Why Timely Office Refurbishment Matters in Sydney?
Office refurbishment is more than just a cosmetic makeover; it's a strategic move that can significantly impact your business in Sydney, Australia. In a dynamic and competitive business environment, maintaining a functional and visually appealing office space is essential for success. In this article, we'll explore why timely office renovation Sydney matters and how it can benefit your organization in various ways.
First Impressions Count
In business, first impressions matter immensely. Your office space is often the first point of contact for clients, partners, and potential employees. A well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing office can leave a positive and lasting impression. It conveys professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence, all of which can contribute to building trust and credibility in the eyes of stakeholders.
Productivity and Employee Morale
The design and layout of your office can directly impact employee productivity and morale. A dated and uninspiring workspace can lead to decreased motivation and engagement among your staff. On the other hand, a refurbished office that incorporates modern design elements, ergonomic furniture, and a comfortable environment can boost productivity and employee satisfaction. When the employees enjoy being in their workplace, they are more likely to perform at their best.
Adaptation to Evolving Needs
Businesses evolve over time, and so do their space requirements. As your company grows or changes its focus, your office space needs may change as well. Timely office refurbishment allows you to adapt to these evolving needs. Whether it's creating additional workspace, reconfiguring existing layouts, or incorporating technology upgrades, a refurbished office can better accommodate your organization's changing demands.
Enhanced Collaboration
Modern office designs often prioritize collaboration and teamwork. Open layouts, communal areas, and flexible workspaces are common features in contemporary offices. By refurbishing your office space to include these elements, you encourage collaboration among your employees. Enhanced collaboration can lead to increased innovation, problem-solving, and overall efficiency in your organization.
Health and Well-being
Employee well-being is a growing concern for businesses in Sydney. A well-designed office can contribute to the health and well-being of your employees. Features such as natural lighting, proper ventilation, ergonomic furniture, and access to green spaces can promote physical and mental health. Investing in the well-being of your workforce can result in reduced absenteeism and higher job satisfaction.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
Sustainability is an essential consideration in today's business world. A timely office refurbishment can incorporate energy-efficient lighting, heating, and cooling systems, as well as sustainable materials and practices. It not only reduces your organization's environmental footprint but can also lead to cost savings in terms of energy bills and maintenance.
Compliance and Safety
Building codes and regulations can change over time. An outdated office space may no longer meet the required safety and accessibility standards. By refurbishing your office, you can ensure it complies with all relevant codes and regulations, providing a safe and accessible environment for employees and visitors.
Brand Image and Identity
Your office space is an extension of your brand. A well-designed and branded office can reinforce your company's identity and values. It can help create a cohesive and consistent brand image that resonates with clients, partners, and employees. This branding can set you apart in a competitive market and strengthen brand recognition.
Cost Savings
While office refurbishment requires an initial investment, it can lead to long-term cost savings. Energy-efficient upgrades, improved space utilization, and reduced maintenance requirements can all contribute to lower operational costs over time. Additionally, a refreshed office can attract and retain top talent, reducing recruitment and training expenses.
Competitive Advantage
In a competitive business environment like Sydney, having a modern and attractive office can give you a competitive advantage. It can make your organization more appealing to potential clients, partners, and employees. A well-designed office can demonstrate that your company is forward-thinking and committed to excellence, which can set you apart from competitors.
Future-Proofing
By refurbishing your office with flexibility and scalability in mind, you can future-proof your workspace. It means that as your organization continues to evolve and grow, your office can adapt to meet those changes without the need for frequent and disruptive renovations. Future-proofing your office space is a strategic investment that can save you time and money in the long run.
Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility
Sustainability and corporate responsibility are increasingly important to both businesses and consumers. A timely office refurbishment Sydney incorporating sustainable design elements and practices can demonstrate your commitment to environmental stewardship. It can be a positive factor in attracting environmentally conscious clients and partners.
Conclusion
Timely office refurbishment is not just a matter of aesthetics; it's a strategic decision that can positively impact your business in Sydney. From creating a favourable first impression to boosting productivity, enhancing collaboration and demonstrating corporate responsibility, the benefits of refurbishing your office are numerous.
In a dynamic and competitive business landscape, staying ahead requires adaptability and a commitment to excellence. Your office space is a reflection of your organization's values and priorities. By investing in its design and functionality, you invest in the success and future growth of your business in Sydney, ensuring that it remains a vibrant and competitive player in the market. So, if you haven't considered it yet, now might be the perfect time to embark on a timely office refurbishment journey that will bring lasting benefits to your organization.

hi! i'd like to ask for a whiskey with carmen berzatto with prompt m. Keeping the relationship a secret
thank you <3
Lovesick.
warnings - not quite smut, but a little smooching. cursing.
ah sweet carmen. thank you for this request <3
3k celebration post here. 3k masterlist here.
"Behind!"
Carmy's fingertips graze across your back as he walks past you, featherlight and barely there.
It sets your nerves on fire.
You carry on slicing the tomatoes, mentally willing yourself to calm down. You seem to turn into a teenager when Carmy's around, all giggly and jumpy.
"Time for you to take a break," a warm voice mutters in your ear.
"I've got like an hour before I need a break, Carm."
"I said, time for you to take a break."
He presses a gentle kiss to your ear, chuckling when he sees you shiver. To anyone else, it looks like he's just giving you direction.
"I'll meet you in the office in five," you whisper. He's satisfied with your answer, slinking off to wait for you.
You barely make it to two minutes before you're walking across the kitchen, gliding through the door and closing it behind you.
Two rough hands find your hips, pushing you up against the wall. Carmy smashes his lips to yours, using your startled gasp as opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. You tangle your fingers into his hair, tugging and pulling recklessly. Your leg hitches up around his thigh, desperate to get closer to him.
