#Oh how I missed rambling about AA

It’s been a while but I can finally gush about my favorite moments from Avengers Assemble Season 3, episode 21 “Building the Perfect Weapon” :D

So blah blah Truman Marsh kicking Hulk out of the Avengers and he is replaced by Red Hulk. When that’s revealed, welp chaos. Hulk runs away and gosh the rest of the Avengers go to run after him but Marsh tells them they have a mission to do.

Everyone goes back into the room except Steve and Tony and they talk.

“If he thinks I’ll go on another mission with that maniac..” Tony said, obviously frustrated.

“We have to make the best of it, Tony.” Steve replies seriously and not a second later he smiles at him rather fondly, leaning in to clasp his armored shoulder. “I thought you were a maniac when I met you.”

And HELLO?! Steve keeps his hand on Tony’s shoulder as they walk back into the room qwq. Also..I want to know the lore so bad why Steve first thought Tony was a maniac when they first met and how that opinion changed!!

Then mission and Red Hulk casually dropping military knowledge to everyone’s surprise.

After digesting the information, Steve moves his gaze to look back at Tony, who looks at him. “A maniac, huh?” Steve says in quiet disbelief.

(SHUT UP? It’s so silly that Steve brought that up since no one else on the team will understand that reference except Tony. Like, Steve looked back at Tony to bring it up)

As Red-Hulk suddenly charges, Steve backs up to be side-by-side with Tony. The two exchange sideway glances, Steve giving a knowing smile as he merely shrugs.

Tony looks away, muttering “Yeah. Maniac.” , unaware that Steve is still looking, and smiling fondly, at him until Tony begins ordering.

Like geez, Steve still smiling and looking at Tony even though Tony isn’t looking at him and only moves when orders are being delivered like okay sir good for you 👌

Anyways they find The Leader and fight Ultimo and I that fight scene because of Tony’s quick thinking planning!

He first tells Falcon to get Ultimo to chase him and Falcon does it without question until wanting to know what’s next. The Avengers trust Tony I love it <3

In the span of minutes, Tony asks for a cable arrow, compliments Clint’s shot, asks for it very nicely, connects it to the back of Ultimo’s head, orders Thor to electrify the cable, and boom, Ultimo is defeated. Like, YEAH! LEADERSHIP SKILLS, GENIUS SKILLS! The Avengers run so smoothly like woah.

Hehe Tony saying “that’s all” for his plan, and Clint laughs and repeats disbelievingly “Heh. That’s all, he says”. Shut up I love Tony downplaying his quick planning and the team refusing for him to downplay it since yeah, Tony’s a genius!

Tracking The Leader, the Avengers find a destroyed little town and try to find out exactly where he is. Red-Hulk is impulsive as ever, trying to rush things. While arguing, The Leader sent an energy wave to disable their tech. So, Falcon’s trackers don’t work and Tony, in his armor, can’t move o_o

Even more fun, a hole opens up and everyone’s falling!

Red-Hulk jumps using the rocky walls. Thor uses his hammer to hover. Widow uses a wire to hold onto a rock, with Falcon holding onto one of her legs. Clint uses an arrow and sticks it into the wall. Steve digs his shield into the side of the wall.

AHH! With his left hand, Steve is holding his shield and with his right hand, holding onto Tony’s gauntleted wrist. We can hear Steve struggling because Tony’s armor has got to be heavy, and remember Tony can’t move.

How does Steve have a good grip on his shield, with one hand, and the other hand holding Tony, whose armor is probably weighing them both down?!

Anyyywaaays!

Red-Hulk leaves all of them to get The Leader while Thor goes to save the others. Just as Widow’s wire breaks and she and Falcon fall down below Steve and Tony, Thor grabs one of Widow’s wrists. Thor then flies up, where Falcon reaches a hand for Tony to grab onto, so Steve and Tony are dragged up (since Steve is still holding onto one of Tony’s wrists). Clint grabs onto one of Steve’s legs and Thor drags everyone to safety, yippee! :D

Tech is finally back up and after running into a death trap with spikes, crushing walls, and lasers, the Avengers decide to fly out of there.

“Everyone who doesn’t fly, grab on.” Tony orders.

Falcon flies, no problem. Thor picks up Clint and Widow jumps down to grab onto Thor. Steve is the only one who jumps onto Tony and hangs on.

Like damn. Tony wanted to help everyone, but everyone’s alright. And Steve was so quick to jump onto Tony like geez, Steve is the only one who wants to be on Tony qwq. They are so powercouple <3

Episode ends with Red Hulk being turned into a gamma bomb, so extra flames, and the hint of Hulk going back to save them..to be continued..as the episode says!

Hello, arcadekitten! I've recently been grabbed and dunked headfirst into your games and am currently hyperfixating on them(First hyperfixation that hasn't been my ocs in years lol!) and am currently on the grind of trying to figure out Reginald's weird plot! I've only got about a page of notes so far in my doc, more questions than answers but I thought it would be neat to share, so here are some things I've noticed! **Spoilers for My Wishmaker and Cemetary Mary for anyone reading lol** Reginald strangely isn't affected by bad injuries too much? Seen in My Wishmaker as he has his whole arm chopped off and can walk seemingly ok without a tourniquet or anything to stop the bleeding? Ik having your arm chopped off doesn't affect walking around but my goodness he's awfully chill in this situation. In Cemetary Mary in Twylas good ending when he is shot in the leg and eventually stands back up on both of his legs to walk over to Mary(But I guess this could be explained by him having adrenaline from the whole ordeal, or if you're my friend ''it's because he's crazy and has uber demon warlock time god powers'') Also at the end of the prologue, he is shot twice and(seemingly maybe) gets back up again after the purple text(Eye fellow most likely) I don't have an explanation for this, as I could very well be overanalyzing it and it could be cartoon/game logic or the characters having different anatomy but I think maybe it has something to do with our purple eye fellow, whether it just some strange effect/gift they have/gave or if Reginald is born with some crazy pain tolerance lol, or if he maybe he asked for it(After rereading this I am definitely over analyzing but we'll leave my crazy rant up LMAO) Reginald says the eye has an affinity for objects like the clock, which makes me believe that our purple-eye fellow was definitely in Cemetery Mary the same way he is in My Wishmaker. The scenes that come to mind immediately are Reginald's vanity(I think that's what it's called) and (less likely maybe) the coffin at the church funeral. Obviously whatever it is makes Mary feel not too great so I wonder why it's only her and (seemingly) not Reginald(Although again maybe it's that crazy pain tolerance lmao). Mary is definitely connected in some way to the eye but I don't know how yet other than maybe her just being around Reginald, he says he doesn't want her to ask about that silly stuff as she could end up in a similar position to him and it wouldn't work out for either of them. So I wonder what that means. Eye fellow says they thought Reginald was better at this(Killing people maybe? Reference to Cemetary Mary?)(The eye looked forward too when he responds with ‘’Oh yknow..’’ which like..fourth wall break?) Idk just smth I thought was neat There is so much more stuff I can talk about and I will probably go back and scream because I've put more points together or I forgot to mention smth but this is all I'll put since I've already written a lot and I don't want this to be too long aa so ill end my midnight ramble here But anyway I really enjoy your games and I can't wait to see more from you in the future!! (Tho one last question does the eye have pronouns I feel as if I'm misgendering the purple eyeball lmao)

So many observations and notes, I am so fllattered! I miss I could say more but I don't want to spoil anything! You'll just have to wait and see for more answers! ♡

As for the eyeball character, they go by any pronouns but will most consistently be referred to as "they" and "it" !

Season 7 here we come. I am excited and also kind of scared.

Hey Frank. Frank, that is perfectly fine, I am also traumatised by the shows and movies that I watched when I was a child. Athena is being very relatable right now. I love it when Frank is an asshole. I know something is gonna happen on that cruise.

Is this a dream?? That man is gonna get bullied for the rest of his life, haha. Captain Hen!! "I'll talk you through it." My mind is in the gutter, haha. This is giving me flashbacks to the ambulance bombing where all started for Buck and Eddie. Hen is like, thank the fuck god. Hey shirtless Eddie, did you grow more abs in comparison to last season or am I tripping? I love Buck's pants. Their smiles talking about Chris, aww. Eddie's face when Buck said they broke up, the dramatics, haha. The hand on the shoulder, oh how I have missed you. I love dramatic Eddie. His smilee after Eddie leaves.

This is such a cute idea, but they are gonna obsess over it and it will become a problem. But it's adorable. Bobby and Athena dancing, love that for them. Athena, noo, Bobby being a supportive nonembarrassed husband, love that for you guys. OMG, THAT'S HER???? I would have not guessed that. This is weird, like suspicious weird. Bobby, spicy. Oh, Athena, do not even worry about that, you will be fine. Bobby is confused, utterly confused but supportive.

Josh is also confused, utterly confused, but supportive.

I love it when they have serious conversations while doing something like putting out a fire. The 'I hate you face' was strong on that one. Christopher's giggles are so cute. Best friends who parent together stay together, haha. The way he is pawning that conversation off to Buck is so funny. Like, best friend, will you please have this important conversation with my son even though I am perfectly capable of doing it, please? The soot under eyes, is so cute, haha.

Bobby is suspecting something. Not the AA meeting, haha, I don't know if that is the place for what your priorities are. The way he popped back into the screen to add the alcoholic part, haha.

The way they are looking at each other, lol. The proud looks, I am so proud and they are too and this is so wholesome, awww, yes Eddie!! The way Buck teases, aww. Not Hen teasing Chim as well. Chris baby, are you doing okay? The way Buck is realising really fast that something is wrong, like really wrong. This is about Shannon, oh Chris, you can't compare that. The way Buck and Eddie both look lost. Eddie's face, the hurt and guilt and pain in that face, oh, this has me tearing up. The way Buck looked at the door, at Eddie like he knew that he was there and knew what he was thinking is fucking with my head.

Bobby is frustrated right now. The proud look in his eyes, he thought he got somewhere. Bobby's face of realisation, haha.

Please Chris don't rip it, please, I know you are feeling emotional but you will regret that. The heartbreak on Eddie's face. They got her to do the audio, shut up, I can't do this. The hope in Eddie's face as he takes in the scene, ohh, you guys.

How about that new NWoS trailer?!

The following will consist of an overly long series of disjointed fangirl thoughts/ramblings.

First of all this game is beautiful. And it looks and feels like a true Layton game, which is the most we can possibly ask for! That feeling of curious surroundings, weird and wonderful buildings, a town where you want to explore every cranny…the developers had previously expressed doubt about creating a Laytonesque setting in America, but they succeeded.

I was so pleased to see that the classic screen by screen, ‘point and click’ dynamic is still in place! It looks like they’re embracing what makes Layton distinct without feeling the need to shake everything up. Bonus points for including the hint coin in the lamppost; sure to make any Layton fan feel right at home! Even Luke’s comment about the gears making him dizzy brings back memories of Unwound Future. One of my favorite new touches is how Layton and Luke are visible in the foreground as the scene is examined, it looks so dynamic and expresses the scale of their surroundings! It reminds me of the rare occasions in the games that you would actually see them outside of dialogue/events (like when they’re standing by the canal outside of town in Curious Village).

