and of course the biggest moment: JIM :D. seriously what the fuck was that. only time he smiles the wide the whole series (times when he’s under the influence of drugs excluded). homosexuality at it’s finest.

speaking of drugs i find it very funny that the only time spock likes women if either when he’s under the influence or when he’s being mind controlled.

the way spock grabs him and just gives him the biggest stupidest grin. i love spock and spock loves kirk. they are in love you can also see how wide kirk was smiling from the way his cheeks move.

spirk was just so soft with each other this episode, even on vulcan. the way spock was so hesitant to fight him and tried his hardest to convince t’pau even when under the pon farr influence.

the way jim clearly tried not to hurt him through the whole fight,

t’pau and t’pring were so powerful and so wonderfully played.

obviously the whole thing with calling t’pring the property of whatever man wins her is very icky but as progressive as star trek was (and still is!), it is a product of it’s time unfortunately.

but besides that, they both just radiated power, and it was so nice to see a woman in a seat of major power.

on another note, stonn has a strikingly small forehead t’pribg i promise i could treat you better.

in my mind uhura wants t’pring (“she’s very lovely mister spock!” i know what you are ma’am.)

fourth: the episode was just. really good.

all of the tension build up before we find out about that spock is basically an omega is masterfully done, and even though i kinda new the plot, i was still sitting on the edge of my seat. incredible.

i also think tbe fight choreography during the gay sex fighting scene was actually really well done, especially when compared to other fight scenes in season 1 (the gorn fight comes to mind).

also the set design for vulcan felt like an actual planet. like usually when they go off the enterprise and onto a planet that’s not basically earth, you can tell that it’s just a bunch of foam blocks, but vulcan was very well made!

the conversation between spirk and kock kirk and spock about “vulcan biology” was very well written and acted in a way that was slightly awkward because of the nature of pon farr, but still felt natural and very in character.

side note: i see online that there’s a lot of people who think that shatner overacts. and i just don’t see it. idk i think he’s really good at playing kirk. i don’t really like the guy, but i like how expressive his acting is.

anyways this was very jumbled but i had a lot of thoughts and yeah.

i too would write the first slash fic in the 60’s if i saw this shit on my tv.

2. SO SCANDALOUS

"-ess.. princess. wake up, we need to get ready. kacchans making pancakes right now."

grumbling, she turns over to look at her clock. it's 10:15am, izuku let her sleep in a bit. today, the class was going out to the mall then the arcade to have class bonding time. with everything that's gone on, from the USJ incident and the tension from the sports festival, to the fight with stain (where endeavor unfairly took credit, causing the girl to have a "slight" hatred for him), and even the final exams, having to go against All Might with Bakugo and Midoriya, it was just a lot to handle. they're just kids, and kids need breaks.

walking into the bathroom, the girl began her daily morning routine.

"damn.. i look ROUGH..!" she said as she looked in the mirror. her bonnet looked as if it was trying to run away, her tank top was all twisted up, right boob was up in russia while the left one stayed home in america. she had eye boogers all around and her angel bite piercings were no where to be found.

she slept good.

"you know what... let me just wash my face right now and i'll do everything else after i eat."

her face care routine consists of ; black african soap, witch hazel, hydration drops, and a bit of coco butter.

finishing up and putting away her stray boobs, she found one of bakugos stolen hoodies and made her way downstairs.

"I was able to rent the arcade from 6:15 to 10:30, food and drinks included, along with lazer tag , and we get the option of going in the bounce area, so when we get there just let me know."

She's still a teen girl though, so she still loves to go shopping. The girl is really just happy that she's found friends that actually love her for her, and not for her money.

"don't even try it." ever since they could crawl, they've never let the girl lift a finger. hungry? chef katsuki at your service! scraped your knee? Dr.deku to the rescue! and yes, they know that she's the perfectly capable and well off to do these things on her own, but why should she when she has two men to do it for her?

"anyways. we've all known eachother since literally birth. i see things, i observe things. you two are literally inseparable. im pretty sure y'all first words were eachothers names. you know how you act around him, you see with your own two (or four) eyes the way he acts with you, and im pretty sure he peeps it too. just ask eachother out already and stop being pussies for fucks sake!"

