Your fingers trailed over the row of CDs, the plastic cool against the tips of your fingers. A hum played at your lips as you failed to find something that suited your current mood. “You’re music sucks, Abs.”

You turned to face your friend when you didn’t get the snarky reply you’d been expecting. “Abs?” The blonde sat on the couch, undoing her braid with practiced fingers. Her gaze was trained on the floor, not having registered your words as she was too lost in her own jumbled thoughts.

Your bare feet padded softly on the wooden floor as you walked over to her . “Abby?” Concern laced your voice as you stopped to stand in front of her, your feet obscuring her view of the worn wood.

“I fucked Owen.” She admitted guiltily, before groaning, bringing her hands up to hide the blush that was creeping across her freckled cheeks. She tossed her head back, letting the couch support the crook of her neck as an exasperated sigh passed her lips.

“Abigail.” Your tone was reprimanding as you crossed your arms over your chest. You knew she was well prepared for your reaction when she peaked at you through her fingers before letting her hands slip. She leaned forward, her hands braced against the cushions on either side of her thighs as she looked up at you through her lashes.

She knew to some extent the way you feel about her, she has to. There’s no other way to explain the way she weaponizes it against you. With fluttering looks and soft touches just barely brushing your skin every time you’re upset with her, she knows how to play your strings and she does it without regard.

“It was an accident.” She spoke with a softness that all but caressed your skin with its near sense of intimacy. God have mercy on your soul. She playing with you, like you’re her favorite toy and you could never break.

But break you will, there is no other way to describe to the heat in your chest, the lack of control you have as you snap at her like you never have before. “An accident?” You scoffed at her, “What? He slipped and just somehow ended up with his cock inside of you?”

She looked taken aback, you were by no means the gentlest person but always you were gentle with her. “I didn’t mean for it to happen.” She defended herself.

Do you like when people are mean to you? Is that what gets you going?” Her lips parted slightly, still staring up at you stupidly. It drove you insane, she drove you insane.

“Bet it makes that pretty little clit throb doesn’t it? You just can’t keep your hands to yourself when he’s mean to you. Do you need it Abs? Is that what you need, pretty girl?”

You want to say you don’t know what came over you, but you do. Years of watching her run back to that obnoxious prat after he hurt her, years of being the shoulder she cried on. Years of pinning after her slowly chipping away your resolve, your sanity.

Abby said nothing in response, though she didn’t need to really, she already given all the answer you needed. The slight rise and fall of her chest as she tried to hide her quickened breathing, the subtle shift in her thighs as she pressed them ever slightly closer together, the way her fists attempted to bury themselves in the cushion.

She was still staring up at you, pretty blue eyes watching you almost expectantly. She was truly a piece of art, art which you consumed daily, taking in every subtle shift of her body like it’s your life line. A twitch of her fingers, a crinkle of her nose, you had studied all of it, memorized every little thing about her.

You had learned her body as best as you could from a distance, sure you hadn’t fucked her the way Owen had, but God you knew you understood her body in ways he never could.

You turned on your heel, walking at a pace that portrayed control over the situation. Leisurely, taunting her. You knew she wouldn’t walk away, wouldn’t even blow out a breathe that risked shifting the tension that laid heavy in the air.

You pulled down a bag from the top bunk of her bed, knowing where she kept everything, occupying her space as if it were your own. “What are you doing?” Her voice was near a whisper, though she made no move, only letting her eyes follow you.

You ignored her question, smiling to yourself as your fingers wrapped around their destination, pulling out a rope. You silently walked back over to her, letting the rope dangle from a loose grip at your side.

“Stand up.” You commanded.

Abby watched the rope cautiously but nonetheless obeyed you. It’s quite funny really, the way she towered over you in every sense of the word but still waited for your word. Such a good girl.

You let your nails rake softly over the exposed skin of her arms, goosebumps raising in the wake of your touch. You pulled her arms behind her back, making quick work of the knot before taking a step back to admire your work.

You walked back around to face her, pushing her back onto the couch with the faintest nudge of your fingertips against her shoulder. She dropped like you forced her with all your weight, even the faintness of your touches having unprecedented control over her.

“You enjoy it don’t you?” You stepped closer, using your knee to nudge her legs further apart, giving you space to stand between them. “You like when he’s mean to you. Admit it.” Your voice had dropped to a near whisper, tone attempting to coax her like a dangerous animal.

“I don’t.” She all but whimpered the words. “Abby, Baby. I know you. Do you think I don’t?” You gripped her jaw harshly, leaning down so your lips were a hairs breath away from hers, “I know when you’re lying.”

She closed the gap, her lips smashing clumsily against yours as she tried to keep herself balanced. You fingers snaked into her hair, wrapping securely at the base of her skull, giving a sharp tug on her soft blonde locks.

She gasped, giving you an opening to slide your tongue into her mouth. She whimpered into the kiss as you used your grip to pull her further into you. Using your free hand to pull the sofa forward with her.

You pull away from the kiss with a pop, releasing the bite you had on her lower lip, she fell back with sofa. Landing with a soft thud on the makeshift bed.

She looked up at you with glazed eyes and puffy pink lips. Such a powerful woman undone into this mess from just a kiss. You smiled down at her, a cruel smile, a predatory thing. You were going to ruin her, you wanted to break her. Make her yours, make sure the only person she could ever think about again is you.

You climbed on top of her deliberately slow, drawing out the actions, her anticipation was palpable. You settled your legs on either side of one of her thick thighs. Letting your knee just barely brush against her clothed mound, making her jump at the contact.

“Please.” Abby let out the word breathlessly. “Please what baby, I need you to use your words?” How you had dreamt of this moment.