Speaking of Layton and Luke, they’re both looking great!! It just tickles me to see them in a fresh look but still very much themselves. Luke has definitely grown up, and his face shape is less round, but eyes are bigger/more animesque? It just gives him this very eager, bright-eyed look, and he does seem ready to take on anything! Since our only look at him so far from the previous teaser was more of an intense moment, it’s great to see his cheerful personality shining through. Even Layton comments that he seems to be having a splendid time, and who can blame him? He’s just having the time of his life to be at the professor’s side again! (On a random side note, Luke’s satchel seems to be missing. Does he not carry it anymore? Will he be taking on more action and it would’ve gotten in the way?)

Not only are Layton and Luke voiced throughout the trailer, but even the NPC guy is! This is pretty unusual. I wonder if there will be a lot more voicing in this game compared to the others, or if it’s just for the sake of the trailer’s flow. I also wonder if we’ll have a lot of little cutscenes like when the duo is approaching the correct door. The 3D animation looks much smoother (and less unintentionally humorous/distracting) than it did on the 3ds! That being said, I’m still holding out for the iconic 2D scenes to come back!!

The music is pleasant, and definitely reminiscent of Torrido, which makes sense as it’s also a Western American town (I think). And is that our new puzzle theme? I quite like it; the “music box” backdrop reminds me of Last Specter, while the rich instrumentation makes it stand out compared to the others. (I’ve heard it compared to PL vs AA multiple times though, so while I don’t remember that theme enough to say, I’m assuming that’s true!) I really like when that lilting harmonica (?) kicks in. I do, however, await the return of the iconic chunky accordion. The puzzle itself seems like exactly my favorite type, deduction/process of elimination. How cool to see the memo and everything being utilized right on top of the scene! It reminds you that the two are really solving a puzzle right in front of them. I wonder how this puzzle might change in the final game, as they’ve already shown the answer…oh, and let’s take a moment to appreciate that glorious solving animation! I recall two-person animations being a feature of the crossover that I really liked, and it only makes sense when the puzzle was solved by working together. Just seeing those two as a team again makes me so happy!!

This is more on the random side but…Eggmuffin? I mean, Eggmuffin? Is that really his name?? I had a hard time taking it seriously every time they said it. It sounds like one of those names that would be changed in localization—but then, if any series can get away with using something so silly until we just accept it and stop finding it weird, it’s probably this one. I have also heard it speculated that it may be an alias, though why he would want to be called this is beyond me.

All that aside, there’s just something about this game that already feels nostalgic to me, even while being so fresh and unexplored. I can only think that’s simply because it is a Layton game in every sense of the word. For a longtime fan who hasn’t experienced that anew in roughly ten years, it’s like coming home.

…and that is the only reason I can stand waiting until 2025! Oh dear, I hope they overestimated to play it safe, especially since reportedly the puzzles are all finished and production is moving smoothly. But, in the end, if it is truly the Laytonesque adventure it looks to be, it will be worth the wait—and I thank the development team for caring enough to not to rush it. I’ve waited this long.

(looks like I’ll be playing through the series again to help hold me over throughout next year! Layton fans, let’s hold fast! We’re in this together!)

💘 FAKE RELATIONSHIP / MUTUAL PINING

“This is stupid even for your standards,” Vil says, crossing his arms.

Rosienne makes his best pleading face, eyes wide and sad like he's a shelter dog. “I knooow. But my dad was so happy when I told him I have someone! I can't just show up alone now, can I?”

“Yes, you very much can. You should, in fact. Maybe that will teach you to not run your mouth.”

Rosienne doesn't falter. Vil is stubborn, sure, but so is he. With enough puppy eyes and groveling he can win this.

“Yes, yes, I’m stupid, I know! But it's really important to me and you're the only person I can ask. Well, I thought about asking Rook, but then I thought about it some more and well… You know.” He's rambling now, he knows it, but maybe if he talks long enough, Vil will agree just to shut him up.

“You can just say you've broken up.”

“And make my dad sad? No way. Would you want to make your father sad?”

Ah, there it is. Rosienne can see that Vil’s resolve is slowly starting to melt away.

“And listen. I know I’m not exactly boyfriend material, alright? But you're an actor. Surely you can pretend, even if it's me.”

At least that part was true — Rosienne wouldn't wish his own company on anyone. The mere fact that he and Vil were friends was a miracle enough. Would be enough, maybe, if Rosienne didn't so desperately want the taste of the real thing.

Even if it's all pretend, it would be nice, for one evening, to feel what it would be like, being the type of person somebody like Vil Schoenheit could fall in love with.

Vil pulls out his phone. There's a determined look on his face that Rosienne knows well but he's not sure where it came from this time. “When's the date?” he asks, casually.

So casually, in fact, it takes Rosienne a second to catch up. “What?”

“When's the date?” Vil repeats, slowly as if speaking to a toddler. “For your family dinner.”

“Oh! Are you- Are you really going to do it?”

“I don't just throw my words around. You should know this by now.”

Rosienne smiles. It feels like a victory and friends or not, he always likes winning against Vil. “Oh, thank you, thank you! You're my best friend, you know that, right?”

“Yes, I am aware.” Vil smiles, too. “You won't find anyone better, I’m afraid.”

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but the nerves are eating Rosienne alive now. He's not sure why. It's just the Minuit family dinner; he's been there many times, he knows what he can expect, and he knows for sure his father will love Vil. The trembling hands and twisting in his gut is just his body being annoying.

“Come here. You look like a mess.”

Rosienne looks up at Vil. They're still getting ready, but he's already looking splendid. He's wearing a suit, a classy black three-piece that clings to his frame in all the right places — Rosienne was definitely not ready for Vil in a suit. He can't look at Vil without many, many very stupid thoughts running through his brain.

He's not sure how he will survive the evening.

He walks up to Vil, feeling just a little bit lightheaded.

He lets Vil handle him; straighten his tie, try and tame his curls. The smell of Vil's perfumes is overwhelming. The shimmer of his eyeshadow is the only thing Rosienne can look at.

“You know, we never discussed what being your boyfriend entails,” Vil says with a smile that makes Rosienne feel like he missed a step on the staircase.

One of Vil's hand is still in Rosienne's hair, the other slides effortlessly on Rosienne's chest.

It feels like Rosienne had walked right into a trap.

“Oh, you know. The usual… boyfriend… stuff…” he manages to say, even though his mind is racing too hard to come up with any coherent sentences.

Vil raises an eyebrow. “No, I don't think I know. Use your words, darling.”

Rosienne's can feel himself blush so hard, he's surprised he hadn't yet went straight up in flames. He would prefer that, actually. He has no idea what to deal with… whatever is going on right now.

What is even going on right now?

“Oh, you know,” he repeats, stupidly, and sees Vil's smile turn downright mocking. “Don't look at me like that! You probably know more than me! It's not like I ever had a boyfriend… Or- or anyone, really. You always wanted to play the love interest, right? Be creative, figure it out! Isn't that your job? Or- or something, I don't know…”

He lets his emotions carry him for a second before faltering.

Vil doesn't say anything. Instead, he does something worse. He gently raises Rosienne's chin. Leans down. The smell of his perfumes is the only thing in Rosienne's world now.

Before Rosienne can react, Vil's lips are on his, somehow gentle and firm at the same.

Nothing about this feels real, not the fact that Vil is kissing him, that he's gently cradling the back or Rosienne's head and certainly not the fact that Rosienne, driven more by instincts than by reason, lets himself wrap his arms around Vil's waist.

Vil kisses like he's claiming what's rightfully his, like he's certain beyond a doubt that Rosienne would never say no. He's right, of course, but he shouldn't know it. It's the type of confidence that would make Rosienne's blood boil in anger before, but now he just lets himself melt under the boy.

“What- What was that?” he asks when they finally part. It feels like Vil had kissed life out of him. It feels like the whole world is spinning.

“I'm just getting into the role,” Vil replies, straightening up. There's no blush on his face, not a hair out of place. “You're my director for tonight. I tend to listen to those.”

it's a hot summer day in hawkins, indiana. you and your girlfriend are walking around the streets of hawkins, trying your best not to melt from the hot summer weather.

"you sure the ice cream is near by?" you asked as robin nodded. "i'm sure, i think? the last time i saw it was near this area soo." robin shrugged as you two continue the walk.

the walk continued, and continued, until you two finally stopped to take a break near a hill.

"actually, i think the shop closes at sundays." robin sighs as you gasped, "robin!" you took a seat at the bench. "i'm sorry! i thought the shop was near by, turns out it was not." robin shrugged as you nodded, "yeah, obviously."

"sorry i ruined today, i genuinely didn't mean to." robin sat down beside you. "you didn't ruin it, robs. it's okay, really." you smiled. "i feel bad though, we were suppose to be eating ice cream right now, but we are melting in the sun instead." robin replied.

you sighed a bit, thinking on what to do now. you were probably miles from your home, and walking back does not sound like the best option.

"actually, i heard there was a strawberry fields near by here." you say, "we could go to there if you want to." you offered. "yeah, yeah that be really nice!" robin smiled. "it's down the hill i'm pretty sure." you got up from the bench, grabbing robin's hand as you two went down the hill.

slowly going down you spotted the entrance of the fields. you walk towards it first as robin follows behind, "uh, i'll pay the tickets. you can take it as an apology, for literally getting us lost." robin stated. "i can think of so many things we can make out of these, strawberry ice cream, strawberry milkshakes, strawberry smoothies.. hell! we can even make cake! though i don't think i have the skills for that, i mean the last time we tried, we had a flour fight so..." robin rambles as you listened.

"we can try! i mean second tries a charm, right? at the end we did make the cake." you laughed. "we can try to make smoothies maybe? or a slushy of some-type." you suggest as she nodded.

you went on for an hour before paying for all the berries you two picked. robin decided its best to take the bus home, so thats what the two of you did. you rested your head on her shoulder on the way home to your small, cozy apartment as she rambles about how excited she is to make the smoothies.

"This is your office. We arranged everything you need to work with this project" One of the Top Gun Civilian Contractors in Pacific Fleet open the glass door for Captain Floyd. She steps in and looks around the room.

The office is medium-sized with glass doors and walls. In the middle of it, there's two grey couch with a glass table between them. There's a desk with computer and a stack of papers already composed on the desk. Behind the desk is a rolling chair in black colour.

The windows are made from glass with a white blind drape covering the windows. From the window, you can see the tarmac and jets in through them. A cabinet with glass doors is planted on the wall beside the window. It was filled with an old document. There are not so many decorations in the office, but it's just for four weeks and the great thing is, she still has a couch where she can lay down during her break.

She then turned to the employee who still looked at her on the doors

"It's nice. Thanks.." She lift her eyebrows stared at him waiting for his name. He's looks young with black hair and hazel eyes. He remains her with her brother.

"A.. Thomas Ma'am. Aa... Thomas or Tommy. But you can also call me Tom" He alters his posture. He then rests his arm in the door handle with an awkward gestured. He clears his throat because he's flustered at how she looks at him.

"Thank you Thomas" She gives him a small smile and wink. Thomas smile widen slightly.

She then turns her head to look around the room again until Tom calls her.

"Is there anything you need Ma'am?" He asked her still in his previous positions.

"No... it's perfect" she shakes her head and waved her hand for rejection.

"Okay. Let me know if you need anything Ma'am" He gives her a salute, (Y/N)gives him small smile in return. Thomas then walked away from her office.

