd been in recovery the dr said the thing in my arm hadn't looked like what he expected so he had sent it to pathology. I went back to work and was hanging out until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving when I went in for a super immediate meeting with a different doctor who told me that what had been in my arm was a synovial sarcoma, aka, cancer! He, this incredibly kind man I did not know, gently discussed chemo and told me I needed to have a CT scan immediately. Based on the CT, i was either in stage one or stage four if it has spread to lungs. The day before Thanksgiving I received the news that it was stage one, it had not spread, and i was so fucking happy.
Then it was time talk about next steps. My surgeon marked out a circle on my arm to indicate how much he was gonna remove in order to guarantee clear margins..but it was not enough of a meeting for me to grasp the surgery I was about to receive.
The day of my second surgery, dec 8th, came quickly and i met with the plastic surgeon, the kindest, most patient man. He moved my arm around and explained how he was going to hijack a vein from my forearm in order to keep the blood flow health to the flap he was gonna take from the donor site: My inner thigh.
It has been 11 days and I am living in an inpatient rehab facility, working on dealing with the nerve damage/pain, the EXTREME pain of my donor site, and the lost mobility that I am working on getting back, both in my leg and my hand. The majorities of my arm is numb...except where the nerve pain burns my wrist and forearm and makes it painful to wear my arm sling (I can't fully extend my arm, nor can I lift, push, pull or use my arm in any way that would stress out my new arm flap). Also may have a brand new urinary tract infection but as I write this I'm chugging water for a urine sample to hopefully get that treated. Below are some pictures I have taken/had taken of my arm! Im not ready to look at my leg outside of the bandages (which, since having the wound vac removed today, hell yeah, will need daily dressing changes).
EDIT: I tried posting pictures of my arm last night and my post disappeared immediately so I will try to make a new post with these photos in case the whole post was erased because of them. I will tag them as post surgery photos. I do not consider them gory or excessive but hey that's just me.
I intend to post more things as I keep healing and as I gain more mobility. I was given "independence" in my room yesterday which means I can officially get up without any assistance needed (using my badass new cane to help me lift my foot in and out of bed)!!!! Which also means I can get up whenever I want without the bed alarm going off. I have a badass cane that has been the best tool in helping me get around (and has inspired my mom and others to suggest and look into getting me a cane sword which makes me laugh REAL hard). See below me using the cane to move my foot in and out of bed!
Part of why I'm posting this is because I really needed to talk about it and while later posts may not be this long or expository but I wanted to have a base post to explain other ones related to this one!!!
I will update with some newer pics tomorrow night when my mom comes by to help me take newer pics. The arm flap looks super healthy (according to the drs), and when they changed my leg dressing they said its looking really good and healthy!
I......also really wanted to post my Amazon wishlist. Due to this stupid wild bad lottery ticket, I've been struggling to pay my bills and rent but!!! I have good insurance, thankfully (since I live in the US and my hospital stay and this rehab stay would have more than bankrupted me), and im hoping my disability checks will get here in time for rent!!! I'm putting up my wishlist bc I can't afford some of the "essentials" on there and, also, because I havent been able to have any kind of comfort during any of this. I never ask for anything for holidays because usually i...dont want to burden people with spending money on me since I know how hard money is, especially right now. And if I don't have enough for rent later I might have to create a go fund me...but right now everything looks good for rent and bills just...not for anything fun.
Thank you so much for your time!!! And happy holidays you wild bastards!!!
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/36PG6BAYD18U7?ref_=wl_share
#tw for many things!#cancer mention#surgery mention#i tried to add photos of my arm post surgery and my post disappeared so I will try again in a separate post#everything relating to my cancer or recovery i will label as badass battlestar bc it makes me feel cool#badass battlestar

NOTE: This is a silly thought experiment intended for virtual fun and frolic. If you have the means, self-isolate; if you have even more means, donate to your local COVID relief fund & think abt mutual aid to thy neighbours.
Now enough of the real world.
Firstly, the Robinsons live in a utopia where society is sustainable & environmentally friendly and where we no longer have monocultural industrial farming that causes mass epidemics. Worst case scenario the world would experience minor discomfort as its 👌 healthcare system and humaniatarian economy would mean COVID-19 would pass in two weeks where everyone stayed home, got tested, played animal crossing, and went back to work.
