What's happened in my life since I was active on here? Glad you asked!
Left Wattpad completely and deleted everything on that platform.
I had another baby after 2+ years of trying, a miscarriage, and adjusting my lifestyle to undiagnosed PCOS.
Quit nannying to freelance as a Game Narrative Designer and Ghostwriter on top of my beta/sensitivity reading and have gotten to work on some really cool stuff. Including a project I'm going to be flying out to California for in two weeks.
Started working on self publishing The Witchlit Project, and a kids tarot book.
Wrote the first draft of Familiars, and started two other manuscripts (Red Hand of the Martyr, and Code Simulacrum).
Nearly finished season 2 of Tales From The Ridge.
Got really good at baking.
Got back on Adderall (yay!)
Started DMing a Western Fantasy tabletop rpg where 99% of the players chose to be rat folk.
Played so much Baulder's Gate 3.
Started being intentional about my IRL community and friendships.
Went viral on TikTok for a "Hear Me Out" Cake.
Started planning [redacted] with @kaylapocalypse that will hopefully put me on the track to having an agent and a trad published book by summer 2026!
Anyways... How are you? 😂

HABITS TO IMPLEMENT IN THE MORNINGS
Hi girls! As a PCOS girly (let me know if you want a post on PCOS 💕), I know how important it is to have healthy morning habits. Mornings influence how your whole day goes, capitalizing on it is the easiest way to start a smooth day!
1. NOT GOING ON UR PHONE RIGHT AWAY
I know how easy it is to fall to temptation and open your phone, but this is one of the worst things you can do to your brain first thing in the morning. Watching a screen first thing in the morning triggers a hormone called cortisol, which spikes your fight or flight. Allow you body 15-20 minutes to adjust before checking your electronic devices.
2. JOURNALING
Something I want to start doing is morning journaling. I don’t know if this is simply for me, but I feel as though my thoughts are fresher as I wake up. Writing down what I’m grateful for puts me in a good mood from the get-go.
3. DOING MY BED
Now I say this, but 90% of the time, I forget to do it 😅.. However, 2024 is the time to implement good habits!! Doing your bed shows discipline in scheduling and gives you a sense of control in the beginning of the day. It is a simply task that shows responsibility and cleanliness.
4. DOING MY MORNING SKINCARE AND HYGIENE ROUTINE
I saw an article that says that brushing your teeth after you eat isn’t good because of all the acid, so I try to brush my teeth before eating. I also give myself some time between brushing my teeth and breakfast so I don’t have that minty breath as I eat.
When it comes to skin care, I try to keep it simple as the more products you use, the less healthy your skin becomes. Here’s what I do (I can post a more in-depth routine if you want 😊):
1. Daily facial cleanser
2. Moisturizer mist
3. Boosting serum
4. SPF
5. Water sleeping mask
6. Under-eye cream
7. Lip repair cream
5. DOING MORNING YOGA
Once again, as PCOS girl, getting my cortisol levels as low as possible is my priority in the morning. Doing yoga reminds my body and hormones to relax and that I am safe. It is also an easy way to get your body moving in the mornings!! I highly encourage starting yoga or somatic exercises :)
6. EATING A BALANCED BREAKFAST
Everyone’s lifestyle looks different, so I’m not here to tell you what to eat/not to eat. You know your body, so fuel it accordingly!! Personally, I enjoy having eggs with cheese paired with either potatoes, oatmeal or yogurt. I’m not huge on fruits unfortunately so I try to get my needed vitamins in gummies or during the summer time, I’ll indulge in mangoes, pineapple and strawberries. I also love applesauces and pastries, but it’s all in moderation. Because of my PCOS, I equally need to watch my insulin levels, but I’m still sure to ALWAYS enjoy my food and indulge in whatever I want to eat. Restrictions do nothing positive and eating what you love is no crime.
so much love,
a girl unfiltered 💋