You kissed you way down her torso, over the bunched fabric of her white shirt, reaching the exposed skin of her hip. Kissing, nipping, sucking pink patches into the sensitive skin, enjoying the way she whined and bucked beneath you.

another update

hi everyone! here for a little update on my life!

i have a new hyper fixation with owen teague (loved him since IT) and that sent me down a spiral of rewatching the Planet of the Apes which led to finding my new favorite movies. The writing is incredible and watching the behind the scenes has been my favorite thing ever! I saw Kingdom in theaters and I plan to see it again. Besides Owen Teague being my new obsession, I've also been working and I will be switching to full-time next week (pray for me) so I will have even less time than I had now. On top of that, my publishing process for my book is going and I'm in the editing process so that is calling my attention. Which means What We Used to Be will continue to be on hold. Though, I can't wait for Part 1 of S6 to come out! I'm hoping that will give me a little bit of inspiration to get a clear idea of how I want the story to go! But thank you all for being patient! It means a lot!

Now, what I really want to get into detail about hehe. That guy I mentioned a bit ago, my coworker who's engaged? Well apparently he isn't...he just has a girlfriend. And it freaking sucks! Happy for them but sad for me because whenever we work together it's just so nice and amazing! Butterflies in my stomach and he's strong too since we have to pick heavy things up and he helps when its too heavy for me! 😭😭😭 he laughs at my jokes, he's kind, and he's a little tease. since i literally have no interaction with anyone, it's really hard for me to tell myself he's not being flirty, he's just being funny and platonic. oh, he also smells really good. but if like a year down the line he's single, i really hope that's my time to shine. unless the universe is like "no, babe, he's not for you." then i'm okay with that too. i guess it's just nice to interact to someone other than my family and friends.

also this old dude at work is notorious for being a creep but he means no harm he just has a neurological issue. though it's a reason not an excuse. anyway, the other day he freaking rubbed my arm weird and i reacted by flinching away and my other coworkers (guys plus the dude i'm crushing on) saw and immediately were like "don't touch her!" things were left as that, he just rubbed my arm, big deal. i'd rather leave it alone then pursue it to HR. BUT if he groped me or some shit, then yeah, I'll immediately go to HR. I thought it'd be left as that, you know, I vented to my bsf who works there too and it helped. And the guys were cracking jokes in hope that it'd distract me and I felt comfortable cracking a joke here and there too, BUT NO! One of the guys who witnessed keeps telling people what happened. One of the maintenance workers was like "is she gonna pursue?" and apparently people are talking? it's stressful cause I just want to put this under the rug. but yeah, I'm fine. he's a creepy dude but i honestly don't think his issue allows him to understand what he's doing is weird, even though he is....idk. but also my work crush asked if I wanted to talk about it.

Alonzo: Well, there are too many to talk about, but there is this one lie very recently that has been made against them by a character we all know too well :). Deep down, Alonzo knows it is a lie but has nothing to back that up. It has them questioning, however, all the facts they thought they already had a few years prior to the events of Chapter 1. It will also be one of their main driving forces as they keep doing what they feel they need to do.

fire: what’s one thing they’d destroy if they could, and why? would that destruction bring them any satisfaction or catharsis?

Jade: Cyro, for reasons I cannot mention. There's really no satisfaction waiting for her when that does happen, though. It could even be the opposite, perhaps. But she does want to do it even while being aware of that.

on: what’s the greatest challenge your OC has overcome? how do they feel about it?

Owen: The loss of his grandfather. It was a strange experience for him, to be honest. Someone he'd grown to fear and hate, and someone who never really showed his sisters any kindness. Yet for some reason, Owen still had mixed feelings over his death, and it has greatly affected who he is today. Talking about it further would be too spoilery, though.

blood: what would your OC would sacrifice everything for? what does “everything” entail—their life, or something else? how far would they go?

Wesley: Wesley's confused about that as well, and you'll probably find out along with them lmfao. When they do realize it, they'll find that they've been sacrificing everything they once had--their former life, their relationships, and a dear friend. They wouldn't know they've gone too far until it's already too late to regret it.

danger: what’s one thing that makes your OC angry? what’s their temper like? how do they respond to people who make them mad?

Alex: Alex is not the most patient person around, and while he hides it very well, he's very quick to anger as well. His sibling getting harmed is the biggest trigger for it, however. It might not end well for the other party whenever this happens..... or for Alex himself.

you mentioned you don't have any anon asks rn so here i am! :D how do you feel after this ep? i've seen ppl saying that looking back at tarlos' scenes from the previous eps might've been tainted by this – him harbouring this big of a secret to his literal fiancé, of all ppl – and i do get where they're coming from too :(

also, i'm soooOOooOOooO annoyed that tk just brushed it off like that 😭😭 for someone who has been so heavily affected by a) being cheated on (although imo this marriage is more of a desperate need to belong/be loved, knowing that there was no way he'd ever find oor marry the love of his life, and then afterwards, more out of necessity for the health insurance aspect of things) so i don't really count this as cheating, but i understand ppl have diff definitions of it), and constantly having ppl he loved and cared about (re: owen and gwyn) keeping (big, life-changing) secrets from him, i'm trying to make peace with the fact we didn't get more out of that scene. although, i do hope that his need to console and support carlos at that time far outweighs his need to process the news, so that has taken backseat for the time and would probably resurface as we progress further along in the story.

so far, i don't trust anyone or anything that has been said from the actors and writers of the show, so i literally just will be going into the upcoming eps with zero expectations.

I pretty much agree with everything you said, I think? I've got a lot of conflicting thoughts that are living side-by-side right now. Like...how I feel about this situation vs. how I feel about it as a plotline vs. how I will treat it going forward. If this was real life, I would agree that it taints their relationship (and that I'd be dumping his ass), but as a plot device I don't find this secret as difficult to reconcile as I would if one of them slept with someone else or had some kind of emotional infidelity. This falls more into 'huge breach of trust' territory than cheating to me, but ymmv.

