So, apparently, we Dramiones are proudly admitting how much we want to see Hermione getting raped by Draco.

And that's why this ship is the worst, because Drarry and Pansmione wouldn't admit that proudly.

So uh... wtf ?

I want to say that personally, and tell me if this is the case for you too, but I have never come across a Dramione shipper who did /said that.

Not even those who like Manacled, or indeed other fanfictions of this type.

And this is where I think there is a huge disconnect between the Dramione fandom in general, as well as the more specific part of it liking this kind of fanfiction / story, and precisely what the anti-Dramione people think of the ship and the fandom.

For them to enjoy reading these kinds of stories or writing them would be equal to this bullshit of proudly proclaiming how much we want and love to see Hermione get raped by Draco.

When it just has nothing to do with it.

Most of the time, those who enjoy reading or writing this, it's either for personal cathartic reasons, or exploring rape fantasy too, or simply enjoying delving into a super twisted and dark story that is generally stimulating on a psychological level. Also simply exploring a fascination with the morbid perhaps (and no, there's nothing weird about it, in any case, it's not weirder than the general fascination with serial killers). That or the fact that it allows the reader to feel valued and victorious by reading this type of story where the heroine (with whom there is precisely an identification) despite all the horrors that happens to her ends up happy and manages to help to reform the worst of the worst.

All in a reassuring way through fiction, all as a bonus with appreciated characters from an already existing story in particular, and this in a purely fanon context, which is doubly reassuring by the fact somewhere.

So no, liking to read this kind of problematic story, equivalent to Dark Romance, has nothing to do with proudly wanting /particularly liking Hermione to be raped by Draco (very harsh words with the obvious aim of degrading the shippers).

Fanfiction is a place that exists expressly to give free rein to our imagination, even the most disturbing and / or perverse parts (and this in a much freer way than writing a book made public with your name on the cover).

So putting a limit or taboo on what you can or cannot write on a ship is ridiculous.

Not liking it, yes, that’s no problem.

But putting a general stop on it because it would be too inappropriate, and would reveal things about consumers or writers is just stupid and disrespectful.

Also, it is not because these problematic fanfictions are very successful that they are representative of the entirety of what is done / and is loved in the Dramione fandom and his writings.

Quite simply because it is a fanon ship, with multiple possibilities to write that many people write every day.

It really doesn't make sense to simply take Dramione from this type of more dark fanfictions precisely in order to say that it's the most toxic ship in the Harry Potter universe, when it is, once again, a ship fanon with lots of other versions ! It's not a canon ship with an established and grounded dynamic and it never will be !

Acting like Dramione is just pure toxicity and the worst in the Harry Potter universe because of some successful problematic fanfictions is stupid, because those fanfictions, once again, do not 100% represent the ship and the fandom (for example, I'm not particularly into this type of very dark story).

They are just one facet among many others. A facet of which there is not even anything to be ashamed of in fact, because it is simply fiction. There is no problem in loving this kind of story and embracing it.

Plus, tons of people, like me, have been shipping Dramione since they were kids and reading fanfictions ever since. Do you think the kids who ship Dramione get involved in this type of fanfictions, or imagine this kind of scenario when they have Dramione in mind ? That they proudly want Hermione being raped by Draco ?! No. Of course not. Mostly, what we imagine, and what is also the most written generally is a redemption arc where Draco learns to be better and worthy of Hermione. That's all. Even if, yes, sometimes fanfiction with problematic characters can be part of it for some members of the fandom Dramione.

Frankly, I repeat, it's really ridiculous to judge a ship fanon on a single type of specific fanfictions, which of course, as if by chance, suits the hateful speeches of some people.

Like I said, it's baloney, and nothing is set in stone. If today, certain fanfictions with problematic characters are "the face of Dramione" for some and as some say, well maybe in a few years, other less problematic and even healthier stories could come and replace these success.

And at that point, how will the antis justify their hatred of the ship ?

Will they stay focused on the era when it was fanfiction with problematic characters that was most highlighted ? They would be quite capable of it. Or surely they will simply return to the still existing classic discourse on the canon relationship of the characters of Draco and Hermione to proclaim how bad it is to create fanfiction where they are in love with a beautiful relationship ?

After all, these types of extremely Dark fanfictions were not as present at one time and / or were much less represented / popular than today, however, that did not prevent Dramione from being hated with other types of arguments, all generally based on the canonical relationship of the characters while once again, we are on fanon / an alternative continuation from a certain point in the original story...

