Forgot to share more of my octonauts otp lore.

Shellington had the captains pubs (basically his children) the two never been happier than ever. But tunip and the vegimals were worried shellington would forget them since, shell basically raised them and now has a litter to care for. But there's always room for them.

Tsunami Crisis Trailer Analysis - Part Three (Scene 5 & Conclusion)

Scene Five: A Pirate Ship of Yore?

Kwazii at the wheel of a large wooden ship. Dashi, Shellington, Peso, Tweak and the Vegimals being thrown around the ship as waves crash over the edge. Turtles and shiny gemstones scattered across the deck. A notable absence of Professor Inkling and Captain Barnacles…

Oh boy. 

I reckon this must take place during or post-tsunami, around the same time we see the Captain at the bottom of the mysterious cavern. Where did they get a ship from? Did they build it to find the Captain? What are the gemstones?! 

Given we can assume that during the tsunami period of the movie the crew will be Gup-less, it would make sense for them to find or create an alternate method of transportation. It seems very unlikely that they find an entire ship intact somewhere, just waiting to be used, so perhaps - in the absence of their Captain and Professor - they have worked together to build this ship to navigate the storm and reunite their team. It wouldn’t be completely out of the question, given Tweak is known to work fast (e.g. in the unseen time gap before the end of Skeleton Coast Adventure, she presumably repaired the Octopod, created and distributed the OctoWatches, and built at least the first of the Terra-Gups, the OctoRay). 

The gemstones could prove that theory wrong, though. Perhaps one of Kwazii’s wild legends is true, and there was a ship tucked away somewhere, filled with treasure and waiting to be set sail once more.

But what about the Captain and the Professor?

Sadly, with the limited information we have, I cannot properly theorise where Inkling may be - either he is below deck, he’s lost on his own adventure, or he is somewhere off-screen with the Captain. Personally, I think it would be really nice to see more Captain-Inkling screen time together; as the founder of the Octonauts, Inkling must have seen something in Barnacles to hire him as the captain of the crew, and I like to imagine he’s been a mentor figure to both the Captain and the crew as they’ve formed close bonds and traversed many missions together.

Conclusion/Final Thoughts

To say I’m hyped for this movie would be an understatement. My fingers are crossed that we’ll get a Netflix/UK dub release (although things are a little uncertain at the moment due to several factors - Mariana Trench Productions explains it very well in this video). The past two Octonauts movies were chock-full of amazing stories, banging soundtracks (the Octonauts soundtrack overall is INCREDIBLE) and wonderful animation, and I have no doubt that Tsunami Crisis will be the same brilliant quality.

As for what I want out of it? Well, I’m hoping to get some more crucial lore - both Sac-Actun and Rings of Fire were filled to the brim with lore, particularly Sac-Actun. Some more information about certain character’s backstories like Inkling would be great. My musical heart would also love some epic orchestral pieces for the dramatic scenes, and a nice recurring leitmotif throughout the movie!

Yeah. Octonauts headcannons. Ctgd edition.

After I drew that art. I started thinking about their design. And the ones that suffered the most from the headcanon design were Dashi, Peso and Tweak.. ,nvm

(If there is no orientation flag in the pride headcanons, then they are hetero)

Their age is by human standards.

I also wanted to add flags of countries there, for headcanons of their nationalities. But I haven’t figured out where Kwazii comes from yet. Aeaeaah

And about vegimals. I don't know how many there are. But I'll figure it out later. :)