Natural Remedies for PCOS Management: Expert-Recommended Diet and Lifestyle Changes
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects millions of women worldwide, often causing hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, and weight gain. While medical treatments are available, incorporating natural remedies, particularly diet and lifestyle changes, can significantly help in managing PCOS symptoms. In this blog, we explore expert-recommended strategies for effectively managing PCOS naturally.
What role does diet play in managing PCOS?
Diet plays a crucial role in PCOS management as it directly impacts insulin levels, inflammation, and hormonal balance. Eating a balanced diet can help regulate menstrual cycles, reduce symptoms, and promote weight loss.
Experts recommend focusing on foods with a low glycemic index (GI) that release sugar slowly into the bloodstream. Include whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats while minimizing processed foods and sugary snacks.
Here are some expert-recommended food groups:
Which foods are considered best for women with PCOS?
High-fiber foods: Oats, quinoa, lentils, and broccoli to stabilize blood sugar levels.
Lean proteins: Chicken, turkey, tofu, and fish to support muscle health without spiking insulin.
Healthy fats: Avocados, nuts, olive oil, and seeds to reduce inflammation.
Low GI fruits: Berries, apples, and pears for natural sweetness.
Herbs and spices: Cinnamon and turmeric for anti-inflammatory benefits.
What lifestyle changes can help alleviate PCOS symptoms?
Regular Exercise: Engage in 30-45 minutes of moderate physical activity at least five days a week. Activities like brisk walking, yoga, and strength training are effective.
Stress Management: Practices like meditation, mindfulness, and deep breathing can help reduce cortisol levels.
Quality Sleep: Aim for 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to help regulate hormone levels.
Weight Management: Even a 5% reduction in body weight can improve symptoms significantly.
Are there natural supplements that can help?
Yes, certain supplements have shown promise for PCOS management. However, consult your healthcare provider before starting any supplement regimen. Popular options include:
Inositol: Helps improve insulin sensitivity.
Vitamin D: Supports hormonal balance.
Omega-3 fatty acids: Reduces inflammation.
Magnesium: Helps with insulin regulation and stress management.
How can stress affect PCOS, and what can be done about it?
Chronic stress increases cortisol production, which can worsen hormonal imbalances and trigger insulin resistance—common issues in PCOS patients. Stress management techniques such as yoga, meditation, and spending time in nature can be beneficial.
FAQs About Natural Remedies for PCOS
1. Can PCOS be completely cured with natural remedies? PCOS cannot be completely cured, but natural remedies can help manage symptoms and improve overall quality of life.
2. How long does it take to see improvements with diet and lifestyle changes? Most women notice improvements within 3-6 months of consistent dietary and lifestyle adjustments.
3. Is weight loss necessary to manage PCOS symptoms? Weight loss is not mandatory but can significantly help in reducing symptoms. Even a small reduction in weight can be beneficial.
4. Can supplements replace dietary changes for PCOS? Supplements are supportive but cannot replace a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
5. Are there any foods to completely avoid with PCOS? Avoid sugary drinks, processed snacks, and refined carbohydrates as they can worsen insulin resistance.

Understanding Menstrual Disorders: Causes, Symptoms, and Solutions
Menstrual disorders are a group of conditions that interfere with the normal menstrual cycle, affecting millions of women worldwide, including in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These disorders can significantly impact daily life and overall well-being, yet many women suffer in silence due to stigma or lack of access to adequate healthcare.
If you are experiencing irregularities in your menstrual cycle or unusual symptoms, know that help is available. Let’s dive into the causes, symptoms, and solutions for menstrual disorders, and how online consultations through platforms like CongoRx can provide timely and effective support.
What Are Menstrual Disorders?
Menstrual disorders refer to a range of issues that deviate from a regular menstrual cycle. Common conditions include:
Dysmenorrhea: Painful periods with cramping.
Amenorrhea: Absence of menstruation for three months or longer.
Menorrhagia: Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding.
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS): Physical and emotional symptoms occurring before menstruation.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): A hormonal disorder affecting ovulation and menstrual cycles.
Irregular Periods: Unpredictable cycle lengths.
These disorders often stem from underlying health issues, hormonal imbalances, or external factors like stress and lifestyle.
Causes of Menstrual Disorders
Several factors contribute to menstrual disorders, such as:
Hormonal Imbalances: Fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels can disrupt the cycle.
Medical Conditions: PCOS, thyroid disorders, and uterine fibroids.
Stress and Lifestyle: High stress levels, poor diet, and lack of exercise.
Infections: Untreated pelvic infections are a leading cause in regions like Congo, where access to timely healthcare is sometimes limited.
Addressing these causes often requires a multidisciplinary approach, including lifestyle changes and medical interventions.

