I love these hoodies a lot; they are from that one drawing that Yana did of Diasomnia boys going to a movie theater. Katsu and I both are so obsessed with it; they look so adorable wearing those! I wish Yana did more sketches with characters hanging out like that, but of course I am grateful for everything she already does…

SO ok the pantheon has. a main pantheon of gods, with no side gods

There is: Sea, the God of the ocean and technology! they/them pronouns, loud and LOYAL to those they consider a friend. the kind to stare you down because you made a REALLY COOL redstone machine.

Conflict, the God of harvest, conflict, and blood sacrifice, but she's also got pretty strong ties to protection and loyalty. she/they pronouns. she isn't actually a god that encourages war, despite what her name may make you think. she herself leans more on the side of protection, and doesn't really instigate any fights.

Forage, the God of forage and the hunt! she/they pronouns as well! a god that likes to watch mortals, and is rather friendly when you encounter her. unless you upset them. and well you don't want to upset them. she's got a fun two sides of one coin /pos thing going with conflict that we ADORE in regards to domains and vibes

Monstera! God of monsters and fear, she/her pronouns. a very quiet god who holes up in her own little area, but if you upset her somehow despite that you'll Know

Creation! God of life, birth, healing, AND (natural) death! he/him pronouns. a god that holes up and hides a lot but when he's being social he's being *social*. many contrasts contained in this one.

Color, the god of. well. color! He/him. a very... chaotic god, this one. constant, constant antics. never a dull moment with color, and that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Travel, the God of travel and trade! they use they/them pronouns. a wanderer, who never stays in one place too long. ALWAYS an interesting encounter, even by godly standards (at least, in our opinion)

The Unknown, one of many names. God of mysteries and secrets. a god that's hard to find, and perhaps you do not *want* to find it, if you are not a follower. following the unknown is a path that may lead to dangerous knowledge, and once you learn you can never unlearn

Chance!! (HIII THIS IS OUR SPECIAL LITTLE GOD!!) The God of music and chance! Any pronouns, keep shuffling them, keep that fresh. a god who constantly watches, and is rarely seen. if you listen, though, you may hear vem. if you surround yourself in song, you will likely catch the eye of this god, and if you're in its favor you WILL know. chance has a funky two sides of the same coin/neg relationship with the unknown, and they are BEEFING. the only two with genuine, eternal rivalry. the unknown has closed chest imagery, while chance has opening chest imagery. we could go on about this but we will not, here

Tangerine Boy/Tangy is NOT yet an ascended God, and is not followable, but WILL be so once he ascends. he/him pronouns. god-to-be of civilization, and love of the world. just a silly little guy under the impression he's totally mortal right now.

Gods WILL often interact with mortal characters, whether that be because that god has picked up a new little favorite, or because they feel SLIGHTED by an offense. Or because you just randomly ran into a god. that happens with some sometimes. it's fine.

They're pretty important to playing, but mostly in a "what gods you follow will flavor how your character interacts with the world in a way, or vice versa" way! for example, we have a character who's planned to constantly engage with the archaeology aspect of minecraft, and they follow Sea, Travel, and Chance! Sea because... "Please don't make the oceans maul me while i'm at underwater sites", Travel for safety in traveling the many blocks they go, and Chance for luck! There's also an offering area when the server is up, and messing with that usually adds both fun lore AND gameplay aspects.

people usually end up with individual worship, or using the collective shrines! tho if you asked us as a god we'd looove to see more people doing more group worship things and engaging with the godly aspect of the server like that. but individual worship is fun! a mortal can follow multiple gods, but watch out! if you follow the wrong set you might get beefing gods around you.

It's relatively easy to take a break from, yeah! the server gameplay wise isn't going to rush towards major game milestones, and in fact the end is LOCKED until a major, in lore event regarding the gods called Dragon Day! at the same time, if you want to wither fight a ton PRIVATELY for beacons that's also allowed, when the server's open. it's very much focused on being a slow, player interaction roleplay focused server.

We're all working on upgrading the modpack, and finding a set of mods that is both fun for everyone AND is able to be played on low end computers, so right now is the great preparation time! plenty of time to sit and ask questions about the setting, and make a character with no rush.

in fact, if you have further questions, and the interest, there are multiple questions channels in the discord, or if you're not ready for that, we know we've got a couple of the other mods of the server who got SO excited upon learning you asked so many questions, and they'd be glad to answer any you may have in comments/reblogs of this post!

DCRC Week #01

Hello DCRC! I know everyone is technically on week 14 now, so I hope you don't mind a late entry. I may or may not have gained a new hyperfixation lately.

With that said, let's get into the very first issue!

These guys really love their beak-shaped architecture huh. Do you think they find earthlings slightly more superior to Xerbians because at least some of them have beaks? Imagine if we put human mouths on every vehicle and building we created. Actually, don't imagine that, I just tried it and I hate it. Let's never do that ever.

jhkj he thinks he's so cool. Are you going for brooding and mysterious or are you just cold up there? It looks like he's wearing a blankie.