The truth is that all this is just another excuse to hate Dramione in such a way that it allows you to feel justified in spitting on the shippers by saying precisely such stupid things as, the part of Dramione fandom who love the concept of Dark Romance (or not by the way since they don't even seem to make the difference and put the entire Dramione fandom in the same basket of taste in terms of reading), would be proud of wanting Hermione to get raped by Draco, something other ships fandom doesn't do.

Like... really wtf ? How twisted do you have to be to spout this kind of insulting bullshit ?

And then, not to break these people's bubbles... but there are certainly Drarry fanfictions containing rape, maybe even for Pansmione too.

Since fanfiction has existed most fanon and even canon ships have gotten this kind of fanfiction at one time or another.

Seriously, as if other Harry Potter ships didn't also have problematic scenarios. As if it were only Dramione's own !

You really have to stop the bullshit after a while frankly about the fact that Dramione would be worse (specially when Tomione, who I also like by the way, exists !).

An all that for, once again, fanon ships or you can literally write the relationship however you want because it has no grounded / canon romantic dynamic !

Even if I think that the reason why Dramione has more stories highlighted on this side in recent years than the other ships (beyond the fact that there seems to be a spike in popularity around Dark Romance in general in recent years in the world of literature), it is also because the context of the status of the characters in the Harry Potter universe can best fit a Dark Romance scenario to exploit for those who also love this genre of literature in particular.

Not to mention that they are both very popular and interesting characters to varying degrees who could fit the trope of enemies to lovers by being put together, a trope which can already contain problematic aspects to varying degrees.

And once again, in the context of a universe like Harry Potter with the status of the characters, we can easily switch Dramione squarely into Dark Romance for those who are interested.

This kind of Dramione fanfiction does not exist simply because some of the Dramione shippers would strangely and out of pure perversity of a sick mind want to "see Hermione being raped by Draco in various ways". There is a logic behind the creation of these particular scenarios. We're not sure it's purely free.

But once again, it's not because the context of Dramione lends itself to Dark Romance, which many love and have really immersed themselves in for several years (because yes, I remind you that this type of story does not were not as popular written and represented several years ago as today), that everyone does it and therefore that the whole fandom is like that, including the ship itself, which once again I remind is fanon and therefore still has no established canonical romantic dynamic and we can do what we want with it !

And once again, maybe in a few years, the trend will reverse and much healthier stories from Dramione will replace the Dark Romance type hits of today.

Because a fandom always evolves over time, as does what people write and read.

Dramione has always had certain phases in the fanfiction genre. I remember the period when almost all of the most recommended Dramione fanfictions were fanfictions about Hermione and Draco's 8th year at Hogwarts as head boy. A type of Dramione still popular today, almost classic one could say.

And yet Dramione was just as hated as he is today. When I tell you that all this is just excuses for the haters !

Limit, they can talk about what a certain more or less broad and current part of the Dramione fandom prefers to read / write currently, all without also going into generalization and even less generalization full of judgment of hatred and negativeness, because like I said, there are no real problems or shame with these stories.

But in no case can you give a real genre label to the ship Dramione which once again is purely fanon.

But in short, I think you understand my overall point with this huge block.

Do you have a favorite part of the blitzfizz dynamic?

Okay so.

I'm a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE sucker for childhood friends to lovers. It's my favorite trope of all time, so both Stolitz and Blitzfizz are ships that make me go "Oh hell yeah that's my SHIT."

One-sided pining is also a plus, even if it ended in tragedy.

But personality-wise, I'd have to say they compliment one another well. They play off one another whether they're being hostile or chummy in a way that's like 'Oh yeah, you know one another inside and out'. And I find that appealing. Like even if it's been 15 years and they've both changed SO MUCH as people for better or worse, they understand each other.

I also think it's a bonus that, if you accept all the looks that Blitz gives Fizz and some of the shit he says and does, he's still down bad. Maybe not in a 'I want a relationship' way but in a 'Yeah I still like you a lot' kinda way.

At least that's what I think.

Hi anon! I did a BL reclist for enemies to lovers on the sideblog but I gotta say that I don’t really see Drarry in any of the ships I’ve read so far. Maybe that’s because I haven’t read a lot of BL set in school years, or maybe because BL manga is so different from other types of media? Idk, for some reason I can’t really find similarities with the books.