I think I'm glad for my own tender Tarlos feelings that TK mostly accepted it, because it makes it easier to kinda mentally skip past it if they're not showing a bunch of angst between TK and Carlos onscreen, but like you I do hate how it feels like the narrative is brushing it away (even if I am simultaneously happy that they're doing it??). I dislike the sloppy execution, although there are aspects of the storyline I honestly don't hate? Carlos being married to Iris for the reasons discussed is actually giving me a ton of feelings, and would probably be giving me more if they'd laid a better foundation for their friendship in previous seasons. I keep imagining them as "lost", lonely teenagers and it kills me. Even if I gloss over most of this plotline moving forward, I will take that with me.

But yes, I am hoping they at least acknowledge that Carlos fucked up by not telling TK much sooner! Until then I just imagine that TK's angry/sad reaction is delayed. The spoilers say it will affect them throughout the season, and it would make sense if TK's feelings over Carlos's lack of communication was part of it. They can't go into marriage if Carlos is going to make decisions for them and/or withhold huge things he'd prefer to avoid.

(And yeah, TK having been cheated on and people keeping things from him makes me hugely sad for him. Like...he found the love of his life! This man who kept proving time and again that he loves TK and will be there for him in ways other people haven't. And then...... PSYCH. That's so traumatizing.)

Zero expectations is the way to do it lol. I was driving myself out of my mind with anxiety before the episode aired, and I can't sustain that all season. It's why I'm trying to just go with the flow as much as possible. I am not telling anyone else how to feel. I've dropped shows for doing things I hated. I'm just not at that point with LS and don't want to be.

Outsiders SMP Thoughts Journal! ;P

Heyyyy, so I’m watching the first five episodes of the Outsiders SMP and I thought I’d record my thoughts. I’ve never watched an SMP so this is going to be a very different experience. If you’re a fan and I say bad stuff I’m genuinely sorry; I’m sure it’s just not my thing. But who knows?

Episode 1: So, I have read the first book of the Maze Runners. I think the concept is very interesting but it’s not my FAVORITE book. Let’s see if Outsiders does any better. First thoughts are: this is weird. And not the story or anything, just…I dunno, it’s Minecraft and it kinda takes me out of it. But I’m literally four minutes in.

“Is that blood?” “It’s ketchup.” “I’m not sure I want my name written in ketchup on a wall-“

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. Why not mustard?

Love Owen’s accent. I’m a sucker for accents.

Oeca is my favorite. Hes so unhinged I love him: “you guys wanna play a fun game where I throw a knife in the air-“ “NO NO NO.” And that’s the literal first thing he shows a complete stranger. 😭

Wait I’m confused. Owen has a British accent but he said “toe-MAY-toes” instead of “toe-maw-toes.” 🤨

Love how as soon as the other lady person says goodnight he immediately starts having an existential crisis.

Also confession: I have zero idea who any of these YouTubers are. So really going into this raw. Gonna watch episode two in a hot moment!

Hey, can we talk about Jonathan? You're one of the few blogs that seems interested in his trajectory as a character, you always have good thoughts. Most people seem to think stoner Jonathan is funny, but he looks in a bad way to me. I wonder if that's what the fight with Mike is about. It looks like Jonathan has given up on himself. Maybe he isn't being there for Will either, except for basic stuff like rides to school. (Jancy break-up, or mental health issues? I can't decide. Maybe both.)

I know! With jonathan most people don't like or care to think about Jonathan's trajectory... and if so their expectations are low.

I don't think that's why they're fighting - they may be freaking out if El was just taken away from the roller rink or something. And then bam now the gov breaks into the room/house. But who knows...

As far as his trajectory i think it'll be rough for a while.

He may feel left behind by everyone. Will was was supposed to be Jonathan's " best friend " /sibling. And now Will is probably busy being a sibling to el ? Who everyone probably assumes is Will's sibling -over jonathan. Cause willel look more alike. Maybe that's why they say argyle is now Jonathan's "new best friend" on st official twitter. Cause jonathan felt left behind by Will his prior "best friend. " Not to mention joyce is probably trying to help El adjust- but is thus accidentally neglecting jonathan, the oldest, in the process . So now he feels joyce and Will left him behind 😭

Not to mention - jonathan and nancy probably broke up. So now he has no gf and through his perspective: nancy, his mom and brother also emotionally' left him'- that could easily fuel his parental abandonment issues with Lonnie. :(

We know jonathan is a parentified child - he pretty much made his whole purpose in life taking care of his family (aka his mom and brother- both emotionally and finacially ) . He also was always stuck working.And now the byers - whether because of el's inheritance or dr. owens secretly helping,etc, - have a nice house (and jonathan is probably not needed to finacially support them anymore). His whole purpose is taken away. His whole family is probably busy helping El adjust, and possibly through Jonathan's warped perspective they don't seem to need him finacially or emotionally anymore . And joyce,Will, and Nancy all left him behind- just like lonnie.

Not to mention- without the need to constantly work jonathan doesn't have a distraction from his possibly very tra*matizing past. And that could also severely affect his mental health.

We see in some s4 movies this is implied. "Backdraft" the brothers get into the fight: " what you're not a fan of the way I raised you? Dad wasn't around what was i supposed to do? I wanted so many things for you- things I could never dream of cause after that I had no choices".

In "reality bites " winona's character (who makes documentaries)was in her words stuck being a parent to her younger sibling after her parents divorced. And now doesn't have much direction- now that she's officially an adult. "in the visit" the older sibling is also making a documentary- and she was taught things about cameras by her dad who abandoned the family. The siblings get into a fight- when the younger sibling says they thought their dad left cause he messed up in a sports game. The older sibling insitinctually says that's obviously not true , and its not the younger sibling's fault. Which offends the younger sibling who thought this was the case for years . So he says something to hurt the older sibling's psyche and make them cry. The older sibling also was friends with a pizza guy. Yikes.

