you know something i don't like about modern culture (and i wonder to what extent the prevalence of dating apps has to do with it) is that you're, seemingly, not supposed to ask people you just meet in real life on a date anymore? you're supposed to ask them to see you individually to hang out, and you're not supposed to call it anything...? people act like declaring intent is impolite or something.

this absolutely sucks if you're a woman on the receiving end of this kind of thing all the time, from men you don't wanna see privately that way. i've felt so much guilt about it in my life. whether i say no or yes. i know i'm giving that man hope that it's a date, that i wanna go on a date with him if i agree to see him for coffee or whatever. but if i don't wanna go on this undeclared date, i have to reject the very concept of spending time with him at all, which feels SOOO much meaner and more personal, doesn't it? it feels like that to me. and if i do go, and i don't wanna go on another one (because i never enjoyed the it-pretty-much-being-a-date element of the time), it feels like i'm crushing his hopes after puffing them up just a little bit.

and it's like. "date" is not a dirty word. we have so many expectations nowadays around things. women used to sit around and wait for a man to propose to them, and it would be basically the only decision they could make in their life. not even really the choice to marry, but to whom they get married. and obviously marriage was very serious.

as courtship continued to develop into modern dating and boyfriend/girlfriend culture, it sort of decentralized the importance or marriage and valued getting to know someone you like romantically, with the implicit assumption that you're doing it with the attempt to better choose the 'right one' by spending quality time with them. decent enough. although even the words boyfriend and girlfriend are much more serious than they used to be. they did not always imply a serious commitment like they do today, especially if you're... basically, just not a kid anymore.

people have a certain amount of expectation of what anyone over 18 should do or want to do with a "partner"—like, if this were the 1940s, i would've had several "boyfriends" in my adult life, but i never called them that, and the modern sense of that word would not be accurate. if i went on a date or two and flirted with them, that'd be enough to say "yeah i went out with a boyfriend." i'm mostly indifferent to this change of vocabulary, but the point is i have no word to describe any of those guys that i just gave a chance, never felt much for, and didn't wanna keep seeing. not bad things; it's just experience.

and if we aren't bold enough to call things dates for the sake of the atmosphere not losing the low-stakes nature... it's like, no, it doesn't do that. it's just two people spending time with the elephant in the room. perhaps that makes it feel more relaxed if both people really are doing it with the same intent, let's-just-see-if-we-get-along, figuring out if you like someone you don't really know very well yet. testing it. but like. that can be a date. that's what a lot of dates are. when you meet the person on a dating app and just grab coffee without setting higher expectations, you wouldn't hesitate to call it a date. if it's that person from your college class, that's ruder or more presumptuous, somehow?

a date doesn't have to be a candlelit dinner with the violinist standing by. a date doesn't have to be high romance. a date doesn't have to end with a kiss or lead to a commitment, if things go decently. a date certainly doesn't have to result in two people having sex. a date can be nonchalant and friendly and just trying to discover if you have any chemistry with this person who piqued your interest. why is that NOT the initial expectation anymore? why is "date" a dirty word? why?

something i just realized about the sages (ignoring how frustrating to use i find the sages abilities overall) when they get their enigma stone they are like wow look at how much stronger i am now!! when its really just a ... clone of them, without the parts that make them interesting- the personality, and they "give" it to you (it doesnt feel like its really yours tho bc, unlike botw, its not intergrated into your moveset- which could have been solved by just adding them to another ability wheel- so it doesnt even feel like they are really yours) but ok i can see why its stronger even if i find it boring to just duplicate the character isntead of actually making their ability be more-

but then at the very end, they join you in the battle and .. dont even make use of it? what where the engima stones even for then? i guess you could bend over backwards and say well its bc their powers cant reach you all the way down there so they have to physical join you- BUT .. when they are right next to you .. shouldnt the connection to them be back anyway? so their clones should return shouldnt they? or is the entire arena just so surpressive of that power that it wouldnt work either way? then again ... what was its use then to get them to have those stones? like how ultra hand is supposedly the focus of the game but doesnt matter to the narrative at all?

(can you unsummon them when they are there?? i havent tried it but i dont think so ..)

like obviously it would be wayy too chaotic if all sages where there twice, especially together with all the ganondorf clones too- but it kinda .. once again... makes it feel meaningless that you even got them the stones? sure they only get to you when you do it but its really just again another check box with no substance, isnt it?