You know, having read a few issues ahead it actually surprises me how little we see of coolflames in the next issues. Sure, they're brought up but 90% of the time when PK is fighting anyone it's always just Evronian warriors. You'd think they'd throw in at least a couple of coolflames to boost their numbers, if nothing else.

They've got some pretty neat powers too. Or is that just whatever species these guys used to be? Are these guys not originally from earth? I thought they'd started coolflaming some Duckburg residents already, but maybe not?

He really just went home with a "huh. That was weird. Oh well." after all that.

So we're just gonna throw a tarp over those and call it a day then? Extreme nonchalance runs in the family apparently.

I love how much they're immediately trusting each other and working together. Uno lets Donald run off with Ducklair's tech even though he's never heard of him until today. He even goes out of his way to make him breakfast! And Donald telling him about his nephews right away. I'm sure Uno could have found out about them on his own if he really wanted to, but the fact that Donald trusts him with his identity right away says a lot.

Also those tiny PK nephews are adorable. Get them their own little outfits STAT. At least for Halloween or something!

And that's our first issue! Really fun setup, we got to meet our main cast of characters, and square Lyla will not haunt me again after this issue so all's well that ends well. It's fun looking back and seeing PK still finding his footing with both his new friend, his new gear and his new enemies, especially when compared to later issues when he's gotten much more used to all three.

HIIIII HICCANNA NATION, long time no post!!!

Sooooo long story short, a bitch overcommitted HARD last year, and had like 17 Hiccanna month posts that I completely ran out of steam to finish. And then because I felt so guilty I didn't finish THOSE, I also didn't reblog all the incredibly awesome posts the rest of y'all made, and I'm really sorry for not giving my people the love and appreciation they deserve!!! And then, of course, my life from like October through like March became an absolute shitstorm, and I got semi-threatened with eviction and then friend-dumped by one of the most important people in my life D: It was a whole Ordeal™️, and sadly, my brain was too fried to think about my favorite awkward blorbos 💔

BUT BY GOD, THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO GET MY LIFE TOGETHER AND PULL THROUGH FOR ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE THIS FUNKY LITTLE EVENT COME TO LIFE!!! I WILL finish reblogging all of last year's Hiccanna Month posts before the end of this month if it kills me!!! And by god, I WILL have this event again, because it's what y'all deserve!!! I honestly don't have the spoons to do a prompt every day this year, although for future Hiccanna months, that could change. The two-a-week format seems to work better for a lot of people anyways, since I've gotten feedback that 31 prompts in a row is, er…pretty overwhelming, to say the least ^^; So two prompts a week for this year, and we will see if people like this format better!

1. For the Dancing and the Dreaming—A re-imagining of our favorite Viking wedding song with Hiccup and Anna! They're certainly the sort of people who would do all manner of impressive feats and grand gestures to win each other over, but the joke is on them—they don't need to! Sometimes, pledging love and devotion is enough, and there's no need to slay monsters or gift troves upon troves of treasure to prove yourself worthy of someone.

2. More Than Just the Spare—One of my absolute favorite things about these two is how they rise above being overlooked and underappreciated and accomplish some truly spectacular things. This prompt is all about Hiccup and Anna showing that they can be more than anyone ever expected them to be—preferably together, while being madly in love!

WEEK 2—MOVIES AND TV Let's be real—we've all dreamed of seeing Hiccup and Anna interact (and adorably butcher flirting several times) on the big screen. Whether it's through an epic Disney-Dreamworks crossover (god, we all wish, right?!) or imagining Best Awkward Blorbos in your favorite TV show, this week is all about Hiccanna slaying in visual media!

1. Romcoms—Have you ever watched a romcom and gone "You know what would make this better? If it was about Hiccanna!"? Furthermore, have you ever watched a romcom and gone "Well shit, this is literally just about Hiccanna!"? Well, now's your time! Make something inspired by your favorite Hiccanna-coded romcom, or a romcom you desperately believe needs more Hiccanna energy in it! Or, hell, make up a brand-new cheesy romcom plot for these two and make us all swoon 💞

2. Dramas—We forget it sometimes, but not everything in these two dorks' lives is sunshine and rainbows. Hiccup lost a whole-ass leg! Anna almost froze to death! They both grew up lonely, friendless, and (relatively) isolated from their communities! For this prompt, take your favorite drama and Hiccanna-ify it—or aplify the Hiccanna you already see! It can be any subgenre you want—coming-of-age drama, period drama, weird avant-garde indie drama, you name it! Subject those guys to some Dramatics™️ and let us see :3

