Whether you prescribe to Jamil being 9 months older or 2 months younger than Kalim, either way, there's something extremely deliberate about how close Kalim and Jamil are in age. 

If Jamil is 9 months older, it could mean the Asims decided to have their first child and heir not long after Jamil was born so that Jamil and Kalim could be together. 

If Jamil is 2 months younger, it could mean that the Vipers decided to have a child not long after the Asims announced they would be having their first heir so that Jamil and Kalim could be together.

Jamil is in a unique situation where he was specifically assigned to be Kalim's everything. He's a bodyguard, a poison tester, a chef, a retainer, and a companion all in one. He was given this extremely important job seemingly from the moment he was born and, to me, it feels intentional from both the Vipers and the Asims.

Of course, the more obvious answer is probably just coincidence. Maybe they didn't choose to conceive their children for the purpose of the rightful heir and loyal servant to be intrinsically linked since birth, but it would be poetically tragic if it were and I'm a bit too into poetically tragic things.

imagine you go to a school where everyone fawns over this one girl who is like this preppy little air head who's hyper focused on her appearance and her social standing who just all of a sudden starts getting really attached to her goth roommate who does really good academically, to the point where the goth girl gets invited to go meet the president and discuss a future career in the government.

and on the day the goth roommate is leaving, the preppy popular girl has a public falling out with her boyfriend, announces to everyone she's changing her name in solidarity with her teacher who was arrested for being a radical, jumps a train heading to the capital without telling anyone she's even leaving, and then the next thing you hear about her is that she's a political prisoner being held by the secret service and her goth roommate is the most wanted fugitive in the country and is on the lam

Imagine you live in pelican town. The new farmer has been here a couple weeks now and seems to be settling in, except... He's picking the weirdest friend choices. Like sure it's not weird to befriend the local fisherman, especially when he has an interest in fishing himself, but you're pretty sure you've seen him rooting through the Saloon's garbage with the local homeless man. As well, he keeps harassing the poor guy who works at Joja even though you KNOW he doesn't want to be friends with him.

And since you're on the topic of weirdness, isn't it odd he seemingly runs everywhere at a full sprint? Or just... Eats entire raw fish while fishing for "energy reasons"...

Despite all that, it's too early to call him off putting or anything... He has been engaging in town traditions, and he's started helping out with the old community centre. He's probably like the rest of you. Someone with a few quirks, that will fit in with the valley great!

Surely he can't get any weirder... Right?

One of the most important things to know with Nico’s character is he is, in this order:

1.) An extrovert who cares SO MUCH about EVERYTHING, ALL OF THE TIME and thinks so highly of his friends and gets sad and lonely when he’s not around people and doesn’t want anyone else to feel sad and lonely. When he’s not around people he talks to the dead to fill in that gap. He’s surprisingly self-assured but is sensitive to what other people think about him (ex: has no qualms against murder and doesn’t regret it at all but is concerned he scared Reyna and Coach/made them uncomfortable by killing somebody in front of them).

2.) The world’s most awkward nerd. He loves card games and struggles to not infodump about his special interests at inopportune times and wanted to be a greek hero/pirate/possibly an aviator growing up, but also that was like Two Years Ago and he doesn’t wanna talk about it.

3.) Thinks of himself as judge, jury, and executioner on both a metaphorical sense but also he is literally that. Like, that’s literally his job position as Ghost King/son of Hades and he takes it very seriously and he will straight up murder somebody if they are breaking the laws of the Underworld (unless he's giving somebody a pass because they’re his friend/family because see: bullet point 1 <3). And it directly ties into his powers (seemingly being able to judge people’s souls while they’re still alive and then also like. just. rip people’s souls out or turn them into skeletons).

So do with that information what you will.

One Piece Live action season 1 + hints or similarities to future One Piece moments (specifically after East Blue saga) - part 1: episodes 1-3

This wasn't meant to be a comparison between the live action and the animanga, but more so seeing these added/modified scenes that differ from the manga, yet with some of the acting/writing includes clues and hints to different and future canon material, or even characterization that necessary doesn't fit East Blue yet, but fits well enough into later arcs.

