Not another word. Not if you want to keep that darling neck of yours. ❞ she snaps, a nasty sneer on her lips as the daggers nips at his skin. The remark is snooty and damn near hostile, but Yennefer of Vengerberg has never minced her words.  Like the crack of thunder she lets loose upon whoever dares come for her, swift and powerful as a bolt of lightning slashing through the sky. 

It has been too long a time now since last she's received word from Roland, much longer since last she's seen him; a lifetime worth of lies and secrecy lays between the two of them, and she does not trust him, nor anyone from Aretuza. Not now, when everything around her is changing, the Continent shifting into something darker, brutal; dangerous. She does not trust anyone.