"You're all I can think about," Carmy whispers against your mouth. "Can't focus on a fuckin' thing when you're in the room."
You whine, tugging him back to kiss you again. You know this is risky. But you just can't help yourself.
"Come over tonight," you murmur. "Want you to fuck me to sleep."
He throws his head back and groans, gorgeous neck exposed and waiting to be bitten. You lean in and lick the expanse of it, tasting the salt on his skin.
Carmy brings a warm hand up to rest against your throat, smirking when you whine. He presses kisses to the spot under your ear, your neck, your collarbones. Just as he's trying to unbutton your shirt, the door swings open, scaring the life out of you both.
You shriek as Carmy jumps, light filling the tiny room.
"Well well well," Richie drawls, grin etched across his face. "What do we have here?"
"Is Carmy there? I need to ask him about-"
Sydney stops dead in her tracks, the corners of her lips curling.
"Does anyone else wanna come and fuckin' look?" Carmy groans, snapping at the two people stood in the doorway.
You hide your face in his chest, willing them to leave you alone. Or for the ground to swallow you up. Either works.
"Alright, alright. Let's leave these lovesick kids alone."
You never thought you'd see the day that Richie was your saving grace.
The minute the door swings closed, you can't help but break out into a fit of giggles. Carmy joins you, both of you crying tears of laughter.
Lovesick. He's probably right.

Experimental: 22 Weeks
Yazan could not understand why his belly continued to grow, even as he was cutting down on his meals, increasing his exercise frequency, and anything else he could do to make the belly disappear.
The following weeks were a blur of working out for three hours every evening, six days a week, plus cutting out all fats and sugars and going on a strict low carb diet. The only thing the changes did to Yazan was make him more tired and stressed at work. Plus, the belly kept growing.
He was sitting in his office at the hospital, absent-mindedly rubbing the belly when he felt flutters within his stomach. He gasped, and was in such shock that he leapt to the sink nearby and threw up his poor excuse of a lunch.
Randy was hoping to ask Yazan about a patient of his, and knocked on Yazan’s office door. He peered inside when Yazan responded with a groan, and saw Yazan perched over his sink, spitting out the last of his vomit.
“You’ve really got to get this bug checked out, Yaz.”
“Something moved.”
“What?”
“I mean it, something moved. Come here and feel this.” Yazan unbuttoned his tight shirt to expose his belly. Randy was firstly surprised with how round and globe-like Yazan’s belly looked. Yazan always focused on fitness, so seeing him go from just a bulk to something more extreme meant his mental health was rough, he was highly stressed, or a rapidly growing gastrointestinal cancer. He walked towards Yazan and prodded the belly, feeling that it wasn’t soft like regular abdominal fat. Instead, it felt solid. Then he felt it - a brief flutter. He looked up at Yazan in confusion. “You felt that too, right? I swear, I’m not going crazy!”
“Let’s go across to imaging, shall we?” Randy offered. Yazan groaned, not because of the need to go and find out what was happening, but because it meant he needed to try and button his shirt again, which was getting harder each day.
“Let me know when you’re done moaning!” Randy said as he was walking out of Yazan’s office. Yazan chuckled and got himself ready. He could feel pressure building on his back, so used his palm to apply some pressure to his lower back, which seemed to help as he started moving towards the imaging ward.
Once in imaging, he saw Randy already set up with the ultrasound machine. “You know the drill: shirt off, belt off, lay down and deep breaths.” Randy occasionally considered working in radiology, but found his main calling in paediatrics. Regardless, it felt second nature to him using the various machines, such as ultrasounds.
Randy squeezed some gel onto the wand, and started towards the lower front area of Yazan’s belly, near his belly button. The answer was almost instantaneous.
“What the fuck is that?” Yazan asked.
“1… 2…”
“Randy, why are you counting…”
“Shh, 3…”
“Don’t you fucking dare shush me!”
“4 foetuses.”
Yazan fainted almost instantly.
***
Mike was growing more and more nervous with the lack of content he saw on Yazan’s social media. I really hope there are no serious complications from whatever is happening, Mike thought. After three more days of limited content aside from text-only Instagram stories, he decided to bite the bullet and message Yazan.
Hey there Yazan, not too sure if you remember me, but I’m Mike, the Australian doctor you met while in Sydney for the medical conference. I was wondering if you were free for a video call sometime soon, just to see how you’re going…
Yazan was sitting at home, feeling the odd flitter of movement in his belly when he felt a buzz from his phone. “Instagram: New message from @drmikeallred” As soon as Yazan saw the message from Mike and clicked on his Instagram profile, the dinner at the Oxford Hotel immediately came to mind.
“I was living my normal life when I suddenly had this hot flush… and then had this urge to be fucked by anyone… and now I have four babies in me? Wasn’t Mike one of those researchers on… male pregnancy? Oh hell no!”
He ignored the message. There’s no fucking way Mike is the one who caused all this, Yazan screamed.
***
Each morning, Yazan woke up feeling his stomach stretching more tightly than the previous day. He found it astounding that he probably wasn’t even half-way through the pregnancy and already felt like he was full-term with a single baby. Any vague sense of relief he had from lying in bed immediately disappeared when he sat up and gravity caused his belly to drop into his lap. From there, the babies would start to wake up and stretch by pummeling his stomach and diaphragm.
He eventually got up from his king bed and slowly walked his way to his bathroom. Every time he flicked the lights on, he was gobsmacked by the growing belly and its gradual transformation. He started to notice every crevice, every hint of stretch marks and his losing battle to maintain his fitness.
