My head is starting to hurt from trying to process a good pathway to getting some new clothes for my wardrobe and I gotta rant a bit 🫤🫠😵‍💫

I predominantly have graphic t-shirts and jeans anymore and want to add in cuter tops and maybe even some skirts??? Or a dress or two??? And I'm rather fond of the more classic style atm. I'd like to be able to go between my more casual self and nicer dressed self.

Which is a problem because most of the stores in my area don't really have a lot to offer for that style. It's a lot of country style or trendy-pop style or grunge - nice but not what I'm looking for right now. And those that do have more classic pieces are more expensive, but they're in theory good/decent quality. I'll probably have to hit up a lot of stores regardless of the vibes and just buy one or two things here and there that hit the bullseye for what I want.

But that also leads to looking for online options. Which opens up to more options, but I think we all know the struggles of trying to order clothes online. And again many places of quality clothes will be more expensive. But then you have Shein... it's got the styles and the budget friendly price point...but it's got questionable background and a mixed-bag of complaints in regards to sizing and quality.

Consider this a Headcanon but I imagined they were likely set up as like, teens- maybe not fully arranged marriage, but marriage was heavily implied with their courtship. So here I imagine them as like 15/16 which is why they're kind of smaller and scruffier, as well as having their outfit colors a little lightened. Also Ludovica in cute ear bows moment. I THINK this is my first more or less official online artist fan art??? I hope I did them justice.

A quality pair of black tights: I love HUE and Wolford! The control top ones always feel the best for me, personally.

Sheer black tights with or without back seam detailing: Hue and Wolford, always!

Simple bodysuit/shapewear bodysuit: The SKIMS ones are great.

Elevated shapewear bodysuit (in a fabric like satin, lace, or vegan leather): I love the Spanx Shaping Satin Thong Bodysuit and the Commando Faux Leather bodysuit – perfect to wear with a pair of jeans and a blazer.

High-waisted sculpting underwear: SKIMS Seamless Sculpt is my favorite (runs on the smaller side!)

Satin slip dress: Can be worn at home or with a blazer/leather jacket for a night out.

Fully lace or lace trim slip dress: If wearing it alone could run someone's life, you're doing it right. Love the one from Cosabella. If you want to wear it out, try a vegan leather bralette, an opaque black brief, and lace or sheer black tights for a "naked" dress look or black pants/denim for a night-out look. Otherwise, save this one to feel sexy while relaxing at home or to wow a partner any night of the week. If you want some ultra-glamorous options, I suggest checking out Oséree but their items are $$$$ as a fair warning.

What kind of clothes would Vasco wear after Machete's death? He tends to wear bright and warm colors, and I was wondering if he would start wearing dark and cool colors to reflect his inner state

I also had thought that he might start to veer towards more somber shades. In reality, late 16th century fashion was dominated by dark colors, if you look at portraits from late renaissance/early baroque eras you quickly notice that pitch black was the most fashionable color (compare that to early and high renaissance fashion from 1400 to 1550 which was visibly more vibrant and colorful). I might be bending the timeline a little bit by having him dress in vivid blues with gold accents, but it's his signature style and I think it mirrors his luminous, free-spirited and approachable personality well. After Machete's death he might've experienced a period where jewel tones had lost their luster to him.

like. we see iii especially being a fashion icon and switching it up- wearing some really cool outfits and shit (and mostly attainable? brands. like they’re not cheap- but he’s not wearing insanely expensive shit either. the average person with good pay/money management can get those clothes too)

i wanna know if like. the band plans these outfits together like throwing together a mood board or whatever of the vibes they’re going for, or if iii just shows up to rehearsals with a new wardrobe and the others just roll with it. especially considering ii and ves and espera are so consistent and always wear the same thing more or less. iv is consistent even if he switches it up a bit too

i have to admit i really do love the idea of iii just living his best life and showing up in more and more elaborate outfits and everyone else just rolling with it

I personally see Sam as a diy thrift your clothes type of goth. Safety pins, studs/spikes,patches ect. Only buying from small ethical businesses every now and then, and her wardrobe is 100% curated over the years.

With a mix of her grandma's clothes in there as well because we love giving life to hand me downs👏

I just personally can't see her buying from big companies or fast fashion especially with how she is in the show.

These doodles are how i see her to start dressing in her college years and in the show i see her more as a baby bat tbh (that's just me tho)

I think she branches out a bit and gets more comfortable in making her style really fit her with experimenting (Romantic or Victorian goth Sam would be great)