WEEK 3—LITERATURE AND TEXT PROMPTS This week is all about something so many of us long to have an excuse to do--write about the blorbos! Whether you're looking to try your hand at fic for the first time or you're coming back to add more much-needed Hiccanna into our ever-sparse internet ecosystem, these text prompts will hopefully get your fanfiction juices flowing. Pick your favorite(s) of the four for each day, and write away! If you want to try and do all of them then have at it, but don't stress yourself out!!! I wanna make sure this year's event is as chill and no-pressure as possible, since I know a lot of options can be overwhelming, especially for Anna and I's fellow ADHDers! And if you don't want to commit to writing anything, or writing just isn't your strong suit, that's okay too! Use this week to make something based on any literature that brings Hiccanna to mind, or any literary world you'd love to see our favorite awkward ship in. Happy creating! 1. Sci-Fi/Fantasy AU—One of the things comic books and visual novels do best is exploring fantastical scenarios and limitless possibilities. The iconic superhero AU is probably the most well-known, but your options don't end there! Do you have a favorite comic about guys on spaceships exploring the galaxy and battling aliens? Or a comic about a party of DnD-style adventurers taking down an evil wizard? Throw some Hiccanna in it and let us see! The sky's the limit, and really, you don't even have to stop there! (Note: Using AUs for ANY of these prompts is real and valid and encouraged, so don't feel like this is the only place where you can use wacky AUs! This is just the one where they have a special focus/emphasis. But AU away whenever you like—Hiccup and Anna kinda require an AU to even be able to interact, so it sort of comes with the territory!)

2. Favorite Comic Book Adaptation AU—Many of us have been lucky enough to see a comic we like be adapted into something else, and can say with confidence that the adaptation kicks absolute ass,, whether it be a movie, TV show, novelization, video game, or whatever else! Like with the previous prompt, superhero comics might be the first thing to come to mind. Of course, I'd be delighted to see Hiccanna in the world of the Spiderverse, Invincible, or your favorite DC or Marvel movie, but keep in mind these aren't your only choices! Something like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World or Netflix's The Sandman would be a totally valid option as well! Have fun and go crazy :3

My favorite cryptid? That’s an easy one. I absolutely adore the Yeti. There’s something fascinating about a creature that’s elusive, hidden away in the remote parts of the world. Plus, I kind of like the idea of a big, misunderstood creature just trying to live its life in peace. It’s like nature’s way of reminding us there’s still so much mystery out there, waiting to be discovered.

I usually love to cheer people up by getting them outside and into nature. There’s nothing like a walk through the woods or a picnic by the lake to lift someone’s spirits. If they’re not up for an adventure, I’ll bring nature to them—maybe a homemade herbal tea, or a little plant to brighten up their space. I believe that a bit of greenery and fresh air can work wonders for anyone’s mood.

Oh, definitely! I’ve always been passionate about eating healthy. I try to grow my own vegetables and herbs whenever I can, and I love experimenting with new recipes that are both nutritious and delicious. It’s not just about eating healthy, though; it’s about respecting where our food comes from and making choices that are good for our bodies and the planet.

Anyway, I’d have to say the Mothman. There’s something so eerie and intriguing about him. The glowing red eyes, the wings… it’s a living piece of urban legend. Plus, the stories around Mothman are so mysterious It’s the perfect mix of creepy and fascinating, and it always sparked my imagination as a kid.

I like to cheer people up with a bit of creativity. Whether it’s painting together, making some funky crafts, or just playing some music and dancing around like nobody’s watching, I believe in the power of artistic expression to lift spirits. Sometimes, a little color and creativity are all you need to turn a bad day around.

Well, I try to be, but I definitely have my moments of indulgence. I love trying new and exotic foods, and sometimes that means not always sticking to the healthiest options. But overall, I balance it out with lots of fruits and home-cooked meals. It should be about moderation and enjoying what you eat.

0126: Giant-Size Defenders #2

Cover Date: October 1974 On-Sale Date: July 9, 1974

Unlike the first issue of Plus-Sized Defenders, this one is a majority of original material instead of a few pages of framing story around some reprints. The issue is padded out by a couple of older stories. A minor first is the first meeting between Son of Satan, Daimon Hellstrom and Defenders. Daimon will eventually join the team for a while.

Our tale opens with the Hulk happily attempt to bounce his home. According to the captions, he may not no where that is anymore. Alpha the Ultimate mutant has done some surgery on his memories. While in this confused state, Hulk is confronted by a large number of NYPD members. He doesn't really appreciate this. There are bullets fired and patrol cars tossed. Hulk attempts to relay his purpose to avoid further fighting.

At that moment the National Guard have joined the NYPD in their attempts to quell the disturbance and send a funky robot after him. I think it's an inspiration for Futurama's Bender!

Hulk trashes the robot and the caption tells us that it's $2.5 million (about $16 million in 2024 dollars) down the drain. The soldiers continue firing rockets at the Hulk who has had enough. He jumps away where he encounters an adorable little blond girl with freckles and all! The girl introduces herself as Laurie and leads the jolly green giant down lots and lots of stairs which end in a large cave. The little girl Laurie calls Hulk an ignoramus and transforms into Laroux the Lecherous, a demon.

The lecherous one insults the Hulk some more and conjures up a bunch of Bruce Banners to beat the tar out of him. Things do not go well for our emerald giant.