After she rearranged her office in Fightertown, she collect her belongings and drive back to her home. In San Diego, she lives in a house near the beach that she shares with her husband.

She and her husband met when they were still in college back in Virginia. They meet during one of the Conference Seminars their college held. They sat next to each other and when the boring guest lecturer begin to explain his subject matter, she started a conversation with the man beside her.

"He's full of shit, isn't he?" She whispered to the man next to her.

This man really attracted her. He's so handsome. With his dark blonde hair, a thin moustache decorates his face.

She saw him when she was looking for a seat. Despite her friends' waving for her to sit down with them. But this moustache man already attracted her. She then saw an empty side beside him, she didn't wasted her chance to get to know this man.

"Huh?" The man who had a boring look at the lecturer with his hand balled in a fist and rests it on the side of his face turn his gaze to the girl beside him.

"Professor Davis, he's full of shit. People say he's the best of the best in his field. But he's just an egoistic and narcissistic asshole. He doesn't like when people correct him when he's wrong. And gave the students who corrected him an F in his class. He always thinks he's the right person and the best of the best" attracted to this girl ramble, the man turns his attention to the girl beside him. This girl hot too, so he didn't missed his chance to get to know her.

"Oh really? Can you tell me more about this Professor Davis?" He gives her a smirk and she begins to ramble about Professor Davis. And the one-sided conversation begins to turn into two sides. They begin to talk about their less favourite professors in their class or the most hated professors in their major. This conversation really brings joy to them. Their bored with this conference is gone because talking about people behind their back is a nice conversation. Especially with someone who has similar experiences, is a match in heaven.

"Students in row 25, do you have something to share with the class?" Their eyes are wide when the lecturer said their seat number. they just give him a tight smile.

"No Sir" they answer it in simultaneously.

They stared at each other. (Y/N) pursed her lips to hold her laughter, he mimics her. But they can't contain it and snorts escaped a bit from their lips. But their snorts are enough to make everyone's attention in the room shift to them.

"Mr Bradshaw and Miss Floyd. If you disturb the conference again with another noise. I will expel you both from this room" this time the Professor from her class scolded them. Their face changes to serious now, and many students give them dirty looks for their behaviour.

"Ugh, he looks like Leonardo when he's angry" (Y/N) whispers to Bradley beside her.

Bradley raises his eyebrow "Leonardo?"

"Leonardo the Ninja Turtle" And that's the last straw for them. Now they found themselves in the hallway outside of the event hall. They stared at each other and begin to burst out laughing.

After that day, the begin to be friends and now they're married.

She parked her car in the garage and close the garage door. She then load the grocery she buys earlier in the nearby supermarket.

The house has never been occupied for five weeks. Her husband worked as a naval aviator and got stationed in Oceana, Virginia and her work as a Naval Information Warfare Systems Command in San Diego make them rarely see each other.

Their field of work especially her husband makes them rarely see each other as a person, especially when they have to get shipped or get sent off to some places for a mission.

Her husband is more often to get shipped than she. She just gets shipped if something important happens and needs her help. Despite their lack of meetings, their relationship is progressing so great. And now they've been married for two years.

Sometimes her husband will visit her in San Diego when he has months off after getting shipped. And sometimes she visited her husband in Oceana when she has months off after getting shipped too. But San Diego is their favourite place to meet. Their home is here. Her husband was born here, their house is here, and they spent their life in San Diego quite often than in any other place.

She's one year earlier than her husband to graduate from college, and after that, she got her master's degree in Caltech. They lost contact after that because Bradley joined the Naval Academy and never had time to contact her. She tried to send a letter to Annapolis but never got a response back. For a month, she never absent to sent him letters, but after never got any response back, she focused on finishing her degree and trying to find him in another way.

After six years of lost contact, they meet again in the navy at the carrier that'll gonna carry them to the war zone.

"Wow, (Y/N) Floyd. As I live and breath" Bradley approaches her when the meetings about the mission they're gonna do are over. His cocky smirk is never gone when he walks towards her.

"Bradley Bradshaw didn't see you as a sailor type" she mirrored his smirk.

"Sorry to disappoint you sweetheart, but I'm a pilot" he fix his hair and he gives her his signature cocky smirk. Her eyes widen at his statement.

"Holy shit you got it!!" She then without hesitation hugged Bradley. Bradley laughed at her reaction and return the hug. In college, he always talks about getting to the Navy and continuing his father's legacy.

She lifts her head from his shoulder and looks at him from head to toe. She slides her hand to his biceps.

"Wow Bradley, I can't believe it. Wow, you talk about being a pilot every time we met. And here you are now"The cocky smirk on Bradley's face never leaved. She examined his features now, his hair is brown and his moustache is denser. And God's, He's taller than she remembers.

"But you went MIA for Six years," she said it with gritted teeth and hit his chest. Bradley let out groans at how hard she hitting him.

"Okay, I deserved that" he rubs his chest where she just hit her up and down. "I just didn't want to bother you, sweetheart. I mean, you're in Caltech. So I think you're gonna be so busy about your master's degree" He grabs her arm with two hands and looks at her with puppy dog eyes.

"You're an asshole you know that. You left me." She hit his chest again and hug him. Her voice is cracking and silent tears stream down her cheek. Happy tears and missed tears. She rests her head on his shoulder.

"I know. I'm sorry. I miss you. Please don't cry sweetheart" he circles her shoulder with his arm. He gives her a shoulder squeeze and she responds by tightening her arm around his waist. He inhales and breathes in her scent.

Her smell is still the same as six years ago. The smell he always dreamed of for the past six years.

"So what do they call you now," she asked him, her head still rest on his shoulder.

"Rooster" he said softly.

A snort escaped her lips and the snort turns into a laugh. Her body shakes from the impact.

"What?" Bradley shot her a look when she lifts her head from his shoulder. She still giggled in his grip. Bradley placed his hands on her shoulder. He looked at her with raised eyebrows. She then contain her giggle when she sees someone approach them behind Bradley's shoulder.

A young warrant officer then walks toward them. (Y/N) release her grip from Bradley and stood beside him. Bradley turn around so now he and (Y/N) stand side to side. The young officer gives them a salute before he talked.

"Lieutenant Floyd, they need you inside"

"I'll be there in a second" She gives him a small smile. The Warrant Officer nod and gives her a salute before he walks away. She then her head towards Bradley.

"Okay, I got a job to do" She kiss him on the cheek. "Talk to you later, Rooster" she purred his call sign and give him a wink. She follows where the young officer just walked.

Bradley just stood and freeze at his feet. He touches his cheek and his eyes don't her feature she begins to walk away from him. He watches her until she gets through one of the doors. She still has that effect on him

The "I miss you"s is the most common word in their relationship. Sometimes they never see each other for 3 months. There are face times, but it's not enough. They've to face when they'll not see each other faces because one of them is in the middle of the ocean and the lost signal will prevent them from seeing each other faces or hearing each other voices. This thing can be for days or weeks. And it tortures them sometimes.

Many people see it exhausting and think their relationship never gonna work because one of them will get bored with how often they drift apart. People always say to them, 'you can't be apart from your loved ones'.

But for (Y/N) Floyd and Bradley Bradshaw, their apart is not eternally. There's the reunion. Their favourite thing to do when they'd not see each other for a long time.

The make-up time is always gonna be their favourite. They'll spend their time alone, in their house in San Diego or in their shares apartment in Virginia. Or sometimes they'll going on vacations.

They called it The Make-up Times. The make-up times means fewer clothes at each other embrace. Up all night long, tangled together without interruption, kissing and cuddling. Spending time together in bed.

(Y/N) Thinking about their make-up times make her leg clench together.

When she entered the house, it was so quiet. The sound of waves hitting the sand can be heard outside. The ocean wind passed through the windowsill and sent the curtain to move slightly.

She begins to clean the house and arrange the furniture. She loaded the groceries she had just brought and put them in the fridge.

When she finishes cleaning, the sun begins to go down. She walks to the patio with a mug in her hand. She spots the lazy chair and rests on it. She put the mug on the table beside her. She watches the sun begin to colour the sky with orange colour. After a few minutes of watching the sun, her phone rang. She picks up her phone from the table beside her and sees the caller ID.

Face Time

Without hesitation, she picks up the phone call. Her tired face of husband was displayed on screen. He smiles seeing his wife's face which he hasn't seen directly for 3 weeks.

"Hello, my gorgeous wife..." His voice is a bit raspy but it just makes him sexier.

"Hello to you too my beautiful husband.." she greets him with a wave of her hand. He stared at her a little too long. She tap her screen phone thinking she lost the signal.

"Baby.." she speaks slowly with raised eyebrows.

"Wow, you are so gorgeous. That sunset light on your face makes you glamorous. I'm mortified" there's a spark in his eyes when he talks about her. The sunset light shines on the entire Patio.

She blushed and give him a shy smile. "Thank you" she bit her lower lip. Habit she's doing when she's nervous or feeling overwhelmed

She clears her throat when she sees what her husband still wearing "Where are you? Are you still on the base?" She asked him with raised eyebrows.

"Yeah, it's been a long day" Bradley brought his hand to his hair and comb with it. He then rests his head on the couch arms him.

"Aw.. poor baby. I wish I was there with you" she pouted and jutted her lips

"Don't be sad baby. Your voice is enough to charge my energy. It makes me calm and relaxes." Despite the tiredness on his face, he still gives her his signature cocky smirk. She calls it the Rooster Smirk.

She blushes again hearing his word, her heart beating fast and there's a butterfly in her stomach. "You're such a sap, Bradley Bradshaw"

"Ohh, full name. Am I in trouble Ma'am ?" He used a playful tone and his smirk grow wider.

"Yes, you're in big trouble Lieutenant. Because you and your dorky word make me miss you more" she pointed her finger at her phone and give him a sad smile. Tears tried to spill down from her eyes.

"I miss you too baby." He let out a sad sigh. "How long has been?" His voice grew quiet.

"Three weeks" she gives him a sad smile. She moves her position to her right side.

"It's like three years for me" he gives her a dramatic sigh.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't take this job. Now we have four more weeks before our reunion" the lone tears stream down her cheek. He straightened his position and stared at his sad wife

"Hey, never apologise for something you like to do. I know how passionate you are about working at your job now. You always talk about making something and making a new system for the navy. And now you got what you desired. And don't forget about your title as a captain now." His words is full of concerns" How long has you've been a captain now?" He gives her a pointed look.

"A month," she said weakly. It makes her miss him more. She loves how always supportive he is to her.

"A month? That long? I thought it's been two months" His eyes widen jerk his body slightly. He then make a surprise face which she found funny because she saw his moustache twitch a bit. She giggles at his expression. Bradley then smiles seeing his wife happy and not sad again.

"There's now my gorgeous wife. Don't be sad honey, it's not the first time we do not see each other like this. Our record is still in three months. And this what? just a month" he gives her a reassuring look. Bradley then looks at her wife directly.

"We're gonna through this. And when our reunion comes, I promise you to provide you a never forgotten make-up time in our relationship" his cocky smirk appeared on his face.

"Ohh... I'm counting on it, Rooster" she purred at him and mirror his smirk.

There stared at each other in silence until Bradley remember something he's been meaning to tell her about. "Hey, I've been meaning to tell you about your brother."