(... actually .. did anyone actually need the stones? aside from ganondorf getting that huge powerup somehow- like even the original sages and sonia and stuff, are you telling me she couldnt rewind ..................................... a tea cup, on her own? or i guess the only time sonia does anythign with her stone is when she gives its power to raurus laserbeam attack he never does again ... and the other sages arent shown to gain anything from it either?? are they?? what even would minerus ability have been bc she wasnt a -utterly useless- mech back then ... the shield she does doesnt seem unique to her either bc rauru literally does it too after sonia gets falcon-punched to death to block ganondorfs .. goo beam .... i mean i guess it doesnt matter anyway bc all we see them actually do is .. stand around and talk, sometimes "hurt" (dirty) sometimes not ... so whatever i guess?)

truly one of the best aspects of the lunter/witteclaw parallels is that the switcheroo of human luz luring "witch" hunter away is just SO on point with the themes of the story and philip's entire motivation as a villain. it's not a matter of humans VS witches, or religion VS paganism, but at the core of it lays the idea that anything that deviates from the norm needs to be extracted and destroyed. and in philip's time, that meant that witches needed to be eliminated.

but! that has changed, overtime. philip's world no longer holds that as the rule. not because the people who think like him no longer exist, but because the people who have been the target of discrimination and hatred have come together as a community and fought for their rights to live their lives to their fullest. and because of these, uh, "modern" ideas, luz fills the role of "evelyn" despite not being a witch herself, because she hits all the important bits: she's also the kind of pest philip would've considered a cancer for society all those years ago. and therefore, she manages to hit all the important story beats for her caleb, aka hunter: she's the one who triggers his first act of defiance against belos; she's the one who introduces flapjack to him; she's the one that takes hunter by the hand and leads him away from belos.

even then, her status as a human is impactful in the way belos treats her: he considers her an "equal", as much as that can mean. he uses this fact to manipulate and guilt-trip her. but that also means that he underestimates her, and that finally allows luz to put this putrid cycle to an end, therefore making luz and hunter effectively the last evelyn and caleb to graze the earth.

i really need to talk about this

i know it sounds bad or concerning but it's not. it's just that i literally have no one to talk about this and i couldn't really sleep because, what the helly.

this is going to be a super duper hyper mega rant/review/resume of one type of content i watched yesterday.

if this feels a little bit all over the place is because it is! not only because the story itself is soooo messy but also because i'm surviving with only 3 hours of sleep.

also, i was actually going to talk about the ending but realised that context is heavely needed so this is basically the whole story. so spoilers ahead, just in case you want to watch the full video/story.

so idk if you're aware of this new type of videos/stories tiktok places as ads. basically they are these really bad mini stories with some questionable acting but somehow they're enterntaining.

if you don't know what i am talking about i would recommend you to watch these videos of gabi belle about this, they are really good btw (1 2)

well, the thing is the moment i saw the 1st video, my tiktok started to show me these types of ads, and it was ok for a while. i would just ignore them. but yesterday, one specifically caught my attention.

this story is called "30 years frozen, 3 brothers regret," i know, such a corny title, but it's actually kinda good(?) which tbh surprised me because it's actually a really interesting concept, ig.

basically is about this girl that's adopted by a family that lost their daughter and they knew somehow that she's alive and could be at an orphanage (i know, sounds kinda weird and worst of all they don't even give an explanation on why they lost her but know she's still alive) and the story basically starts with the mc, selene, at a lab signing some papers so she can be part of this program that would have her "frozen" and she would wake up 30 years later.

if you want you can skip all the story, and just jump to the end of the resume, since i mentioned before, this was actually the original plan but thought that more context was needed.

anyways, as you would assume, selene is the adopted girl, and it appears that the family found the real daughter since at this point in the story, which is basically the beginning, they show you how her family has been treating her from the moment they found the real daughter, whose name is stella.

i kid you not, they are such horrible, pieces of shit, that have been treating selene like shit for 2 years. like, all of them, the parents and the 3 brothers (ben, alaric and orion) which is INSANE if you ask me since they show (with so many flashbacks) that they were actually such a sweet family before stella's arrival.

as you would imagine, stella's been the reason why the started to be horrible to selene by lying to them and telling them selene's been mean, and has been treating her badly yadah yadah, you know, typical soap opera stuff. to the point where they've been physically violent towards selene.

i know i sound insane and you may be thinking "wtf, why she's talking about this?" but as i mentioned i have no one to talk about this and god, this story really messed me up.

