Arts & Crafts Online Courses: Create Masterpieces from Home
In today's fast-paced digital world, pursuing creativity from the comfort of your home has never been easier. Arts and crafts online courses offer a unique opportunity to explore various forms of art, from traditional painting to modern resin art. With a wide range of topics and formats available, anyone can unlock their artistic potential without stepping out of their home. Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting, these courses are tailored to meet the needs of all skill levels. In this guide, we will explore how arts and crafts online courses can help you create masterpieces from home.
Why Choose Arts and Crafts Online Courses?
Arts and crafts online courses provide the flexibility that traditional in-person courses often cannot. With a few clicks, you can access a vast array of tutorials, lectures, and workshops led by professional artists. These courses cater to various art forms, including painting, drawing, embroidery, pottery, and more. Additionally, specialized courses like resin art courses online are gaining popularity due to the rise in DIY and creative projects. Online platforms allow you to work at your own pace, giving you the freedom to create and learn whenever it suits your schedule.
Flexibility in Learning
The most significant advantage of arts and crafts online courses is the flexibility they offer. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent, a full-time professional, or a student, these courses fit into your schedule. You can pause, rewind, or revisit lessons at your convenience. This flexibility makes it easy to manage learning new skills while juggling other responsibilities.
Access to Expert Instructors
Online courses offer access to professional instructors who are experts in their field. Whether you're interested in professional craft courses or something more specific like a resin online course, these instructors guide you through each step, providing personalized feedback. Learning from experts elevates the quality of your work and helps you refine your skills.
What are Resin Art Courses Online?
Resin art is one of the most exciting and versatile forms of modern art. A resin art course online teaches you how to work with resin—a synthetic polymer used to create beautiful, glossy artworks. These courses usually cover everything from the basics, like mixing resin and pigments, to advanced techniques such as creating intricate designs. Resin art can be used to create a variety of items, including coasters, trays, paintings, and jewelry.
Why Take Resin Art Classes Online?
The growing popularity of resin art has led to an increase in resin art classes online. These classes offer specialized instruction on handling and working with resin safely. Instructors often provide detailed guides on mixing resin, choosing the right pigments, and using molds to create functional or decorative pieces. Whether you're looking to start a new hobby or add to your existing art skills, taking a resin online course is a great way to expand your creative capabilities.
Advantages of Art and Craft Online Classes
Learn at Your Own Pace
One of the standout benefits of art and craft online classes is that you can learn at your own pace. Traditional art classes often follow a strict schedule, making it difficult to balance other commitments. However, online courses allow you to set your learning speed, giving you the time to absorb the material fully. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, online courses give you the time and space to develop your skills without pressure.
Variety of Courses
Arts and crafts online courses cater to a wide range of artistic disciplines. Whether you want to try your hand at pottery, knitting, paper crafts, or resin art, there are specialized courses available. Furthermore, many platforms offer certificate courses for those looking to gain formal recognition. If you are interested in gaining credentials, you can enroll in art and craft certificate courses online, which often provide a professional qualification upon completion.
Affordable Learning
Traditional art classes can be expensive, but arts and crafts online courses are often more affordable. Many platforms offer free courses, while premium options provide in-depth learning at a fraction of the cost of in-person classes. This makes it easier for people on a budget to explore their artistic passions without breaking the bank.
Arts and Crafts Online Courses for Adults
Many adults often hesitate to engage in artistic activities due to the misconception that arts and crafts are only for children. However, arts and crafts online courses for adults are becoming increasingly popular. These courses provide the tools and techniques needed for adults to engage in fulfilling and productive creative projects. Whether you're looking to start a new hobby, de-stress, or develop a new skill, online courses cater to adult learners of all skill levels.
Therapeutic Benefits
Engaging in creative activities like arts and crafts can have significant mental health benefits. For adults, art is not just a hobby—it’s a form of therapy. Studies have shown that engaging in artistic pursuits can reduce stress, increase mindfulness, and improve emotional well-being. Online courses offer a way to explore creativity from home, making it easy to integrate art into your daily routine.