"What he'd doing again now?" She let out a sigh. Her brother is a sweet guy. But he can get awkward with people he rarely sees, including Bradley and when he acts awkward he gets clumsy. When Bradley tries to make a chat with him it never ended in a good way. Once that time when Bradley want him to send the pictures of their vacation with (Y/N), he sent the pictures but he accidentally included his mirror selfie in half naked. He was so embarrassed and make Bradley promise to never bring that again. But Bradley is Bradley, after that little incident he straight to tell (Y/N) after that.

The morning after, Vice Admiral Simpson, Admiral Bates, Captain Floyd, and Thomas the Civilian Contractor that escorted her yesterday held a meeting in Admiral Simpson's office. (Y/N) prepare her presentation and begin to illustrate their mission with a screen that attached to the walls.

"The target we're looking for is here" The project of the mountain with a deep valley appears on the screen. There's a radioactive sign in the middle of it.

"It's so small" Thomas chimed.

"That's why the best option to destroy it is using a laser-guided attack with an F-18" Bates give her a pointed look waiting for an explanation.

"Because the GPS is not working in there. And the F-35s in silent mode cannot use in here." She stared at them. Bates and Simpson nodded and tell her to continue. She shifts her gaze to the screen.

"After the laser, the second jet can drop two bombs right on the target."

"Minimum." Simpson chimed to remained her

"Yes, of course, thank you, Admiral. And we need 4 planes flying in pairs. But there's a quite ramp to get out of here. The pilot can clear the missiles at the summit. But when they get outside, there's a dogfight until they get home." The hard look pictures on Simpson and Bates's faces when she finished her presentation. This seems an impossible mission and has something to sacrifice.

"How many succession rates do we have for this mission" Bates pointed his finger to the screen.

"My calculation is 47 per cent" a solemn look planted on their faces. Simpson let out a sigh. He shares a look with Bates that have the same expression as him. Simpson clear his throat

"Um.. we have a few names of pilots that are capable on this mission. We'll call them and..." (Y/N) interrupted Simpson

"I'm sorry Admiral, but we don't want your old pilot, we want you to make something" Simpson raises his eyebrows at her. Bates and Thomas shift their attention to her because of her statement.

"Let's say in the future, we have to face a threat like this again. And our pilot is not ready to face it because there are not many left pilots with a special abilities. And the new pilot have can't manage to take care of it because of their less experience. And we don't want our enemy one step ahead of us. So we need a team who can manage threats like this, who's ready to face the threats like this again." She said it sternly and bends slightly to the table

"We need you to BUILD a team," she finishes her statement with a finger pointing to the table.

Simpson and Bates shared a look and let out sighs. Simpson then tells Thomas to collect all of the Top Gun graduates for him to bring here.

And they spent two hours to find any names that can fit with this mission. Simpson and Bates have already given their recommendations and now is (Y/N) turn.

"I have some recommendations for the pilot who I was worked with" she sorted files in front of her. She begins to slide files one by one to Thomas who sits opposite of her with Simpson and Bates.

"Lieutenant Jacob Seresin, Call sign Hangman" she slides Jacob's file to Thomas.

"Lieutenant Natasha Trace, Call sign Phoenix" she doing the same with Natasha's file.

"And Lieutenant Callie Basset, Call sign Halo"

Thomas begins to collect her file and put it with the rest of the file in front of him.

"And..." Admiral Simpson raises his eyebrows. Waiting for her to continue talking.

"I'm sorry sir?" She purse her lips, a nervous smile planted on her face. She confused about what Simpson is waiting for her.

"You said yourself, Captain, this mission is dangerous and needs the best of the best pilot. We need WSOs and Pilots who have a record of dogfighting in the air. But you give us recommendations of Top Gun Pilot who you don't really know clearly" Admiral Bates stared at her with a stoic expression and shrug of his shoulder.

"I.." her voice trembling a bit. She didn't know what to say. She know what he means, and that terrified her.

Simpson then takes two files in the stack of files in front of him and gives one of them to Bates. They open the files.

"Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw. Call sign Rooster. From Golden Warriors 87. Achievements two Navy Commendation Medal, one Navy/Marine Achievement Corp medal, and three National Defense Service Medal. Have you ever worked with your husband Captain?" Simpson looked at her. He closed the file in his hand and put it back on the table.

"Husband?" Thomas muttered to himself.

"Once, in Iraq, Admiral" her voice is steady and gives them a stoic looked. This is it, the thing that really terrified her. Send her own family to his graves.

"Robert Floyd. Call sign Bob. Achievements Two Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, two Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Two Sea Service Deployment Ribbon" Bates read the file in his hand and shift his gaze to her when he read her brother achievements. (Y/N) just give them an unexpressive expression, waiting for them to finish.

"I know you don't want them to join this mission. But your husband and brother are the best options we have. I put my hope in them and I think they'll capable to join this mission. When they become a Navy, they're a soldier. Soldiers have to serve their country. And this is the time when they have to serve it, and whatever that cost for them to serve it. Do you understand Captain?" Simpson said sternly with a pointed finger to the table. He looks straight at her when he speaks.

"Yes, I understand Admiral" she looks at them still with no expression. Her voice is quiet.

"Good, Thomas you call all of the pilots in that file. Give their squadrons a ring. I want them here tomorrow. We want this mission to be over as soon as possible" Simpson's then stand up followed by Bates and Thomas.

" What about the teacher Sir?" Thomas asks when Simpson begin to walk away.

"I'll tell you soon" Simpson gives (Y/N) one last look. She still avoided eye contact. He then walks out towards the exit with Bates hot in his tail. Thomas watches them disappear behind the door and turn his head to the file. He then begin to sort out the file on the table. He shifts his gaze to (Y/N) when he see her not moving in her seat.

"You okay Ma'am?" Thomas asks (Y/N) who is now sitting down and is deep in thoughts. Thomas's voice startled her and she shot her head towards him. She gives him a small smile and nod of her head.

"Yeah. I'm okay, just... thinking" She pursed her lips and shrug her shoulder. Her voice crack a bit in the end.

"Oh" Thomas clear his throat. There's silence before Thomas speak again.

"I-I.. don't know you're married." His hands still working to sort out the file and he looked at her slightly.

"Yeah. People always think that because I don't wear any ring" she waved his left hand to Thomas and Thomas see her finger is bare without any ring. She lowered her hand to the table and stared at them. She then begins to fidget with his ring finger like there's some kind of imaginary ring on it.

"My husband is clumsy and he always forgets when the last time he put the rings. Afraid he's gonna lost it, I suggest him to wear it as a necklace, and so do I" she pulls a necklace behind his uniform. She lift the necklace that was attached with a dog tag to her face so Thomas can look at it.

"Oh.. congratulations... for.. your married" his stammer a bit and his voice is quiet. He nodded his head towards the necklace in her hand.

"You're two years late for that. But I appreciate it. Thank you Thomas" she gives him breathy laughs and looks at him with a small smile. She stands up and walks toward Thomas.

"I have to make some calls. See you again, Thomas" she patted Thomas's arm and walk towards the door. His eyes follow her. Before she closed the door she gives him a small smile and closed the door in front of her. She then begins to walk toward her office.

Thomas let out a sigh and give her a sad smile even when she can't see it. He let out a long disappointed sigh and collect the file on the table.

sorry for the really long ramble but can i just mention here how happy your turnabout sole fic and turning the cat in the pan fic have made me

i was beaming while reading them! your writing is so good and your art is really pretty! i love how you view the characters it works so well and it's just! really nice!

and in turnabout sole how phoenix just can't help but just be himself even though he's in edgeworth's body it's just like him! and edgeworth struggling to be casual and the agency members being really suspicious like i was actually kinda freaking out along with edgeworth khfjdshewq oh and the reveal at the end was just so funny cuz phoenix just lets it slip because of course he would and it was really just silly and then the love confession at the end got me actually squealing-

and in turning the cat in the pan how the little snippets of the story show edgeworth's growth from being really self-conscious and hateful towards himself to being more comfortable in his own skin and being more accepting of himself was really heartwarming! and phoenix being there to sometimes tease him but still treating him like a human being was so sweet and how he's just so nice to him and just!! i was smiling from ear to ear so much while reading! ill excitingly be waiting for more!

your art and lil comics are really nice!! i love how you portay and draw the characters, it suits them so well and i love your headcanons so much! i haven't played pmd yet, but your aa au of it is really cool! the pokemons fit the characters well, and the story is really cool! i also saw turnabout anachronism and the way both phoenixes reacted suited them really well! present/future phoenix of course just trying to help things from the past since he's just naturally someone who wants to help as much as possible but him also just wanting to go back to his time because he missed what he had! and past phoenix/feenie just freaking out and being happy over everything that happens in the future but also feeling like he didn't belong and was taking all of this away from the present/future phoenix and he just wanted to go back to his own time and he's again just a naturally kind person and it suits him so well!

Ok so because I'm lilith’s bitch we are gonna start with her because her name is so cool and I love her and we should be besties Lilith hmu. Anyways as most people know Lilith is a pre existing mythological character which makes this very much good because that means it’s all outlined. Most people know her as a demonic figure, which I very much dig but similar to our lovely queen of curses out here, that's not all she is. There isn’t going to be a chronological explanation of similarities and conclusions, cope. The basic gist is that Lilith was this chick with fiery red hair (this is important iykyk) who refused to be beneath or below adam, more specifically to subjugate to him, funny because of the tapestry with belos what says subjugation on it, probably a coincidence but I do not believe in coincidence right now. Anyways basically she runs off and becomes this chick who like snatches children and will make them sick if they don’t have an amulet with the names Senoy, Sansenoy, or Semangelof on them, thats a different story but what I find interesting is this one passage,

“(12) Her nobles shall be no more, nor shall kings be proclaimed there; all her princes are gone. (13) Her castles shall be overgrown with thorns, her fortresses with thistles and briers. She shall become an abode for jackals and a haunt for ostriches. (14) Wildcats shall meet with desert beasts, satyrs shall call to one another; There shall the Lilith repose, and find for herself a place to rest. (15) There the hoot owl shall nest and lay eggs, hatch them out and gather them in her shadow; There shall the kites assemble, none shall be missing its mate. And there are separate part of this that I find relevant, especially the description of the location, i’m not all that familiar with symbolism of animals in religious texts, so i’m gonna take it at face value and say that this is more or less a description that could be given to the physical owl house itself, sort of a place for people who don’t fit in, its a little messy and I guess one could say overgrown, but it’s a place for anyone, a place to rest now hopefully for Lilith away from the coven, there shall the Lilith repose. On top of that we see the “the hoot owl…” and you’re probably thinking what that so crazy wacko because like why are they referring to Lilith as the hoot owl isn't Eda the owl lady, yes she is. That’s why the actual meanings of lilith’s name that come from her mythological depiction as a demon lady are so important. We have night monster, night owl, night spectre, vampires, night hag, night creature, nightjar (which is another kind of bird), and night bird, all of these seem to fit lilith’s dark aesthetic very nicely which is very good for her, but there are two other ones, hot owl and screech owl, which draw her closer to Edaand away from the coven and her depiction in the mid-later episodes of the show as a monster for cursing eda, but also the name night monster could come into play if while sharing the curse Lilith acquired some of its traits, similar to Ed aas the owl beast. Ultimately, we have this little red head girl who eventually fights back against the men who are attempting to get her to be under them, for the character that is belos, for the other Lilith that is adam, god, and his angels, and now hopefully both of them will find solace and repose among the owls in a place they never thought they’d belong. All this talk of owls and god brings us into the other clawthorne baddie:

Lilith did find her repose! I love her staying in the owl house, get it queen oh yuh.