In some of the movies said to inspire s4: characters act out due to tra*ma - by doing dr*gs/being hyperse*ual. Probably jonathan.

in "enter the void"- older brother who was stuck taking care of his younger sibling. Who even cut his hand like jonathan- started doing dr*gs and ho*king up with a woman old enough to be his mom. gilbert grape: older brother is parentified and is stuck taking care of his mom and siblings, snaps emotionally, also hooks up with an older married women way too old for him. Tw: sa/inc*st. In magnolia & forrest gump & girl with the dragon tattoo, and many other films the character who was sex*ally abused by a parent -starts coping with dr*gs and being hyperse*ual. In magnolia she was into blasting rock music super loud in her room, doing dr*gs , and h**king up with strangers old enough to be her dad - and was afraid to admit what her dad did to her as a kid. In forerest gump- jenny was also m*lested by her father in elementary school- and as a teen and adult she started playing music, doing dr*gs and h**king up with ab*sive guys (similar to her dad). This storyline of doing dr*gs /h**kups cause of se*ual tra*ma stemming from her dad was in- girl with the dragon tattoo,as well. And we also had this storyline hinted at in "black swan " (friend jokes about her creepy ab*sive parent- so she pops the pill when she initially rejected it, then she starts hallucinating and hearing the parent's voice "that's my little girl". She then finds herself making out with a stranger in a bathroom, and runs out of there when she stoped blacking out ). Like that stuff wasn't that subtle- she then goes home and hallucinates ho*king up with someone- and the imaginary person say the exact same phrase as the creepy parent "that's my little girl'. And the parent always made creepy comments,etc... And I'm sadly not exaggerating when I say over 30+ movies on the s4 list- had a plot line about an adult or parent/relative se*ually ab*sing their kid (which wasn't simply up to interpretation). So yeah, I think jonathan may not be coping well now that he has no distractions from his past ...

Also they gave jonathan a Blond Billy-esque mullet ,that's suspicious.

Him and billy do have obvious differences. But the parallels are still there.

Jonathan does have a blonde mullet/is smoking (like Billy), and probably working at “surfer boy’ (like how billy surfed when in Cali,as a boy). Johnathan was even forced to k*ll a rabbit by his dad- billy's surname-hargrove means “field of rabbits”.Both were attracted to wheeler women. Both attacked steve when a younger sibling dissappear. Both are poor and had a parent abandon them.And both their dads: play baseball, call their sons h*mophobic names , and had a son named William who was posssessed .

They say in the runaway max novel: Billy acted worse after moving from California to hawkins. The same could be true for when jonathan moves to California (from hawkwins) . Also his hair sort of resembles Joyce's s1 hair a bit too- which still isn't good cause joyce in s1 wasn't in the best head-space.

I remember after s3 charlie heaton said he wanted to see "jonathan lose his mind... because he's been through all this stuff and can't take it anymore". And it seemed like it could be a bit of eerie foreshadowing .

Maybe I'm totally off- and Jonathan's whole plot is comedic. But I'm not so sure about that... I mean argyle will definitely be comedic. If anything argyle could be a foil to jonathan. Argyle being a happy dude who is just having fun smoking some w**d. Vs jonathan who is using it to avoid more deep seeded issues. I don't know i just have a feeling that jonathan ... is dealing with some stuff.

so besides the doctor/river song; which are your favorite time travel/love stories pieces of media?

damn this is such a dreamy question hiiii thank you ❤️ so I should start off by acknowledging that I don't love any time travel love story as deeply as I love doctor/river. nothing even comes close. also, the world is a little skint on decent time travel love stories. so, all that being said here's some others I like:

this is how you lose the time war (book) - the prose of this is stunning. it's about 2 gay time travelling agents on opposite sides of an infinite time war. they never meet, but they leave letters for one another on the battlefield that begin as taunts and threats but slowly become love letters. it made me feel insane in a good way even when I kinda got confused

About Time (2013) - I feel like this is pretty well known darling of a rom com. kinda like the time travellers wife but not fucking depressing. I love the never ending optimism of this film and how it becomes more of a family dramedy about a father/son who can both time travel and how it makes them love the people in their lives better

Palm Springs (2020) - not sure if this movie technically counts as a time travel romance because it's technically a time loop, but it's the only time loop romance I've ever really loved because the movie goes to great pains to show how they're both trapped in the loop from each of their povs

The Haunting of Bly Manner - disclaimer: I don't care for most of this series, but the time displacement narrative/love story between Hannah and Owen is soooooo 🥺

Kate & Leopold (2001) - this was one of my favourite romcoms as a kid. If you haven't seen it. A woman's (Kate) boyfriend invents a time portal and accidentally transports his great grandfather (Leopold) from the 1800s to the present day. And they wholesomely fall in love in a fish outta water way. Hugh Jackman is so 🥰 in this. It's very sweet. Probably outdated a little but it's so nice.

Other than all these, it's worth noting I also love The Doctor/The Master in Doctor Who because they're just so, like, infinitely intimate. they know each other so well so they wanna kill each other but can't because they love each other so round and round they go 😭

I honestly think time travel romance is hard to do well and even the ones I've mentioned are far from perfect, but I also think the better ones think of time itself as this living setting as well as the catalyst. Anyways, I wish there were loads more cool ones. Most of them are so shit. I can't stand Outlander or The Time Travellers Wife they're too far up their own asses.

This post is more directed at the fact that some players are unable to see the perspectives beyond Ellie's.

If I could further discuss some of the story points you mentioned? I think it's important to remember where these characters' are at a given time, like in terms of headspace and growth. This does not excuse behavior, but it can help explain it.

All these characters are fantastic characters. (not necessarily PEOPLE. I'd argue they're all awful to varying degrees. Whether or not they're redeemable is definitely a matter of personal opinion. (For everyone except David, I mean, fuck that guy, obviously.))

Like we do get many instances of Abby being kind, caring, and selfless, that can't and shouldn't be ignored. We get instances of the opposite too. I interpreted some Abby's behavior post-Jackson as Abby feeling remorse. Her actions have ruined her relationships and drawn karma knocking and it doesn't appear that revenge brought any calm in the end and it definitely didn't bring back her dad. She experiences her character arc and growth before Ellie does.

Like, Ellie beats the shit out of Nora even though Nora is dead to rights. She kills a pregnant woman (and, like, so many others, yikes...). Ellie's actions are also incredibly fucked up, but because we're all biased towards her and identifying with what she's feeling, we don't hold her to the same standard.