That mumbo jumbo aside, in the universe where everything is on fire, I would still imagine that the wealthy, crafty, and optimistic Robinsons are able to continue their lives in much the same as they did before: they’re eccentric billionaire shut ins with all the resources they need not only for self-sufficiency but to sustain their weird hobbies without ever leaving the property indefinitely. Indoor zoo, gym, pool, gardens, greenhouses, fly vending machines, back up power grid, indoor labs, art studios, sky-high ceilings for canons, propeller hats and indoor snowball fights, indoor studio & live frog performances, indoor train, robots & octopus servants to go to the grocery store, cut your hair, get your mail, etc. On top of that they have the latest and greatest & would have no problems telecommunicating w friends via holographic emojis.
HOWEVER the Robinsons would probably still do their part to help others & possibly feel the burn of the world dying around them alongside the economy’s impending collapse.
Order of the Robinsons’ likeliness to lose their marbles: Joe, Tallulah, Franny, Petunia, Fritz, Carl, Gaston, Art, Spike + Dimitri, Wilbur, Bud, Billie, Lucille, Buster, Cornelius, Lefty
Tallulah, if she has any seamstressing skills (or employs people who do) might convert her fashion business into cotton mask business.
Fran would perform live stream concerts and she would’ve been a part of that ugly Imagine celebrity-sing-along video. She might also start to do increasingly unhinged gardening vlogs like January Jones. (She would’ve also secretly donated lots of cash to charity.)
Wilbur’s sitting around playing video games, let’s not kid ourselves. (Neil probably has the timelab on triple lockdown, too.)
Art is a delivery guy so he’s obviously still working. The fact that he delivers intergalactically begs the question of wether the bad universe Robinsons have to deal with an intergalactic as well as global plague.
BHG is dead I’m sorry :(
Neil, as the owner of a multi-billion dollar corporation, is the only other Robinson likely to be interacting with the politics of the pandemic directly. His business isn’t an essential one but could easily be converted:
Reusable PPE: medical and sanitation supplies are disposable for obvious reasons but in times of scarcity, it’s wise to consider reusable alternatives like silicon bodysuits and plastic helmets.
Better masks: As of today a reusable respirator called the North 7700 is already being considered as an alternative to disposable surgical masks that have to be individually fitted to the wearer. Every. Time. Purportedly these masks are also more effective than the N95s (by like 1-5%). They have not been univsarlly adopted and they are also super awkward and bulky for surgeons who might need more space in their field of vision. Neil’s likeliest covid project is to redesign the the surgical respirator mask to be slimmer, versatile, accessible, efficient and resizable. I’m picturing a very fancy, transparent, silicone version of the N95. Maybe they automatically fit to the wearer through sci-fi magic.
Maybe he develops spray-on gloves as seen in a Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ spray-on shoes?
ROBOTS & other automisation to replace engadagered essential workers such as grocery store clerks and delivery people. RI could develop a fully automated postal service & cleaning staff for hospitals. This could also be how the reusable PPE is sanitised. Depending on how intelligent these robots are, some of them could even sub in for orderlies and nurses
Better testing: automate mass testing
Higher accessibility to the internet and better telecommunication software: WiFi everywhere the way Nikola Tesla intended, free laptops / phones / devices and improved video conferencing technology
Software that helps w e-learning and e-working
Automated industrial farming? With an automated delivery system?
(In a post covid world this could lead to fully automated luxury communism or fully automated surveillance dictatorship your call)
Efficient pop up test sites, temporary sinks, etc
Improvements to public transportation (which we can assume is already automated so there’s no danger of drivers getting infected). Maybe the monorail cleans itself & has better air filtration. Maybe the seating and poles etc are rearranged to encourage people to stand apart.
Some kind of insta-garden for people wo yards in their homes? (Aka me. I would like this please thanks)
Bread machine
Maybe he helps develop some kind of powerful purel-like soap that kills the virus without water. But that’s not quite up his engineering ally so
Collabs and funding with biotech companies & hospitals to streamline hospital procedure, improve respirator, PPE, COVID testing technology & even vaccine research. Cornelius thinks the human body is gross but he also feels a moral obligation to help so...
If Neil were evil, he could also contribute to surveillance policing, where those disobeying social distancing and social isolation rules are either admonished by drones, surveilled with cameras, trackers, GPS, facial recognition or even house arrest anklets. But again he’s not evil...
I would also like to think that he pays for his employees’ health insurance and sick leave. Again, we hope he’s not evil.
Maybe the family also donates some food & extra supplies. With so many overseas friends they might send care packages or smth. Fran & her brothers are sure to video call the franahuccis often (their parents are in their seventies/eighties at this point).
The would also implement safety measures Gaston the over-50s and disabled among them. Joe, Bud and Lucille will find a way to self isolate from the rest of the family in style. And possibly with a lifetime’s supply of purell. Maybe they still attend dinner via Skype hologram. Or maybe each individual lives their lives as normal except in a giant self-isolation bubble that Neil invented. Bud will probably create a silly YouTube series to cheer up kids.