Professional Craft Courses
If you're serious about turning your passion for crafting into a profession, there are also professional craft courses available online. These courses go beyond basic tutorials and provide advanced instruction in areas such as textile design, jewelry making, and more. Many of these courses also offer certification, which can be beneficial for those looking to start a craft-related business or offer professional services.
Certification and Recognition
For those looking to take their skills to a professional level, art and craft certificate courses online offer a structured learning path. These courses often come with assignments, projects, and exams that must be completed to earn a certificate. Having a certification can be a valuable asset, especially if you’re looking to teach art or sell your crafts professionally. Many platforms offer these courses at affordable prices, making it accessible for anyone looking to gain formal recognition for their artistic talents.
Boost Your Resume
Completing arts and crafts online courses can also enhance your resume, particularly if you’re applying for creative roles. Certification from a recognized platform adds credibility to your skills, making it easier for potential employers or clients to trust your expertise.
How to Choose the Right Course
Choosing the right arts and crafts online courses can be overwhelming with so many options available. Here are some tips to help you select the right course for your needs:
Define Your Goals
Before enrolling in any course, take a moment to define what you hope to achieve. Are you looking to learn a new hobby, improve your existing skills, or turn your passion into a profession? Understanding your goals will help you choose the right course, whether it's a resin art course online or a broader art and craft online class.
Research the Instructor
The quality of the instructor can make or break your learning experience. Look for courses taught by professionals who have extensive experience in the field. Read reviews and testimonials from previous students to get an idea of the instructor’s teaching style and effectiveness.
Course Structure
Make sure the course structure aligns with your learning preferences. Some arts and crafts online courses are self-paced, while others follow a set schedule. Decide whether you prefer live classes with real-time interaction or pre-recorded lessons that you can watch at your convenience.
Getting Started with Your First Online Course
Ready to embark on your artistic journey? Enrolling in arts and crafts online courses is simple and only takes a few steps.
Choose Your Platform: There are several platforms like Skillshare, Udemy, and Coursera that offer arts and crafts online courses. Compare the options and select the platform that suits your budget and needs.
Sign Up for a Course: Once you’ve chosen your platform, browse through the available courses. Look for classes that cater to your skill level, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced artist.

Crafting a Personality and Capitalising on it

How do we craft a personality that is socially charming yet true to our roots?
How do we mingle and meet new people without feeling awkward or shy about it?
How do we not lose ourselves while following all these blah blah etiquette rules?
Welcome to part 2 of my Chic Girl Mentality series. 🤍
Today, we will focus on crafting a personality that is still you but better.
First, let’s talk about people in social settings. You’ll meet people who are confident, secure and socially charming. You’ll meet quiet people who may be equally socially charming or just very shy and conscious. You’ll meet the braggers and the doe-eyed followers. There’s a lot of different types of people in the world and knowing how to gracefully navigate most of them is nothing but a learned art.
People, regardless of their bank balance, are insecure of what they do not have yet. This can be looks, money, experience, lifestyle, and so on. How do we capitalise on this without exploiting or manipulating anyone?
By knowing how to tell a story.
That doesn’t mean that you need to become a public speaker or politician, it just means that you need to be able to craft intriguing stories about yourself, using your own life and experiences, to “sell” an interesting version of you socially. We’re all interesting people but only a few of us know how to say that we’re interesting without saying that we’re interesting.
Experience
People, even those with money, will always be more attracted to those who have experiences, especially, unique ones. Whether it’s travelling to exotic locations or trying new culinary destinations, or wearing unknown designers, knowing obscure artists or writers, or being at the top of your industry… experience is the most important thing to cultivate first. You already have experience. If you went to school, high school, college, joined clubs, your first job, any travelling, etc - these are all experiences.
Make a list of 5 of the most interesting experiences you think you have.