I think it's fair to say that Abby isn't aware of the extent of Joel and Ellie's relationship. We as players know, but she doesn't know that she's a hypocrite. Her journey with Lev directly mirrors Joel's, but she doesn't know that either. It's not like her and Ellie ever actually talk.

Abby is *not* in a good place when she and Owen fuck. (None of these characters are EVER in a good space when they make a bad decision) Was it wrong? Yes. Was it a mistake? Yes. Do other characters in this series make mistakes? Yes. It feels unfair to single Abby out for her mistakes to the degree she's getting. Owen participated too but no one is calling him out on it?? Owen is a dick too.

As for Jerry, I think the canon ending may be the quicktime stabbing him in face with the scapel? (I always shoot him in the pinkie toe and he still goes down, which is annoying...) If that's the case then, Joel is unnecessarily brutal. Either way he could have easily disarmed Jerry and knocked the last brainsurgeon unconscious but he didn't. Jerry threatens Joel when he enters, not Ellie. TLOU doesn't accommodate for player choice and is DEFINITELY super frustrating especially when we all feel so strongly. (Did any of us want to leave the farmhouse? 😭 ) Which also plays into Joel denying Ellie her choice. It was Her Choice and Joel stole that from her, regardless of reasoning. There is no way to know Joel knew that a vaccine couldn't be developed for sure, he's not in the medical field and the artifacts are ambiguous, but then that didn't really factor into his decision because all that mattered was saving Ellie so maybe it's moot. All this shit happens because of what Joel did. His actions, even if we all would have done the same, were selfish.

I felt very strongly and identified with Ellie too. She's such a fantastically nuanced character, holy shit. (I was actually one of the first to cosplay Ellie! Lol! What I'm trying to say is I love these characters very much too, I get you.) But we can't ignore all the totally fucked up things she's done too. The game starts with a choice coming back to bite Joel and then the rest of the game follows up on choices having consequences regardless of who is "wrong or right" (which is fuckin no one).

Brutality juxtaposed against moments of beauty is the heart of the series and one of the key narrative pillars. TLOU1 was arguably also a "tortureporn simulator" if that's what we're going with. I feel like some of the community may be piecemealing the events and theming of TLOU1 to degree and forgoing all the bad aspects, and completely ignoring the other characters' perspectives in the game that ND clearly meant to be sympathetic but evidently failed by coming off too harsh in the beginning and causing TOO much of a visceral reaction.

(Personally I wish we could have played as Abby in the beginning more, like more background and normalcy, and could have got to see the pain she was in. Naughty Dog fucked the pacing up by splitting the game in two instead of interweaving their threads. And then Joel's fate could have been further in-game, so we would have been able to spend more time with him and Ellie, then the big reveal could have been "oh damn that was YOUR dad??")

I think one lesson we can all take from this is that Naughty Dog SEVERELY overestimated their audience's capacity for empathy and sympathy

I absolutely loved loved LOVED this episode :DDDD. Dude, the ANGST 😭😭❤️❤️❤️👀!!! The drama, the searching, the referring to people as fiance 🥰🥰 (what I just love it okay xD), even Owen's storyline!! Especially the shortness of it XDD - no offense Owen. But I mean, we definitely got way more of the other one, as we should lol. I am glad there was another plot though, just because it would feel a little weird having an entire episode pretty much just following TK around. That makes it sound casual but yk xD. Also, it gives us time to stress lol, and makes it feel like more time has passed. Basically I just think it was needed for the flow :). Plus at least if Owen had to be not being there for his son, he wasn't stealing the spotlight XD. Anyway lol, absolutely amazing episode, just, stellar 😍😍.

Gasping shock from the promo and everything else and also just gasping in ~drama~ and like a billion things and all the feelings at once lol. I am not okay xdd.

But seriously for quite a while while (yes that's on purpose) I was catching up on my liveblogging I was like having shortness of breath man xD I was literally losing it lol

I still am but I'm gonna work on this for a little bit and then go eat dinner and take a break lol xdd. I do want to get it all done now but my hands and my brain (from having to word so much, and I don't mean that in a grammatically correct way, I just mean words man xD) are tired lol. Like I'm not out of words quite but I just feel like taking a break lol, since I was freaking out the whole time, during the episode (and typing for most of it), and I've been catching up for the past hour lol. So that's two hours of freaking out, trying to get everything, and stressing lol xD. So, I'mma do some of this (I actually already did and came back to add that I was unsteady since I meant to lol, I decided to say it here when it happened xD), and then come back later lol. I just need to destress for a bit I think, no matter how much I'd love to finish it now while my feelings are fresh XD. I need energy for the rest of the things I have to do tonight lol. But, I will be coming back :).

Now, onto the individual parts lol.

So xD. I think I'm just gonna do like, the 126, Grace, Owen (including O'Brien), and then of course Tarlos ft. Gabriel XDD. Alright, let's get into it lol.

The 126!! My babeys 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I loved them so much :'DDD. We didn't get to see much of them, but at least we got that entire scene with TK in the beginning 🥰🥰🥰. We got to see their siblingism lol, in the teasing aspect of that xD, but we also saw them supporting TK, which was really nice :'DD. Even a splash of Nanteo, lol xD! Plus of course Nancy and TK siblingism specifically 🥰🥰🥰. Anyway, we didn't see much of them, and I do miss them, but I loved this storyline (including in the past few episodes) so I'll allow it lol <333. And continuing on, despite the fact that we didn't see them much this episode, they were amazing :DD. I love them all with my whole heart 🥰🥰🥰. Oh and Judd I miss you 😭😭😭❤️🥰 XD. Luckily he will be coming back to us next week lol <333. Anyway, in short, I love them <3333.