Yazan swayed sideways to see how much further his stomach extends. He can vaguely see the top half of his feet when he looks down, but he knows it’s only a matter of time before he loses the ability to see his feet too. One of his babies moves at that moment, and he looks back up towards the mirror to see the ripple across his belly. He shudders.
While looking up, he notices his pecs are starting to soften, and that his nipples are now a darker shade of pink. He lifts one of his pecs up and notices his pec feels slightly fatter than before. He dreads how much more will change with them.
After his morning care routine, he eventually got dressed into his work clothes, which in itself has become more of a struggle than before. He started ordering some larger shirts a couple of weeks ago, but even those shirts burst at the seams trying to keep his belly in place. He resorted to buying “Big and Tall” branded shirts to try and keep some sort of dignity, even though he never thought he’d have to wear those types of shirts, unless he went down the route of becoming a bodybuilder. At the moment, his pants feel fine, aside from his butt and thighs feeling slightly thicker.
Yazan’s patients were starting to notice the sudden growth around his belly. “Looks like you could use some of the advice you give us, Dr Yazan!” one of his patients joked.
“Ah, well…” and just as he was about to continue, Yazan briefly gasped as one of the babies moved around the top of his stomach aggressively. The patient raised one of his eyebrows at Dr Yazan, who looked back at the patient sheepishly.
How much fucking longer, Yazan thought.
***
How much fucking longer, Mike thought. Yazan hadn’t replied to his message for weeks at this point, and he was getting more nervous that something had gone terribly wrong for Yazan. All Mike wanted to do was check that Yazan was alive, and that if he was pregnant for some miraculous reason, he was okay.
One lazy Thursday evening after a day at the research lab at the university, Mike got a reply back from Yazan.
Hey, sorry for not replying sooner. Some things have popped up recently… Are you free for a chat soon?
Mike immediately leapt at the message. He got a video call request from Yazan, and with a deep breath swiped to accept the call. Mike saw Yazan in a white singlet that appeared tighter than usual. However, he could only see from the chest up.
“Hello there, stranger.” Mike tried to say suavely.
“Hello. Let me just start by saying that I don’t know what is really happening, but…”
Yazan swapped the camera around to show him standing in front of his bathroom mirror. Mike’s eyes bulged when he saw what he could only describe as a gigantic belly that is barely covered by his super tight white singlet. He had only seen these sizes when he was helping women carrying multiples. But there’s no way -
“... there are four in here.”
“Wh-what?”
“You heard me. FOUR! I have either four humans, or four fucking aliens, growing inside me. You better tell me what’s going on!”
Mike was genuinely speechless. His experiment was not meant to work. The hormones shouldn’t be lasting this long, let alone remain strong enough to sustain a pregnancy. Multiples? It should be impossible. And yet, here he was looking at a man that he had a one night stand with, carrying quadruplets. “D-Do you know how far along you are?”
“According to my friend Randy, I should be about half-way now, so I guess around 22 or 23 weeks?”
“Normally for quadruplets, ‘full-term’ is really around 28 weeks, so I guess you won’t be carrying them for much longer?”
“Are those really your words of support?”
“Sorry… Do you reckon you could come back to Australia? I want to check that you, and the babies, are healthy.”
Plus maybe write up some detailed observations for the next paper - for good measure - Mike thought.
“Do you think I’m really going to be cleared to fly in my condition?”
“Bring your friend Randy. He’s a doctor, get him to medically clear you.”
“Are you crazy?!”
“Clearly I am, because a man shouldn’t be pregnant, and yet here you are, so I might as well keep on going and see it in the flesh.”
Yazan chuckled, but it cut short with a jab at his side from one of the babies. He brought the camera down to show the ripples across the belly. Mike was mesmerised. He did that to the hottest male doctor from the United States.
“Look, I’ll think about it and let you know, alright?”
“Thanks, Yazan. But please, don’t be a stranger...”
“Alright, Mike. Chat soon.”
***
Randy was walking through the hospital wards when he decided to slip by Yazan’s office. He couldn’t quite believe it when he did the ultrasound of Yazan’s belly. Four babies? How was this even possible? Is Yazan intersex? Is this an ectopic pregnancy? Surely the pregnancy would not be viable beyond the first trimester, yet he’s now about 24 weeks along based on when he went to the conference in Sydney?
All these thoughts were swirling around in his head, but there was one thought that kept springing to mind: I want to be there for him.
Randy has always wanted kids for as long as he could remember. When he realised he was gay as a teen, it was one of the first things he worried about in the process of telling friends and eventually his family. How would he become a father?
Yazan being pregnant - weird as it was to say out loud - gives Randy an option. He had no idea whether Yazan wanted to keep the kids or give them up for adoption. If he says he doesn’t want them, Randy was more than ready to become the four babies’ father.
Randy got to Yazan’s office and knocked.
“Come in!”
Randy walked in and saw Yazan leaning against a bench. He was wearing one of the last sweaters that could stretch tightly across his bump. There was no denying that he was pregnant. He could even see his pecs look slightly perkier than before.
Maybe Yazan is intersex?
“When you’re done gawking at me, you can answer my question!” Yazan said.
“Oh, sorry Yaz! It’s just…”
“Yeah, I know, it’s pretty weird.” Yazan smirked at Randy. Randy smiled back.
Randy’s newest thought? I think I want to have kids with Yazan.

Dad Carm bringing his baby to the restaurant and she’s babbling on his arm and he’s such a proud dad to her,
"Jeff!" Tina frowns when she sees him, pushing the swinging door open. "Thought it was your day off- oh! Look who you brought with you!" Her voice raises to a sweet tone, high pitched and light when she sees Teddy.
"Forgot to order a few things, so I'll just be in the office." Carmen nodded, hoisting the eight month old to his other hip so Tina could coo at her.
