Blocktober Day 12: Calm
Twelve is probably the calmest Numberblock (in contrast to her brother), so here she is meditating.

I know I said that some higher beings probably gave birth to these in order for 12 and 18 to be the only siblings (as far as I’m aware), but can I propose an alternate theory (and an incorrect quote)?
18, picking 12 up: You’re my sis now! We’re having flapjacks later! :D

Part 12 of asking octonauts related questions until season 5 comes out
When did you start watching Octonauts?
Mine: between 2015 and 2017 I think I don’t remember but I remember the show reminded me of another show I used to love and still do Sheriff Callie’s Wild West I also remember having a crush on Captain Barnacles but keeping it a secret this seems stupid but when I was a kid I pretended to hate it because I felt awkward watching it but I secretly loved it whenever my parents would come in my bedroom while I was watching it I would turn my iPad off I did the same with other shows like Numberblocks (I still do the same thing and keep the fact I watch Octonauts a secret from my family)
That kinda turned into a childhood story-
Does anyone have a similar story?

been watching numberblocks episodes. and of course thinking about numberblocks. so I will now subject you to all of the thoughts so far
why is the alternative number system in that episode about questions is still base ten?
they canonically speak english (they communicate with the Alphablocks, who speak english)
"square roots" in the measuring episode is a pun (16 even splits to 4 4s because 4 is 16's square root)
sometimes numberblocks have alternate forms. however, with some algebra, some of these can be proven to equal their normal version. (Alternate forms so far: Blue 1s, the Terrible Twos, the Three Threes, the Four Fours, Gray 7s, Octonaughty, the Colorful 8s, 9s with Colored Blocks, and the Blue 11.)
when is the crossover with colourblocks
i wanna see the "what if the only numbers were odd numbers?" idea i had in an episode
where is 60 physically located in this shot from the time episode?
from the same episode, 40 says "no time for slowing" right after a 5/4 measure interrupts the series of 4/4 measures, making it slower
why did 1 just keep adding 1 to get to the "biggest number ever" (100) instead of repeatedly doubling? (gets past 100 in 7 steps)
how does the time travel in the time travel episode work?
what does a magic mirror copying a numberblock look like from the back, or even the side?
8 = 4+4 = 2+2+2+2 = 8 (all of these were seen already. perhaps this is a plot twist later?)
do all copies of the same number share like a hivemind? what about if they never were at the same time?
how does numberblock biology work to be achiral (magic mirror clones seem to work just fine), combinable, and color change when combined? And they canonically need to eat? And sleep?
they need to eat, thus increasing their density or volume. however, in certain places, seesaws are used to compare numbers (meaning density is constant for numberblocks) and blocks are used as a unit of measurement (meaning volume is also constant for numberblocks of the same value). therefore that extra mass has to go somewhere. combined with other evidence (42's bath existing, 13 hesitating before saying puddle, etc) the conclusion is clear.
where did 1 come from originally?
when is the next episode coming out, i've run out of lore
all the things in the 12 days of christmas song canonically exist too. the most worrying of these is probably the maids.
how did 1 manage to go in the perfect direction to land in alphaland
how have they managed to fit the odds pun over 2 times?

Not to knock what other people enjoy, but outside of how cool some of the designs look, I personally don't have much interest in humanised Numberblocks. For me, their inhumanity is part of what makes them so interesting and fun.
They're sentient blocks that can shape-shift and fuse together to create other characters. You can have multiple copies of the exact same person at once. Somehow every Five or Three or Seven or whatever number seems to have the same memories and personality and sense of self no matter where they came from... Except Octonaughty and the Terrible Twos, who are evil (well, naughty) for no discernible reason. We're told 12 and 18 are siblings, yet nobody has any parents or a childhood or a birth - they just come into existence when some blocks form their number. That's wild! That's bizarre! That's cool!
Numberblocks is such a creative show, and there's so much you can explore with how the characters interact with each other and the world.
#again i do not want anyone to stop making humanisations if that's what they enjoy#i want people to have fun#but i like them best in block form#numberblocks

a bunch of numbers from another realm...
as you can probably tell, they're based on the characters from numberblocks.
lore will be introduced.
7 has the ability to create rainbows, and manipulate colors. Unfortunately, he has anger issues. If not controlled, his anger transforms him into a darker, more powerful version of himself.
This version is called -7, and is based on F.
-7 create thunderstorms, and can remove color from anyone to make them feel negative emotions. 7 tries to avoid this by thinking about things he likes, listening to music, or escaping into his own space. He also has an Irish accent.
8 is autistic. Their special interest is, the legendary hero of Numberland himself, Octoblock. They have grown tentacles to try and be like him. Their tentacles can allow them to walk on walls, grab things above others' reach, etc.
9 was born a very sneezy number. No matter how hard he tries, he can't stop sneezing. However, this can be used to his advantage...
12 is made out of rubber.
14 is a one-sided toxic duo. They don't get along well, but if 1 tried to dump 4, he will eat him whole. This is why 1 never leaves his side.
16 manipulate others to do their bidding, which makes them seem evil. But what if they were to use their powers for good?
17 is very silly. 7 has the powers to use telekinesis and telepathy. It can also read minds, but that makes it nervous when anyone (except the 1) walks by them. 1 doesn't mind. All they care about is if whether or not 7 is alright.
18... is a different story. 8 is flirty, and goes about her day singing to herself. The 1 she has by her side is her wingman, but he seems more interested in her than anyone else is.
19 is mysterious. 9 is the leader of a mysterious clan. 1 may not look like much, but he is 9's guardian. Calling him a staff only makes him angrier, and stronger. 1 has the abilities of your average, ordinary, everyday dragon. The only difference is that he knows the dark arts.
A robotic 2 was made by 1, a scientist who only needed someone by their side.
26 is the planet in which the numbers live on. She doesn't like all the conflict and danger that happens on her. She wishes she could do something. Anything. But all she can just do is watch.