"oh my gosh?? shut the fuck up?? you're so damn loud??" she said, slapping him in the back of his neck.

I just have to say you are restoring my faith in humanity with all your Top and Mew opinions. People are so weird about them I just don't get it. Their dynamic to me is so exciting and I look forward to their scenes every week. What really strikes me about Top and what a lot of people don't want to see is that he truly wants someone to care for and look after. The way he so quickly took to taking care of Mew you can tell he really treasures him. I also just love how much of an enigma Mew is (in the best way), he always subverts expectations and I think he really needed someone like Top in his life, regardless of what's going to happen in the future.

Thank you for asking these two. For Loghain I hope you all are ready for me having OPINIONS about him. Reading Stolen Throne served to something.

Dorian:

First impression: As for Zevran, he checks all the marks that will make me instantly love a character. Cocky, charismatic, witty, histrionic and very theatrical. He was there and he spoke and I suddenly understood why all the fanarts with people praising him. Also I remember looking at his outfit puzzled and thinking how and why he's not dying frozen in the snow with a shoulder totally bare I would have pneumonia and the plague in his place.

Impression now: If you're not here from 5 minutes you may have realised that he's one of my favourite characters. He's one of my favourite characters even from outside the saga. He's well written, deeply characterised, a good combination of virtues and flaws he's there working on! He's my son the apple of my eyes my sweet pea and I live in terror of writing him as just the gay friend.

Favorite moment: I think I have to choose the cutscene after Adamant. Beside the fact that he has a very human and relatable reaction, he's the only one in the Inner Circle that not only apologizes for venting on you, but asks you how are you back. No one else does, even your love interest if you're in a romance. That was the thing that pushed me to write some expansion on that scene... And it was the first prose I wrote and shared with other people in YEARS.

Idea for a story: Too many! I'd love to see what he's doing after Trespasser and his work with the Lucerni. Or, I'd love personally to dig more into Adoribull. I had one prompt about them which I think I'd love to expand... Again, if he's not the local gay friend without any other characterisation, if there's him I'll read it. Acciaierie.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think I have many opinions about him that are unpopular, LOL. Maybe the only one is that that one dialogue option about slavery should have been treated with more depth and with a follow up... Particularly if you play with a Lavellan. I attempted it here if you want to read more (you don't need to read the rest, it's followable by itself.)

Favorite relationship: Him with the Inquisitor, both romantically and platonically, it's just something that melts me every time. Adoribull? Yes I like it a lot (Bull brought him his handkerchief because he forgot!!). And also with Sera. I just like how he puts a lot of effort in communicating and trying to build relationships with the others. But with Sera? They just work so well (and I think both of them are people that masks a lot just how much they care, and work so well for that)

Favorite headcanon: Ok, I have three: 1) The Bog Unicorn wasn't a random finding, it was Dorian's making experiments. (an attempt was made here, again you can read the chapter by itself) 2) Dorian can't cook to save his life past putting together a sandwich without cooking anything. 3) In spite of that, Dorian will act as your average Italian on the internet. Pineapple on pizza will be taken as a personal offense. He has opinions about the was the cook in Skyhold cooks pasta, and won't have a problem in expressing them. He's actually banned from the kitchens. Has declared a war against the wines served in the Keep. By now Josephine just signs his orders for some "real wine" from Tevinter and lets him do to save herself a headache and a long heated tirade about "Why Orlesian wine is actually vinegar".

I am very normal about Dorian.

Loghain:

First impression: I liked him! Nice antagonist, a big old Machiavellian prince. Kind of an asshole (I get the "tragic accident" to get rid of Cailan: he is the most boring Lawful Good paladin was dangerous and a liability for the kingdom, but maybe don't kill all the Wardens too), but a good one with logic and who knows his shit. Liked him a lot.

Impression now: I've read Stolen Throne. And it that book for me was pain (I... I really don't like how David Gaider writes romances), Loghain was the light in the dark. He's a great character, I love him your honour. Fascinating, well rounded, with some solid reasonings, I like him a lot.

Favorite moment: Landsmeet, I love the dignity he faces his death with. A good ending for a good character, very elegant, very dignified. Respect.