Symptoms to Watch For
While menstrual symptoms vary widely, it’s essential to recognize warning signs that may require medical attention:
Excessively heavy bleeding or passing large clots.
Severe pelvic pain or cramping.
Irregular cycles lasting less than 21 days or more than 35 days.
Spotting or bleeding between periods.
Chronic fatigue, dizziness, or anemia.
If you or someone you know in Congo is experiencing these symptoms, seeking professional guidance is crucial.
Managing Menstrual Disorders
Lifestyle Adjustments:
Maintain a balanced diet rich in iron and vitamins.
Engage in regular physical activity to regulate hormones.
Practice stress management techniques, like yoga or meditation.
Medical Treatments:
Hormonal therapies such as birth control pills or IUDs.
Medications for pain relief and symptom control.
Surgical interventions for conditions like fibroids or endometriosis.
Online Consultation Services: Access to healthcare is a challenge in many parts of Congo. Platforms like CongoRx offer online consultations with gynecologists and specialists, ensuring timely diagnosis and treatment from the comfort of your home.
Why Addressing Menstrual Disorders Matters
In countries like Congo, cultural stigmas around menstruation often deter women from seeking help. Education and accessible healthcare can transform this narrative. With services like CongoRx, women can connect with trusted doctors for compassionate and confidential care, ensuring they don't face these challenges alone.
Take the First Step with CongoRx
Living with menstrual disorders can be challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you’re dealing with painful cramps, irregular cycles, or suspect an underlying condition, timely consultation with a healthcare professional can make a difference.
Visit CongoRx today to book an online consultation and start your journey toward better health. Empower yourself to take charge of your menstrual health—because every woman deserves care and understanding.