Anyway, she was awesome as always 🥰🥰. Plus her comforting TK 😭😭❤️🥰 >>>. Like, that little "I'm sorry baby" or something similar 😭🥺❤️. Owen! Owennn. My mannn. SIR. ANSWER YOUR PHONE WHEN YOUR SON CALLS!!! Okay like I know he was dealing with terrorism and the FBI and everything and I get that, and genuinely it is a good excuse lol, but I'm still mad xD. Still, it'll make for angst down the line :D. Anyway, besides that lol, I did actually really enjoy Owen's storyline today :)). I mentioned to someone earlier today how I was laughing a lot last week despite it being about a kidnapping, but that I'd probably be laughing less at this one (and that it was also a kidnapping lol). And I mean, I was, but I was still laughing lol xD. Besides panicked laughing basically at myself lol. Mostly going "I'M FINE :))))" with a bit of laughing xD. But my point is lol, Owen's storyline provided some laughs XD. Bc I mean, he provides some great jokes xD. Also, while I was definitely way more exciting for the other storyline's scenes, I still enjoyed Owen's :). Like I said earlier, it was necessary for the flow.

Anyway, YESS! I'm glad O'Brien isn't actually one of them - I don't think they'll pull another twist on us, so I think it'll stay this way lol. And even though it was funny sometimes, I'm glad we're done with the under-coverness. In and out and in and out - it's just simpler now. Now, I genuinely thought (or maybe I just hoped, but I think I thought lol) that they would be suspecting O'Brien and not Owen, but then that guy kept on talking lol. And honestly, c'mon Owen, the one time you don't wanna fight? But nah xD, it was the smart thing to do lol. I'm also glad that we're (or Owen is at least) getting along a bit better with O'Brien. It's not like we (why am I saying we lol) were necessarily on bad terms, but Owen and him were finding things in common, and honestly they've kinda been through it xD. I think he'll be useful in the future :). And I really do hope they find his nephew - and that he's not the bomb maker. But I wouldn't exactly be surprised if he is, you know? I mean, maybe I will be in the heat of the moment, depending on how much it was hinted at, but still. It would suck (like :( not >:/), but it would be interesting 👀.

Anyway, I'm a bit dreading the storyline of that person targeting Owen because of Owen being the center of attention, but also, I'm excited for it :). Especially since, even if they're not directly targeted for being related (not literally in all except TK's case) to Owen, the others will be affected by it too :). I'm assuming that's where the clip we've seen in promos of Owen warning people comes from, that whole plotline coming up. But, anyway, I'm excited :). And yes, these paragraphs are kind of short, because I ain't interested in having a repeat of last week lol. Anyway, lastly, I am glad Owen answered the first time TK called, and he did resist the FBI for a minute to talk to him a bit longer :). It still sucks he had to rush off, but I'm glad he was at least there for TK a little bit <3. I'm totally (as long as I have the motivation, and who knows if I'll finish it but I will definitely try lol) writing a fic about him listening to messages TK left him and losing it (not totally). Well, let's say being distressed lol. Anyway, despite all I've said about Owen here lol, I loved him <33.

Now. Finally :). TK and Carlos. A A A H H H H H H H H H H H!!! 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰😍😍💔💔❤️❤️❤️😭😭❤️❤️🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️. Okay, I'm good lol. Kind of xD. Anyway, I'll try and at least make this longer than Owen's - on principle lol -, but I don't have quite as much to say since I said a lot more about Tarlos in the moment than I did Owen lol. I'm trying to make my reviews a little shorter by not including quite so much of what I said in the liveblogs, more of my thoughts that I didn't put down (usually the more thought out ones lol), so it's a little easier for me to do them :). Motivation just be that way sometimes lol! Anyway :D. My boyyssss 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. But also. My boyyssss 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. XD. Anyway, I thought they were AMAZING this episode. And, just a quick note - UGH, the ACTING!!!!! SO. AMAZING. Thank you Ronen and Rafa 😭😭❤️ :) :D.

Anyway, this episode was DEFINITELY an angsty one - obviously - but it was so, so good :D. For them, I mean - it was in general but this ain't about that right now lol. Seeing all their emotions, really strong ones obviously, was just heartbreaking 😭. And, I was only just thinking about this, but they kind of paralleled each other. Obviously they're having similar feelings (like fear lol), but in different ways, because of their different sides of the equation. Plus, we haven't seen TK's anger in a while - besides the slight anger/the frustration with Iris -, and it was fuuun :DDD >:)). Anyway, just seeing how TK's emotions redirected into the anger, and Carlos's were forced to go into logical thinking. It was rough 😭. And also, that scene of Carlos seeing TK on the doorbell monitor? Wow, why don't you break my heart with a hammer already :'). Or that meat tenderizer Trudie used to smash carlos's phone :'D. Anyway XD.

TK obviously went through it this episode, but I mean. Carlos is the main focus of going through it here XD. They were both suffering and I'm totally vibing with the double angst but right now let's talk about Carlos since he was literally kidnapped, drugged, and almost killed lol. Also during the liveblog I was mostly just screaming, so I'm gonna differentiate some of my emotions here XD. Now, when Carlos was quiet (not quite submissive) or drugged it was awful, but whenever he was fighting back it was just viscerally uncomfortable. In a really good acting and such kinda way lol. Especially earlier on in the episode - by the time we was fighting Darryl at the end I was consumed even more by other things, one of which being "YES YES YES GOOOO CARLOS, SLAYYYY GO OFF, BEAT HIM!!!!" XD. But anyway, the entire time it was just so heartbreaking 😭😭❤️💔🥺. And Carlos saying that Gwyn's love passed through him because he had no idea how he could love TK that much? I just. Wow. I think he'd probably actually thought that before lol, not just coming up with it for Trudie's benefit, but even if he did, DANG. That is some powerful stuff xdd 😭😭. Also heartwrenching and heartwarming lol xD. Just emotional in general.