Idea for a story: A Stolen Throne retelling with a big fix it: Loghain and Maric get together. It's there. They have chemistry. Maric swoons and Loghain picks him up. Maric is an idiot, but it's Loghain's idiot. I won't write that retelling because I probably would have to read it again to structure it and once was enough. But...!

Unpopular opinion: I don't know if it's really unpopular, but I think he's an antagonist and not a villain. He opposes the main characters, hence an antagonist. A villain, tho? He doesn't act for Evil. His one mistake is not believing it's a Blight because the premises for him are too little and he has reasons in not trusting a mysterious Order that idiot Cailan will do anything to please. It's not that he thinks his actions are for a greater good, he's actually acting for good. It ties with my opinion that Cailan sucks as king and that Anora was better off alone.

Favorite relationship: Loghain/Maric, hands down.

Favorite headcanon: As above. He and Maric were in love. It needed to happen. But we've been unfairly deprived of it.

Also I know its a part of Rumi's official design but I actually really really love the openings on the sides of rumi's clothes because I hc healing magic in a really specific way. Like to cast it you have to physically lay your hands on the person, but it doesn't have to be on the injury, just the person. So you could hold their hand and cast it (which is what Rumi does for Peter, they hold his hand or cup his face ((very lovingly)) WOAGH who said that anyway) and it would work the same as touching any other part of their skin; BUT!! you can't cast it through clothes. So when Peter goes to heal Rumi he would put his hands on their hip openings and cast his magic then.

I'm pretty sure that exandroth is the one who can cast healing magic?? But I'm going to pretend both of them can after Peter figures out the low level magic :3

So if it was pre-biblically-accurate-androgynous-sex, then Peter would typically hold their hand or touch their neck or something and Rumi would grab his hands and bring them to their hips because there's more skin to touch, meaning more room to cast. And then the biblically-accurate-androgynous-sex made Peter feel much more confident in a lot of different ways, but also much more confident when it came to Rumi, so post-biblically-accurate-androgynous-sex he would do it without hesitation :]

This also goes the same in reverse, Rumi would just hold his hand to heal him after a battle, (andddd maayybbeee the hand-holding lasted a little longer than the time it took to cast a healing spell because they just wanted to hold hands) but after their night together it became much more common for Rumi to lift Peter's shirt up to look at the injury and heal it directly or cup his face in their hands and heal him that way.

What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

MY BAD it has taken me a little while to get to every fic writer question ive been asked pfft but i appreciate all of them and theyre really fun to answer :o and alright ok common things—character psychology is a big thing in all of my work :o aa every time i write a characters pov i try to do at least some research into their personality, backstory, etc etc bc my writing is almost always like?? character study type things?? i Really like delving deep into how characters think!!! :o so a lot of my works are like. you Will hear almost every thought in their head HAH. ive been told i have a very recognizable writing style widndnd but i do try to switch up internal dialogue at least a little bit depending on the pov character. i dont know how effective i am at that but i try HAH plus i think its fun trying to capture how someone thinks in the same way that youd try to capture how they speak in their dialogue. i think the most obvious example is probably my recent reinhard stuff—i tried to sound more formal with him? even with little kid reinhard i wrote his internal dialogue kind of formally because i figured that Might be able to create that bit of Dissonance that reinhard has as a character, you know? hes uncanny.

and uh because i focus on internal dialogue a lot, by the nature of things i kind of Have To slap the unreliable narrator tag on the vast majority of my fics HAH but unreliable narrators are fun and i love playing with them!! and i think its realistic in the sense that even a character thats very fair and just and honest may still have the wrong information at times or have emotion cloud their judgment or be a little unreliable for those reasons. that and i tend to pick the mentally fucked characters (which is pretty easy with the rezero cast HAH) whenever i write Very detailed internal dialogue so!!! unreliable narration and spirals into madness it is!!! i just really like exploring like. the humanity behind each character and all their nuances <3 and i Love having to squint at internal dialogue and add that up with a characters thoughts and actions and figure out who this person Actually Truly Is Like?? its like a puzzle :o !!