What are the Causes of Late Periods? A period is a natural part of a woman's life, and its arrival, or lack thereof, can be a source of curiosity or concern. While a late period might send your mind racing to pregnancy tests, there are numerous reasons why your period might be behind schedule. Let's discuss the world of menstrual cycles and explore the top causes of late periods.
Pregnancy: The Obvious One
We can't ignore the most common reason for a missed period – pregnancy. If you're sexually active and haven't used contraception, a late period could be the first sign of a bun in the oven. However, it's important to note that pregnancy tests might not be conclusive in the very early stages. For accurate results, wait at least a week after a missed period before taking a test. You can also visit or take an online consultation with our specialist doctor Geetanjali Thakur , the best Gynecologist in Karnal.
Hormonal Harmony: When Things Get Out of Sync
Our bodies are like intricate orchestras, and hormones play the lead role in regulating our menstrual cycles. When these hormones get out of sync, it can lead to a late period or even missed periods altogether. Here are some common hormonal culprits:
● Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): PCOS is a hormonal imbalance that affects ovulation, leading to irregular periods or their absence.
● Thyroid Issues: An overactive or underactive thyroid can disrupt hormone production, impacting your cycle.
● Birth Control: Starting, stopping, or switching birth control methods can disrupt your cycle for a few months as your body adjusts to the hormonal changes.
● Perimenopause: As you approach menopause, your estrogen levels naturally decline, leading to irregular periods or their absence.
Lifestyle Choices: Big Impact on Small Cycles
Our daily habits can significantly impact our menstrual health. Here's how some lifestyle choices can cause a late period:
● Stress: Chronic stress wreaks havoc on our hormones, including those regulating periods.
● Weight Fluctuations: Dramatic weight loss or gain can disrupt ovulation and lead to irregular periods.
● Excessive Exercise: While exercise is great for overall health, excessive workouts can put stress on your body and cause missed periods.
● Diet: Crash diets or restrictive eating habits can deprive your body of essential nutrients needed for a regular cycle.
Medical Conditions: When Other Factors Come into Play
Certain medical conditions can also affect your menstrual cycle and you should search Gynecologist dr near me and get the best solution, here are a few examples:
● Chronic illnesses: Conditions like diabetes, celiac disease, and autoimmune diseases can disrupt hormone regulation and lead to irregular periods.
● Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID): This infection of the reproductive organs can cause irregular periods.
● Uterine fibroids: These benign tumors in the uterus can sometimes cause heavy or irregular periods.
When to See a Doctor
While a late period is sometimes nothing to worry about, there are situations where it's best to consult a Gynecologist near you. Here are some red flags:
● You miss multiple periods in a row (especially if you're not pregnant or breastfeeding).
● Your periods are unusually heavy or painful.
● You experience abnormal vaginal bleeding.
● You have sudden weight loss or gain.
● You suspect you might have an underlying medical condition.
Taking Charge of Your Cycle
Understanding your menstrual cycle and its potential disruptions empowers you to make informed choices about your health. Here are some tips for keeping your cycle on track:
● Maintain a healthy weight.
● Eat a balanced diet.
● Manage stress effectively.
● Exercise regularly, but don't overdo it.
● Track your periods using a calendar or app.
● Talk openly with your doctor about any concerns.
Remember, a late period doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong. However, if you're concerned, don't hesitate to consult a Gynecologist near me. They can help you determine the cause and recommend the best course of action.

Honestly I was rooting for richard and dougs to stay together. And now that they have a baby coming, so excited for them!
Me too! I had really thought that Dougs was pregnant a few months back when she was on a hiatus from Instagram, but then she came back and wasn't pregnant. But I think maybe that hiatus was when she was diagnosed with PCOS, so she was taking time to learn about it and to adjust her lifestyle to the illness. But honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they had been trying to start a family for a while now, and I'm just so happy it's coming to fruition for them 🥹

What Causes Adult Acne and How Can It Be Treated Effectively?

Acne isn't just a teenage problem—it can persist or even start in adulthood, often leading to frustration and a search for effective solutions. If you're dealing with persistent breakouts in your 20s, 30s, 40s, or beyond, you're not alone. Understanding the underlying causes of adult acne and exploring treatment options is the first step toward achieving clearer skin.
Common Causes of Adult Acne
1. Hormonal Imbalance
One of the primary causes of adult acne is hormonal fluctuation. This is especially common in women due to menstrual cycles, pregnancy, menopause, or conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Excess androgens can increase oil production, leading to clogged pores and breakouts.
2. Stress
Chronic stress triggers the release of cortisol, a hormone that can lead to increased oil production in the skin. This can result in inflammation and acne flare-ups, particularly along the jawline and cheeks.
3. Diet and Lifestyle
Foods with a high glycaemic index—such as sugar, white bread, and processed snacks—can spike insulin levels, leading to increased sebum production. Dairy has also been linked to acne in some individuals.
4. Skincare Products and Makeup
Using comedogenic (pore-clogging) products can contribute to breakouts. It's important to choose skincare and cosmetic products labeled “non-comedogenic” and suitable for acne-prone skin.
5. Poor Skin Hygiene or Overcleansing
While poor hygiene can cause acne, excessive cleansing or using harsh products can also strip the skin of natural oils and lead to irritation, which exacerbates acne.
6. Underlying Health Conditions
Sometimes, acne may signal an internal health imbalance such as thyroid disorders, insulin resistance, or digestive issues.
Effective Treatments for Adult Acne
1. Topical Treatments
Retinoids: Help unclog pores and promote cell turnover.
Benzoyl Peroxide: Kills acne-causing bacteria.
Salicylic Acid: Exfoliates and reduces inflammation.
2. Oral Medications
Antibiotics: Reduce bacteria and inflammation.
Oral Contraceptives or Anti-Androgens: Help regulate hormone levels in women.
Isotretinoin: A powerful option for severe or resistant acne.
3. Clinical Treatments
Chemical Peels: Help remove dead skin and improve skin texture.
Laser Therapy: Targets acne-causing bacteria and reduces oil production.
HydraFacial: Deeply cleanses and hydrates acne-prone skin.
4. Lifestyle Adjustments
Maintain a balanced diet rich in antioxidants.
Manage stress through yoga, meditation, or regular exercise.
Stay hydrated and get enough sleep.
When Should You See a Specialist?
If over-the-counter treatments aren’t working, it’s time to consult a skincare professional. Adult acne can be stubborn, but with the right guidance and advanced treatments, long-lasting results are achievable.
Clearer Skin Starts at EpicDermis Clinic, Oxshott