anyways, i really want to talk about the brothers because in my opinion they are so different when it comes to the way they start treating selene, and i think this is really interesting that they actually managed to separate the 3 of them and at least made them stand out, if i could call it that.

first we have ben, the oldest from what i understood. he's like the smartest of them, has been creating this project to cryogenise people for the good of humand kind (i'm not kidding this is how they refer to this on the story), and as you may have guessed, yes, this is the same program selene volunteered for.

ben in my opinion is the least abusive towards selene, he's basically just negligent..? just to call it like that since he's the one that worries about selene the most, but the moment stella starts with her shit, he just basically forgets about selene's existance.

then we have alaric, the blind one. believe me, this has relevance. he's basically the 2nd most abusive towards selene. he's most on the verbal abuse for obvious reasons.

and then we have the one i hated the most,orion. at least the other 2 would feel bad after realizing that they may have been mean towards selene, but this piece of shit was HITTING HER. like wtf. just because you found your new sister that doesn't give you the fucking right to hit selene.

i'm not even gonna defend him because even if all the things they did to selene were caused by stella, what gives him the right to be violent.

i also want to give some context regarding selene's relationship with each of her brothers because, well i think it's important and yes, i will be talking about the whole story just because i really need to get this out of my system.

selene and ben: i think this relationship was your typical big brother, little sister. ben was in my opinion the smartest and most responsible brother of the trio, so he didn't need that much of help but selene was always there for him, you know as a emotional support.

selene and alaric: i would say this is my favourite out of the 3 different relationships with the brothers. since selene was adopted when she was, what, 7 or 8 yrs old, she was always taking care of alaric, helping him, making sure the house was safe for him, telling him how was the world so he could at least imagine it, and even said to him that when they grew up, she would like to donate her corneas to him so he could see (this also will be relevant)

btw, i'm not a doctor so i don't know if this is how someone will get their sight back, but this is how they refer to all this situation in the story, so i'm just going to continue from what they said.

selene and orion: mid-ahh relationship, the last important but somehow selene made it barerable. she's there for emotional support too, just like with ben, but it appears that orion wants to be a singer or be in a band and she's basically her number one supporter.

oh, and there's also this issue where he was drowing and selene saved him, but since selene went for help, stella lied to him, telling him she saved him.

an just as a small parenthesis, i found this soooo funny because you can clearly see that stella is dry from head to toes, but he's so dumb that he actually thought stella saved him. like, bro if you're still wet, how the hell did stella saved you but it's completely dry?

after this explanation let's get back to the story.

selene signs the papers to volunteer to ben's program called "the selene's sleeping program" (don't know why he's doing it, they never explained it) and the scientist who's there realises that she's the little sister of his boss. He's like "are you sure about this?" and she's like "yeah, there's nothing left here for me"

the scientist tells her that, since she's still 17, they would have to wait for her to be 18 so she can start the process of freezing her. selene explains to him that she would be 18 in 3 days so he tells her that, ok, they will accept her as a volunteer, but she still has 3 days to think about it since there's always the possibility of failure and she could die.

when the scientist says this, selene accepts but with one condition. she wants to donate her corneas to someone. and you guessed it, that somone would be alaric.

but this is where i'm like, if it's an experiment would the best choice be for her to keep her eyes? like, what if the experiment goes right except for the fact that the volunteer can lose their sight? but hell, i guess it doesn't matter.

after this, the sicientist tells selene that they would take care of everything, they would make this fake deathc certificate, they would erase any information about her existance and no one in her family would find out about her volunteering. he gives selene her death certificate, in, an i'm not even kidding, i cannot make this up, a wooden box, yes, instead of idk, give the family the certificate AFTER selene freezes herself, they give her the box so that her family could find it later.

which brings me to my 2nd parenthesis. girl, if someone tells you they can erase you from everywhere and you would basically dissapear, you should be concerned. like, how does you family can do that? like, you're worrying about the wrong stuff here. priorities.

to keep it short, she leaves and on the way to her house, she starts having an asthma attack. her brothers + stella see her, and the moment they realise it's selene, well ben seems concerned but stella just starts faking a heart attack and they basically leave selene there ON THE FUCKING FLOOR. like???? and orion tells her "stop being dramatic, we know you just want attention" and they leave.

when i tell you i couldn't believe what i was watching... LIKE TF???

selene faints and she wakes up in a hospital with the family's maid, mary. we love mary, the only decent human being in this story apart from selene.