as for themes. i went into this a lot in another fic writer ask thingy but Definitely like. when characters change as a result of shit hitting their fan and/or their own choices and now theyre Different from the person they used to be. they came back wrong so now what are they going to do? how are the people around them going to treat them now? how will they treat the people around them? i just really like going into like. identity crisis… and um…. suffering that triggers massive self searching bc. the character changed in some way in order to survive through it physically and/or mentally. like seeing characters change for the worse and seeing them either try to crawl their way out or they. keep going down. it can be hopeful or very tragic!!! (bc i love hurt/comfort and tragedy a lot ajdnd) and complicated relationships are a huge favorite of mine to tackle. fascinating multi-layered stuff that i want to study under a microscope!!! i like when multiple contradictions exist within a dynamic or like. a character and their journey. the complexity feels very real to me and i find it intriguing :o

i also love queer themes but due to um. some of the toxicity in this fandom i do hesitate to do stuff with that in this fandom but i DO love queer themes its just not in most of my work atm but thatll change eventually 👍 ill at least slip in a little bit every chance i get 👍👍 (i have exactly one fic with queer themes atm wjdnd)

Ok but @elle-smells sort of inspired me with this since she posted cool things she’s doing with Carmen in 2023, so I wanna talk about cool things I’m doing then as well as soon cool things I’m doing before 2022 ends.

2022:

- going to see this Swedish singer in concert with my aunt 🥰 which I’m quite excited about because she’s quite a fun singer and my aunt payed so 🤭

- seeing the New Years revue in my town. A friend of mine is acting in it this year and another one of my pals are working off stage, so I’m excited to see it and hopefully also get to hug my friends ☺️

- I’m also trying to see some of my friends while I’m home which is exciting. I’m also gonna work which will be fun in that I’ll see my colleagues that I really like.

Ok ok 2023 things:

- I’ll be reunited with my cat (not me being that dramatic). I left her with a friend over the holidays because I don’t want to put her through copious amounts of traveling for such a short time.

- I’m seeing “we’re all doomed” which is extra fun since one of the people who’re tagging along is an Internet friend of mine I’ve known for over seven years and I’m just really excited to meet her in person 😭❤️ one of the first things we bonded over was liking Dan and Phil, so this truly feels like a full circle moment. (One of my friends I saw TATINOF will also be there which also feels ironic in a sense. Like 6 years later and we’re seeing Dan live again 😭😭)

- I’m writing my bachelor’s thesis which I know will both stress me out and will be fun.

- I might volunteer again at this litterateur convention (and hopefully get some of my friends to do it as well), which was really fun. Perhaps only one day this year though so I can actually see some of the things I really want, but who knows.

- my theatre group is putting up this production and it’s gonna be really good, I can already tell. I was really drawn to the dad character and like no one else wanted it so I’ll probably get it and I love that funky man with zero brain cells, I love it.

OK, FINALLY HOME, TIME TO SAY MY THOUGHTS ON THE TRAILER

The animation was really good, even for Illumination. You can really tell Nintendo *put a lot of money in to make this look good (read: held a gun to Illumination's head to make sure they didn't fuck this up)

So, fun fact about me, before this trailer, I have never heard Jack Black's voice. I didn't even know who he was until he got cast! Still, I gotta, you can tell he put a lot of effort into Bowser's voice, to make it that perfect mix of villainous so you can see why he's seen as a threat but also cartoony enough to be funny.

Speaking of funny, the scene with the peinguins? Hilarious!

Also, internet, can we bully Nintendo into getting rid of Crisp Rat? That man IS not Mario. We did for Sonic's design, we can do it for this.

Instead of trying to gas her, the Keepers decided to lock Audrey up with the rest of the Cyclebreakers

The barrier curtains that cover the cells? Outta here! Audrey interacting with Henry and Sammy (and Norman, he's there too) more then in-game!

During this stint in prison, Audrey sees one of the communication-radio thingies that Allison talked to her on nearby and goes for it while her cellmates cause a distraction!

She speaks into it only to hear instead...Porter?!

He was in the nearby area of one and heard her voice coming out of it and decided to strike up a conversation!

Obviously, she's like, "h e l p m e" and Porter, while kinda not getting the fact that her life's in danger, promises to come save her!

Audrey gives him instructions to find a woman with a sword named Alice and that he has to find a way to take out the power, because his powers would be canceled out.