Back at Doc's Sanctum Sanctorum, Doc, Val and Nighthawk are visited by a hooded spirit that resembles the minion of Satannish from back in Doctor Strange #175. They both even carry a globe. With this globe the spirit shows the trio what's going on with the Hulk and presents them with an offer they can't refuse to do his master's bidding.

The trio fan out and search the city to no avail. They return to the Sanctum to try and figure out what's next. Nighthawk mentions "hell" in passing which inspires Doc to try and contact his buddy-to-be, Daimon Hellstrom, currently living in Saint Louis. Doc goes ghost and heads to The Gateway City. Colorist Glynis Wein (yes, she's Len's wife) gives a Doc's astral body a pale coloring instead of the usual white. It's an interesting choice. Daimon tries to refuse the commission, but Doc is rather persuasive.

"There is far more to me than you might easily believe. is really amusing when said to a ghost floating in your study. Daimon then shows off by changing into his work clothes in front of Doc.

The lengths Daimon goes to, to show off his abs! Doc transports Daimon to the Sanctum and the team follow his psycho-sensitive trident. Daimon flies away sort of like a witch on a broomstick.

The team are led to an empty lot which Nighthawk explored before on his own. Doc and Daimon then work together and break a spell, revealing a house. It's like a less impressive version of the Hotel Monolith reveal in The Shadow movie. Like the Hulk, the Defenders are led down lots and lots of stairs. They are really getting their steps in today! Along the way, each member is confronted with their fears. Doc is confronted by patients he couldn't save. Val is confronted by faceless women representing her ongoing identity crisis. Nighthawk faces a monk and a bunch of guys wearing sinister robes. We don't really know much about his backstory set so no idea what this means. Daimon is faces with his mother attacked by a bunch of colorful demons.

At last the mastermind of these events is revealed. He's watching the goings-on in yet another globe. We see that it is Doctor Charles Benton, a.k.a. Asmodeus. He's the one who ran the Sons of Satannish, tried to kill Doc and supposedly died of a heart attack back in the 60s. He's not really alive, but has a chance to return to the living. The poor guy didn't even get a change of clothes, but those are some of the best cult robes I've seen to date.

Doc manages to free himself and then frees Val and Nighthawk. The trio plus Daimon (who escapes his punishment of-panel) track down the Hulk who is still being beaten senseless by a bunch of giant Bruce Banners. The team offers help, but this is apparently inspiration enough for Hulk to clobber his tormentors. They turn into rock and all gathered realize they were as much an illusion as all the other "punishments" were.

The room itself is an illusion which disappears and our gang of misfits find themselves before Asmodeus sitting in his fetching throne.

Asmodeus explains he will exchange their souls for his own and uses his Satannish-granted power to flatten the group. He can't seem to take Daimon down who explains that his own hell-granted powers make him immune to Asmodeus's attacks. Daimon strikes Asmodeus down and uses his soulfire to counteract Asmodeus's naughty stuff. Just as the Defenders revive, a conveniently located clock strikes midnight and Asmodeus seems worried. His deal with Satannish had a deadline and it's up. Without having delivered the souls, the hand of Satannish rises up out of the ground and takes Asmodeus with him. The gang find themselves back in the vacant lot. Daimon flies off.

There are three reprinted stories, but no attempt to integrate them into the main tale.

First is a Sub-Mariner adventure from Young Men #25 (back in 1954).

Second is a Black Knight tale from Black Knight #4 (back in 1955). The Sir Percy in this tale is an ancestor of Doc's petrified buddy, Dane Whitman and the first Black Knight.

Lastly, is a Doc story from Strange Tales #119. "Beyond the Purple Veil" is reviewed here.

Whew! This was a long one. Son of Satan is a perfect oddball choice for this oddball team of Norse Goddess, Sorcerer Supreme, gamma irradiated giant, prince of undersea Atlantis, herald of Galactus and dumbed-down Batman. He's not a regular yet but that will come after he spends time hanging out with Ghost Rider and briefly has his own solo series to work out his daddy issues. It's early in his history and we don't actually know who his daddy really is. That's a long and complicated journey. Marvel hasn't really gotten it's demon hierarchy mapped out yet. We'll even get a demon Asmodeus who is no relation to Doctor Benton.

Personalities don't really shine in team books and Doc in particular is bad for this. He seems like an entirely different character from Englehart's series. In team situations Doc tends to get relegated to bolt thrower, shield caster and living exposition machine. We get a hint of what's going on in his mind when he is confronted with all the patients he failed to save. His pre-magic self was either too ambitious and wealth obsessed to acknowledge this and after his accident he was too self-involved and pathetic. We now know this very human reaction has been hidden away in his mind.

Val's identity crisis rears its head again. Will she leave the Defenders as she's been threatening to do for a while now? Time will tell. I don't know off the top of my head if Nighthawk's illusion is ever explained.