Hobbies and interests
Have a couple of lowkey hobbies that you feel enthusiastic about. Whether it’s doing some charity work on Sundays, or cooking, or pottery, whatever it is, keeping a hobby is healthy.
There should be something to you that an acquaintance can remark about: “CSB? Oh yes, I’ve heard that she’s a great dancer.”
Vulnerabilities
Certain vulnerabilities must never, ever be shared. It will 100% be used either as gossip or blackmail.
However, coming across as someone with no weaknesses is rather untrustworthy- it makes the other person feel that you’re clearly hiding something.
Make a list of vulnerabilities that are small and you don’t mind sharing. These should be vulnerabilities that will never ruin your reputation in any form but can be used as a form of bonding with empathy.
And make a list of hard core vulnerabilities you know you should never share with anyone. Keep it memorised rather than written down.
Experience + Hobbies or Interests + Safe Vulnerabilities = Personality
Storytelling
Now that you have some experience, hobbies, interests, and your “safe” vulnerabilities sorted even if it’s limited - what will make it stand out is the art of storytelling. Some storytellers can make even the most mundane experiences sound magical - it’s all in the words and delivery. There’s a reason why every Holy Book is a story, packed with lessons and morals - it’s impactful, easy to remember and recall and relatable. Craft your experiences into stories. Use those 5 experiences that you noted down and start writing them down as stories.
Take up an online storytelling class or watch videos. Start honing this skill by writing and reading good literature.
Refine your 5 experiences further. Run it through chatGPT, say them out loud and most importantly- start testing them out on people. See what makes them chuckle and what doesn’t; what makes them empathise and what doesn’t.
A famous comedian whose name I can’t remember does the same thing. He creates his set. He goes to a small pub and tries it out on the audience there. And the first set is always the first. The audience may not laugh at his jokes, they might boo him or sometimes, he might get a laugh out of them. But every time, he goes home and refines his set further. Once his set is fully refined, and he accomplishes his goal of the audience peeling with laughter at every joke, that’s when he goes on national TV / on tour etc etc.
The most important thing is to craft your stories of your experiences in a way that it delivers the value you want the person to remember about you.
For instance, if I want to be seen as creative and innovative, I won’t tell the person in front of me, “oh, I’m soo innovative and creative!”
Rather I will weave that into a story. “When I was 24, at my first job in the advertising space, we were losing clients left and right. And one weekend, I was on a trek on the mountains - it’s one of my hobbies - this idea hit me, and I suddenly knew exactly how to get our clients back. My team was hesitant about my idea, and we got a lot of pushback, but we went ahead. The night before my launch I was so nervous, I got hardly sleep. And you won’t believe it, but the idea worked! The response was fantastic.”
Let the other person come to the conclusion of you being innovative and creative. Human beings love to deduce things and jump to conclusions and provided you set the context the right way, you should be able to project the version of you that is the best part of you.
Vocabulary
A sign of a good education- even if you don’t have it - is a diverse vocabulary. I’ve always had a little more respect and awe for those who are articulate, can speak smoothly and speak confidently. I’ve noticed that my American friends, for instance, tend to talk fast with lots of filler words, and sentences tend to end with a pitch up instead of down, which to me indicates hesitation or indecision. Speaking slower, ending your sentences with pitch going down to indicate a full stop rather than up makes you seem like a refined speaker even if your subject is utterly stupid.
Body language and mannerisms, social interaction
Watch old classic Hollywood movies to really understand this - especially romantic ones. Choose ones with a femme fatale or siren-like female lead, and watch how she enraptures the male lead or the audience around her.
A combination of fantastic storytelling and body language will take you places beyond your dreams. Some of the biggest frauds, scammers, politicians, criminals are also some of the best storytellers. Humans are attracted to stories, we pick up body language intuitively, we can sense when someone is nervous or isn’t. Unfortunately the world isn’t a kind place and will not necessarily help you out of your shyness- in fact, that might just make you the best target for exploitation.