mary tells selene that she should talk to her family and tell them how bad her asthma is, but selene tells her that there's no use on telling them that since they stopped caring about here a long time ago.

out of nowhere the parents arrive and when they see it's selene on the bed, and not stella and her father goes "ugh, wrong room, we were looking for stella" and they leave. istg this family is like the worst.

at stella's room, the whole family is basically there taking care of her "sweet daughter" who, by the way, is doing a instagram live showing how lovely and perfect her family is, the parents then tell the brothers they were late since they got confused and entered selene's room and for the first time in this fucking story they get worried. so they go the selene's room.

when the find out that selene's there because of an asthma attack they tell her to stop being so dramatic and that stella has a more serious issue and that not only that, but they shouldn't be worrying about her, but stella and alaric because he has to prepare for a surgery since they finally found a donor to give him the corneas he needs to see.

then selene tells him she's really happy and that she hopes he can see for her all those things they talked about (HINT 1 but they are so dumb that they could have a million hints and still don't understand what happened, but i'm getting ahold of myself)

they leave selene there and go back to stella's room and this is were i got confused because they just let them leave just like that, like out of nowhere they are at the house and this is were i realise that this story doesn't have any coherent pacing, it's so messy.

well, selene arrives to her house she sees these stilletos and she thinks they are for her since she remebered that one of her brothers, if i'm not wrong ben, told her that when she turned 18, he would find someone to make her the most beautiful shoes but when she tales the shoes out of the box, she realises they are not her size and that they are for stella.

stella arrives and yells at her saying that she's going to get them dirty, which, they are basically shoes made with small crystals. how. like how can they get dirty.

long story short, ben tries to calm the situation by telling selene that he can get her a pair just for her and that's when selene realises that he basically forgot his promise.

and in his defense, like, cmon selene, you were children, even me, at my 24yrs, forget what i said last week. but i also understand that a promise is something you would never forget when it's said by someone you love, so ig i also understand her.

selene then goes straight to her room and she sees that all her stuff is in boxes. stella arrives and tells her that her brothers gave her the room. LIKE GOSH I HATE THEM SO MUCH. and selene is like, they would never do that. of course they arrive at the room and if i'm not wring, orion, tells her that since stella is their real sister, she should have the room.

selene then remembers that she will be gone in 3-2 days and is like "you know what? whatever i'm tired" and just leaves.

at night, selene is searching for her dog, which was a present from orion and when she asks her brothers they tell her that they don't care where that thing is since it hurt stella.

selene goes outside to search for her and she sees a trial of blood leading to the trash can. THE CRAZY BITCH KILLED THE DOG. i wish i was making this up but WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL???

of course, selene goes mad, and starts to choke stella, and like, yes, do it, but orion arrives and slaps selene. you see why i hate him? like fucking asshole.

selene then just leaves and burries her little dog and it starts raining and alaric goes outside with an umbrella to cover her and she faints again. but can you blame her, she just burried her dog that was killed by a fucking psycho.

parenthesis 3. why. why out of the 3 brothers was alaric the one who went and covered selene? HOW DID HE KNOW WHERE SHE WAS? wouldn't it have been easier to be ben?

anyways, selene wakes up and the brothers are there to give her a present which is a dress and they tell her to prepare herself for a banquet, and she thinks it's for her birthday and for a moment she's happy but then they tell her that she needs to get ready since it would be the night they announce the beginning of the sleeping program ben's been working on.

at the banquet, ben gives a speech and explains that he named the program after his little sister, selene but that now that the program's actually starting thanks to an unknown volunteer, he thinks it would be fitting to rename it. yes. HE CHANGES IT TO "STELLA'S SLEEPING PROGRAM" LIKE???? ben i didn't have any faith in you and you still managed to dissapoint me.

selene's like "well yeah they found their real sister, is ok" like, no baby, it's not ok.

but anyways, people clap, the speech finishes and then they cut to stella and her friends gossiping and think alaric may be faking his blindness, so stella asks alaric to grab something on the table, but what he doesn't know is that there's a grill on the table, so they want to see if he would just grab the grill or not to check if he's actually blind. like the girl's a menace to society.

selene of course stops alaric and HE GETS MAD AT HER. selene tries to explain that he was going to burn his hand, and the stupid boy says "of course i wouldn't, stella wouldn't have asked me to grab what she needed. if that was true" istg these boys have the intelligence of a fucking potato.