Bringing back Doctor Benton/Asmodeus, while not a stroke of genius, was entertaining. I think Len mostly handled it well. We have an idea of what happens when spawns of evil face off against each other. The ending was a rip off of Lord Nekron's fate in Doctor Strange #174. No points for originality there, Len.

Tbh I thought there’d be more angst on “Wwx riding a sword for the first time since probably when he was thrown in the burial mounds” but tbh he has bigger issues rn probably and a whole LWJ distracting him so I’d see why it doesn’t come to mind. Him challenging LWJ to go faster was adorable tho. And we all KNOW LWJ is dying of cuteness overload internally.

Interesting that you touched on WWX’s weird relationships with resentful/evil beings. I like that it gives the implication that because so many awful things happened to him resentful/evil beings became attracted to him and that it’s only increased over time.

Wwx feeling confined and like he’s going to be thrown into some cell is nothing new but heartbreaking nonetheless. Good thing LWJ is here to confuse the shit out of our man by going against basically everything the Lan Clan stands for :3 especially with that dizi!!

I do love how you portray WWX especially when he knows he can and probably should be vulnerable with the man that has done nothing but help him all this time but he can’t bring himself to because of how that has been used against him in the past. So real.

Wangxian getting caught making out is so incredibly in character and on brand of them it hurts. Jfc. Can’t wait to see what Xichen thinks of all this as soon as LQR stops having an aneurysm. On one hand, ship has sailed! On the other, sworn brother kidnapped and tortured a man + his allies for 13 years and actively killed other sworn brother. Ouch.

LQR’s reaction is amazing tho. I mean, Imagine getting so incredibly traumatized that even someone who hates your fucking guys and has since you were 15, feels bad for you. Jesus. I do love seeing that LWJ knows exactly what WWX is panicking over tho. So sweet! Tho seriously. I know LQR was just told what happened but I can’t wait to see his face when he realizes all the implications of it. Including what will happen to his family.

Okay, so, I was thinking about having more angst with him riding a sword for the first time, but he's been a little distracted - also, he's the kinda guy who will just not think about everything wrong with him when there's more fun things he can focus on. What's the point in holding onto that shit when he's wrapped up in warm arms and is actually flying? And yes, Lan Wangji is, in fact, dying.

I'm so going to elaborate on his connection with resentful energy more! It's going to be a bit of a key little thing, I've been thinking about it so so much. He's got such a funky sort of relationship with them, he's like a magnet n shit for all of that. His trauma could increase that, especially when linked with his use of the dastardly stuffs.

Lan Wangji casually destroying any previous negative ideas that Wei Wuxian has about him - he thinks Lan Wangji hates him? Bro protects him and doesn't hand him in to the Jin immediately. He thinks Lan Wangji thinks he's weak and pathetic? Dude comforts and takes care of him. He thinks Lan Wangji finds him disgusting because of his use of demonic cultivation? Man gives the grandmaster of demonic cultivator a dizi in case he needs to protect himself. Lan Wangji is going to make Wei Wuxian feel as safe and comfortable in the Cloud Recesses even if he has to break the precepts to do it - it's all worth it for him.

On a similar note, Wei Wuxian feeling confined and trapped? It'll be rare for him not to after that mess of thirteen years he has just been put through. Like, who would willingly traumatise that poor bastard? *Hides bloodied hands* Wh-Who would do that to him? He's going to be incredibly traumatised from it all for a while, and hey, who knows? Maybe it'll get worse- WHO SAID THAT. WHO'S DROPPING LORE IN MY ANSWER.

Anywhosles, of course Wei Wuxian is conflicted about being vulnerable with anyone! Last time he was even remotely vulnerable, he was literally shoved in a room and tortured for thirteen years. Anyone would be unable to trust people after that, even if those people have been nothing but kind and helpful even when they didn't need to be. Wei Wuxian wanted to feel safe, and he doesn't feel safe when being vulnerable anymore, even if it may look like he's all chill and fine with it.

Listen, I need you to be fully aware that them making out wasn't supposed to happen. I was writing them to have this big emotional moment, and next thing I know my brain's like "and now they kiss" like little kids with dolls, so of course I was thrown off and like "NOW WHAT?!??" and then I remembered that Lan Qiren was supposed to stumble upon Wei Wuxian in the Jingshi so I was like "yeah, that's right, that would happen" and made it happen.

I'm not going to say when, but Lan Xichen WILL find out (obviously) and when he does it will be utter chaos in his mind. Maybe we'll even get it from his perspective! He'll be awkwardly standing there, listening to all the proof and being like "....oh. Well. At least that went well..." And then just violently breaking down. (This isn't fully what's going to happen, but it will also happen).

Lan Qiren is just done with his nephew's bullshit. Also, keep in mind that he probably didn't even SUSPECT this because Lan Wangji never saved Wei Wuxian after the Nightless City Massacre!!! This is a Huge ass surprise for the fucker. He's... he'll have to deal with this one way or another, and maybe he's learned from his reactions to Qingheng-Jun. Let's see.