Storytelling + Vocabulary + Body Language = Your Best Personality

Pick a Card
What should your new hobbies be? This one is a little all over the place, but it’s just basically some new hobby ideas. If these already are your hobbies, then just take it as encouragement to keep going.

Pile 1-> 2-> 3->4
Pile 1 I'm seeing that you should try hobbies that make you feel rich basically lol. I’m seeing sports like tennis and golf, you’d do really good with sports that are played with an object like a racket or club. Some of you could be more introverted or just homebodies. You’re being encouraged to explore new things even if you’re not sure you would like it. It’s part of the journey. I also get crocheting or some form of needlework. Thrifting as well some of you could be interested in doing clothing or furniture flips you’re being reminded that you might not always feel up to it but it’s important to stick to it. A lot of you could work a lot or are in school and need to find balance. I’m getting that these hobbies will help lift your vibration and doing so you’ll be able to easily manifest abundance in your life. So could be road trips or just seeing new places, countries cities whatever. Pile Two *TW: mention of trauma* some of you could have childhood traumas or just traumas in general. You guys need to connect to and heal your inner child. Go back to when you were young and think of all the things you loved as a child. I empathize with you because I feel such deep sadness. You can be hard on yourself. You need to spoil yourself sometimes. Of course you have to be responsible but if you feel for an extra slice of cake or something, it’s OK to treat yourself sometimes. you are, however, being reminded to find balance. This is key! You don’t have to restrict yourself to the extreme, but you also can’t overindulge. Some other hobbies for you could be meditating, shopping/window shopping, gardening, art /craft work, sewing. I think you’ll be really good with plant. Fishing for some of you. Another one is volunteering. Pile 3 Some of you could have walked away from a toxic relationship. you could enjoy doing make up/hair/ nails, going to the gym working on your Pinterest boards. Any kind of self improvement. You could play an instrument or sing. Something music related. Wind instruments in particular. Cooking as well lastly, you could also learn astrology or astronomy or just some form of science. Pile 4 You guys probably need to start manifesting especially in matters of finance. Some of you may want to dabble into divination. Working with Crystals, Crystal balls, candles, spell work, etc. you will need to do research on these things and don’t be afraid to ask for help whether it’s through prayer or just asking in some group online. You could be psychic I’m picking up clairvoyance in particular, but it could be any one of them. You could also do root work and things of that nature. Other hobbies, I’m picking up on are painting ( or arts in general). Writing for some of you. You guys should go out more. Especially in places of creativity so art classes, dance classes, poetry nights things where you’re in groups. You could enter a connection with a soulmate or meet your soul family this way. Beware of cults or toxic energy ( felt urged to say that). Stick to what’s pure.

Chloe has a crush but it's still oblivious to it, pinning Chloe, loser!chloe, reader just loves shinning, before the storm era. the pics it's just for the aesthetic, not necesarily represent reader's skintone. i MIGHT make this into a multi part thing
The first time Chloe noticed, she had been annoyed. More like pissed off. Her favorite t-shirt ever, with chunks of glitter that, no matter what she did, wouldn't wash off.
She didn't understand where it had come at first, because she wasn't the arts and crafts type. Heck, she didn't even though there had ever been a particle of glitter on her house since she had been around 8 years old.
And then, she had gone to school still annoyed because she really did want to wear that t-shirt that day, and she had sat down to hang out under a tree with the girl, her closest-thing-she-had-to-a-friend, when she spots it.
She was sparkling. Fucking sparkling when the sunlight hit the skin of her arms, neck and chest (although she mentally kicked herself for looking in that direction in the first place, because yeah, she did have a nice chest and looked real nice in that low neck she had picked today-ugh she did not mean it that way, she was just envious, maybe- but that didn't mean she had to ruin whatever they had for staring at her chest).
She was forgetting the point. The point was, her friend was sparkling like those vampires from that horrible movie. What was it again? Twilight?
Yeah, that was right. Twilight.