Luffy not knowing his world directions both in Opla (ep 1) /// Skypiea arc, in anime ep 168. But it could be for honestly any other arc (Funny thing is, in Opla he rang the bell that unfortunately alerted Alvida's crew, and only when I was rewatching that scene it made me connect it with the great Luffy moment at the end of Skypiea.)

The matches that Zoro has on the Island of Sixis in Opla ep 1, possibly manufactured on Baldimore (?), with a name Beast of Baldimore. /// After Sabaody Archipelago Franky was sent to Baldimore by Kuma, finding Vegapunk's homeland and laboratory, and also developing more of his science projects, as well as causing funny incidents, such as the Burning Beast. (It has probably nothing to do with the matches, except for the 'tiger on fire' motif and the name of Baldimore, but the details of Opla are just so fun!)

Zoro's first meeting with Luffy in Opla episode 1 is really different but fun nonetheless, especially with wording of the line that he doesn't want to 'play pirates' with Luffy. It's such a great setup line for his development to truly be one of the very first to understand how much Luffy means everything he's doing /// Zoro in ep. 323 Post Enies Lobby arc, making sure both his crew and the audience know how seriously he takes being part of Luffy's crew and what it means for future arcs.

Opla ep 2, Luffy mentioning Shanks' way of thinking about fighting (or not fighting someone who's not worth it) /// ep. 146 Jaya arc, Luffy saying to Zoro not to fight Bellamy's crew, which was direct influence from Shanks not fighting the Mountain bandits in the first chapters of the manga. It's interesting that for both of these scenes both Zoro and Nami are there to hear this.

This is just a fun bit, but seeing Nami excited about having a bath was cute. Opla ep 3 /// anime ep. 326, just after they get Sunny and everyone was finding out what space there is for them.

Garp and Koby playing the game of Go, Opla ep 3 /// CP0 agents playing Go while discussing the outcome of Strawhats & Oden's crew's raid on Onigashima against Kaido. It seems like a game that maybe Marines play more/enjoy (?) & above, up to CP ranks.

Usopp 'retelling' a story about eating a dragon, Opla ep 3 /// Punk Hazard ep 580, Zoro killing the dragon and planning with Luffy what's the best way to cook and eat it. Lol. In next chapters Luffy was carrying a big chunk of it, seemingly ate a bit part of the dragon already.

This one is self explanatory. Zoro is so gone for Luffy in Opla it's insane. Every time I remember that I get emo. ep 3. /// One of the first really fond smiles that Zoro keeps smiling at Luffy, a mixture of proud and understanding how Luffy works. ep 63, but it's just so much better in the manga, just look at it. Smitten™ (ch. 104)

speaking of how respect plays into tyler & kate's dynamic. i feel like what makes tyler such a good romantic lead is that, even when he's talking down to kate in the beginning, you never get the impression it's because she's a woman.

contrast tyler with scott. scott is constantly condescending to kate: second-guessing her every decision despite being miles behind her in field knowledge; undermining her professionally (negating her attempt to network with an investor); calling her javi's "girlfriend" as if javi's deference to kate is a lapse in judgment. he's not cartoonish about it, but his contempt for the situation is pretty obvious. he resents being made subordinate to a woman with no legitimate way to question it.

then you have tyler. we expect him to be a classic case of cowboy machismo, misogyny and all -- and it's true that he doesn't fully respect kate in the beginning, but it's because she's riding with stormpar. and even then, it's clear how badly he wants to respect her: initiating conversations with subtle cues to reveal her priorities ("our crew's not like your crew"); talking shop with her; straight-up asking if she knows how stormpar makes their money, and then still checking on her when they part ways in anger. he's not threatened by a female stormchaser -- he sees a kindred spirit in her, and his feelings move from fascination to real attraction when he sees they have their principles in common, too. it's insanely refreshing to see.

To open the book, the circular mechanical emblem on the cover must be twisted in an anticlockwise direction, which causes the two clasps on the right side to pop up. To close the book, the two clasps should be pushed down into their corresponding slots and held. The emblem should then be turned clockwise, causing the locks to fix back into place. Intentionally distressed for the production, there are some small chips on the cover. Dimensions: 14.5" x 14.5" x 4.75" (37 cm x 37 cm x 12 cm) Estimate: $50,000 - 100,000
