I cannot resist an artist loft. Studio unit w/2ba in a converted 1924 industrial building in Salisbury, NC, 4,000 sq ft, $533k. Right now, it's an AirB&B. Comes fully furnished, including the art!
Tumblr media
Entrance to the brightly colored industrial loft. Look at the art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, this is lovely. Love the way the furniture is angled, and look at the rolling bookcase.
Tumblr media
I would not rent this out, I would live here.
Tumblr media
Look at this wonderful library. Love this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interesting angular kitchen. Refinished stick flooring, too.
Tumblr media
These doors open to a railing, so they cleverly put a swing inside.
Tumblr media
The listing says no bedrooms, but there are 4 bedroom areas. This is the primary suite. Very spacious.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Large ensuite. Love the timeworn walls, red pipes, and matching industrial style sink.
Tumblr media
They probably can't advertise bedrooms, b/c they're separated by curtains and don't have closets.
Tumblr media
This is a pull-out sofa bed in the library.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one's pretty cool b/c it's in the loft, or more accurately, a catwalk.
Tumblr media
Nice 2nd bath is a large shower room. The blocks take me back- I went to a very old school and the bathrooms had walls just like that.
Tumblr media
Has a laundry room.
Tumblr media
Below the loft there's a wonderful art studio with doors that open to let in fresh air and natural light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is actually the garage, but they have it set up as a glass studio- look at the 3 kilns! There's outdoor parking, but you can fit a car in here.
Tumblr media
They've also got a gallery set up in the garage.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above the art studio you have a big rooftop deck.
Tumblr media
View from the deck. You can see the parking lot.
Tumblr media
And, along the side of the building there are raised garden beds.
Tumblr media
The apt. for sale is Unit A-2.

I've had a bit of a struggle getting back to normal life after cancer treatment. I feel good for a few days, and then I crash. Had a really promising early week, but the last few days were not good. I think part of that was from feeling disorganized and hemmed in by piles of papers.
Today I was able to get moving and straighten up the studio.
I am still way behind on paperwork, as business items and receipts need to be addressed and I haven't been able to tackle any of it in months.
But art has to come first. Cleaning up the business piles meant putting important things forward and filing other things away out of sight where they don't feel oppressive.
I like a comfy clutter in my studio, but it has to be a manageable, organized space, or I can't function in it.
I feel a little less overwhelmed today!
Baby steps!
I hope everyone out there is doing their best! It's all we can do!