As for your second ask, I started shipping Drarry over 2 decades ago and the whole rivalry/banter was definitely a big part of it. I’ve always been into enemies to lovers and I think the books missed a great opportunity to explore Draco’s redemption arc and their dynamics as adults, so I love it when Drarry fics go there.

Using as an example one of my all-time favorites - The Boy Who Only Lived Twice by lettered - I love how intense and chaotic Draco and Harry can get together, the ways they can influence each other’s choices and path, plus the fact that they are (canonically!) so obsessed attuned to each other is a big bonus. I haven’t read the books in a long time so I’m way more familiar with fanon Drarry at this point, but I do feel like both characters are very much alike in their intensity - which makes for delicious chemistry and fascinating dynamics, either in a wholesome-soulmates kind of way or in a toxic, co-dependent kind of way. Either way I win 😌 also, it’s not hard to fall into the Drarry pit when the fandom is so massive and full of awe-inspiring, incredibly talented creators! We’re so lucky 🙏🏼

She didn't just spawn and start acting like an asshole to everyone, a hard childhood shaped who she is now and so the bitterness just makes sense (people tend to forget/not know/acknowledge that she was actually shown to be a pretty chill, soft spoken kid. years of neglect is what pushed her to leave) This next part isn't like, a rule for anyone lmao. but this question is for my idea and what my idea is, is that most if not every single one of my pj variants have got parental issues (even if a lot smaller in some cases) because said issues are a staple for this guy atp (to meeee)

Unpopular opinion: I think the pj and fresh dynamic can be fun without shipping or the uncle fresh interpretation. They're both grown and get into shenanigans (also I think it's funny if pj initially just hung around the guy because he's literally walking error repellent, and since fresh is unable to posses pj the strategy just kinda became "hmm having a friend makes me look more normal, I can live with this")

Favorite relationship: omnipj forever and always 💜🩷I used to go through their ship tag like every day when I discovered them I swear, they are genuinely the cutest thing ever to me. My interpretations of them rarely get to the point of pj running away and being forgotten, but there's always this.. disconnect, yknow? (I am a huge fan of good dad ink guys I just tend to douse their relationship with pj in a little flame before they get to the healing part🙏) (And bonus since we're on the topic of parents, the fact that pj still wanted to on some level appeal to even error after the things he's done to them is absolutely tragic, and all this put together really adds to my reading of pj as a character being one who believes in the idea of having to work to deserve to be respected/cared for) Uhhh part 3 I promise this one is shorter: Palette and pj are the siblings ever to me. I really like sibling dynamics that are adult/teen + kid, (ik palette is canonically an adult now just let me have this) plus they're opposites in a ton more ways and play off of each other really well. I believe that pj was not happy in the slightest about being an older sibling to him in the beginning, but they always grow to love each other <3

Sebagrell is like one of my top favourite ships just because of how fun their dynamic is, a demon butler who's just trying to do his job and a crazed reaper who puts no effort in hiding that she's in love with him? Sign me up I got a few headcanons I'm willing to share why not (might be long so have fun ready) - Sebastian first realising he might be developing feelings for Grell is funny, not only does he physically beat himself up for it, but it gets to the point where he just tells the phantomhive servants "If I see ANY red in my view point I'm going to lose it all". But Ciel ends up making it worse when he realised why he's acting like this and starts commanding him to do tasks that involve the color red just out of spite (ex: picking out cherries/strawberries) - Sebastian pre-relationship might've been in deep denial, but in relationship Sebastian had his ego go up to the heavens because not only is he aware that he's winning with a girl like Grell, but he purposely does PDA, ESPECIALLY in front of William just because it pisses him off (P.S. No William is not jealous, he just hates Sebastian's guts and is concerned for Grell's safety because she really picked a manwhore of all people + Will is aro, he's just looking out for his bestie) - Most of the time Grell is the big spoon in the relationship when it comes to cuddling sessions, they do switch turns every now and then but Grell is the one who prefers to hold him instead of him holding her. Sebastian doesn't mind, I mean wife is warm, she's a pillow plus he purposely sheds his hair when they cuddle just to annoy her because it gets stuck in her hair and clothes, but it's okay Grell fights back because she wears a strong perfume and it rubs off on him (he doesn't realise until it ends up triggering Ciel's asthma) - Grell's love language is biting, she bites the absolute hell out of Sebastian when she gets overly happy. Sebastian would describe it as "imagine being in a shark attack on land but the shark only goes after you 5 times a day", he of course got used to it eventually and let her bite him ONLY when he takes his jacket off and rolls up his sleeves because this woman destroyed so many of his jackets and they're not cheap at all. - Sebastian was confused when Grell begun to appear more and more at the manor and Ciel said nothing about it, not even ordering him to kick her out. He soon realises those two were working together because Grell started bribing Ciel with candy to let her into the manor to have her time with Sebastian, not only did Ciel end up having free candy, but it would mean Sebastian would be too distracted to come and stop him from eating it. So of course he let her in and it started becoming an often occurrence. Subsystems and You 14: Dynamic Hacking