Have another thingy from school!

Alright, I have…a weird couple of characters. I can’t even explain why I love these characters so much. So, to start: Pal Percy from Playtime with Percy. I want you to be prepared for this dummy. When I say Pal Percy, you probably think of a friendly little guy, right? A little buddy, a little friend, just a tiny little pal. Well, tiny and little are a few ways to explain one of my favorite characters. Now, he has a very pitchy and bit crushed voice that you’d hear from a kid’s toy. Okay, now we’re getting closer to this little guy. His voice is like a kid’s toy! Like a Leapfrog branded thing, how sweet…! He was designed to be your best friend. He’s a small toy that’s designed to be your best friend. He’s similar to a Tamagotchi so he can’t be dangerous at all. He’s just a little guy like Flowey from Undertale or Wheatly from Portal 2. Fun fact, that’s where his character came from!

Okay, now allow me to show you an image of our little buddy we’ve made^^! I made the words bigger so you have no true idea.

Okay, back to normal text. Wh-What do you mean he’s completely insane and is obsessed with being ‘Your Best Pal’ to the point where he’ll kill you if you deny him-? Not only that, he’s made creatures, has wires, is parasitic (a word that has lost all meaning for me because of the obsessive tamagotchi), and has taken over a large animatronic for his bossfight!

Now onto his little buddies! The TamaTerrorz ♥ ️ ✨. These little buggers are absolutely adorable. This isn’t a fakeout. I genuinely adore these tiny creatures. They’re aggressive in game but practically everyone in the Playtime with Percy fandom has fully agreed that these creatures would be adorable beans if Pal wasn’t controlling them. There’s 4 in total (5 if you count TamaMunchi despite him being an easter egg). I like them all. I actually have a list!

TamaBruti: I really like how silly TamaBruti looks with his extremely dilated eyes. I cannot take him seriously like that. TamaBruti represents the arms (Known as TamaBruti_Arms… in the fake credits before the fight). He’s also the living definition of a brute. The way he gets to you? Simple, he punches down the walls and enters your room like he’s the Kool Aid Man. Hence why I gave him the nickname: ‘TamaKoolAid’. Also, all of his models look extremely derpy. Ruined-Cade after you defend yourself from him? He sits down on the table and contemplates his decisions. Broken Storage? He’s just staring at the camera without a single thought behind his eyes. Gnawed Playroom? He is observing the hallway at a 45 degree angle. Does it make any more sense at that angle, bud?

TamaLanki: I just like his design. He lives up to his name; he’s lanky. I think of him as being rather violent and I think he screeches a lot when he doesn’t get his way. Some people hc him as trans because of the character on his screen (mouth?), who is a girl and I think that’s super cool. He is the body (TamaLanki_Body… in the fake credits). TamaLanki is super cool in my opinion. Also, they’re your ticket out and away from Pal Percy as he is connected to the power and you need to complete his minigames to electrocute Pal. So, naturally, TamaLanki is in your office at all times of the boss fight. If you ignore them, unlike Pal (IN THE EARLIER NIGHTS), he’ll just kill you. I think he’s pretty neat.

TamaRoachi: I don’t have a big paragraph to give about these bugs. I like them solely because I heard one of their funky noises and they sounded like a rabid bulldog. I thought this was funny and grew attached to these Roachies. They are in the false credits as TamaRoachi_Legs… that’s it!

TamaMunchi: This one isn’t even in the boss fight. He can appear in the custom night for the bossfight though. Only the custom night though. He doesn’t have a thing in the false credits but looking at concept art has him labeled as ‘Jaws’, which…yeah, he definitely has no doubt. I’m pretty sure everyone just agrees that TamaMunchi is dog-like and I really like this idea. Admittedly, I thought they looked more like a mouse at first. My eyes have opened though and Munchi is clearly a puppy doggo. Someone even added them into Minecraft and I have decided to switch Roachi and Munchi around

TamaOpti: …They’re…just neat. I honestly have no opinions on Opti (Sorry Opti Fans!!). They’re the smartest of the TamaTerrorz and I headcanon that they take control as the leader if Pal isn’t present. I also can’t give a big ol paragraph to this guy. They just exist to me. I like their design. Here, they’re labeled as TamaOpti_Eye in the fake credits. I apologize to the Opti fans again. I can’t tell a lot about this guy.

I know they are just doing their thing, trying to survive, picking up detritus of the natural world and putting it back into the food chain. Funky little guys doing a good job and all that.

But I cannot get over my aversion to *that* many ants inside the house. My only consolation is that they probably won't make it to the kitchen and most of our stuff is sealed in containers since the last seed moth explosion we had.

But stilllllllll. I hate it ants but I hate feeling icky about them too. Urrgg.

I used to 100% adore bugs, I never was squicked out when I was a kid. I don't know what happened, but i know they cannot stay here.