And now some on TK! Then a bit of Tarlos and then some less emotional plot stuff lol. Anyway, ANGRY TKKKK :DDD!! XDD But besides that, seeing the subtleties in his fear - the constant bouncing, the way he always looked like he was about to cry. Just, UGH 😭😭😭, so good. And I'm sure this experience will definitely mess him up - don't even get me started on how much this'll have traumatized Carlos - xd. Honestly if we don't get a lot of it in canon, I'm excited for the fics that explore Carlos and TK's trauma from this more :). Probably more stuff of dealing with it/having it brought or rise up than deep dives but those too lol. Even if we get a lot in canon xD. Anyway, lol. It was just heartbreaking to see TK unravelling throughout the episode; in scenes like him talking with Gabriel he's clearly trying to keep it together, but by the time we get to investigating he's really losing it. Just, UGH, so good :'DDD 😭🥰❤️😍.

Now that last scene - well, the last two actually, I'll include the ambulance/after scene lol. TK having to do chest compressions and save Carlos (well, hold onto him for a little :') ) was just 😭😭😭. And seeing Carlos try to focus on TK when he was still awake? UGH, 😭😭😭😭 so good. And AAGHHHH 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️. It was such an amazing scene but MAN did it hurt xd. Especially Carlos jumping away from them when he woke up 💔💔 <33. And after that, the conversation about holding onto his life :'DDD? And how TK HAS HIS LIFE 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️🥰🥰. Y'all it's over close it down it was all worth it for this xD. They're just so adorable and in love :')). Also, YESSS THE "ARE YOU GONNA RIDE WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND?" PARALLELLLLLLL!!! WHOOOO 🥰🥰😍😍😭🥳🥳🥳🥳😭. WE DESERVE IT XDDD. I will say again that it would've been even better (than 100% amazing) if it has been fiancé this time lol. Anyway xD. Oh and yeah I loved how much they said fiancé this time :'). Anybody <33. I just love acknowledgments of people's relationships okay :'DDD. But especially Tarlos being fiancés ;'))))). Idk why winky just because :D.

Anyway, plot wise I absolutely loved Tarlos in this episode. It was super interesting and obviously VERY tense, and the kidnapping (kidnappers, backstory, reason for it, etc) was actually very interesting. Not that I necessarily expected it not to be, but I didn't really think about it much lol. Also, I don't think any of us expected TK at the door xD 😭. Anyway, I also thought Trudie seemed in character the whole time with what we knew of her - she wasn't evil, and she believed in love (especially that of a mother and a son), so she let Carlos out. But she loved her son more than anything, so she protected him from Carlos. That's just the one example but yeah I thought it was really interesting, and really good :D. Also, TK working with Gabriel this episode? Obviously >>>>. As we all expected lol xD.

Now, for a quick look at next episode and after that: I hope we'll see Carlos next episode, and hear about his recovery and all that, but I think we'll see TK mention it but not actually see Carlos. I think it would be difficult to just have in one scene - like I said earlier, it's an important thing, too much to just put in a throwaway (not throwaway but I mean not one of the main plots of the episode) scene. I just think it would feel unnatural, but I don't know that we'll get a whole storyline on it next episode. And while I would absolutely love that, it makes sense. And it's been way too long since we've truly seen the others and they deserve some screen time :D. So, yeah, I think it'll get mentioned, and then in the next episode we see Carlos in/a few episodes from now we'll see some of the aftermath of this episode. See, I wouldn't be surprised at, say, a Carlos returning to work storyline in an episode (as in the one after this next one) or two, and having to deal with/explore some of the trauma through that. I mean the plot, but Carlos also having to deal with it lol. And obviously if something like that does happen we better have amazing support from TK <3. Anyway, I just hope (I know they will :'D) they support each other and love each other (not really a hope it's a fact lol), and they'll get through this :'D. Anyway, long story short, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH YOUR HONOR 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰😍😍🥰🥰🥰!!! Yeah, I love them <3.

Overall, I absolutely loved this episode. I adored it :D. It was so, so amazing, and once it's been a little longer I'll probably rewatch it - I don't rewatch full episodes a lot, and usually if I watch clips it's not angsty ones, but it can be. Anyway, for example, I haven't re-watched any episode this season yet, but I think I may rewatch this one this week. If I can clam down enough lol XD. I'm still tense just thinking about it, writing this. Plus from something else I was watching, but that's besides the point lol. Anyway, obviously I loved the kidnapped plot this episode, but I really enjoyed Owen's too :). Especially since it'll apparently play into the angst we see for TK and Owen in the future :D. Which, I'm glad was directly addressed (well, seen by us lol, addressed by the show, not characters) this episode. Usually it's tiny things or things we just assume, and I imagine some of which will be brought up in that future storyline, but today we saw TK outwardly bothered by it :). Very interesting! Not confusing though, it definitely makes sense lol. Anyway! I loved seeing a bit of the 126 - the scene they were in was great lol -, though it was odd to see TK mostly doing this on his own. He wasn't, but he also wasn't interacting much with the others. This episode felt like it was literally following TK, Carlos, and Owen. Luckily for the episode Carlos didn't move much lol. . . . sorry lol XD. Anyway (also yes the period and then separate ellipse was on purpose lol), it was really cool :D. Just odd how, maybe because he wasn't at work, we didn't see any of the team's reactions to everything going on. Certainly interesting. Also, I live in FEAR of the next episode 😳👀. I think the ending of the promo there is a red herring, an in the moment kind of association - I don't think it's Marjan leaving, I think it's probably Owen or O'Brien, maybe one of the other gang members. Also I doubt Marjan will really leave, or at least not for long (if it lasts for multiple episodes I'll die <3), but I am still very much in fear :'D. TK looks way too at peace in that last shot (or one of the last shots anyway) for Marjan to be leaving though xD. But yeah, it looks super interesting and I'm excited to see that big fire, and why everything that happens happens :D. Anyway! Back to this episode lol :). Grace was also amazing, I'm interested to see where Owen's storyline is going since while it closed a chapter, it's the only storyline from this episode that's actively continuing (we're sure to see aftereffects of the other one), I'm so glad Carlos is okay :'D, and all in all I just thought it was a super great episode :DD. Very emotional 😭😭, super dramatic, and had some comedy bits xD. I LOVED it 🥰🥰🥰😍❤️❤️.