this is were it gets hazy for me because if i'm not wrong selene gets mad at stella for putting alaric at risk but of course stella, as the drama queen she is, she managed to turn the situation around (i don't really remember how) but in the end the whole family just start to shout at selene telling her such horrible things, to the point were the dad tells her that she's not part of the family anymore.

when i tell you my heart broke, like that was so uncalled for.

selene of course just leaves because she realises her family isn't her family anymore.

then a photographer asks the family to pose for a family photo but oh! look who had an epiphany and realised they were shitty towards selene, the family of the year.

they tell the photographer they won't take the photo without selene, and stella gets mad, but they just leave to search for selene, who's at this point on her way to the labs to get cryogenise.

when they return to he house they realised that selene may have really dissapeared, and that when mary tells them that is too late and that selene won't ever come back.

they still feel horrible but there's no time for that, since alaric was going to get his surgery the next day. so basically selene got frozen at midnight and alaric was gonna get her coneas that same day, the day of her 18th birthday.

the surgery is a success and alaric asks for selene but of course, she's not there. alaric asks ben who was the donor but ben tells him that they decided to remain anonymous but alaric asks ben if he could send a letter to the donor thanking them.

then while they're speaking, alaric's doctor enters and starts a conversation with the family and he asks for selene since it appears that she has just stopped going to her medical checkups.

and they are like "what?" and the doctor explains that she was in treatment since she has severe asthma due to a lung damage that could've been caused by a near drowning.

this is the first moment orion ACTUALLY thinks and he's like "wait, so was it actually you who saved me stella?" and stella fakes a faint like, girl stop it.

they let alaric leave, yeah, that same day, which is insane. this hospital should close due to malpractice.

the thing is when they arrive they go to the attic, oh becuase i forgot to mentioned that they sent selene to the attic after giving stella her room, and they found this box with letter she wrote her bothers, and they actually almost find the certificate of death but they stopped since they could hear mary scream.

she basically screamed becuase stella burnt this scrapbook (which isn't even a scrapbook, it's more of a photo album) that selene and the brothers did when they were younger.

they feel terrible so they decide to make a new one for when selene comes back and also orion decided to find a new dog for selene after her first one was killed.

that when, finally, it appeared that all my prayeres were heard, since they started to look at the security cameras to have a a photo/image of the dog selene had so they could buy a similar one, and that's when they see how stella was actually the one that was pussing and hurting selene all this time.

and not only that but they literally saw how stella killed the dos and scratched herself to make it look like it was the dog that hurt her.

they finally know the truth and of course, want an explaination from stella who by this point is enjoying all of selene's jewelry and clothes and when they arrive, they just start questioning her on how could she be so heartless and told her to leave all of selene's stuff where she found it, and that she needs to leave selene's room.

but like, weren't you the ones who gave her all that stuff in the first place when you made selene move to the attic? like, yeah you finally used your brain and eyes but don't you think it's a little too late?

they regret treating selene the way they did that they just think that by giving selene all the riches in the world she would just forgive them.

so they, and god this is so funny, they make all the news outlets in the world get the message out there to selene to come back since her family is waiting for her.

while they are waiting, a postman arrives to the house and gives them a letter, alaric receives it and he's like "wait this is the letter i wrote to my donor," and the postman is like "well they told me to deliver it here."

and that's when alaric remembers what selene told him at the hospital, that she hopes he can see for her all those things they talked about. and he's starts crying and screaming and that's when he realises selene was the donor.

of course selene doesn't arrive and that's when they remembered that mary told them that selene wasn't going to return anymore. they ask mary what really happened and she tells them to look at the small wooden box that's at the attic. they finally see the death certificate.

and like, ben's like "tf, this certificate doesn't make any sense, we saw her the day it says she died" and here's where i lost all hope for ben becuase, like, he KNOWS about this. he was the one who told the scientists how they were going to do all this project, he was the one who told them they would erase all traces of the volunteer, and that the volunteer could remain anonymous.

mary is just like, you jsut realised too late, i'm leaving, but before leaving she leaves a usb witha. video that selene recorded the day of the banquet, and she just thanks them for giving her a home and goes one by one telling them what she's grateful for and ends the video saying "if i could do it all over again, i just wish we were never a family"

bro. bro. like bro, don't hurt me like this. but i couldn't really blame her, they were just so abusive towards her in the end, that i was so happy she left to get cryogenise for 30 years, like yes, let them suffer.