A fascinating thing about cyberpunk and near-future scifi in general is how they speculate on what threads technology will go down in the near future.

For example, a lot of cyberpunk fiction speculated that hacking in the future would involve avatars facing off against elaborate 3D representations of security systems and the avatars of counterhackers in what amount to cyber-wizard battles, with things like DDOS attacks, viruses, and the like being visualized in this 3D hacking space as “spells” or special attacks.

You see this sort of thing in anything from Johnny Mnemonic to The Matrix, though in the latter case, the visualization was more the heroes setting up links so that the folks back in the ship could do the real hacking.

Of course, hacking in the real world has never been so fancy-looking or glamorous, and most programming is dedicated to making hacking programs and viruses able to interact with and overwhelm a system rather than making them show a neat picture to represent them doing so. (Not to say they don’t sometimes do that).

But we’re not interested in the real world right now. In the world of Starfinder, which draws inspiration from all over sci-fi, you can absolutely see characters having their own badass avatars and performing elaborate acts of hacking, which is where today’s subject comes in!

To be up front, this subsystem is meant to be used sparingly, as players are not likely to enjoy being bogged down with an elaborate computerized battle every single time they remove a virus or hack a door lock. Indeed, this system is meant to be used more for major hacking jobs. Things like elaborate defenses for campaign-important databases, battles against malevolent AI on their home turf, and so on.

In any case, the dynamic hacking system functionally turns hacking into a form of combat, with rounds and turns and everything.

First, every hacker has a Deceive, Hacking, and Process bonus, which covers the user’s ability to hide their persona from countermeasures, overcome those countermeasures, and perform various other effects separately such as scanning, repairing the persona, and so on.

Each of these three stats use your computer skill by default, but you can set up each with bonuses or penalties before and during a hack to specialize in infiltration, offense, and support, as long as you don’t go over a certain total bonus based on your computer skill.

From there you have the lead hacker, whose persona avatar is on the line, while other support hackers aid them in various ways.

While the support hackers can only perform minor actions, the lead hacker can perform a minor and major action per turn, plus extra if they’re willing to take penalties.

Each dynamic hacking encounter has countermeasures that seek to protect the system, nodes which provide paths to various files and programs, and modules, which represent protected files or programs which the hackers desire access to in order to access their data or function. Each one has their own abilities as well as the DCs to overcome them, the countdowns for any reprisals they offer, and so on.

In order to overcome these obstacles, the hacking team has several actions they can perform, ranging from minor (aiding and assessing) to major (blending in, creating decoys, modifying programs, recalibrating, repairing the persona, and of course, resolving the current obstacle.

Finally, it is also worth noting that this subsystem has rules for incorporating already existing class abilities and other special abilities tied to hacking, allowing them to apply in appropriate ways, such as faster hacking instead reducing the penalty of multiple actions, or countermeasure negation instead giving a massive bonus to resolving them.

As we can see, this style of hacking is not useful for casual hacking actions in normal play, but it can be a fun way to make for a fun and climactic encounter, or even add another layer to a combat encounter, where the party hacker has to crack the code while their allies keep security robots and the like off of them.

Either way, it's also a good reason to come up with your character's persona avatar appearance and other quirks of their hacking style.

I have thought about this before, mostly when I wasn't confident in shipping tobecky yet and seeing the different pairings back in like 2018 lmao. I think overall, before I went full tobecky brain rot, I was a Scoobey or Sciolecky (Scoops x Becky x Violet) person. The art at the time of those dynamics was so soft, and it was sweet. But unfortunately, tobecky quickly took over 💀

But in the current time, what would I ship? Or what dynamics would I prefer for the respective characters? (Tobey and Becky)

Tobey is the easiest because I think personally it's a semi tie between Scoops and Rose. And before anyone says anything about Rose and Tobey considering my hcs, I purely see it as one-sided!! I just have a laugh over the thought of Tobey liking another brunette with a sense of her own ego and pride.