Not that she had seen that shit, of course. Only the memes online. And maybe the images of the pretty actress who played Alice, but that was only to get inspiration for her hairstyle.
The point was. Her friend had fucking glitter all over her skin. Thinner than the one from arts and craft. And it looked pretty similar to the one stuck on her beloved t-shirt.
"Dude, are you in the process of becoming a fricking faerie or what? why do you shine?"
The girl looked confused for a moment and made a funny expression with her mouth -that of course didn't make Chloe notice the sparkle also present on her pretty lips, surely the result of lip gloss- until she looked down at her hands and gasped.
"Oh, this? body glitter, dude." She answered, moving her hand more so it received more sunlight and moved it so Chloe could see the little sparkly dots.
"Why would you want to wear body glitter in the first place?"
"Why not wear body glitter, dude. That's the real question" She said in that serious tone she used when they were teasing each other, then elaborated. "Dunno, my mom bought it for me the other day, I tried it out and it's addicting. I put on a tiny bit and then I loved it so much I put more. Now it doesn't wash off. This is all from yesterday"
Yesterday. That made Chloe connect the dots. She looked over the clothes the girl was wearing and noticed that, just like her shirt, they were full of glitter. Which only meant that the dammed body glitter did not, in fact, stayed in the body but transferred to clothes. And they sat together in every class they shared - when Chloe cared enough to show up to classes, that is- so maybe that was the moment when it had gone into Chloe's clothes.
(Or maybe it had been when she had said goodbye with a small hug and a kiss to Chloe's cheek last night, but she would rather not think of that to avoid becoming a stuttering mess like yesterday. Ugh, she hated feeling embarrassed.)
"So it was you" Her tone was accusatory, and a gasp left her lips. "You ruined my shirt, with glitter. Dude. I could have worn it at least two more times before I needed to wash it but now because of you I had to do the laundry this morning"
The girl gasped as well, and used one of her hands to cover her mouth as small giggles started to leave her lips. "No way."
"Yes way, it had to be you. Who else would wear body glitter in this hellhole aside from you?"
That made the other girl uncover her mouth, her giggles turning into full laugher. "Dude, I am so sorry. I had no idea it would transfer to you"
The apology didn't sound that serious, because after all she was laughing. But the tone of her voice and the sound of her laugh made her less irritated, she didn't understand why.
"Whatever, you owe me something. I was trying to rescue my poor shirt from the crawls of your glitter and since my mom saw me washing I had to do the whole laundry. Precious time I could have used to sleep"
"How about a donut? The chocolate ones you like" She offered, now done laughing but a smile still present in her face.
And hey, who was Chloe to refuse a donut? -or that smile?-.
"Make it two" She said, with a pout on her face.
"Deal" The other girl smiled and brought Chloe to a side hug.
Chloe would only notice that the hug, which hadn't made her flustered for no reason, nah, not at all, had made that another one of her dear band shirts was covered in the body glitter late that night, after parting paths. But somehow, this second time it didn't irritated her as much as the first time.
She couldn't figure out why.
a/n: hi, so this is my first time ever posting a fic, that is CRAZY. as i mentioned early i might make this into a small series, but it depends of how much free time i have which it's not a lot so we'll see

Note
I saw a post and you mentioned college and so while I'm not ready for college yet I'm still thinking about my options. So is college worth it? Like you don't need to go to college to be an amazing artist now a days. I really wanna be a professional artist but I honestly don't if college is worth with its cons. (Btw your art always makes me emotional and happy. I really appreciate you and your dedication)
I mean, if you can afford it, go for it. Every academy is different, and they definetely have their own issue. But I can't deny that I surely grown a lot. I grown the most during those years. But that s also cause I put all myself in it. Plus I befriended a lot of cool people. Art school folks are always the best folks. I have no idea how it is in the US, but half of our classes were theorical(?) classes. I did a lot of philosophy, antrophology, psychology, art hystory, etc... these were all subject I was also interested with so I also greatly appreciated what I was learning.
BUT!
