Imagine you live in pelican town. The new farmer has been here a couple weeks now and seems to be settling in, except... He's picking the weirdest friend choices. Like sure it's not weird to befriend the local fisherman, especially when he has an interest in fishing himself, but you're pretty sure you've seen him rooting through the Saloon's garbage with the local homeless man. As well, he keeps harassing the poor guy who works at Joja even though you KNOW he doesn't want to be friends with him.

And since you're on the topic of weirdness, isn't it odd he seemingly runs everywhere at a full sprint? Or just... Eats entire raw fish while fishing for "energy reasons"...

Despite all that, it's too early to call him off putting or anything... He has been engaging in town traditions, and he's started helping out with the old community centre. He's probably like the rest of you. Someone with a few quirks, that will fit in with the valley great!

Surely he can't get any weirder... Right?

UGH he was meant to be a hubby and father not a sorcerer (damn that gege)! i was also thinking of suguru too so i’m glad we align on that accord as well :) someone else i have in mind hmmmmmm. . . . i’m going to have to go with some of my lovers that no one really talks about so here goes:

i firmly believe that shiu kong would be an amazingggg father; yes he’s in a less than honorable line of work at the moment but he definitely has those caretaker qualities and will be happy to take on new responsibilities of fatherhood ( he was probably amazing at babysitting megumi on toji’s behalf >< )

i also want to offer choso as an ultimatebestamazing father 🥺🥺 i just think he loves taking care of those he cares about (look at how he treats yuuji) and takes pride in / finds fulfillment in that so fatherhood would naturally to him too, but he’d be so so nervous at first. also, choso is a girl dad i will not be taking arguments on this!

i’m trying to think of others but these are my main choices !! :3

writing is so silly because you have to maintain the understanding that you're not more specialer than anyone else and your work needs improvement and you have more to learn. but also you have to fully believe that your stuff is amazing. mindblowing. masterpiece the likes of which no one has ever seen before. you really have to hold these contradictory beliefs next to each other and force them to play nice. it's like shoving your shoulder angel and devil into a "get-along shirt." It doesn't make any sense. But if you don't, you're not going to get anywhere

You have to pursue what your writing Could Be with dogged determination while unflinchingly perceiving what it Actually Is. You have to accept that you're not more deserving or likely to succeed than any other writer, but you also have to love and honor and cling to your own specific mad genius because no one else is going to do it for you. Writing is really hard and it's also really worth it.