"Oh, she's getting so big. I can't believe it." Tina sighed, grinning and babbling along with the baby.
"I know. She's moved up in size again in all her clothes." You sighed, running a hand over Teddy's soft curls. "She's gotten so long." You giggle, watching as she stretched at that moment, nearly hitting Carmen in the nose.
Tina beamed. "She is. Growing so big, aren't you!" She laughed, tickling Teddy's tummy, grinning at her toothy smile. "Oh, look at all those teeth. Are they still coming in?"
"A few." Carmen hummed. "They don't hurt as bad. She's not cryin' as much about them."
"That's good." Tina nodded. "Normally the back ones are the worst because they can't reach them, ya know?" At that moment, Teddy broke out in a fit of babbles, blabbering mindlessly and excitedly to Tina, tongue clicking against her mouth with tiny shrills. "Oh, you do know, don't you? Don't you, pretty girl?"
You and Carmen beamed, the tiny coos of whatever baby language Teddy was clamoring away in filling the space. "Oh, she's gotten so talkative, huh?" Tina laughed, letting Teddy shake her finger with her tiny fists.
"Yeah, she loves to talk now." You grin. "She likes to watch herself talk too. I put her in front of a mirror and she'll just go crazy talking." You laugh, finger running down Teddy's soft cheek lovingly. She couldn't actually speak yet, but at the rate she was trying, you figured she might very early.
"She's very cute, Mama. I can see why Carmen's always running home now." Tina winked at Carmen playfully. "Finally got him away from this place."
"Finally." You grin, snaking a hand around Carmen's waist.
Carmen rolled his eyes lightly. "D'you have everything for tonight, Chef? Richie and Sugar are covering front of house, and Sydney is-"
"-Yes, I got it, Jeff. Jeez." Tina rolled her eyes. "Stop worrying about us. Go get your shit done and spend time with your girls." She waved him off, holding the swinging door open for him.
Carmen shook his head, snorting lightly as Tina yelled, harsh and commanding for the chefs to move. "Get out of the way, alright! Everyone stop, let Jeff and the baby get through!" They stopped at her command, going rigid while Carmen moved towards the office, Teddy laughing and humming with each step.

Fun Carmy
Fun Carmy is relaxed Carmy, the other one is Logan, his social alter ego.
I was wondering if Carmy ever had a day of fun in whole life because IMO he has always been that anxious lil kid around others, that we saw in Fishes (02X06), I’m sure. He’s better at the tête-à-tête like the one he briefly had with Michelle that evening
OR as part of small close-knit groups, like that scene in the kitchen (Ceres 01x06).
These assumptions, I think, are also completely backed up by his S1 -Emmy Winning- monologue (Braciole 01x08).
And what I ended up realizing is that FUN CARMEN is not the one we might think we haven’t really seen yet, and that fun for him does NOT look like it may look for us or for a more extrovert type of person.
I happen to be listening to Nina as I type this, and she once said:
I think that quote fits Carmy and his "sense of fun" perfectly.
Fun Carmy is relaxed Carmy, and at peace Carmy.
This is fun Carmy
Fun for Carmy doesn't look like this
Fun Carmy is relaxed Carmy
Logan is not "fun", he is actually a source of anxiety for Carmy, and that's why he can't keep him "on" for long. He wasn't lying when he said he wasn't remotely OK at the party (Pop 02x05) because at that point he hadn't turned Logan on yet.
Logan is "The other one", the one most people would label as "fun", because it better fits the social CONSTRUCT of what fun looks like, but Logan Fernello Berzatto is actually his functional alter-ego.
His functional or social alter - ego explained from a behaviorist perspective
We all have functional alter egos, this is related to the PERSONAL constructs concept developed by Psychologist George Kelly. These are formed at a fairly early age, even well within our 20s we are still forming our personalities and constructs or ideas of how the world works and what everything means, and thus how we should interact with and/or react to this world we live in, in other words, how to adapt or not to our environment. Then comes our career that can prolong this formative period even more, for instance, celebs of any age are required to have an alter ego for those occasions on which they have to "turn it on" for the camera or the stage → "the stage persona" that is NEVER the same person as the real one behind the wheel of the "functional alter-ego" and this persona has been formed based on their ideal of what has worked best for them in the past, what their PR team or Managers require of them to get them jobs, etc. They may come across as genuine and relatable but celebs are usually always "on" when we see them even off camera, so they are not, not completely. We all have the "office construct", the "school construct", the "mom chat group construct", etc. That is actually a sign of being well-adjusted to fit in society, and that is why we do not act the exact same way in all those different situations even though we are the same person, because we are not the same "persona" and that's OK. It's not a sign of phoniness, or lack of honesty, although it can definitely turn into that and become dysfunctional when there's an underlying mental health disorder, although it doesn't always turn out like that, thank dog!
In Carmy's case in particular, he can handle Logan and turn him on / off at will, which means he's in that aspect still well-adjusted despite his multiple mental health conditions, probably because none of them is a personality disorder, so it's safe to assume that he somewhat knows what's he's doing, he's choosing it to a certain extent and it's not 100% unconscious, only partially.
His lines are becoming blurry because he let Syd in, whether he admits it or not. And deep down, he knows this but he's not fully willing to go there (yet). That's what S4 is for.
This aligns with the rest of his behavior I already went over in previous posts:
Fun Carmy is the one that California, Copenhagen, and Chicago post-Sydney Adamu brought out in him. He's what most people, not me, would call relaxed, chilled, etc.
Relaxed Carmy, at peace Carmy, coloring Carmy, talking about food and cracking lil jokes under a table Carmy, is FUN CARMY.