Scoobey survived in my Tobey pairings. Idk I just think it has a lot of solid fanon ideas, plus I can see them being so messy and dysfunctional. My personal favorite type of Scoobey is them as a married couple in their thirties, Scoops being the cheerful, optimistic husband contrasting Tobey’s emo-ness and antisocial tendencies. The odd couple in the neighborhood.

For Becky? That's a difficult one. Ppl would assume vibecky considering my other preferences in ships of liking friends to lovers better, and of course, the number of lesbians in future AU lol. But unfortunately, I love the gray aro Violet headcanon too much that Violet ships I don't pay much attention to unless their just platonic, and its for fun.

Another ppl would think is Bectoria because of my fanfiction and how I always have in my headcanons of Victoria secretly crushing on Becky, but i explained in another Becky ships Ask that while I like Bectoria and see it's potential. It's always gonna be the other Victoria ship for me personally. I also kinda make a point in my fic on why there would be a downside to it, but other than that, it's a good ship, but not one I actively think about.

I know that Rose x Becky also became a newer ship, and that one is also very cute. And I defended Scoobecky last Ask, so yall know my thoughts about them. Hmm... I guess out of these options, I would honestly go for either RosexBecky or Scoobecky. And i still have some love for the Scoops/Violet/Becky ship. I know that's a very flimsy response, but it's the most honest if i had to pick other Becky ships to be my favorites.

Bonus: (What about Victoria x Tobey? or Tobey x Violet?) They thematically both are very interesting, BUT...this is just a PERSONAL pet peeve of mine that they just look too blonde next to each other...that makes sense, right? Like, idk I get blinded by the yellow and end up lost.

Extra Bonus: (What about Becky with other school characters?) (Hunter, Emma, Eugene, Chazz, etc...) That's all fun to think about, but unfortunately, the other woodview kids don't have much character to go on for me to care (plus who would ever separate Emma and Eugene!) That also applies to the game show trio, Emily, Tommy, Phil. They definitely have more personality than other students, but besides Tommy, I don't see Becky having much chemistry with them. Extra Extra Bonus: (Eileen?) Ohh yeah, I forgot! Um..not really for either of them. I get the feeling that while neither Becky nor Tobey hate Eileen, I don't think they like her either. She's just too much for either of them. Truth be told, I'm not much of a shipper personally, but I have a lot of fun seeing it from different people and thinking about where it comes from.

But this will be fun. So fun, that im going to take this thought way further than i need to. Hopefully I'll have a good number of ships by the time I'm done over analyzing this.

(I actually mentioned that about Seiga because its the only time I've ever seen that ship before, let alone seen any art for it, and was thinking up how it happened, it was cute art after all)

There's actually a much more common ship with a similar character chemistry pairing Sannyo with Yachie,

but this ship makes a bit more sense because not only is Sannyo a dragon fangirl, Yachie even looks a lot like her pipe. In fact, if you used her tail with its length in Touhou 19 you could probably even stretch Yachie into its exact shape, plus a bonus shell.

Ships that can be thought up from the canonical sources.:

Well, first I'll do the ones from Lotus Eaters.

The easiest one to pick is definitely Mamizou. The entirety of Lotus Eaters Chapter 30 was more or less them having a fun and cheeky back and forth.

There is also Miyoi if you want to think of it that way since they are business partners and it's cute seeing her get both encouraged and picked on by Sannyo.

If you want to really be funny, and really stretch the imagination, you can joke about the Ponytailed Yamawaro with the surprising amount of screen time, since Sannyo helped her cool off when she was yelling, and more or less helped her when she was crying.

I mean look at that sad face

Those are the ones from Lotus Eaters.

Now Unconnected Marketeers gives us a few more things to build off of,

Sannyo has a funny back and forth with Sanae, and they both knew about each other before the incident, so that could be interesting.

(Though people can understandably find interactions with any protagonist to build off of if they see it that way)

The next one is since Sannyo lives at Heavens Shelf right beside rainbow dragon cave, Sannyo therefore lives very close by the dragon eater Momoyo too, which is definitely funny.