EDA

For this I'm going to use her full name edalyn, because you know like that’s just how it be it is her name. There isn’t a wiki page for her name like there is for Lilith which makes this a little bit harder but the general consensus seems to be that it means something along the lines of “gift of god”, which I find very interesting. If you are going to name a child gift of god i’m assuming that you are referring to the child themselves, but I don’t think that really applies to eda. I’m not religious, but its my impression that someone who lies, cheats, pranks, and steals their way to the top and isn’t exactly the most responsible witch on the isles and might not be the best gift god could give. I do really love Eda though, her character flaws are still a part of her character, but I think this refers to her powers. Eda considers herself to be the boiling isles gift to magic, which I mean like, have you seen the woman. In agony of a witch we see her at what probably 30% of her power with how much the curse was already tolling on her and how much magic she was probably using to fight it off, and like goddamn. She was almost beating lilith, definitely beating the shit out of her, but she was almost defeating Lilith who was at her full power, and that is just a fraction of what she used to be able to do. Her powers were a gift of god, and I think that the loss of them will greatly affect her. She’s already admitted that she doesn’t know how to do much without her magic, and I think going straight from the second most powerful witch on this isles to having no power at all is going to be incredibly taxing on her, physically and mentally.

Luckily for her the name edalyn also means patience, another thing about her name is that it not only means gift of god, but also similar things like gifted by the gods or even goddess, and this draws a connection to Lilith who is named after a demonic figure, casted out for having defied god, they are quite literally polar opposites on the name spectrum, and we see that a lot in the show, they are completely different people, I mean have you looked at them they don’t even look related, but the funnier thing is that their personalities do the same thing. You’d expect Edain her youth to be a gift from the devil, just ask principal bump, and Lilith seemed to be a goody two shoes who worked her ass off, their names could be switched based off their characters alone.

A random baby name site I found said that :

Which I mean like very much applies to eda, she takes change like a champ, either genuinely or by pretending she’s ok with everything, and is always seeking excitement. Like literally all of the time. Always. I think she takes felonies as a compliment, and one of the biggest changes in her life that she genuinely was able to adapt to and appreciate was

OH MY GOD HER LEARNING THE NEW GLYPHS WAS SO CUUUUTTTEEE, I love her being able to adapt, she really is doing well. As the beginning of separate tides shows, she’s working around it, and is doing a damn good job, living up to her name.

LUZ

Ok I think at this point everyone knows that at this point the name Luz means light, and if you didn't, oopsies now you do. The character Luz was named and designed after a real life person the miss dana terrace knew at the time she was starting to really think about the show, Luz ’s personalty comes more from dana herself and we love that, but the character has really started to grow into her name. This is made most obvious when the first spell Luz learns is the light glyph, not only coming into her own as a witch, but also starting to live up to her name, which along with light also has to do with “Our Lady of Light”, which is the virgin mary, fitting her right in with the other biblical names we got going on here. I really want to stress that I know next to zero about religion, and all of the connections I am making come from wikipedia, so bare with me here. But most of the time mary seems to be this pure, saint like figure, which I think is what a lot of people see Luz as, especially on the isles. I’m going to flat out say that this is in no way meant to pass off Luz as simple minded, pure, or oblivious, because we have seen what that girl is willing to do, she faced death and poked him in the with an ice cicle. In terms of life on the isles, however, she is more or less pure and sheltered, she’s completely new to the world she’s in, but she does quickly adapt, and shows more of her strong side, and remains a good person throughout all of it, taking losses as they come, and not letting them remain losses at the same time.

Back to the whole light thing, we already touched on the whole literal bit of her and the light spell, but can you think of a better way to describe Luz ? She literally brings light everywhere she goes, even Eda admits that she’s changed things for the better, for everyone around her too. Willow got a new friend, probably the first friend she’s had in a long time, and even got to begin repairing her relationship with amity, and got placed in the plant track so she could do the things she loves, all because of Luz . Edagot to grow as a person and a mentor, and finally got someone willing to accept all her eda-ness, unconditionally, someone to really care about that really cares about her back, all because of Luz . Amity got a friend who cares about her, not just her family name and money, someone who supports her and will do anything for her because she is her friend, and a bit of self discovery along the way for amity, all because of Luz . Not a single person on the isles who has had more than 2 minutes of interaction with Luz hasn’t had their lives improved, even belos got his portal, and the thing is that even characters who people might not even consider changed have been, characters such as

Luz my beloved, she seems a little bit less of a light this season, and i do mean little. That’s totally fine though, it’s expected, i didn’t want her to just be this bright shining star after the events of the last two episodes of season 1, and appreciate her going and starting to take the fantasy of the isles with more than just a grain of salt. Obviously like in escaping expulsion, she’s still trying her best to make everything better and make friends with everyone, but there’s something a little different about it and i’m here for it tbh.

KING

The name king itself is obvious, he is royalty, the king of demoNS HIMSELF ASMODEUS hahahaha pulled a sneaky on you now accept my ideas as your own. I am on a mythological name kick, deal with it. The most important thing here is in the bible, asmodeus poses himself as a false god, which I know is something we have all considered with king, that he might be a full on liar, not be a king of anything and is just your ordinary street demon, it’s even come up in the show with him calling himself the king of artists and Luz asking him if he was just making it up at this point. It’s a good theory, I can see it, and this could be used as proof. There is also another legend that paints him as a good natured dude, who eventually banishes the king by literally throwing him, and then he loses his powers and is banished, but this is also the same legend where he marries Lilith and that is not something I am down for. There is another text in which he tells the king (the same one he threw in the other one) that his kingdom will one day be divided and the king does not believe him, and this is the same text where he admits to hating water and birds because they remind him of god. Lets think class, who has the god name and is related to birds here? King’s name by itself holds true to his character, who (regardless of if it is truthful or not) holds himself as if he is a king, and he isn't the only one with a name like that, there is also

WILLOW

Ok I know we all thought it, willow, the plant girl, how fiendishly clever. This also happens to be the only descriptor for her name I could find, which is totally fine because I think it’s a very cute name and willow is also very cute. This means we get to go into the symbolism of the willow tree wwwooooOOOOO aren’t you so very excited I know I am. Its kind of interesting, willow trees seem to match the character, understanding, warm, a safe space really, but most of all the ability to let go of pain and suffering, sometimes outright ignore it, and move on. Willow does always say out of sight out of mind does she not? She is willing to ignore, even excuse people bullying her, be it bosha or even amity, and the moment she got the chance her inner willow decided to try and literally burn the painful memories she had, willing to cause damage just to forget. Willow as a character is very willing to move on like nothing happened most of the time, key word most because another thing about willows is the ability to grow from the pain. Before understanding willow, we never really saw willow stand up for herself until she really had to, but hy the end of the episode she is willing to tell amity that she isn’t willing to fully forgive her, but she’s willing to grow and try. Heck, we see this over the entire first season, we see this little girl who can barely pull it together long enough to stand up for herself grow into this amazing character willing to publicly oppose the emperor and break into his castle for her friend, she tried to full out attack Lilith when 19 episodes earlier she wasn’t able to stand up to amity for bullying her. And I am in no way calling willow weak, she never was, she just needed to find the ability to show everyone that she’s strong, god I love willow so much, you wanna know who else loves willow?

GUS

Gus, my main man, love you but for this we are gonna have to use the full on augustus sorry babes. The name augustus means majestic, or venerable, which while I must say that the illusion of kiki doing the worm was probably one of the most majestic things I have ever seen, I’m going to focus on venerable a bit more here. Venerable is a big word, it means “accorded a great deal of respect, especially because of age, wisdom, or character.”, which for gus the age part might play a smaller part here, but he is good as what he does, Luz and willow both respect him, Eda Respects him, he’s this little dude who is younger than everyone and has to rely on his ability to succeed, not only with his power but with his personality. Gus seems to be confident in himself, communicating with everyone regardless of who they are or what power they hold, similarly to willow he was willing to do anything to help Luz , leading into the second description of venerable, “heroic in nature”. Now, you might be wondering, bestie where ever did you get that description, it totally wasn’t from a religious page okyesitwas but that's fine because being pronounced venerable guarantees a spot in heaven so get it bestie. Overall, the general meaning for augustus is that they are strong, respectable, and powerful, which takes us right into the

Gus, shawty, ily but please stop the obsession with death babes ur starting to scare me. I hope with the upcoming Gus content in TTLGR we will see more of him growing into his powers and such.

ASSORTED BLIGHTS

The blight first names bring me joy so I am putting amity last because I think its really funny, starting off with alador, the name alador evokes diplomacy, correctness, and confidence. We know zilch about alador, but if the vibes of the blight family have anything to say it’s definitely something along those lines. The name odalia means wealth, which I mean like have you seeeen blight manor? Also back at it again with the fact that it’s a variant of the name odilia, like the saint olilia which I don't have ties for you right now because again, we know nothing about her. Edric also means wealth, fortune, riches, powerful, you get the vibes, same thing with emira which means commander, or prince, princess, leader, or star. So you know like we have all these super powerful names happening, and then, oh boy and then we get to little miss perfect herself, amity blight. It means friendship, or harmony. If I was her I would be so mad at my parents like yall have these mad powerful names and I got stuck with friendship? Hand me the emancipation papers. You know what they say, friendship is the real magic (even if no longer taught in schools due to budget constraints). I hope that this leads more into season 2 with amity working on her friendships and ultimately her relationships in general, which we got a bit of already with her working on repairing her relationship with willow, and making the moves to cut off old toxic friendships and moving into more genuine ones with willow, Luz , and gus. I guess you could say that the only thing ALL the blights have in common with each other is their

The only thing about alador that lives up to his name is his money, odalia seems more obsessed with image and money, and i too am obsessed with her image literally boy what the hell boy.