We know him already. We've seen him. He just turns him off when he's The Bear or Logan.

Robin: Would help with the lemonade stand
Avery: Feels very uneasy around
Eden: Also terrified of
Alex: Not allowed on the farm anymore, but only cause the chickens bully him too much
Sophie
Kylar: Also feels kinda bad he's always alone... maybe brings him a snack here and there
Whitney: Whitney very quickly realized he was out of his depth.. For once, pray for this man
Sydney: Thinks he's a sweetheart! Would be gentle with him <3.... Would not be gentle with C!Syd cause he's freaky like that... On a related note, is probably Sirris' #1 customer
Robin: Goes mom-friend mode, maybe dotes a little too much though
Avery: Avery wishes he could handle her
Eden: Would feel a bit bad about him being all alone in the woods, might also go mom-mode with, the thought of tiny little Sophie scolding him makes me giggle
Alex: Would think he's nice, I could see her liking to help with the animals
Cammie
Kylar: Is creeped out by him, stays away as far as possible
Whitney: Like Gavin, is terrified of him, avoids at all cost
Sydney: Thinks he's really nice! Would be very easily flustered by C!Syd though
Robin: Would probably get along the best with tbh, I see them being sweet friends uvu
Avery: Ducking through alleyways to avoid, leave her alone pls
Eden: Is never stepping foot in the forest ever again qvo
Alex: I could see her volunteering at the farm! Probably helping with smaller livestock
Jazz
Kylar: Keeps a close eye on him, very suspicious
Whitney: Having absolutely none of his BS... Probably suplexes him at one point
Sydney: No strong opinions of, happy he's not much of a trouble maker
Robin: .... Are we sure this isn't one of the campers?
Avery: Shoots him down point blank and tells him to piss off
Eden: Battle for dominance lmao
Alex: Probably has some sort of deal going where campers can come to his farm for educational stuff
Dante
Kylar: 'ThatBoyAin'tRight'
Whitney: Has probably punched him out
Sydney: No strong opinions of tbh
Robin: Dad mode
Avery: Just turns and walks away without saying anything
Eden: Staring into the camera like in the office
Alex: Don't really see much interaction between the two

Are you the Final Girl?
Slasher!Orc X Reader
Chapter 7
Masterlist <--- Full list of TWS. For this Chapter: Another body is discovered in a similar way to Jennifers', bloody pool, police investigation.
After you’d taken off your makeup and mourning clothes, you crashed straight into bed, energy completely depleted of the days events.
You didn’t even realise that so much could go on, that all that emotional strain could have fit into so little hours during the day.
When you awoke again, your eyes were sore and stung as they dried out at the cold October air.
You shivered, taking a look at your phone that you had put on the nightstand. Thankfully, no more messages from Sydney had come through.
Although it stung to realise that she was the one behind the anonymous accounts, it was a relief to know that those messages would finally stop coming through now.
It was just coming up to six o’clock in the morning, and you had a class at 8am on the dot.
Rubbing your eyes, you sat up and began to get ready for the day. You applied eyedrops, then moved onto hair, trying to let the eyedrops be for as long as possible before you started on your makeup.
When you’d finished, you packed your bag and set off for the day.
The chilly misty morning made you shiver, making you shove your hands into your coat pockets and walk briskly down the street from your accommodation and to the campus.
Your stomach began to churn. Frowning, you looked over your shoulder. No one else occupied the street except you and a few passing cars, headlights beaming out from the fog and fading away as the passed you.
“There’s nothing wrong.” You reassured yourself. “There’s nothing going on here.”
And with that, you continued on. But your stomach still felt tense as if something was very, very wrong.
When you finally arrived at the campus, you understood why you felt so uneasy.
Police Officers littered the campus, their cars parked in the spots usually reserved for Professors and Lecturers.
The Officers spoke to your fellow students, all of them holding small notepads and pens and taking statements from any students who may have only just arrived at the campus grounds.
As you watched the spectacle, an officer approached you. A tall man with a thick handle bar moustache.
“You’re (Y/N) (L/N), correct?” He asked, his voice a low grumble.
“Um… yes?” You raised an eyebrow. “Is everything okay?”
The Officer jerked his head, “follow me. You’re needed at the crime scene.”
Your eyes widened, but you followed the man in uniform.
Why on Earth would you been needed at a crime scene? Unless…
You shoved that unpleasant thought away, walking past the science building, past the Mathematics block before you finally arrived at the Gymnaisium.
Your frown deepened, as the Officer asked that you put on some plastic shoe covers and gloves to match, as well as leave your bag at the door. You did so, handing your bag to another Officer guarding the door.
Following the Officer inside, you walked through the gym, where thick, red liquid splattered against the farthest most wall, then trailed across to the door that lead to the swimming pool at the corner of the room.
You begged internally, please no. Please not another person.
People in full, white body suits and gas masks were taking pictures, setting down numbered stands and taking swabs of the liquid.
“Our head detective would like to speak with you.” The Officer said, bringing your attention back to your own situation.
You reached the swimming pool door and the Officer opened it for you, “since you saw your first friend,” he said, “I doubt that you’ll have the same reaction to this one.”
His words made your stomach drop. Without another word, you strode past him and into the pool room.
You fought to hold in the scream that tried to escape you.
The humidity of the pool hit you like a tone of bricks, a strong iron smell following afterwords and that made you gag.
Where the clear blue pool should have been, had been drained and replaced with a sea of red that sloshed menacingly, as if hoping another victim will fall into it’s choppy waters.
In the pool itself, floating, pasty white and drained of all colour, was the body of Sydney. She was still dressed in her work out clothes, the same that you had seen her in the day before.
First Jennifer, and now Sydney?