Three Books One Plot and ✨You✨

Now that our first season has drawn to a close we wanted to share some fun stats with you guys! This is information that was actually cut from our finale for time but, since we're so excited about it, we still wanted to share it with you all. It's been a hell of a year and, like we mentioned in our finale, we never expected for anyone besides us and a small group of friends/acquaintances to care so much about this silly project. But a lot of you cared. More than we thought would.

In fact, we had listeners from 50 countries over the course of the past year. This is what our top ten looks like, at a glance:

Shout out to anyone listening from any of these countries, and extra shout out to anyone listening from any other place in the world, too. (All 40 other countries.) As far as the US goes we weren't too shocked by our top five (California, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Texas are also the top five most populated states) but we were excited to see listeners in forty-five states plus DC. I've never done this amount of continued study before.. doing p much one after the other was a feat but I managed. / I also feel a sense of triumph through seeing obvious improvement when looking at the drawings in the order I did them. So, The Harvest...

Oh, you thought I wasn't coming back for you after spending five hours on Surrendering Sunflora, did ya? Thought you were slipping under my radar? Guess again, my spicy little friend...

The Harvest is of course Brassius' other named Artazon sculpture, and it tells its own compelling narrative, because... well, of course it does, have I taught you all nothing? Imagine this guy does something straight for 0.3 of a second.

Fellow gay theorist mini Holz will be demonstrating these for you today:

For simplicity's sake, we'll call these A, B and C respectively. Now, I've commented before that C is the perfect example of The Harvest being part-Brass, part-Hass and part-Arboliva, because of its colours, spikiness and form, but what's a story with only its ending?

And so, if one must be relevant to types, so must the others.

This is, as were the Sunfloras, allegorical. I've had to take the meanings from these, as representations of their types. But I've said it before and I'll say it again - this is what artists do, and this is also what people who makes game do. They ask you to consider their minds at the time of creation, and that's kinda of my whole deal, ripping that shit open like it's a goddamn Christmas present.

We start, therefore, with A. A's colours represent the Fire and Electric types - a passion, a spark, a zest and a joy in living. In colour theory, yellow is happiness, and red is fire - a blaze of emotion. And yet, it's circled by pale blue 'olives' - in Pokemon terms, the Ice type, and a type our dear Brassie is weak to. This is his beginning - creativity, smothered by the cold of depression. We know he was saved by Hass, which leads us to...

... B. B is saturated now in Ice - the cold has crept in, the depression and illness is defining him more than the joy in art. Except... now it's joined by pink. And this pink is damn close to the Psychic type, a type filled with knowledge, mental strength, and sunshine allegories - Solgaleo and Solrock, anyone? Or, you know, a man who looks far too much like a Sunflora...

B, therefore, is Brass finding Hass, at his lowest ebb. Hass is getting under his skin, showering him in praise, showing him that he's worth all the self-belief and self-confidence in the world, healing him... which is where the Dragon-type indigo comes in. This time, Hassel orbits him; he circles the outside, understanding, encouraging, boosting that mental strength by showing Brass how worthy and brilliant he is. Which leads to only one conclusion...

... C. C is harmony. C is the man we find before us in the game, the end product of all that boosting, all of Hassel's kindness - the confident, established artist, the man who has allowed colour and vibrance back into his life, orbited now once again by Electric olives - the spark's back. They almost look like miniature suns. Imagine that...

Grass and Dragon, in perfect complement.

Where this gets even more fascinating is that whilst you can find several versions of each colour variant in Artazon, the first place you encounter them is in the central plaza - and whilst A and B host a confused couple, each wondering where their love is...

... C stands separate, unconcerned.

Because C? C is anything but alone. It doesn't need one to wonder where the other is - they're right here, and they always will be.

Just to put the cherry on the cake of this adorable saga, though, we must head a town over. Game Freak so deep in their lore mini Holz has to cross Paldea to piece it together. Fucking spectacular, you funky little company.

Welcome to the central plaza of Levincia instead, where we find this homosexual lassooing his own C on a digital ad board with his own whip. And what's he lassooing it away from? The purple - or, in this case, the Poison type.

... You know, that one type that infects, that creates toxicity. One of those other types Grass is weak to. Nothing toxic will destroy this harmony, not on this man's watch; he will never regress back to the darkness and the depression whilst he has that Dragon beside him, whilst that spark remains.

Cg! Steven universe x male reader

Prompt #5. Character B has noticed a bunch of A’s little ticks. They decide to slowly start babying them in order to ease them into the age regression thing + Character B does research and wants to give caregiving a try.

Warnings: age regression as a coping mech, like a little bit of baby talk.