LAST NAME

BLIGHT

The word blight by itself means a plant disease which boy oh boy can you believe how nicely that fits into amity bullying willow because I sure can. Outside of just the plant bit it overall just means like something that damages another thing, and this works beautifully for each member of the family. The parents are damaging their children, the twins just causing general damage, and amity and her goddamn relationships, but fortunately that whole plant thing brings us into the next couple of last names

CLAWTHORNE

The last name clawthorne means “cold or exposed thorn tree” which had me kind of like what the heck so I went off and had some fun and got you some presents that I think are funny, so there was this guy right, his name was joseph clawthorne, and he created the term whiffenpoof, which is the name for a wildly fictitious animal, things like a jackalope, or even a griffin with spider breath, though I guess that would be the work of a

NOCEDA

Back again with the trees good lord, it means field of nut trees, so again I went into prominent people an found this guy named jorge noceda sanchez, he was a painter and some of his works are kinda baller actually it seems like something that would fit in on the isles, but also not all of the names have a deeper meanings, names like

Ok I am like pretty sure this was just meant to be a play on the fact that gus’ dad’s name is perry and is a reporter, get it, perry porter, perry porter, reporter, but nonetheless I did some digging because why the heck not, it means doorkeeper, or gate keeper, someone who guards something like an important building, which honestly I think this would be a good last name for hooty if he ever gets one, but again not all of these are important names at the moment, or maybe they won't ever be at all, names like

At first I was kinda like l m a o willow park plant girl hahahahah plants in the park parks have trees willow is a tree but then I remembered that someone pointed out that park is a traditionally korean surname and then like a week later disney posted about it for aisian pacific american heritage month which kind of confirmed it, and I don’t know if the whole intention behind it was to establish willow as representation or not, but the surname park by itself means gourd and willow I am so sorry that is so unfortunate LMAOSIFN

BIIIITCH LISTEN UPPPP there is a butt tone of mythology surrounding his name and its mostly a different form of it, belus, that is referenced, but same thing different shape. Most of his depiction is as a great king or ruler, in babylonian mythology being the equivalent of zeus of jupiter, which liiikkkkkeeeoajolnjojnkjakjavnjfvdfkjf but its fine everything is great its all ok most importantly, he is recognized as the god or ruler of war, and in that same mythology he lived in babylon, which “... was originally water, and called a sea. But Belus put an end to this, and assigned a district to each, and surrounded Babylon with a wall; and at the appointed time he disappeared.” and idk about you but the smell of him assigning a divide and disappearing smells sour like funky to me babes

B-but brevyn he was only there for like one episode, yeah ok and? Radegast is the slavic god of hospitality, and there is no host like a host that pretends to take you on a mythical quest and then tries to eat you and your mentor and her deranged cat demon, ok? His name translates to “dear guest” or “welcomed guest” and I mean I think if my host tried to suck me into some fantasy would delusion i’d feel pretty welcomed

First and foremost, she is a little night gremlin who hates children and I think that really fits her, but she is also a little house demon, who is very difficult to get to leave, have we seen her outside the castle? Will she be a spy along with the mask next season? She also has a name that means nightmare or night demon, similar to a certain other night creature we might have heard of a while ago. She tried to strangle children and I love that for her,and she is described as a little old ugly messy haired lady and I feel like her current character has the personality of one so i’ll take it, but what really gets me is her villain origin story, which is that she "grows up with a magician in the mountains. From dawn to sunset the magician’s cat regales Kikimora with fantastic tales of ancient times and faraway places, as Kikimora rocks in a cradle made of crystal. It takes her seven years to reach maturity, by which time her head is no larger than a thimble and her body no wider than a strand of straw. Kikimora spins flax from dusk and to dawn, with evil intentions for the world.”

GWENDOLYN

Ok, the queen herself, haven’t met her yet but like who knows. Not really a whole lot here (my ears are ringing oops one sec ok i’m back hi) anyways um uh rings? Her name right off the bat has a lot to do with rings, and really that only applies to eda, because her ring was a big thing for her, she gave it to lilith, we all watched wing it like witches you know what’s up, but i mean like was that gwen’s ring? I really wanted the hand on eda’s wall to be gwen’s, very upset to see she has all of her body parts so far. I am also not sure if that’s how it’s spelled, but it means the same thing anyways. Also meaning fair or blessed, any woman who created both eda and lilith is probably mad powerful and we love to see it, also she’s a beastkeeper and i like i want to talk about that with eda’s curse but now is not the time for shenanigans (that’s a lie every time is the time for shenanigans i’m just exhausted)

RAYNE

Bitch, sorry, ok listen like um sidebar I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS CHARACTER AND YOU ALL NEED TO KNOW IT but also at this point i’m not really sure about this character, is this their name, is that even how it’s spelled, girl idfk but like whooptydooo I do what I want so cope. Right now, we are assuming that they are the new bard coven head character, and like let me tell you the way that I am fully pissing my pants atm like bestie, anyways, if spelled rayne, then it means counsel or song, and this is why, do you see why this is why we spell it like this? It’s also scandanavian which means like nothing but it’s cool. This spelling fits because like counsel, head of the bard coven, you get it it’s fine, and then song, also head of the bard coven, you know. It fits so well, especially since this is supposed to be a friend from eda’s past, and like is supposed to try and recruit eda for a rebellion against the emperor in the episode eda’s requiem, i cannot convey to you how goddamn excited I am like there are not enough words in this realm or any others to tell you how prepared i am for this character to rock my world.

Rambling Review Episode 33

So..... what can I say apart from it was not good, not the worst, but just frustrating.  I looked at my watch after an hour and thought, oh well this next hour will definitely lead somewhere, and of course it didn’t.

Interesting that after Seline and Deniz found Serkan and Eda in the cabin asleep in each others arms, that all she could scream about was he had missed her birthday, not sure if she forgot her lines but she said it many times!!  And of course it was all Eda’s fault, Serkan is starting to see another side of Seline, how she talks nastily to Eda and isn’t even interested in following her into the night when she storms away.  I am wondering if Serkan heard Deniz talking to Eda about the “game”, as he was on the verandah and the door to the cabin was open.

Finally Eda has a new car and whipped Serkans ass in the race!

Seline checking herself out in the car mirror before getting out the car to see Deniz, definitely something going to happen there.  The sooner the better, they are both evil.  I just don’t see the attraction these women have for Deniz, he always looks like he needs a good wash to me! 

Seline knows how to play the victim game and will take every opportunity to make Serkan feel bad about the cabin.  And we see if almost immediately when he call a meeting to give Seline 5% of his shares

She makes a point of refusing them so she does not look like Eda (taking the shares just cos she was with Serkan).  Of course in the end she accepts, but insists Serkan controls everything, this woman is so dangerous and knows exactly what to say.

Serkans mind is confused at the moment with thoughts of Eda, he has no idea he is falling in love with her as he doesn’t know what love feels like. He was about to sign the document Engin gave him without checking it first and he forgot that Layla said she would be out of the office for a few days.

When Engin confronts him he admits he cant stop thinking about her, her scent confuses him and he does not know what is happening.  He is getting flashbacks from the past which he is not sure are true or not.  Engin tells him he must decide, return to Eda, or marry Seline as it is not fair to either of them

He lets Seline go off into the night from the cabin, but Eda leaves the office after the shares meeting and he actively seeks her out!  He can see love in her eyes, which she denies, but speaking to herself she is still so in love with him but needs him to take a step forward.  Then Deniz who is always lurking interrupts them, he is so creepy and annoying, Eda did not seem pleased that he arrived.

Again when Eda leaves the office and doesn’t say where she is going, he finds out from Erdem where she has gone and follows her there.  Its so nice to see them doing something together and laughing, we need Edser back together, its been too long.  Again creepy Deniz arrives and sniffs Edas neck, that was so ugh and even Eda was shocked.   Seline is also watching them from her car, does anyone in Art Life actually work.

Seline deliberately crashing her car shows how psycho she is and the lengths she will go to gets Serkans attention away from Eda.  Despite Eda asking if there is anything she can do to help, Seline snaps back at her that she wants nothing from her, this doesn’t go unnoticed by Serkan. He is slowly realising that Eda is not this manipulative, cruel woman Seline has portrayed to him, and perhaps makes it easier for him to realise why he is thinking about her all the time.

I hate seeing Seline at Serkans apartment, she is really loving the attention after the crash, but is too stupid to see he is not even sitting next to her and is deep in thought about Eda.  

Ferit and Melo still the only two outstanding characters since the amnesia plot started.  Ferit still bringing Ceren coffee and trying to convince Seline not to go running after Serkan.

I am really not sure why Serkan suddenly decided he wanted Melo and Ceren to set up a surprise dinner for him and Eda, perhaps its what Engin said about deciding who he wants to be with, 

He brushes Seline off with excuses of matters to sort out when she unexpectedly turns up at his apartment wanting to go for dinner, so of course she does the usual thing and follows him.  For Seline this is not about loving Serkan, I don’t believe she does, obsessed yes, but not in love, this is about revenge on Eda for being happy with him, she never got that Serkan when she was dating him.

We see photos of Deniz and Seline kissing being delivered at Art Life, and there has been much speculation on who is behind it, I have heard Ferit, Leyla, Ceren and even a spy for Babanne!  We see Seline opening the envelope in the next episode but it is not clear if anyone else has seen them ie Serkan or Eda, and these photos will be the start of the downfall for Seline and Deniz, hopefully they will be gone in Episode 35.

The kiss in the restaurant is real, even though we all assumed it was a dream so lets see how Serkan explains why he did it.

We are getting the promised falling in love of E and S, but with so little screen time its getting frustrating as they are meant to be the lead characters and appeared for less than 30 minutes in this episode.  i am not even going to mention AAS scenes, honestly they weren’t bad, but too much screen time.  Pryl is getting on my last nerve with her screeching and whining and her storyline was so pointless, i have never been a big fan of hers, and Engin is just wasted in this story line.

The amnesia plot would be easier to tolerate if we did not have Seline and Deniz ruining every one of S and E scenes together, its enough.  Seline and Serkan have been together longer that Edser which is absolutely ridiculous.  Fans are getting vocal and downhearted, twitter is burning with hatred for Seline, Deniz and Serkan right now.  I have never seen such negativity and I cant blame people, they love this show and it is being ruined by bad writing , ratings are tumbling and if its true about a big meeting at Fox on Monday about the shows future then I am worried.  The only thing keeping this show together is the popularity of Hande and Kerem and the other cast and crew members.  The new writers and production team need to listen to the fans who watch the show, they need to know that the show is losing its charm, and why is there so little marketing.  The two fragmans showed nothing, and while i appreciate they want to keep some things a secret, they also need to entice viewers to watch the show live on Saturday.  And get rid of Selin and Deniz, they serve no purpose and have overstayed their welcome.

No worries! I was busy with school too so late reply too ahaha. Ahhh These are really good questions! Don't mind me just rambling on ahah. So because Focaccia is based on me, her family is south Asian and they also immigrated North America/Canada at some point before she moved away to Italy for work. Her family is basically a typical south Asian immigrant one and she does have one younger brother. She misses her younger brother a lot because he didn't treat her different for having a stand and didn't understand the complications. Mostly thought she was talking about an imaginary friend. So I think that would be her fav family member! As for her marriage (she uses she/her and they/them pronouns!) I haven't thought of all of it yet but I hc that she had 2 weddings. Basically a south Asian Muslim wedding and an Italian Jewish wedding (thanks to Jewish Pros hc from @lasquadrasfuckhouse). I like to think they happened in 2 different locations like one in Canada where her family lives an another in Italy with the rest of La Squadra but I'm not sure how possible that is realistically LOL

Also yes!!! I love that about their code names the fact that their real name becomes special because of it! And yess I absolutely love the mentor / mentee type relationship Pros could have with his s/o. Her feelings for him go through lots of changes! She's just a civilian at first so she's scared of him. But then she starts to admire him very much because of how he carries himself. He's scary but treats her tenderly and gets into her personal space saying he believes in her etc. that really changes her feelings for him because no one believed in her like he does before and she finds herself caring for him very much too and wanting him to relax / smile more often. Also bahaha exactly !!