If you plan on going on a "visual arts" school, don't expect to do cartoon illustration ahah.
What I did was contemporary art. It's less drawing and more crafting. I liked it, it completely changed how I viewd art and what I thought it was. It was kind of revolutionary. But it's not for everyone.
So be sure to understand how they teach art wherever you wanna go.
I went to art school more for the experiemce and vibes. And I surely had much more fun than what I would had as a selftaught. (I like being around people, so I liked the class for the friends and conversation about art I would have)
But If it's too expensive, you can perfectly be selftaught for what you find online. You might have to follow multiple classes.
I wanted to go to a more cartoon oriented school, but even if I won a couple of scholarships, they werent enough to sustain me all 3 years. So i went to the public school. I learned what they didn t teach me online and by practicing a lot.

au where marinette's parents own a small, struggling, but community-loved bakery outside of paris. she works after school and on weekends since her parents can't currently afford to hire any other employees, but she enjoys getting to know everyone in her neighborhood and uses her tip money to fund her sewing projects.
as the end of her junior high days approach, marinette is encouraged by her parents to apply to her dream high school, françoise dupont lycée of the arts, as a fashion student. she doesn't expect to actually get accepted, but knows her parents are right when they say there's no hurt in trying. after submitting her online store portfolio, where she does commissions and launches small projects like accessories, she receives feedback that the school board was beyond impressed with her work and would like to offer her a full-ride scholarship.
although it's hard for her to part from her parents for the first time in her life, they refuse to let her turn down the opportunity and practically pack her bags for her. after a very long and painful goodbye with lots of promises to call every single day, marinette leaves for paris.
she meets alya, her roommate and first friend at her new school. she's the daughter of a successful chef and is a promising journalist and creative writing student, she and marinette share many of their core subjects not relating to their majors.
marinette also meets chloé, the daughter of the mayor of france and alya's life-long enemy. the two go way back, with alya's mother being an old friend of chloe's father and having worked at his hotel restaurant before. the hate each other, and by association, chloé hates marinette — especially after finding out marinette is a fellow fashion major whose work scored much higher than her own.
then she meets adrien. adrien is a fellow fashion and modeling student who was eagerly accepted into the school despite his very late application. however, the principal was thrilled at the idea of having such a beloved model joining the student body, and didn't want to deal with chloé's threats of action if adrien was denied, so he was accepted with open arms.
adrien didn't exactly choose his majors, but rather just went along with what was expected of him. he already had a successful modeling career, so he took the classes despite there being little he didn't already know and have mastered. he was encouraged to join fashion classes as well, both by adults who assumed he was going to take after his father and by his best friend who wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.
adrien is easily impressed with just about every design marinette crafts and marinette admits it's a bit endearing the way adrien struggles to figure out where the sewing machine's on switch is. his father is equally impressed, if not even more so, and marinette is asked to become a paid intern upon winning a contest judged by gabriel agreste.
not to mention the kind old man she befriends, an older chinese man who owns a tea shop in petite asie. marinette admits to feeling a bit alienated without her mother, worried her classmates will look at her funny for cooking guangxi rice in the dorm kitchen or having late night gossip sessions on the phone in mandarin. he tells marinette she will always have a friend while in paris and that she's more connected to the city than she thinks.
eventually, marinette even finds herself befriending almost all of her classmates, and even one of her classmate's brothers. juleka couffaine is a modeling major and a fellow scholarship student, something she and marinette bond over. luka is just as sweet as his sister, and almost as quiet if you ignore his constant humming and guitar strumming.
he also applied to be a music major at françoise dupont, but was rejected. after a year of struggling and being bullied in public school, he dropped out to focus on working and supporting his family — taking some of the burden away from his single mother and making sure juleka never has to go without. throughout the course of their relationship, marinette is eventually able to discover the ridiculous reasons why luka wasn't accepted and encourages him to go back to school, as well as accept that he can't support his family if he doesn't let them support him as well (a lesson she also had to learn).
