The soft light from the sun had been peaking into the room Empress and Jester were in. A soft smile decorated her face as she listened to him rant about how the human he was working with was incompetent. How they couldn’t even show manners because they told him to leave. How he was kicked out of what a dead corpse was in because they didn’t want a weak demon.

'’ my dear, you aren’t at fault for this,‘' She grabbed his hands and pulled him closer, '’ They are. They can’t appreciate what you do for them sweetheart.‘'

She muttered something under her breath before looking at his arms and seeing scars. Scars that she couldn’t protect him from before. Scars that she hated seeing on others. Scars that she had on herself. '’ ..My dear.. are these making you feel like you are not worth it..? ‘' She asked, genuine concern in her red eyes. She held him close, lifting up his arm and ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) placed a kiss on the scar.

'’ if it’s these scars that are making you feel like you aren’t worth the trouble, I will make sure you feel worth it. ‘' She promised, her gaze holding adoration and kindness.