Damian hates art show, but love you.

~~~ Damian always hated art shows and charity parties that when with them. He would do everything in his power to skip or leave the party early. He hated the people, the clothes, and the popups attuite that came with the art shows but then he met you.

You were a young and naïve artist that just moved to Gotham, and just started working at an art center. He bumped into you as he was trying to sneak out, but quickly forget about it when he met your eyes and you quickly stumped out an apology. 

You had the most beautiful eyes and an amazing smile.

The two of you just kept talking for the rest of the night about anything and everything. But the event was soon ending and for once Damian was disappointed that he had to leave.

“When will I see you again?” He asked as the two of you walked towards the parking lot. He didn’t want to stop talking to you, so he lied saying his car was in the parking lot just like you.

“Well,” you said pausing to think “the next art show is in a few weeks. I can text you the details.”

“Sounds great!” he said with a smile.

As you drove away he couldn’t believe that for once in his life he was excited to go the some stupid charity party. He couldn’t stop smiling even after he got into the limo that Alfred was driving.

“Your a little late, sir“ the butler said with a cocked eyebrow.

The younger Wayne was about to say something when he saw the time. He told Alfred he was going to sneak out at 11 pm, but it was 2 am. Not only was he three hours late but he also missed his patrol shift.

“I got a little tied up.“ Damian said defensibly.

“That is want Master Dick said all the time when hung out with members of the opposite sex at charity events.“ Alfred said as he drove away from the art show.

Damian wanted to say something back but thought better of it. He knew he was going to get an earful from the team when he got back home and didn’t want it to start now. Pulling out his phone to see if you had texted him information of the next show, he also looked at the roster of events the boys had to go to.

Long ago to save a head ache, Bruce came up with an assignment system for who has to go to what events, it was to keep the peace in the house and work around patrols schedules, but truth be told it was a tool that the boys where threatened with if they didn’t get along. 

No one in the Wayne house like going to Charity events for the same reasons Damian didn’t like going but that was going to change.

No one at the Wayne house really noticed at first, that Damian was trying to get more charity events. Or that the shows were most with or hosted by Peterson Art Charity. None of them wanted to go so they were happy to listen to his poor excuse and give him the event. It wasn’t until Bruce called them all in did they see what was going on.

“What the hell you guys?“ Bruce said to the three Wayne boys, “Why is Damian going to all the events? I thought we had a deal.”

“We did,“ Dick said.

“Yea but Damian said something about need that day blah,blah, lame excuse.” Jason said dismissably, “All I know is that is instead of dealing with stuck up brats, I got to patrol and I beat up some bad guys.”

“Lol same,“ Tim said with a smile, ”I tried to give him all my days but he only want somedays. Hell he even offer to double up and do the later patrol shift so that I didn’t say anything.“

“He did the same thing for me to,“ Dick said.

“Is the little Demon ditching them and blaming it on us?“ Jason said “Because if that the case-“

“No, he isn’t.“ Bruce said, signing, “I just wanted to know why all I see in the social column is Damian and his alleged girlfriend, and not any of you and your alleged girlfriends.“

“You check the social column?“ Tim said with confusion, “Why would you do that to yourself?”

“To see what the hell you guys did this week to piss off the press.“

“I know what we can do!“ Dick said.

“I alright don’t like this,“ Bruce said putting is head in his hands.

Damian hated ever minute of the social part he had to do before he saw you. Smile and nodded to the racist old lady opinion on the world. Pretend to listen to some old guy talk about the stock market. Dance with the girls that only wanted his money. But when he saw you the world stopped, and it didn’t matter that he had a stupid suit or painful shoes, what matter was the time you to spent together.

He didn’t what you dragged into the fire storm that is the social gossip world because the two of you where seen outside of the charity events. And if someone snapped a picture of them together he always placed and anonymous phone call the next day saying he saw Damian kissing some high society girl which broke the news for the next week or two.

You didn’t seem to mind. You were so focused on your art that you couldn’t really met expect for at events. Plus you really didn’t watch or read the news so you didn’t know that the guy you where hanging out with was a Wayne. You were just happy to see him at all your shows or events, and always like the fact you had someone to talk to that wasn’t someone from work or a snooty art person saying that your art was bad.

The two of you had just saw each other when the door to the event swung out, showing something Damian hated more than a stupid art show.

All of his brothers and sisters was here dress to the nines in gowns and suit, but his father stole the show with Selina Kyle on his arm and in a kickass suit. Everyone is the room was taken aback by their sudden appears and marveled at how good they look, but Damian almost shit himself.

He didn’t need to be super close to his father to see the look in his eyes.

It was his Batman eyes, meaning he was on a mission, and Damian didn’t need to think super hard why he or his family was here.

“I can’t believe the Waynes are here,“ a small voice said causing Damian to almost lose it.

That voice was you.

You looked amazing and he almost got lost in you smile, but he mental smacked himself. He need a plan and quick otherwise he was going to get embarrassed in front of you and he didn’t want that.

“Did you do all you socially thingys for work?“ you asked.

“Yep,“ Damian said turning his back to his family. Hoping the wouldn’t see him.

“Come on then!“ you said with a smile, and grabbed his hand causing him to blush. “I have something to show you.“

Damian forgot about his family and let you drag him away from the main hallway and into a small side room. He knew where he was going before you even took him there.

All the famous artist where in the main hall and all the lesser know was in side rooms. He was getting taken to a side room with your art. You were talking ecstatically about your art.

Apparently some anonymous person had bought all your art before the show even started. Damian smiled to himself, proud that he had caused you such glee.

“But that doesn’t matter“ you kept rambling on as the two of you stop in front of a piece of art. “What do you think?“

It was a beautiful piece of a man and a woman under a lamp light in the middle of a city. The two of them where holding hands and kissing, and Damian was at a lost for words.

“I don’t know what to say,“ he whispered.

“How about thank you?“ you said shyly.

Damian turned to you in confusion. You were blushing and not looking at him.

“What do you mean?“

“Well . . .I. . .umm.. ..aaa made it for you.“ you quickly whispered still not looking at him.

Damian reach out and lightly turned you face towards him.

“Say that again, my love.“

Now you were a bright shade of red and still not meeting his eyes but you said it again, but this time a little louder.

“I made it for you.“

“You didn’t have to.“ Damian said matching your voice level.

“Well you always say you want a piece but whenever I have a show all the art is sold before you ever get one, so I told the studio that all of them but this one is for sale because it saw going to go to you.“ You spoke so fast and all at once. Damian that it was cute when you got all fluster but he knew that if he didn’t stop you would have keep rambling until you ran out of breath. Damian politely cut you cut by putting one finger on your lips.

“It beautiful and I love it Y/N, but I have a confession to make.“

“You do?“ you said looking up at his with your mesmerizing (eye color) eyes. Damian got lost for a second but tried to quickly recovered.

“I. . .umm.. .aa. . .“

“What is it?“ you looked worried but before Damian could say something, someone else chimed in.

“Yea, Damian,“ a voice said “What is it?“

Never had Damian been filled with more rage then at that second.

The two of you looked up to see Dick, Jason, and Tim lending in on the door way. They had a smug ass look at Damian wanted to punch right off their face.

“Get the hell out of here“ Damian said through gritted teeth, shooting dagger at his brothers.

“Well that would be rude!“ Dick said as he and his brother walked over toward you. “We haven’t even introduced our selves.“

Dick forced himself between the two of you to “shake your hand” but Damian knew it was to piss him off.

“I’m Dick, Damian’s older brother, other there is his other brother Jason,“

Jason waved.

“and his other other brother Tim.“

“Pleasure.“ Tim said taking you hand and kissing it.

You give Damian a weird look.

“You’re related to the Wayne Men.“

“Oh he didn’t tell you that.“ Jason said with a smile as he wrapped his arm around Damian’s neck. “That doesn’t sound like our little Damian.”

Damian wanted to kill them all but Dick opened his mouth.

“Well I know something that our little Damian would do!“ Dick said with a smile “He would have told you that he keeps buying all of your art and hanging it in his apartment.“

“When did you go to my apartment!“ Damian snapped.

“On the way over!“ Tim said in a manner of fact voice, and he turned back to you, “And may I say what beautiful pieces they are. I wish Damian would let the world see them.“

“I am going to kill the three of you.“ Damian growled.

“Now, now, Damian!“ Jason said “Didn’t I teach you better than to plan a murder out loud.“

Damian was so beyond done with his brothers bullshit and was about to cruse them out when he saw you straighten up and someone clear their voice.

“Evening, sons“ Bruce said, causing the older boys to jump apart. 

Bruce was by himself with a glass of champagne. On the outside he looked like to cool, laid back playboy the media saw but Damian could tell by way he was standing that he was in a mood.

“Hi, Bruce,“ they all said, expect Damian.

“Father.” he said curtly.

“Damian,” Bruce said looking at his son with a cocked eyebrow. “You know we were all going to this party tonight, right? You didn’t need to drive yourself down here tonight, we were waiting for you at your apartment for an hour.”

No, he didn’t know that, but he knew that Bruce was lying about that last part. They had search his apartment not doubt and figured out where he was and decided to make a scene.

“I’m so sorry, Father,“ Damian said matching his fathers gaze. “I didn’t know.“

Bruce signed and looked at his older sons. They were trying their hardest not to do anything draw attention, but they were doing a bad job. They were shooting knowing looks and giggling.

“Got out of here and stop annoying you brother.“ Bruce said putting his face in his hand. The three of them ran out laughing like school boys, leaving Bruce with and annoyed looked.

He turned towards you and took your hand.

“I don’t believe we have been properly introduced. My name is Bruce Wayne, I’m Damian’s father.“ Bruce said and kissed you hand.

You just stood and started at him, speechless. It took a minute before you spoke, and when you did Damian wanted to die.

“I see,“ you said in a high breathless voice, causing Bruce to raise an eyebrow.

There was another awkward pause before you realized you were supposed to say your name, but instead you rambled.

“Oh, yes... umm... I’m so sorry, I was thinking. It just kind of happened all at once. I am still trying to understand what exactly is-”

Damian moved quietly next to you and grabbed your hand, and spoke for you.

“Y/N,” Damian said in a confident voice meant to tell his father to back down and to help calm you down. “They are a pretty amazing artist, and the person I love.“

Bruce looked at you and then to his son and gave a soft smile.

“Well, it is nice to have finally have met you, Y/N,“ Bruce said “I hope to see you at the manor sometime soon.“