The Role of a Nutritionist for Weight Loss: Expert Guidance for Lasting Results
Embarking on a weight loss journey without a good dietitian for weight loss can be overwhelming. Especially with the abundance of conflicting information, fad diets and quick-fix solutions available today. The best nutritionists for weight loss can help you develop a sustainable weight loss plan, tailored to your unique body type, metabolism, lifestyle and dietary preferences.
Whether you are struggling with a slow metabolism, emotional eating or a medical condition affecting weight loss, a personalised, science-backed approach is the key to achieving lasting results.
Personalised Nutrition Plans
One of the biggest advantages of consulting a dietitian for weight loss is receiving a customised meal plan based on your health status, lifestyle and weight loss goals.
Unlike generic diet charts available online, the best nutritionists for weight loss consider:
Your metabolism and body composition: Understanding how your body processes food helps determine optimal calorie intake and macronutrient distribution.
Your dietary preferences: Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant or gluten-sensitive, a customised meal plan ensures variety and balance.
Existing medical conditions: Conditions like hypothyroidism, diabetes, PCOS and insulin resistance require special dietary modifications for effective weight management.
Lifestyle factors: A dietitian tailors your plan based on work schedules, physical activity levels and stress management techniques.
This individualised approach ensures you lose weight without depriving yourself and makes the process enjoyable and easy to sustain.
Education on Balanced Eating
Many people struggle with weight loss due to misconceptions about food, portion sizes and nutrient balance. A dietitian for weight loss provides valuable education on:
Macronutrient balance: Understanding the role of proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates in weight loss and satiety.
Portion control: Learning how to listen to hunger cues and avoid overeating.
Healthy swaps: Replacing processed and high-calorie foods with nutrient-dense alternatives for better metabolism and energy levels.
Meal timing: Establishing regular eating patterns to prevent cravings and metabolic slowdowns.
The best nutritionists for weight loss don’t just provide a meal plan – they teach lifelong healthy eating habits.
Behavioural Support and Accountability
Changing eating habits goes beyond choosing healthy foods – it involves addressing emotional triggers, cravings and lifestyle habits that contribute to weight gain. A dietitian for weight loss provides ongoing support and accountability to help you:
Recognise emotional eating patterns and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Improve your relationship with food by eliminating guilt and restrictive behaviours.
Set realistic weight loss goals and track progress effectively.
Stay motivated through regular check-ins, feedback and adjustments to your plan.
With expert guidance and encouragement, you are more likely to stay committed to your weight loss journey and achieve long-term success.
Long-Term Weight Management
Weight loss is not just about losing kilos – it is about maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the long run. Many people experience weight fluctuations after crash dieting or extreme fitness regimens, but the best nutritionists for weight loss ensure steady and sustainable progress.
Prevent yo-yo dieting: By focusing on gradual weight loss, a dietitian helps prevent rapid regain.
Optimise metabolism: Ensuring a balanced intake of essential nutrients keeps metabolism active and efficient.
Encourage habit-building: Small, consistent changes lead to permanent lifestyle improvements.
Adapt to life changes: A long-term weight management strategy evolves with your changing lifestyle, stress levels and fitness goals.
Finding the Best Nutritionist for Weight Loss
If you are searching for the best nutritionist for weight loss, consider their qualifications, approach and experience. A competent nutritionist will:

Hormonal Acne Causes, Symptoms & Dermatologist-Recommended Treatments

Hormonal acne is more than just a skin issue—it’s a reflection of internal hormonal imbalances. Common in teenagers and adult women, this type of acne is caused by fluctuating levels of androgens, estrogen, and progesterone. It typically appears as painful, cystic breakouts on the jawline, chin, and lower cheeks, often worsening around menstruation, pregnancy, or during conditions like PCOS.
At FMS Skin & Hair Clinics, expert dermatologists take a comprehensive approach to hormonal acne. Treatments include oral medications (birth control pills, anti-androgens), topical retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid. For advanced cases, in-clinic procedures like chemical peels, carbon laser toning, microneedling with PRP, and intralesional injections are available. The clinic also emphasizes lifestyle changes—like dietary adjustments, stress management, and hydration—for long-term acne control.

Beyond the Struggles: Finding Peace and Strength with PCOS

It’s been a week since my check-up, and turns out my PCOS symptoms are back. 😢
There are so many things I need to adjust, but the first step is being kinder to myself. I’ve got to remind myself that it’s okay to feel the way I feel, and I don’t have to push through everything all the time.
Hormonal mood swings are real. Hindi lang siya arte or toyo. It’s REAL, and it hits hard. There are days when all I do is overthink and cry. Then I stop.. not because I’ve processed it but because I’m too tired. I just sit there, staring into space, trying to read something to distract myself. And somehow, I still end up crying over words that aren’t even sad. 🤦🏻♀️ It’s like my emotions are stuck on high, and I can’t turn them down.
Second is diet and exercise.
It’s really hard for me to lose weight because of PCOS. I also have insulin resistance, which means my body doesn’t break down sugar properly. 😰Instead of using it for energy, it stores it as fat. So kahit hindi ako kumain ng marami, it still feels like I gain weight easily. It’s frustrating, but I’m trying to be patient and find what works for me.
And some would say, “Mag-diet ka nga, mag-exercise ka kasi.”
And yes, I do that too! I try. I move. I make changes. Pero unlike you, or most people, it’s really hard for me to lose weight. Yes, lifestyle changes are important, but the results don’t come as easily for someone like me.
It’s not just about discipline. It’s a whole different battle with my body and hormones. 💁🏻♀️
Third is managing stress.
It’s not as easy as it sounds lalo na sa BPO industry. Working night shifts, handling chats all day, meeting targets.. it can get overwhelming. And after my shift, stress from home, family, relationships or just life in general adds up.
Parang wala nang pahinga.🙎🏻♀️
But I’m slowly learning that I need to protect my peace. Whether it’s taking 10 minutes to breathe, journaling my thoughts, walking my dog (Zero, bibi) or letting myself cry when I need to. Small things, but they really make a difference. Stress will always be there, but I’m trying my best not to let it control me.
And lastly (though I could list so many more),
I need to protect my peace and mental health.
I’m learning not to let other people’s opinions about my body define me.. especially those who don’t know what it’s like to live with PCOS. Their words don’t carry the weight of my experience, and I won’t let them shape how I see myself.🤞🏻
I am beautiful.👸🏻
I have to stop being so hard on myself and stop comparing myself to others. There are so many things I can offer, not just in romantic relationships, but with my friends, my family, and most importantly, with myself.
And through all of this, I don’t want to lose my spiritual connection with God. It keeps me grounded. I’m reminding myself to always be kind and understanding, to speak gently and not just to others, but to myself too. ❤️🩹
Aside from that, im also learning to adjust my temper, to build healthy boundaries, and to choose my battles. And just like my favorite quote by Marcus Aurelius from Meditations says: “You always have the option of having no opinion.”