Y/n rubbed his eyes tiredly and let out a small yawn. He reached his hand out to grab a hold of his boyfriend's sleeve pulling on it, his speech was slurred as he tried to tell his boyfriend he was ready to go home from little home world "Stevie 'm w'ealy sweepy." Steven looked down at his partner and lifted them up into his arms. "ready to go home?" Y/n simply nodded, swinging his feet. "Alright let's roll, lil guy." Steven noted the small smile on his Boyfriend's face as he took him to the van letting him go into the passenger seat before getting behind the wheel. Y/n seem to struggle with his seat belt so Steven gently helps guide them to getting it right before starting back home. After getting y/n to bed Steven couldn't help but think about how cute it was when they fumbled for their sleep belt, or when their word slurred, and how they depended on him. Y/n being dependent was really something he had thought about before it wasn't like it's all he wanted in a relationship. Confused, he turned to the internet: 'is it alright to want to coddle my boyfriend?'

Links upon links showed up at his search and soon he began barreling down a dark rabbit hole of information going from site to site. Until early morning when he heard a creek in his bed from behind him at his seat in his desk. His entire face lit up excitedly as he watched y/n stand up and rub his little eyes and the sleeve classic black mystery universe shirt drooped down off his shoulder from being oversized. It had been Steven's shirt until y/n claimed it for himself when he moved in months ago. "G'mornin' Stevie." Steven's entire heart melted and he smiled at his baby. "Good morning baby. How did you sleep." He turned around in his chair holding out his arms and sure enough y/n came clamoring into them throwing their legs on either side of Steven and resting their chin on his shoulder. "It was ok. I had a funky dream" he muttered trying to bury his face deeper into his boyfriend's neck. He felt secure and warm.

"oh yeah?" Steven cooed, wiggling his finger into Y/n's sides mischievously gaining the most adorable giggle he'd ever heard. "What was it about?" Y/n unburied his face from Steven's neck and placed his hands on Steven's round cheeks staring at his face. "You were in it. And we were in a pink garden. Everything was pink, the grass, the flowers, you." Steven stiffened a bit at the thought of being pink again, but still smiled. "Wooooow, how cool. Do you want to see a pink garden bubba? I can take you?" Steven watched as Y/n's entire face lit up and all of his features seemed to soften into the cutest expression he'd ever seen. his eyes seem to go almost completely blank of thoughts and he let out a loud squeal and giggle combo, bouncing excitedly. "CAN YOU?!"

"Ok!"

"Of course I can. We can make it a picnic date." Steven laughed, kissing all over the cute cheeks in front of him and the palms of the hands gripping his face. "But first I have to talk to you about something I did some studying on then we'll go. Ok?"

"Ok. Lets go brush our teeth big guy." He helped y/n up guiding him towards the bathroom, listening to him talk about pancakes for breakfast and how much fun they'd have in the garden. Steven pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of Y/n talking animatedly with a toothbrush in his mouth. That was his baby.

Perfect Timing

We have a third actress in the mix too don't we? Another one building off seeds in Thriller Bark who's story includes something around a marriage and a theme of duality. Hey, this one's even got a little secret about her body she's sensitive about too! Remember that bit with Cindry and performer themed characters breaking narrative “rules?” Way to go Miss Pudding, I like you pulling double duty with your own cover story! Lovely way of playing with time.

Bare minimum a good chance to delve into how WCI and Wano thematically tie together...but we were just talking about how Blackbeard’s scenes are almost always a mirror of Luffy's current journey.

That thread doesn't need much more than building off of what's already been said. Last arc had a "Bad End" involving leaving behind a young lady on a sad note. While she fills a different role on paper, Blackbeard has captured said girl and has her stowed away on his ship. I like a couple of subtleties of this scene though. First you have the lovely use of the “Tower” type line from Vasco the jailer here. That was the tarot we explained, right? But also this nice little wrinkle of Law’s crew and Blackbeard’s not knowing anything about their naval proficency. Like us the readers but it’s something in universe characters may not have as much trouble with. 

Before going any further, I’d be remiss if I didn’t take any chance to manifest this. Oda, I won’t just accept a legendary callback to the scene (we already referenced recently) right before bringing Robin on. I'd love it. What got them calling Zoro awful names like four-swords back then? Telling them they should have just kidnapped Vivi if they wanted her so bad. Just saying...that works. It’d be a fun parallel to Dressrosa and Neko would help them plan it. Regardless, Pudding:

Pudding is a part of this whole...whatever you want to call it with Cindry and Kiku. Convention-defying actresses who can’t be tied down to one man or one cohesive folklore reference. We see her for the first time right around introducing the Tamataebako as our undersea adventure winds down, it interrupts her wedding destroying a big ol tower, then Kiku picks up the latter half of Urashima Taro's tale. Many of the same themes apply. Might have some more fun with that later. Finally, there was one more thing from 1064 that has Thriller Bark on my mind:

We're specifically calling attention to Luffy's old guy form being the "bad future" from the SBS. Harmless fun potentially but then again, what was Moria's role? A premonition of the ruinous road you're on. The "Subverted Sabaody" idea certainly feels strong right now. And I like this funky stuff with using the cover story and SBS in chapter. We've been slowly trickling light meta beats like that in recently, Kiku & Izo getting a couple of good ones. If nothing else, I get adorable scruffy teen Jinbei and that makes me happy.