I really enjoyed this episode!! It was definitely WILD, don't get me wrong xD, but it was a good time :)). I honestly don't know what to believe about Kendra, but promo and ending aside, I did feel bad for her this episode :((. And Owen! But I'm glad for once he did the mature thing and just talked with her instead of going crazy lol. Besides all that, the calls were great :D, and frankly everyone slayed 🥰. Congrats and the food too, besties lol. And I'm so glad Grace's dad is okay :'D. It was the drama before that though o.o. But yeah, everything was really great :)).

By the way, once again, this is being written the day of the release of the next episode xD. In my defense, it was show week lol. It's currently evening, not quite an hour before show, because I got distracted when I meant to write it earlier lol. But honestly, even if I wasn't doing this with a less fresh memory of what happened, I don't think I'd have too much to say. Especially because there were several people we didn't see much of this episode - it's pretty much just the main two plots lol. But, still, I may end of shortening stuff just a little bit of what I might have said :). Be that earlier today or closer to the episode. Also it depends on if my motivation increases when I'm actually doing it lol.

Paul and Marjan! Again, we didn't see much for them, but they were great for what we did see :). Their reactions to that Owen scene were hilarious too lol XDD. They were both great at their jobs this week :)). Not that they usually aren't lol. I love both of them 🥰. Hopefully we see more of them next week :).

TK! Just like most of the crew, we didn't see him much this episode, but he was still great :D. His reaction the Owen situation was priceless XD - I just have to specifically mention the whole "everybody's already married!!" thing XDD. Anyway, he was great at his job this episode 🥰. I love him :DD. I hope we see him more next episode :D.

Tommy! Again, we didn't see her very much this episode, but she was great! She was great at her job, as always :)). And her reaction in the Owen scene XD - wonderful lol. Hopefully we see more of her soon - I have even wondering how her relationship with Trevor's been going! But I think I remember seeing something about getting more of that soon, so, yay :)). Maybe next episode even? Not sure, but now that I think about it I think it might be :). Anyway! I love her 🥰🥰❤️.

Judd! It was really great seeing him support Grace this episode :'D (not that he ever doesn't lol). But also kind of calling her out xD. In a loving way, lol. Owen! I did genuinely feel and for him this episode :((. And for Kendra <33. I'm honestly not sure what to believe, like I said - the promo could be purposefully misleading is, and I just don't know if they'd have Owen fall for ANOTHER crazy lady. Especially with drugging again. But, eh, I don't know! Still, they were nice while they lasted this episode :)). And honestly, sucks to be her husband 😬😬😭. Poor guy xd. But like Owen why didn't you try and let him thaw first before CPR lol. Idk if would've lived if he was already THAT frozen, but still xD. Besides that though lol, he was great at his job this week :). Anyway, I'm definitely intrigued by next week, and a bit nervous 👀. But we love a good Gabriel and Owen team up :D, so I'm excited :)!! As long as Tarlos doesn't end up drugged or in a burning building this time lol. Anyway, he was great with supporting Kendra this episode too :). Grace! My poor girl 😭😭😭❤️💔. She really was going through it this episode </3 <33. But I'm so glad her dad's okay :'D. And I'm glad she managed to forgive him, too <33. It was crazy finding out her mom already did :O. All that lost time must suck :'((, since she probably would've been able to forgive him earlier if she knew her mom had, but they can make up for it now :')). And AAHHH her sisters!!! We love cute family moments :'DD. And of course then being Sierra's actual sisters is such a slay 🥰🥰. But yeah, we had some GREAT emotional moments from this storyline 😭😭❤️❤️ :')). I meant just this episode, but overall as well!? Like, in the past when it first started. Also, that song was SUUUCH A SLAYYYYY ❤️❤️❤️😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰!!!! :OOO :'DDD SO lovely <333. Anyway, she was great at her job this episode :). I love her so much <333 🥰😭❤️.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! The calls were great, we had a bunch of drama (but luckily not all of it ended up not okay - some of it's nice and good now xD), and some really emotional moments :'). And we haven't had a Grace storyline in a while, so that was OBVIOUSLY a slay as well - we love our girl :DD. I am nervous for the next episode!! A bit scared, but definitely way excited too :)). I don't really have any theories as to what's gonna happen though lol! I'm interested :)). And I'm just along for the ride as of right now xD. Anyway, even through tragedy (though let's be honest that is not a negative factor lol) this episode was great 🥰. Plus it had some SUPER hilarious moments lol xD.

Judd really is doing his best here, and Mateo, Nancy, TK, and Judd's little gossip circle was just hilarious to me XDD. Especially since Judd's usually with the older members, Owen and Tommy, and Paul's with the others. Yet, they switched! Interesting :)).

Anyway, Grace is an icon as always <33. Glad to have you back several times Grace :DD. We don't deserve it (lol yes we do), but we need it xDD :')). Queen :DD <33.

Overall: I loved this episode! I honestly just really liked it :)). The pacing was a little bit funky, but we just had so many good, fluffy, 126 moments, or heartfelt moments, or even just plain emotional moments, that those things make up for it :DD. We deserved a nice little no huge disasters, personal or professional (as in literally job-wise or like call-wise, even an episode arc or something lol, like the tornado in season 1 xDD), nobody does episode :)) :pp. Well, I mean, technically that one guy died, but shhh. Besides, it was off screen,n we didn't really know him, and it basically had already happened xdd. But, yeah, I loved this episode, and I'm really scared and excited for next week :)). Not only do we have the original 9-1-1, with some Dispatcher!Eddie too (!!! :DDD!!), but have some DEFINITE Carlos content!!! Not to even mention the same for Grace :DD. Although I do care about Carlos slightly more, because we tend to see her and get storylines with/for her more often lol, if not as often as we could/should 💔💔 lol xD. Aaanyway, let's hope it's really good!!!