this is where i have to admit that out of everyone, selene's actress and ben's actor are the best. like i could feel the pain in their words and actions. and i started crying because of these 2. apart from that, the others are so tense and awkard all the time.

anyways, the video ends, orion sees that stella's been watching the video too, and goes and starts choking her and stella faints.

at the hospital the doctor tells them that stella's condition is getting worse, but that they couldn't do anything since it was hereditary. and they are all like "but none of us have heart problems" and they were also able to see on her medical record that she doesn't have the same blood type as their parents.

so once again, they go to anc confront stella and that's when she finally admits that she's actually not the real lost daughter. that, and get ready for this, selene WAS THE REAL DAUGHTER.

i was kinda shocked, and now that i look back, it's the typical cliche, but in my defense, it was 12am and i'm used to go to sleep at 10pm, so my brain wasn't fully here.

she at least admits changing the medical records of selene and hers and that's why the orphanage told them she was the real daughter when in reality it was selene.

she also gives them a reality check, they besically start blaming her for selene's disappearance, and she's like "no no, like yeah, i may have been acting, and i may have hurt myself in order foe you to think selene hurt me, but i wasn't the one who actually hurt her."

and looking back at it, she's kinda right, yeah she may have hurted selene while trying to hurt herself too, but she hasn't the one who pushed her around or slapped her, it was orion. ben and alaric basically hurt her with action (or the lack of them) and with words.

ben tells her that she's going to be taken to the police since she falsified legal documents and comitted fraud (?) idk, like, i literally don't know what he's refering to, maybe the issue with the false identity?

anyways, the psycho CUTS HERSELF to prevent the police/hospital staff, to take her, but they still take her.

3 months pass and they are still searching for selene and this is when they find some items that selene left them. like she left her parents the adoption papers, orion some posters she made to promote his music career, alaric a telescope so that he could finally see the night sky, and ben a medal (if i'm not wrong)

and this, this medal is the important one. ben FINALLY REMEMBERS how they were going to cover all about the volunteer up and that's when he realises that it couldn't be such a coincidence that when selene dissapeared, the donor and the volunteer appeared.

all the family rushes to the labs and after begging the scientist to tell them who was the volunteer, he finally caves in and tells them that indeed, the volunteer was selene.

of course they are devasted and asks them to ket her out but he tells them that if he lets selene out, and opens the pod, she could die, so they have to wait. and fuck, they actually wait 30 years. ben even says he's going to find someone who can donate her corneas because, well, she doesn't have ones.

this is where i'm mad, and they lost me, because they literally do a time jump and they show the brothers in their what, 50s, i believe ben would be in his 60s and, even the parents are there. like they are easily on their 80s but they are there, waoitng for selene to wake up.

and she does, the scientist, who's also there, like the same one that told selene about all the procedures, tells them that she is stable and that the transplant worked perfectly.

she wakes up, leaves the pod, and she just forgot everything. like EVERYTHING and she's just like "who are you? excuse me" and just walks past them and that's it.

LIKE???? WHAT WAS THAT ENDING???

don't get me wrong of course i wouldn't want her to return to them, because, well, they were abusive but WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ENDING. it felt so rushed and empty and god i hated it so much.

mostly because this was actually a good story in my opinion, yes it has it's plotholes, the narrative is all over the place, but it's entertaining.

like idk, give me some clousure, for selene and for the family.

and yes, this story didn't let me sleep properly because it left me empty, and mad and my brain couldn't really understand that ending because i'm so used to at least a decent ending that i was literally dreaming about the story but with a better ending. (i may write something with this plot but with a better ending, idk, still thinking about it)

from what i found out, it appears that this story is an american version of a chinese video, and not only that but there are several versions but the ending is basically that, she just forgetting everything.

and it also appears that when it comes to chinese stories of this type, they always end like that, like with no happy ending and like, ok i understand but i deserved better, at least a better ending for ben and alaric. (the amount of times i had to search for alaric's name while writing this were just too much, such a difficult name)

so yeah, that's why i wanted to talk about this, because, well i cannot believe i spent 3 hours on this (because i wanted to see the story with the cast i saw on my tiktok and only 1 account had it and i spent time searching for the video. here's the link if you want to see the story), so the least i can do is write about this after this rollercoaster of emotions.

if someone actually ended up reading all of this, or at least the start and end of the post, thank you so much for reading my crazy rant. i just needed to get this out of my system. 🥲