“Ah, perfect timing!” A man in a beige trench coat waved at you cheerily, like you were old friends meeting for the first time in years.
His attitude was completely out of place given the circumstances.
He was an older man, wore the same gloves and shoe covers as you did, but his attire was a lot more formal, suit and tie with smart trousers. “I’m Detective Heath, head of the investigation regarding your friends’ murdered, Miss (L/N).” He approached and showed you his badge.
“She’s not my friend.” Was the first thing that left your lips. You gasped and slapped your hands over your mouth, but the Detective just laughed.
“So, we’re off to a good start already with this one!” He smiled, “we now know that you and Sydney didn’t get along!”
“It’s… it’s not like that.” You said, looking away from the Detective. You watched as a few people in the same white overalls used a pool net to reel in the corpse like they were trying to play hook the duck with the corpse.
“Care to say more?” The Detective asked, tilting his head. “And while you’re here, it would be of great help to me if you could tell me about the history leading up to this.”
You told the Detective all of the events that led up to this moment, what happened after the funeral, Malike and the fight with Sydney. He nodded politely, listening closely to you as the coroners bagged up the body and removed it from the pool room.
“So, the one behind the dummy accounts, was Sydney.” He said, vaguely.
“Yes.”
The Detective hummed, rubbing his chin while looking you up and down. “And your other friend, Jennifer, died while you were on the phone with her?”
You nodded affirmitavely.
“Two of your friends, both dead within a week of each other… And you had fights with both of them.”
It was your heart that dropped this time. If your organs kept dropping out of your body, you’ll become nothing but a floating bit of skin.
You knew what conclusion the Detective was coming to, “I didn’t do this.” You defended, “I was asleep when both murders happened!”
The Detective raised an eyebrow at you, “and what about that Orc friend of yours? Do you know if he could have done this?”
“No!” you said, earnestly. “Malike is a good guy, he couldn’t ever do something like this!” You didn’t even know why the Detective would even ask about Malike.
Detective Heath stared at you, as if he was trying to sense something. Perhaps he was trying to figure out if you were telling the truth? Admittedly, it was difficult to defend Malike when you had just told him about that one time he got high, but, you just knew that Malike couldn’t have done this, or killed Jennifer in such a horrifically gruesome way.
“Well, we’ll have to wait to get the autopsy back from Forensics before we can decide whether or not this could be attributed to anyone else.” He gave a shrug. “We’ll be setting up a buddy system for your University now, everyone in pairs. That way, no one can be out of sight from one another and hopefully, nothing else will happen.”
The Detective said his goodbyes and then walked down the side of the pool, to speak to another Officer, leaving you alone and standing at the edge of the pool of blood.
Soon, you were being escorted out by the same Policeman who brought you in.
*
When the bell for lunch rang, you went on a search for Malike. A part of you wanted to avoid Jack at all costs. Mainly, because you didn’t want to cause a scene in the middle of the hallway, but also because you couldn’t bare the thought of seeing him. Not when he was also a target of this serial killer.
Perhaps he had the same thought process too, because you hadn’t seen him all day.
You found Malike in the cafeteria, sitting by his lonesome in the corner of the room, munching on a sandwich.
After you’d explained to him what the Detective had told you, Malike snorted.
“Fat load of good a buddy system is going to do.” You said. “And now they’re suspicious of me for the killings?”
Malike took a bite out of his sandwich and frowned. “Do they think you have motive then?” He asked, through his mouthful.
You sighed, rubbing the back of your head, “I don’t know. All the murders are close to me and Jack, so out of the two of us, we’re probably prime suspects.”
“What about me?” Malike asked.
You bit your lip. Do you tell him that you told Detective Heath everything? Orcs are also heavily stereotyped by the Police too, due to their tempers.
You hoped that Detective Heath didn’t believe in all of that. It would be awful for Malike if the head of the investigation began to focus primarily on him when the real killer is on the loose. But you had done your best to explain, so hopefully there wouldn’t be any negative consequences for him.
And besides, Malike couldn’t even hurt a fly.
“I did tell them about you and… the past.” You admitted, stiffly. “But only because they asked about the events leading up to the fight with Sydney… The Detective wanted to know everything that happened before we went to see her.”
“I guess that means I’m a suspect too then.” He sighed, placing the sandwich down in his tubber ware container. “It’s okay, you did what you had to do.”
Just then, your phone buzzed in your pocket. Checking the caller ID, you furrowed your eyebrows.
“It’s Jack.” You told the Orc grimly.
“Answer it,” Malike said, “Now you can ask him if what Sydney said was true.”
Really, that was the last thing on your mind at the moment, but you still answered. “Hello?” You asked.
“Listen, you need to meet me tonight in the Engineering department.” Jack said. “It’s super important. Tonight, 7pm, when the campus is deserted. Don’t bring the Orc with you.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, “what? What’s going on Jack?”
From the other end of the line, Jack paused.
“I know who killed Jennifer and Sydney.” And with that, Jack hung up the phone.
Your breath caught in your throat. Had you heard that right?
Catching Malike’s gaze, you realised that he’d overheard the whole conversation.
His eyes had glazed over, stone cold. His expression had fallen, eyebrows now knitted together in an icy scowl.
It was no surprise that Malike was annoyed by what Jack had said, anyone would be annoyed at being left out of a group meet up. “Did you hear that last bit?”
Malike grunted. “You shouldn’t go. It’s past curfew and dangerous.”
“I know,” you said, biting your lip.
The Orc looked you up and down, narrowing his eyes at you. “(Y/N), you’re not seriously thinking of going are you?”
You pursed your lips.
Malike sighed, lowering his head in exasperation. “After what Sydney said about him? You don’t think that’s suspicious that he’s asked you to come out late and alone at that?”