A surprisingly popular one is Sannyo with Misumaru, this one makes more sense then you might initially think, it comes from Sannyo's dialog implying she's been asked to keep humans out of rainbow dragon cave by someone. That person could only have been Misumaru. Idk how she'd have met her though. One particular artist really loves this ship

Misumaru doesn't technically live in the dragon cave but she definitely uses it sometimes and they both have some mentor energy going for them. My impression of Misumaru just from in game is she has some really proud but also no nonsense aspects to her personality. So it might be fun to see how she could interact with Sannyo.

For the same reason of being nearby, people could potentially ship her with Takane. She lives nearby the Yamawaro and they are both business ladies after all. I think the reason I haven't seen that one is Takane is a bit more hard professional and might not have as good of a back and forth with Sannyo. Especially when Takane has the far more obvious option of Nitori.

She lives nearby the Tengu too, so if someone decided that was enough to go on then they could ship her with any Tengu.

She even says "it's no wonder That Tengu has a high opinion of you" to Sanae.

[We can assume "That Tengu" is Megumu but people can definitely interpret that as someone else if they want. I think ive seen someone assume she was talking about Aya back during the Demo even]

Making it possible to have an argument for Megumu, Aya, Hatate, maybe even Momiji. But given Sannyo's : "you don't need to know about that......., actually i don't know either" flavor interactions with protagonists, it might be hilarious to see her interact with the Tengu.

Unfortunately there is no Sannyo x All Tengu picture to use so have the Megumu laugh Scene from Lotus Eaters:

Thats it for the ships you could extrapolate from UM interactions.

The last ship based on canon sources is Nemuno, they are different versions of the same Yokai species, Nemuno being a Yamanba, and Sannyo being a Yamajorou, a more outgoing version of the species. They both live in the mountains so it's possible for Sannyo to give her a visit if she wants, but Nemuno probably wouldn't travel too far personally.

Finally I'll actually list my favorites:

My favorite ship though is easily with Mamizou. Mamizou and Sannyo had some really fun interactions.

Despite generally not often thinking about Misumaru, I've seen so much cute art of this ship on Pixiv that it makes me kinda like it. They do have compatible personalities so I can't say it's unreasonable.

I feel like she could have potential with Megumu. A Daitengu might be above Sannyo's metaphorical pay grade, but it could be fun. And they apparently are on speaking terms. Plus, you can read Megumu Iizunamaru as Dragon, and thats fun.

[But that's a tough sell, Megumu already is pretty cute with Chimata, has Tsukasa Mythology, and that great running dragon joke with Momoyo]

I think the mental picture of stretching Yachie out into a pipe shape might have sold me on that ship just now too.

Of course, she wouldn't say no. Sure, any of the ODSTs or Marines would have been given the mission, but what was she supposed to do with downtime if you weren't around? Draw on John's face while he slept? Push Fred down the ship's air vents to see how far they went? Those were all good for a laugh, but she couldn't just let such precious cargo be left to the non-spartans, what if something happened? Regardless of whether the area was clear or not, she'd learned the hard way that everything could go wrong in seconds.

It was one thing to trust the ODSTs and Marines with a secure area, but the Covenant were unpredictable, and surprises were a given. So, when you asked for her company on the surface, there was no way she would refuse.

"I appreciate you being willing to come," Your voice carried through the pelican as you sat by her side, fiddling with the datapad in your lap. Kelly adjusted her armor, double-checking the seals and running through a mental checklist. It was muscle memory by now, but habit kept her thorough.

Every mission was critical, and every movement had to be precise. No matter if this was a route fieldwork assignment, she had to be prepared in case something was to happen or to protect you. "I wouldn't want you to get into any trouble without me. Who else is going to keep you out of it?" Her voice held a lightness to it, one she only ever used with the other Spartan and now you.

Spartans weren't known for their jokes, but Kelly had a way of keeping things light, even when things got heavy. It was one of the reasons you liked having her around. She kept the tension at bay while still being razor-sharp when it counted.

Plus, it was a bonus to have your girlfriend interested in your work, especially when you outfitted them with semi-banned explosives. Kelly glanced at you as she finished her armor checks, her visor reflecting the dim light in the pelican's interior. "Remember, if anything goes wrong, just follow my lead," she said with a grin. Not that you could see but had the feeling she was. "And try not to blow anything up until I give the signal."

"Can't make any promises," you replied, a smirk playing across your lips. You knew your girlfriend had a penchant for being fast and stealthy, while you leaned towards big and explosive. It made for an interesting dynamic, to say the least. Especially with your head being in the lab most of the time creating things to give the UNSC the upper hand, you had made an impression on the Spartans. One that got Linda-058 to lovingly name you a 'death tech' as they liked to say, and Fred-104 never let you forget it.