But then the Keepers come and take Audrey away!

And they uh...let's just say that her punishment was exactly what Bendy was trying to prevent

And that everyone in the prison heard her screams.

And there was a certain someone with incredible hearing far away from the prison who heard her.

A n y w a y s, the next day, there's a power outage! So Audrey, Sammy, Henry and Norman take this opportunity to escape! (With Henry carrying Norman's head)

During the chaos they manage to unite with Porter, Allison, and Tom (the latter two have to be told that Sammy is an ally, so don't curbstomp him please-)

But then the Keepers corner them, and when it seems like they're dead just when they had a chance, the Ink Demon comes and takes advantage of the lack of power to f*ck em up!

While the others want to use Bendy's rampage as cover to escape, Henry, Audrey and Sammy aren't so inclined.

For Sammy, it's relatively simple; he can't abandon his lord! Not at his grand revival! What kind of prophet would he be?

For Audrey, she's having an internal debate. On one hand, she knows the Ink Demon could kill her, if stories from her cellmates are true and he had. On the other hand, he came here, even after what had happened to him here.

(Wilson spilled what he did to Bendy when he came by in a attempt to get Audrey's trust. It Did Not Work)

He wouldn't have done that just for no reason, and the reason that a part of her wanted to believe that it was to help her. (That part of you is right Audrey~)

Henry's having a similar debate, with the knowledge of the Cycle and the fact that's Bendy's one of Joey's pawns too.

The party's left in a stalemate until Porter just straight up yells to Bendy, "Hey silly! We're leaving soon! You don't wanna be left behind!"

And Bendy? He actually listens and heads towards the group

So now we have Allison and Tom trying to run away from Bendy but also trying not to leave Henry, Audrey, and Porter behind, Bendy in his massive Ink Demon self running behind him, Porter quick teleporting and having the time of his life, Sammy frantically screaming about Bendy, Norman screeching into Allison's ears, and Audrey and Henry just trying to keep up and wondering "how did my life get to this point"

It all comes to a climax when they're almost out of the prison when the power comes back on! And the Keepers found them

Bendy's shrinking into Benders and the Keepers are making a move on him and that's when Audrey makes her choice...

...by scooping him up in his arms and yelling at everyone to keep running

A long and heavy chase ensues, until the group manages to hide and shake them off

Thinks about ghosts as a recurring motif in BATDR. In the literal sense with Carly, the Phantoms of the Machine, Memory! Joey, etc. But also thinks about ghosts in a figurative sense. Joey haunting the studio even after dying, but not being the real Joey, just haunted by the monster the man was. Henry being created solely for Joey to haunt and torture. Audrey being haunted by Joey's legacy and not even remembering it. Alice being haunted and tormented over a false standard of perfection. Allison being haunted by Alice and what could have been. Bendy being haunted over never being good enough for Joey and being tortured and forced into what everyone else wants him to be until he meets Audrey.

Hey thanks for the question, I didn't even know people actually read my tags so.. Wow!

To begin this LONG spiral, I'll start with blossom.

When I was redesigning blossom, she was originally going to be white since I wanted her to be the most recognizable...but that decision changed when I realized that everyone (except boomer and bubbles) have different ethnicities and or races. I thought it would be fun to actually be creative and try something unique, you know? I mean, I'm black and I would love to see a black ppg leader and junk. Plus I really wanted to show that anyone race can fit into being a perfect little boy or girl.

Fun fact: since I made her black, I gave her a little bit of a reder skin tone (like brick) since not only can it make her colors pop but it can also make her design even more unique.

Another thing that inspired me to make blossom black was @/racketballz art if her!! You should go check it out it's really nice <33

Now let's get to brick.

I made brick mixed [mixed w/ native american and Hispanic descent] since I feel like it would really fit him! Plus I love to hc that when he's furious he just starts swearing like a sailor in Spanish.

Also, I decided to give the rrb horns for when they use their powers. I felt like it would be cool since they did regain their powers from him so I thought it would make sense for them to have some demon like features. (for example, their claws).

Now, let's talk about butters and butch since they'll be the easiest to talk about (besides bubbles)

I decided to make buttercup Asian (specially southeast Asian) since I just REALLY felt like it not only matched her design but I also thought it would be cool to have a lot more diversity in the main cast.