“Weren’t you the one who said that Sydney might have just said that to hurt me?” You frowned. Of course, the curfew and the danger of a possible serial killer walking around was something to be concerned about… but the Malike you once knew, would have fully encouraged you to go and seek out Jack.
He would have seen it as something rebellious and fun. Because, what’s the likely-hood of being picked off? It’s not like the killer would know that you would be going out to meet Jack, right? Especially since the curfew would have been put in place.
But, if you were careful, you and Jack would be in and out of the engineering classroom in an hour or so.
It wasn’t just the fact that Malike was trying to discourage you from going to meet up with Jack, it was was that he changed his tune so quickly. One minute, you shouldn’t have believed what Sydney said and now, you should believe her.
“Jack’s putting his own life at risk,” you told Malike, “I can’t just let him do that for nothing.”
You watched him for a reaction.
“That’s not what I’m saying,” Malike sighed, clearly annoyed that you don’t understand what he’s trying to get across. “What if he is the risk? That he’s the one who’s been running around, he’s the one responsible for the murders of Jennifer and Sydney? Think about it, the killer only targets people in your friendship group and you and Jack are the only two people left alive. And you couldn’t have done either of them because you were either asleep or discovered the body.
“So that means that the only other person it could have been was Jack.” Malike finished. He leaned over the bench table and took your hands in his own and squeezed them tightly. “Please, (Y/N), don’t go and meet him.” His eyes had become earnest, almost puppy-dog like in his begging.
You met his gaze, before sighing and then nodding. “Okay.” You made sure your tone had a note of finality in it, “I won’t go. You have my word.”
Malike let out a breath of relief and released your hands from his own. “Thank you.” He said, smiling. “We should go and get to class. I’ll walk you to your next one.”
A part of you felt bad for lying to him. But you reminded yourself that you had a very legitimate reason to lie.
Because you had seen the killer, on the night of Jennifer’s death.
And the killer, looked nothing like Jack.
Because the killer had long dark hair and a tall but muscular build.
Just like Malike did.

GUYYSSSS GUYSSSS HEAR ME OUT...
HOTD Scream au!
Aegon and Aemond are Ghostface, as that's the thought that started all of this...
Aegon would obviously be the Stu of the duo, treating it like a game and being overly enthusiastic and such. He'd get really frustrated with Aemond though for always being on his ass about being clean and careful, and I can see that causing problems for the duo in the future...
Anyway, Aemond would be Billy. Now, obviously, he's not as charming as Billy, but he's equally as conniving and has one hell of a poker face so I can see it. Despite him being the #1 suspect when it came out that the murderer was a student, because of his school shooter vibes, he somehow managed to talk his way around it.
Sweet little Helaena is the more relaxed, less social Tatum, who, although NOT dating her brother, is equally as close with him. Aegon treats her like one would a puppy, constantly doting on her and gushing about his cute baby sister.
Yeah, sister complex is real with that one.
Jace would be this au's version of Dewey, although he's not an officer, just the son of one (Harwin). Honestly, he's just a nosey high-school student who has far too much free time and unlimited access to the towns crime records. Once the Ghostface murders started happening he jumped on the chance to investigate and began snooping around the school, somehow not at all including his uncles in his list of suspects... (low-key stiles stilinski vibes)
Luke is Randy. Enough said lol. He's the one who convinced Jace to start looking into the case himself bc Harwin wouldn't listen to his horror movie nerd ramblings that he claimed were 'leads.'
Now, as for Sydney, I think the most fitting character for her would be Rhaena. Not only is she dating Luke (Corlys + Rhaenys, Vis and Daemon were all just super close friends, not actually related) which could cause a reverse Billy + Sydney and Randy situation, but she's also smart and a little youthfully naive, so she'd be more susceptible to believing Aemond and Aegons lies... I can see her being final girl.
Baela is Gale. It just makes sense. She's stubborn, strong, and badass and would absolutely work with Jace to uncover the Ghostface in order to post the story in the school newspaper and make her debut as a real reporter.
Just wanted to share my brainrot <3

Creating a Healthy Workplace: Wellness-Centric Office Refurbishment
In today's fast-paced and competitive business environment, companies are increasingly recognizing the importance of employee well-being and its direct impact on productivity and overall success. One significant way to promote employee health and satisfaction is through wellness-centric office refurbishment. In this article, we will explore how office refurbishment in Sydney can be designed with a focus on creating a healthy workplace that benefits both employees and the organization.
The Wellness-Centric Office
A wellness-centric office prioritizes the physical, mental, and emotional health of its occupants. It is a space where employees feel supported, motivated, and engaged in their work. Achieving this requires thoughtful planning and design during the office refurbishment process.
1. Natural Light and Biophilic Design
One of the fundamental aspects of a wellness-centric office is the incorporation of natural light. Exposure to natural light has been shown to enhance mood, boost productivity, and regulate circadian rhythms. During office refurbishment, architects and designers often prioritize large windows, skylights, and open spaces to maximize natural light penetration. Biophilic design principles, which integrate natural elements like plants and water features, further contribute to a healthier workspace.
2. Ergonomic Workstations
Wellness-centric office refurbishment includes the selection of ergonomic furniture and accessories that promote good posture and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal issues. Height-adjustable desks, supportive chairs, and monitor arms are common features in such offices. Providing employees with comfortable and adaptable workstations can significantly improve their physical well-being.
3. Air Quality and Ventilation
Indoor air quality plays a crucial role in employee health. Office refurbishment projects often include upgrades to HVAC systems to ensure efficient air filtration and ventilation. Additionally, low-VOC (volatile organic compound) materials are chosen for paints, adhesives, and furnishings to minimize indoor air pollution.