ATHENA Recording from the drop-off point, at long last, this is Officer Athena Romero with Omnitarian Establishment Crew #0137-F. It's only been just over an hour since my last log, but we're here. We're here, and now we just have to camp out, and wait for the rest of our supplies. It'll be some downtime well-earned, I think.

ALEX I'd say so.

ALEX Okay, so you uh... know about that whole thing?

ATHENA 'Whole thing'? You mean when you were like... one of the biggest names in sporting sim gaming for years, plural? Yeah, I figured it out. Me and the others in the forces, we didn't really have anything else to keep up with, so we got very much into keeping up with those tournaments.

ALEX Alright, alright. Just thought I'd be able to keep my nerdiness a secret from my crew for a little while longer.

ATHENA Why bother? I mean, if I was as good as you at that stuff, I...realizing as she says itI never would've stopped.

ALEX I guess I just... the same as you. I thought of it as my job, after a while. It started as a way to help me cope with my anxiety, and then, I guess it turned out that I was good at it, and liked it. I liked it a lot.

But I got married, and then we were gonna have a kid, and-

ATHENA Wait, you're married?

ALEX I was. Me and Gabriel split up, a little while after our son, Orion, was born.

ATHENA Oh... that's too bad.

ALEX Oh, it's fine, really. Gabe's amazing, honestly, we both just... wanted different things out of life. It just wasn't working for us to be married anymore. Now we're friends. We're friends that used to be married, and friends that have a son that we love more than anything in the world. And I can't say I mind it, as long as I know they're both waiting for me back home.

ATHENA Wow. I mean, that sounds... that sounds like all you could hope for.

ALEX Yeah... yeah, I guess it is.

[sfx: forest ambiance]

MILES This is stupid. We haven't seen anything fly overhead since we got here.

FELIX Hey, hello, uh, you know the decree of the Game of Bird.

[C41′s BOOT UP JINGLE PLAYS]

C41 "They who question the sanctity of Bird will be disqualified from all future matches of Bird on the basis of disloyalty and heathendom," Miles.

FELIX And don't you forget it.

MILES I know, I know, for the millionth time, I know.

C41 Then don't go getting yourself disqualified.

MILES Hold on, was that... an encouragement?

C41 Of course not. I just like to see a good match-

MILES Okay, cause for a second there, it sorta sounded like a-

[sfx: bird caws]

FELIX BIRD! 

[sfx: a bell dinging cue]

C41 That's one point to the distinguished Couvillion gentleman.

MILES Please tell me you're not going to do that every time someone gets a point.

C41 Don't be silly! I'm not going to do it for you!

MILES Why do I even bother? It's not like-

C41 Shh. Eyes on the prize, er, sky. Whatever. Bird now, talk later.

MILES Fine.There's a long silence. 

[sfx: forest ambiance for a prolonged period]

[The three of them sigh at varying points.]

[sfx: bird song, a glitch, static]

FELIX Bir- rd?

MILES What are you talking about, there's nothing there!

C41 I mean, I'll still give you the point.

FELIX Sorry, sorry, I... eyes were playing a trick on me there.

[sfx: prolonged forest ambiance]

MILES Sooo... uh, this is getting boring fast.

C41 "They who question the sanctity of Bird-"

MILES Not what I meant! I just meant...

FELIX There does seem to be a disturbing lack of birds.

MILES Well... uh... we could play 'I Spy'.

FELIX No, no. We can't allow the shine to wear off that quickly.

[sfx: retrieving from a bag, clicks]

MILES I feel like binoculars are cheating.

FELIX Eh. Using available resources.

C41 Does it count as cheating if there aren't any birds to see?

MILES Okay, but if there were.

C41 But there aren't.

MILES Okay, but if one shows, he can like-

FELIX And it may not end up being worth the hypothetical, if our luck continues.

MILES Just making conversation.

[sfx: prolonged ambiance]

MILES So... how about this weather?

C41 Really?

MILES What? It's called small talk, ever heard of it?

C41 Sure I have. My sources tell me that it's nothing remarkable. In fact, that seems to be the whole point of it, yes?

MILES Well, I guess... not everything needs to seem 'remarkable' to be... worthwhile.

C41 Sure. Take yourself for example.

MILES You know what-

FELIX You know, I believe that might be a backhanded compliment, Officer Abbott.

C41 How dare you.

FELIX Meant nothing by it, my voltaic friend.

C41 Then you know what's good for you.

[Felix chuckles.]

MILES Yeah, right, tough guy.

C41 I'm sure I don't know what you mean. I can be intimidating, that is, when I'm not asleep in my-

FELIX Nest!

C41 What?

FELIX Nest. Up there, on your left, riiiight- There.The group's eyes land on a large nest in a nearby tree.

MILES You think there's any in there?

FELIX According to what I've learned, the season would be right for quite a few baby birds.

So, I mean, if there were... to be... lots of baby birds... I should probably get a closer look. For... research.

MILES And I could help with your research. I mean... I could help you count.

FELIX Oh, no, I mean that's uh...

It'll be quite the climb to get there, so I wouldn't ask you to-

MILES Pssh. What are friends for? You said earlier you weren't feeling so good, anyways, so like... I can go check on those birds. For science.

FELIX Oh, no, I feel fine, thank you. I think a climb might actually do me some-

MILES Here, you hold Cally. I'm climbing.

FELIX Good.

C41 Wait, what? Also, it's Cal.

MILES I'm gonna go see those birds.

[sfx: footsteps running off]

FELIX HEY! NOT FAIR.

You stay right here, Cal. I've got a tree to climb.

[sfx: footsteps running off]

C41 Well, it's not like I'm going anywhere- Wait, wait! Doctor Couvillion? Officer Abbott?! Felix? Miles? Oh, the Commander is going to be so mad at you!beat, meek...Guys?

[C41′s BOOT-DOWN JINGLE PLAYS]

[Alex and Athena laugh.]

ALEX No, no, you're kidding me. Stuck?

ATHENA Completely! Okay, okay, so you have to understand, Patroclus C? It's a freezing cold rock. A moon.

ALEX Nothing homey about it?

ATHENA No! No redeeming qualities! We used to call it the Snowball. So, so, so: there I am, and my sister is just screaming bloody murder with her tongue stuck to the side of the transport.

ALEX And did someone lose a tongue that day?

ATHENA Somehow, no! I had to run back to the house for hot water and leave her there, and I swear her tears were frozen to her cheeks by the time I got back and we managed to get her off the thing! God, it was awful. So the chilly mornings around here? They're nice.

ALEX And you've got the charming anecdotes to prove it, starshine.

Oh, is... is that okay? If I call you that? It's just... it came to me, and I thought it suited you. But if you don't like it-

ATHENA Oh! Oh, no, I... it's fine. I like it. It's sweet.

ALEX Okay. Okay, good.

I just figured, you know, it might... we're gonna be out here for a long time. I want to be friends with you guys, with... you. If that's what you... all want too.

ATHENA I think I'd like that, Alex. 

Can I ask you something?

ALEX Sure, if I can ask you something after.

ATHENA Oh?

ALEX Yeah, no, I had like... a question or whatever for you too, but you totally, uh, you go first.

ATHENA Okay. Sure. So, uh... here's the thing. How do you... how do you know how to find the course?

ALEX ... What?

ATHENA How do you know where we're going?

ALEX I thought you were military. They don't teach you the way-

ATHENA Not exactly. How do you know where we need to go?

ALEX Oh. Oh I... okay. I think I get it. Well, I... it started off as trial and error, right? Even when I was just picking up the patterns in my games, or anywhere else, I just would have to take what I saw and turn that inward into something I could say was the truth.

So when I had to start figuring out how pieces of the world and their patterns sorta... fit with other pieces of the world into a bigger conversation, it... I mean it wasn't easy. I don't even wanna say it was comfortable. But it was something I could be confident in, at least.

And, these days, if I don't feel confident in it... I mean, I don't feel confident in it all the time, that's actually what I should've led with. Because, like, how could I be? When things, patterns, don't add up sometimes, it feels like something is lying to me. But at least I've been doing this long enough, that I know that I don't have to trek back and learn the patterns from square one anymore. I can... take it in backwards steps.

I can seem like I'm confident in what needs to happen, and then maybe some part of me can take that little signal boost and make me feel confident. And then, if I feel confident, maybe I'll find the pattern I didn't know in the first place, and that'll feel enough like the truth to me. It'll be enough to get us by. To get me by.

But... that's just me. Sometimes I think everyone has a different way of listening for the truth, you know?

Is... is that what you were asking?

ATHENA Uh-huh. Your turn.

ALEX Okay, now, tell me the truth on this one, Romero: do you actually need to record all of those logs?

ATHENA I'm sorry?

ALEX Dude, do you have to actually do them, or is it just like your diary?

[Athena laughs.]

ATHENA Hey! What's that supposed to mean?

ALEX I mean, no judging-

ATHENA I'm the chronicler, sir, that's my job.

ALEX Alright, Officer, alright. I'll take your word for it. But if you ever wanna try out some new monologue material on something, or someone who isn't a comms, you know where to find me-

ATHENA Yeah, yeah, I'll keep that in-

[sfx: a tree branch breaking]

[Miles and Felix scream]

[sfx: a thud]

ATHENA (CONT'D) Mind. Should we be... running about this?

ALEX Running fast, Romero.

[sfx: forest ambiance, a campfire]

FELIX, MILES (in unison) Owwwwwww.

ALEX You two... are going... to be.. the death of me.

FELIX, MILES (in unison) Owwwwwwwwwwwww.

C41 Yeah, yeah 'ow'. Traitors.

ALEXHold still... for just a second.

FELIX Once more, with feeling?

MILES Sure. Why not?

FELIX, MILES (in unison) Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

ATHENA Officer Athena Romero recording. Still Day 28. Second first aid stop of the day. We had a tree incident. Or a gravity incident, involving a tree, I guess.

C41 You two are lucky you didn't break a leg. Or that I didn't get carried off by some dinosaur, leaving me there like that, Felix! How could you?

FELIX I... I... I'm sorry, I'm so weak-

ALEX Ah, save it, Couvillion. Not like you need your strength for much else. Speaking of which-

I'd like to propose a toast. To some time off, to finally making it to the rendezvous point where we await our booty, and to... I don't know, to no more falling out of trees, and no more backwards steps.

FELIX Here, here!

ATHENA Cheers!

MILES Cheers.

C41 Bon appetit.

ATHENA So, Cal, when can we expect for the shipment to get here?

C41 Oh, in about... three-

(distorted and ragged)

Four- three, three,- expect, no, three, seven, no, no, no expect, no, three, two, two- ERROR, retrieval denied, ERROR- ERROR, no, two three-

ATHENA Miles? Are they okay?

MILES Cally? Cal? What's wrong? Come on buddy, hello?

FELIX What is this?

MILES I don't know, they've never done this before, I-

[C41′s BOOT UP JINGLE PLAYS]

C41 Bon appetit! Sorry, you were saying? Oh, right, the shipment. Should be around three days.

MILES ... Cal? You... you okay? You weren't messing with your code again, were you?

C41 And if I was?

MILES Cal-

C41 Kidding, kidding. Joke, funny, haha. No, I wasn't, I swear. Probably just a brief malfunction, whatever it is you're talking about. I feel great!

MILES Okay. If... if you say so.

C41 But I am, like, suuuper tired, gee, I think I need some rest, okayeveryonegoodnightbutnotthetraitorswhoabandonedme! Kisses!

[C41′s BOOT DOWN JINGLE PLAYS]

ALEX I think that's the cue for everyone got some rest, huh? Sleep in tomorrow?

FELIX Oh, I'll drink to that.

ALEX Then let's go for lights out, booboo crew.

[sfx: retreating footsteps]

ALEX If you need to do a log, starshine, just make sure to put the fire out when you're finished, alright?

ATHENA Always do, Alex.

ALEX Yeah, you're right. You always do. Goodnight.

ATHENA

ATHENA (CONT'D) You know, I... I don't even know if I have something I need to talk about tonight. I'm exhausted from the journey, and you already know all about that, HQ.

I don't know. Seems like trouble follows us wherever we go, but at least that's something to count on.

But like I said, I think I'm going to try something new tonight. I'm feeling inspired. Tonight, I'm just going to look up at the sky, and I think... I think I'm going to look for a pattern that feels true.