Another is that it wasn't really hard creating her design 🧚‍♀️✨

Ok, now for Butch.

For butch, decided to make him Native Hawaiian. As for his design, uhhh tbh idk. I gave him goggles since I love the hc that he loves to blow up stuff so in the process he decided to learn how to make bombs from brick (which later on becomes his job since brick literally pretty much does everything else for their team). And idk.... I just tried to make him look as chaotic as possible.

A.N: Ok, so first of all I’m 15 (almost 16 though!) and I have no clue how alcohol or being drunk works. I also don’t know if cold water sobers you up but I decided for the purposes of this fic it didn’t! Also- I had a total blast writing this. Fili and Tullaina are one of my favorite couples, and I loved these prompts because I just got to have so much fun with them! I hope I wrote Tullaina okay, and I really hope you like this!

The Grumpiness of Uncles Does Not Outweigh the Drunkenness of Nephews {Fíli x Tullaina}

“Fíli! What in Mahal’s name are you doing?”

Tullaina stood in the doorway of the best pub in Erebor, watching her fiancé- the prince of Erebor and heir to the throne- dance along the tabletops.

The issue wasn’t that he was a bad dancer. It wasn’t even the embarrassment this would cause him in the morning (he knew what would happen when he got drunk! It happened every single time). The issue was that, firstly, Fíli had a big meeting in the morning and would not do well hungover, and secondly, the elves were going to be arriving for said meeting any minute (Thorin had grumbled for hours about how Thranduil had “No respect for sleep,” and that “Some of us can’t stay up all night and then look fresh as daisies in the morning.”)

After the fiasco that had happened the last time the elves visited, which had involved Fíli, Kíli, several jugs of ale, and a game of catch, Thorin was determined to keep everything under control for this visit.

“TULLAINA!” Fíli exclaimed, jumping down from the table and drunkenly making his way over to her.

“I love you,” he said, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Tullaina giggled for a moment, then shook her head and pushed him away. “Tell me that when you’re sober. Now c’mon. The elves should be here any moment.”

“ELVES! Where?” He crouched into a battle-stance and looked around warily.

Tullaina laughed, grabbing his arm and dragging him out the door. She rounded the corner of the pub, entering the alleyway behind it.

“Did you get it?”

“Yes,” said a figure, stepping forward out of the darkness.

“Kíli!!” Fíli greeted his brother with a wave. “Did you know I Love Tulls? I. Love. Tullaina.”

“Oh, wow. He really is drunk,” Kíli said.

Tullaina nodded. “Yup. Now let’s do this so that we can get to the gates and not have Thorin scold us.”

Kíli nodded, reaching down and grabbing a large bucket. Tullaina knew what was in it- ice cold water.

“Ready?”

Tullaina let go of Fíli and backed up. “Ready.”

Kíli hefted the bucket over his head, dumping all the cold water over his brother. Fíli starting shrieking as the cold water rained down over him, jumping and squirming and generally just not looking very pleased as his brother and fiancé both cackled while watching him.

Tullaina waited until Fíli had shaken most of the water off, then approached him. “You at least slightly clear-headed now?”

“Huh? Oh, Tullaina! Kíli, did you know I love Tulls?”

Kíli sighed. “Ok. That didn’t work at all.”

“Yeah, no kidding,” said Tullaina. “We need to figure this out.”

Kíli walked up to his brother, placing a hand on each of Fíli’s shoulders and looking him directly in the eyes.

“Fíli,” he began.

“Yes?”

“Yes, hi. It’s me. We’re about to go see Uncle Thorin and Uncle Bilbo, and we’re going to be greeting the elves. You need to act completely normal. Got it?”

Fíli nodded, suddenly looking very serious. “I’ve got it.”

Tullaina and Kíli let out simultaneous sighs of relief, each grabbing one of Fíli’s arms to frog-march him to the front gates.

As they walked, Fíli asked, “Do you think Thranduil will let me touch his ears?”

“No,” Kíli told him.

“Awwwww,” Fíli pouted. “But they’re so pointy. I want to touch them!!!!!”