4. Spaces for Mental Well-Being
Creating spaces for relaxation and mental rejuvenation is vital in a wellness-centric office. Quiet rooms, meditation spaces, and comfortable break areas offer employees a chance to de-stress and recharge. These spaces can be integrated into the office layout during refurbishment, providing employees with designated areas for mental well-being.
5. Incorporating Movement
Sedentary work lifestyles can have adverse effects on health. Wellness-centric office refurbishment may include features like standing desks, walking tracks, or exercise areas. Encouraging employees to incorporate movement into their workday can reduce the negative impacts of prolonged sitting.
6. Noise Control
Noise pollution in the workplace can be a significant source of stress and distraction. During office refurbishment in Sydney, acoustic design solutions such as sound-absorbing materials, noise-canceling technologies, and well-designed partitions are used to create a quieter and more focused work environment.
7. Wellness Programs and Support
A wellness-centric office goes beyond physical design. It also includes programs and policies that support employees' overall well-being. Companies may offer access to fitness classes, mental health resources, and healthy eating options within the office.
The Impact on Employee Well-Being
A wellness-centric office refurbishment not only promotes employee health but also has a direct impact on their performance and satisfaction. Employees working in such environments often report higher levels of job satisfaction, engagement, and productivity. Reduced absenteeism and turnover rates are additional benefits that contribute to a healthier bottom line for businesses.
Conclusion
As organizations recognize the importance of employee well-being, wellness-centric office refurbishment in Sydney is becoming a prevalent trend. By creating a healthy workplace through thoughtful design, businesses can enhance employee satisfaction, boost productivity, and foster a more positive work culture. In this pursuit, companies often collaborate with experienced office refurbishment professionals to ensure that the physical space aligns with the goal of promoting well-being among their employees.

Costuming and The Bear...
So, costuming on TV, in a movie always means something even if it’s only a representation of the character. The Bear seems to use that on the next level, too, on the more thematic/symbolic level.
Richie wearing only Beef merchandise is the most obvious use of both these ideas, because it’s not subtle, like Richie is not subtle. His adherence to the Beef dress code shows that his character is tied more to the past than the present/future, and that he’s outside the rest of the group as the kitchen staff dons the new blue aprons. The only exception Richie makes in the present is when he’s on a date. Which says something too. That Richie knows how to fit social expectations. Even how to impress if he keeps his mouth shut.
Clear, color separation is used with Sugar. She wears civvies because she doesn’t work in the kitchen, but she’s in orange, the opposite of blue on the color wheel in the pilot, and pink, a social opposite of blue later when she comes to clean up the shot-out glass and search the office for the tax paperwork. This makes it obvious that she doesn’t work in the restaurant, and she doesn’t like it. In the season 2 trailer, talking to Cicero, she coordinates with Carmy and Sydney, showing that she’s coming around.
There’s a distinct present quality in the blue apron uniform as Mikey’s kitchen staff only adds Carmy’s apron to their usual personalized work wear while Carmy and Sydney wear more personally standardized white tops and black/dark pants that not only are consistent but coordinate with each other, already making them a unit within the unit.
This apron/group dynamic is heightened by it not only being pointed out by Tina, but by Tina going from not wearing the blue apron to Carmy remarking that she looks like Sydney when Tina finally does and Tina in return saying to him she’s “profesh” now. It's interesting that Tina wears a white blouse, like Sydney, before the blue apron. It’s the apron and Carmy she resists not the kitchen uniform, but it hints at the future before she joins the present. And before she sheds her individualism.
This desire for individualism leads to Sydney’s scarves, her show of individualism and how she works the fact that she has to hold her braids back into something distinct and bold within her personal uniform that she likely spent a lot of time working towards as she figured out how stand out as herself in a professional kitchen in a way that could not be argued with. Although she also probably played closer to the rules in an attempt to almost hide, wearing something very discreet until she found a place and acceptance at the Beef with Carmy. She wears a more subtle version of her scarf in episode 1 with it rolled then she does in later episodes with the triangle point showing off more color. I envision her wearing the rolled version while catering and interviews because it’s a little sleeker while still hinting and her boldness.
Carmy keeping to his own version of a very classic chef look shows his insecurity even as he comes into his own. He wants to wear something he’s comfortable in that hints at the denim collection and keeps him close to Mikey, but white tee and black work pants with a blue apron is still very professional kitchen. Carmy shows off on the plate, not in his uniform, which he keeps no matter how he’s working in the restaurant or where he’s cooking. Except at home, which is notable. This is echoed in his off-duty clothes, muted colors, and denim, as opposed Sydney’s prints, stripes and screen tees.
All of this is a very winding way to say that all the costume choices mean something. It’s something that the new girl will have a uniform that matches Sugar’s life outside the Beef/Bear. That Richie has Berf merch hidden in someone’s basement, a further tie to the messed up past. That Tina seems to be doing better in culinary school than Ebra. That Marcus and Fak have their own flair.
(There’s not enough of Marcus in the trailers to really guess at his path forward, just rumors, so I’m going to hold off on him in season 2, but in season 1 he falls between present and past but definitely in action looks to his future. I mean, he’s obsessed with possibility and donuts.)
But it also signifies a lot that Carmy and Sydney match in one chaos menu scene but not in the other. Just like it’s important they’re in his home. So, yeah, Carmy and Sydney standing outside their evolving restaurant with Carmy in his personal uniform and Sydney in a personalized inverse of that uniform is a moment that ties them as equals who fit together and complement each other. The fact that they’re together day and, if BTS shot are to be believed, night looking up to the future means they’re a pair. No matter what that future might hold. (the picture is from @devisrina's blog. Thank for posting it.)