Orthopedic Prosthetic Implants Market Opportunity Assessment and Forecast up to 2019-2027
Orthopedic Prosthetic Implants Market Introduction
Orthopedic prosthetics are medical devices utilized to substitute or make an available fixation point of bone to hold the implant or to replace the joint surfaces. Orthopedic prosthetics are used to replace troubled joints. Prosthetic surgeries involve removal of damaged joints and insertion of implants. Orthopedic prosthetic implants are manufactured from titanium alloys and stainless steel for better strength and long term durability. Orthopedic prosthetic implants are lined with plastic or cemented for proper fit and provide strength to the bone. According to the oat open access text ltd., surgeons prefer total hip replacement using femoral shaft medullary canal stem made of titanium, cobalt-chromium neck, and ceramic or cobalt-chromium-molybdenum.
Orthopedic Prosthetic Implants Market- Competitive Landscape
Major players operating in the global orthopedic prosthetic implants market include Medtronic, B. Braun Melsungen AG, DePuy Synthes Companies, Aesculap Implant Systems, LLC, Smith & Nephew plc, K2M Group Holdings, Inc., Stryker Corporation, Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc., Wright Medical Group N.V., Integra LifeSciences Corporation, DJO Global, Inc., Baumer S.A., and Extremity Medical, LLC.

Alarming increase in spine disorders to create demand for orthopedic prosthetic implants
An article published in reumatologia stated that musculoskeletal disorders were the cause of nearly 166 million years lived with disability (YLDs), with neck and low back pain accounting for 69.9% deaths. In 2015, nearly 33 million man-days were lost due to spine disorders, and nearly 2.7 million medical certificates were issued for back pain. Current demographic changes and lifestyle-related factors increase the risk of back problems. Hence, demand for medical services to treat disorders of the spine and their symptoms is also likely to augment the global orthopedic prosthetic implants market.
Restraining factors
Limited insurance coverage, inflated cost of devices & implants, and preference for drugs over treatment devices are the factors expected to restrain the global market in the near future.

Reasons why Plastic Surgery is the Best?
Reconstructive surgery gives patients a replacement lease on life. It helps them look younger, reduce and achieve the physicality of their dreams. Besides aesthetics, there are many other reasons to think about plastic surgery, including accident rehabilitation, illness recovery, and correction of birth defects.
Mishaps:
An accident can damage quite a person’s appearance. Injuries to the mouth or nose may cause serious functional issues with the sense of smell and therefore the ability to speak or eat. Surgeries that repair these devastating deformities restore function so patients can enjoy the top quality of life and reduce or eliminate disabilities.
Weight loss:
Too much weight stretches the skin. Often when the load is lost, the client is left with loose skin that hangs off the thinner skeleton. This skin is usually unsightly and clients are wanting to have it removed. cosmetic surgery quickly removes this excess skin, allowing the patient to profit fully from his or her weight loss success.
Breast Cancer:
Breast cancer may require a mastectomy, leaving the patient cured of cancer but with physical changes, she might not be proud of it. Breast reconstruction surgery restores a part of the patient’s body so she will regain the physicality she had before cancer struck. Search for a celebrity plastic surgeon in Indore.
Discomfort:
While some women choose breast augmentation, others suffer physical pain due to oversized breasts. Back pain, rashes, and therefore the inability to participate in some activities can have an adverse impact on life quality. A medically warranted breast reduction takes away these obstacles, allowing patients to enjoy a full and active life free from pain.
Surgeries:
Liposuction changes numerous lives for the higher. When excessive weight won’t answer diet, exercise, and other weight loss techniques, liposuction can quickly remove the troublesome fat and leave the patient happier, fitter, and healthier. However, loose skin is typically left behind.
Covering:
Many potential patients feel discouraged about plastic surgery because they believe their insurance provides no coverage for cosmetic procedures. While some purely aesthetic surgeries are typically not covered, many sorts of plastic surgery are included in insurance policies. These include post-accident restorative surgeries, procedures to correct functional limitations and birth defects, and lots of others. look for plastic surgery in Indore.
Better self-appreciation:
A body defect features a negative impact on emotional well-being which will hurt confidence. A bit like dental work to repair bad teeth boosts many people’s confidence, facelift can increase self-esteem and ensure better emotional health. In many cases, patients that suffer from physical defects become depressed and should feel isolated. facelift fixes the defect, allowing them to realize confidence and bloom socially.