The Pelican jostled as it entered the planet's atmosphere, its engines flaring as it made its descent. The slight turbulence made you grip your datapad a bit tighter, while Kelly seemed unfazed, her armored hand reaching over to give your thigh a gentle squeeze and left her hand resting there. It was a small comfort, but it helped.

"You alright?" she asked, her voice crackling through the internal comms. Her visor was angled toward you, and even though you couldn't see her eyes, you could sense the concern. You gave her a short nod and a thumbs up, closing your eyes for a moment as the Pelican swiftly descended.

"Touchdown in three," the pilot's voice crackled over the intercom. Kelly released your thigh and stood up, her movements fluid and controlled despite the heavy armor. You secured your datapad and double-checked your sidearm, more so to ease your girlfriend's mind. "Touchdown," the pilot announced as the Pelican settled onto the ground with a soft thud. The ramp lowered, letting in a rush of cool, humid air. Beyond was the dark, dense forest that surrounded the drop zone, it was eerily quiet, minus the occasional bird chirp and humming of bugs.

"Ready?" Kelly asked, checking her weapon one last time while extending a hand to help you off. You nodded, sliding the datapad into your pack and taking her hand. She pulled you to your feet with ease, her hand never leaving yours as she did a quick sweep of the area.

"Lead the way," you replied, squeezing her hand. She nodded and stepped off the Pelican, her boots sinking slightly into the damp earth. You followed close behind, your eyes scanning the treeline for any signs of movement but ultimately felt relaxed.

After all, if anyone would protect you with their life, it was her.

I don't know about canon version of him, concerning the version with 'angsty lore' I think the worst match would be someone who resembles his family. Which means that anyone who is not like his family would be a good match. Which ironically means that he shouldn't date anyone who is a lot like himself, or someone who'd remind him about his family ("you're a violent guy, you're bloodthirsty, you're stuck up, you're xenophobic" etc)

please dont take this seriously, my thoughts change a lot and it was my current opinion (as of today)

Satadate (Satanick x Idate)

In my mind, Idate and Satanick are really good together but I don't personally see them as a romantic pair, i dont know why, maybe it didnt click with me. They can hang out together and have fun, they are also very tolerant and lax with each other. Idate is very patient with Satanick's emotions and sensitiveness, and orca doesn't get upset at his outbursts. And Satanick doesnt mind Idate keeping things to himself. I imagine if they were together, they'd be so lax with each other like a couple where both let their s/o date other people. Satanick's brain is on fire 24/7 and Idate is calmer and more organized (Idate is disorganized and unfocused but it's nowhere near as bad as Satanick's lack of focus). Plus Satanick is really active and very very artistic, he likes various things, so Idate could be introduced to new stuff that Satanick gets into.

9/10, I dont know why i dont ship it, maybe because this looks like BFF dynamic to me

Idarock (Idate and Rock)

Childhood friends is a nice dynamic, I suppose. In my head I liked to headcanon that Idate used to be shyer and less confident and Rock used to be mischievous and active, and Rock's attitude rubbed off on him (I know in canon it was different though). The ship asks are cute and maybe that rubbed off on me and how i see them. Rock being frustrated and annoyed with Idate would feel bad for me personally but I believe Idate is fine with that. As long as Rock just has an attitude and not being actually disgusted with Idate it's a solid match. 9/10

Bonus: them knowing about each other more than others would be an interesting addition to the dynamic between them

Shirodate (Shirogane x Idate)

I wont talk about canon version of this pair-. In non-canon verse, I feel like... it would be a bit awkward, and maybe a slow burn? Shirogane is anxious and tends to assume things about people, plus he is sulky in a way that Idate wouldn't tolerate as much as he'd tolerate Rock's attitude. Idate enjoys being feared but there are times when he's sensitive about it and him being treated with fear would upset him. In a universe where Shirogane tries to protect him i think the ship is cute, but in a verse where Shiro is just fearful of him it'd be bitter between them. 6/10 for the "scared and distrustful shiro x i-hate-being-seen-as-a-monster Idate", and 8/10 for "must-protect-idate Shirogane and can-snap-everyone-in-half Idate"

...i thought about it, and i think, for the soft angst potential, I like them together. Two predator animals, one is terrified of the world, and the other is seen as a terror by the world. There is some melancholic potential here. it's cheesy and overdone but i like thinking about it