The next morning, Tullaina sat on the window seat in her bedroom, watching F​​íli blink his eyes open in the spot he’d collapsed last night- spread eagle on her bed.

“Did you know that you talk in your sleep?” She asked.

“Tulls?” Fíli shot up to a sitting position, blinking his eyes in confusion.

“You collapsed in here last night because you were very drunk,” she told him. “Anyways, did you know talk in your sleep?”

Fíli looked wary. “I did not know that. May I ask what I said?”

Tullaina giggled. “Let’s see, there may have been a fully formed dream-plan to prank Thranduil’s son for revenge-”

“Did you write it down?”

“I- what?” Tullaina was confused by the sudden interruption.

“Tullaina. Focus. Did you write it down?”

She shook her head, and Fíli’s head sank back in disappointment.

“I remember it, though!”

Fíli’s head shot back up. “Great! We’ll discuss it later. What else did I say?”

“There was also a whole lot of grumbling about ‘the grumpiness of uncles,’ and how ‘ever since Uncle Thorin had married Bilbo he’d gotten supremely worse about manners.’”

Fíli groaned. “I hope I didn’t say anything like that in front of my Uncles!”

Tullaina smirked. “Well, you actually did a whole lot worse.”

Fíli shot out of bed. “What?! What did I do?!”

Tullaina sat back against her pillows with the air of someone who was taking entirely too much delight in telling someone else something.

“Well,” she began. “You started off an abysmal night by commenting on the pointiness of the Elven-Kings ears. In front of the whole elven delegation- and like ninety percent of Erebor.”

Fíli flopped back onto the bed in despair. “I really hate to ask, but… did I touch them?”

“Welllllllll, no.”

He sighed in relief.

“However, you did somehow manage to touch Legolas’s ears. And then Legolas caught a whiff of your breath and commented on how drunk you must have been. And then Thorin… well, let’s just say Thorin was not pleased. Especially not when you started yelling at Legolas.”

“What did I yell at Legolas about?” Fíli looked like he wanted to shrivel up and never be seen again.

The smirk on Tullaina’s face was growing. “You said, and I quote, “C’mon, Leggy!! Bros don’t rat out other bros for being drunk at a diplomatic thingy! And you! I thought you were a bro! How could you?”

“So that’s why I wanted revenge in my dream?” Fíli asked.

Tullaina nodded.

“It’s official,” Fíli declared. “I will never leave this room again.”

“I would say that was a good idea,” Tullaina said. “Except for the fact that as of right now, you are officially late to the ‘crisis management (the crisis being your behavior last night) meeting that Thorin scheduled for this morning. The one that all the elves will be attending.”

Fíli shot into the room where Thorin usually held all important meetings, skidding to a halt in shock as he saw the faces of the people inside.

It was everyone. All the elves, Thorin, Bilbo, even little Frodo! And- was that-

“Tullaina?”

Everyone in the room started laughing.

Fíli stood there in complete bewilderment. “What- what is happening?”

Thorin approached him. “Last night, when you were behaving so ridiculously, we figured out that if dwarven-elven relations could withstand that kind of diplomatic fiasco, we could withstand anything.”

Thranduil stepped forward. “Exactly. However, your Uncle still felt you deserved some punishment for last night. So, your all-too-willing fiancée stepped in.”

Tullaina gave Fíli a little wave.

“So- so I’m not in trouble?”

Thorin laughed. “No. We thought that the fact that everyone, until the end of time, will remember you asking to touch an elf’s ears was enough.”

Fíli was blushing like crazy.

“Fine,” he said. “But my retribution for this will be legendary! They shall mark this day as the day when Fíli, Prince of Erebor, came up with his greatest prank ever!” He spread his arms wide to punctuate the declaration.

And then promptly stopped, holding out his hand. “Now, c’mon, Tulls. I’m hungry. Let’s go to the kitchens.”

As the two left the room, Fíli turned around just long enough to yell one more thing.

“There will still be repercussions for this, never fear! There shall be RE-PER-CUSSIONS!”

The large double doors to the conference room slammed shut in their wake, and everyone in the room could hear them walking down the hallway on the other side, Tullaina giggling as she teased Fíli and him good-naturedly replying.