Rocmate (Rocma and Idate)

*clears throat* In the universe where Idate has baggage, them together would look awkward to me. Rocma is pretty cold and doesn't show what she feels, and Idate is not the type to spray his energy on others, so they'd just peacefully coexist. They would be a powerful duo who'd rip and tear to save the other, but other than that there would be not much, they'd look like an arranged couple that does their marriage duty but doesn't get lovey and i personally am okay with it, ; 7/10 because I haven't thought enough ideas about this ship tbh, maybe I'll see more in it

I thought more about it , and I think a power duo is good. And Rocma softening toward someone who she'd never think she'd like is endearing. Two scary people growing softer and nicer toward one another is a fine dynamic

Tatsudate (Tatsumiya and Idate)

The pair would be so good and peaceful that I can't say much about it, 9/10. I'm only not sure if it'd work bc i feel Idate wouldn't want to live in the blue sea town, unless Tatsumiya is okay with him travelling around and visiting sometimes. Nagi would be better off with Tatsumiya, but I don't know how to feel about breaking the uncle-niece duo apart.. Darn, I imagined a whole scenario where Idate and Tatsumiya had a whole wedding in a blue sea town near the castle and how pretty it'd look, and I admit the idea of Idate and Tatsumiya being an actual married couple and it being a huge surprise for anyone who learns about it, is fun.

..now I feel bad for Tatsumiya because she'd be a married oarfish who stays at her home and her husband is almost never home. But then again, she values her people above anything else so it's endearing to imagine that Idate respects that

name a bleach character you think would work in another anime and drop your reasons why

I'll start, here me outー Orihime in JJBA. Specifically part 3, Stardust Crusaders.

First of all, with Stands like the Sex Pistols and Harvest, the Shun Shun Rikka could easily be transitioned into a Stand. Hell, if we take her OST into account she already has a name for it: Love Is Waiting (which Imma roll with because Vanilla Ice didn't have a Stand named after the major arcana nor an Egyptian god).

Second, I think that she would mesh surprisingly well with the Crusaders. In the practical sense, the Crusaders could have used a healer on the team for a lot of their close calls. I would even go as far to say that depending on the circumstances that Avdol could easily be the only Crusader casualty if Orihime was present for the fight against Vanilla Ice as healing Iggy would be light work for her. (Because considering what happened to Avdol was an ambush idk if he'd be able to luck out.) And if Koichi could last long enough for Josuke to pop up and heal him, Kakyoin's ass could wait for Orihime.

And personality-wise, she would definitely add to the comedy of the Crusaders' dynamic with gag scenes like her attempting to cook while they're traveling through the desert, the Shun Shun Rikka's individual personalities, deciding getting bit by Iggy is worth it because he's so adorable. Plus she'd add an empathetic touch to the cast when necessary. I could definitely see her connecting quite well with Polnareff since they both share the loss of a sibling and I feel like they'd have a brother-sister dynamic themselves by the end of the part.

And third, if you wanna go as far as shipping, honestly I think she'd be rather compatible with Kakyoin. I think he'd find her charming and easy to talk to about his fears and shame concerning his past run-in with DIO. Orihime would be the one most likely to try and listen to him when everyone else thought he was cracking under the pressure during the Death 13 episodes and realize that Kakyoin might have been acting off throughout the day but not in the way the others were assuming. They'd have their first date after getting back to Japan after DIO's defeat.

Bonus: her TYBW arc dress would fit rather well with the Jojo aesthetic.

(And as far as other parts of JJBA... I could see her in either/or of the many cast members of Stand users created by Keicho in part 4 whether that's as a lady who works at a local bakery or as a classmate of Josuke & co.

As much as I'd like to finesse Orihime into Part 5 though, I don't think it would work since I have a hard time seeing how she would fit in smoothly with the Bucci Gang.I can say with reluctant confidence though that I think she'd be a member of the gang that wouldn't make it though since in the second half of GW Diavolo specifically targeted members of the gang based on how much of a threat they were. Moody Blues' rewind ability and Aerosmith's tracking got Abbacchio and Narancia knocked off the team census and with Orihime's defense and healing abilities, she'd be a long term hindrance in keeping the team going. So I imagine Orihime would have a massive target on her back because of it.)

TLDR: I think Orihime would fit in pretty well with the cast of Stardust Crusaders in a practical sense, the team dynamic and if shipping is also something floats your boat she would have it covered as well.
