Just watched Wolf Pack again, I've got even more questions and theories after 7 episodes. We still don't know what happened to Connor, he wasn't in the pile of bodies. So where is he, dead or alive ? Turned or not ? Did Ramsey save him, 'cause then I'm betting the poor kid is locked up somewhere safe.
Am I the only one thinking maybe Ramsey set the fire? I mean she's there as a chief arson investigator, they only needed one if there was a fire and we know she's also there for the werewolf. Coincidence? 'Cause it would make sense she'd help Everett and Blake surviving, they are the perfect guarantee that the werewolf is going to keep showing up. Ramsey is the mom... But how can she have fought with her son if Baron is the same age as the twins and she lost him 17 years ago ? Or maybe he's much older and they're wrong about his age... Do the wolves not age as long as they don't go to a human/monster werewolf form ?
Also, pretty sure she saved Danny from becoming the next kill because he hit Blake and the werewolf would have seen this as a threat. Does this mean she can control her werewolf form?
That amazing scene in the woods with those poor guys running for their lives... But if they killed dad, why would the mom just go after them and not stay with her pups ? I mean kids surrounded by fire > revenge or you're just not a good mom sorry XD
(also, one of they guys is still alive, if you go for revenge go all the way you know what I mean... but since she's putting up everyone to believe there's a sort of serial killer running around, maybe Malcolm will get what's coming for him)
Don't think she wants to kill Garrett, but then again if he becomes a threat I don't think she's going to show him mercy either. If she's the twins mom killing him would be a bad idea but well, can't trust a beast when it gets angry.
Everett is so linked with Baron.. And Blake, it's weird that he doesn't have this powerfull bond with the twins... But then again, they weren't bitten by Baron.
He's not just standing up to his horrible mother out of nowhere, that's the wolf peaking through and not liking the treatment, go wolf go 'cause that woman is a nasty piece of work and the ep 8 promo has told us enough about what her reaction is gonna be to him standing up to her.
Austin, well, if he makes it through the finale it's gonna be nothing but a miracle, because if he really killed Baron (still not sure that's enough to even kill a werewolf btw), then I'm pretty sure Ramsey will be coming for his head... Fine by me, sorry Austin #notsorryatall. And did I see Cyrus in the finale promo ? Talking with Baron ??? Need that boy back because I can't believe they just threw him in the plot to be the potential BF and arson suspect. Who calls a group of friends a 'pack', seriously ? And even if he never believed Malcolm, how can he not start to believe him after seeing an actual werewolf ? I sure would.
So many questions, one week for a few answers and they better answer them all because so far no season 2 was confirmed yet TT

Man I miss the rain, it's been years of drought in Northern California. Had to move a bit east and it's nothing but snow, I love the sound of raindrops against my window. It's probably one of the few things that truly make me feel at ease. Snow, a newer experience to me in my 31 years of life, is the most miserable thing on this planet outside of Chrismas movies and postcards. Anyways here's a little chop I did, not the first or the last, and certainly not the best because this was just a quick cookup. Still, the sample speaks for itself it is just a few bars of melancholy and soul.

Water and sediment swirl through San Francisco Bay, mixing with the Pacific Ocean on the west coast of California. The Bay, which covers roughly 1,600 square miles (4,000 square km), drains water from approximately 40% of the state — including the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers and the Sierra Nevada mountains. Surrounding the Bay are the cities of San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland.

Workers at 21 Starbucks stores across the country, including one in Seal Beach, have filed petitions with the National Labor Relations Board to unionize in the largest single-day filing in company history. The Seal Beach & St. Cloud store, located at 12430 Seal Beach Blvd., joined two other California stores in Antioch and San Jose as well as stores from 13 other states, including Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, North Dakota, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin, in the mass filing. “Across the country management is cutting hours, writing inconsistent and unreliable schedules, and placing more and more work on fewer and fewer partners,” the workers wrote in a joint letter to Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan. “We ‘partners’ demand a say. We are the face of Starbucks,” they wrote. “As employees, we deserve the same respect and dignity as the CEO.” Since December 2021, nearly 400 Starbucks locations in 42 states and the District of Columbia have unionized, according to Starbucks Workers United. The growing national movement already represents more than 9,500 baristas at nearly 400 locations.

Darrell Lucus at Loud, Liberal, Christian:
For the better part of 2024, San Jose State University’s volleyball team drew considerable attention over the presence of a woman on the roster suspected of being trans. Namely, senior Blaire Fleming. After gender-critical site Reduxx posted an article that purported to out Fleming in April, several teams inside and outside the Mountain West Conference forfeited their matches against the Spartans. It was generally believed that the forfeits came because of opposition to Fleming’s presence on the Spartans’ roster, though only two opponents—Boise State and Nevada—explicitly said so. The forfeits came to the open cheers of many on the right, led by Riley Gaines of OutKick. Gaines spearheaded a class action Title IX lawsuit against the NCAA seeking to have Fleming declared ineligible—a lawsuit joined by two of Fleming’s teammates. Those objecting to Fleming being on the team cite safety concerns about playing against a trans woman. But unless I missed something, no one has asked why anyone even attempted to out Fleming in the first place. The general consensus is that it is almost never acceptable to out someone who doesn’t want to be out—which is why I’m not linking to the Reduxx piece. Some have argued that virtually the only exception is if someone is actively harming the LGBTQ community, but even that argument can be highly fraught.
Now who would think it would be at all acceptable to attempt to out Fleming as trans? Well, a closer look into the background of one of Reduxx’s co-founders, Anna Slatz, the author of the piece purporting to out Fleming, reveals one possible answer. According to Slatz’s biography on Wikipedia, the Canadian native first gained attention in January 2018, when she was attending the University of New Brunswick Saint John in Canada under the name Anna De Luca. In 2018, while she was editor-in-chief of UNBSJ’s student newspaper, The Baron, she published an unedited op-ed from Michael Thurlow, leader of the neo-Nazi National Socialist Canadian Labour Revival Party. She also published an interview she’d conducted with Thurlow. Both pieces were chock full of racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric, along with paeans to Hitler. As disturbing as that was by itself, Thurlow and his minions had recently plastered UNB’s main campus in Fredericton with racist posters.
[...]
As near as I can determine, the only people to have made the connection between Reduxx and Slatz’s egregious lapse of judgment as a student are a few sporadic posters on Twitter. That’s a shame, especially given that Slatz’s tactics set off all kinds of ethical alarm bells.
Slatz and others seem to think that trans women playing women’s sports pose such an existential threat to women’s sports that it justifies outing them. Do we really want to go down this road? It’s a open invitation to harassment that could potentially put the athlete and those around her in harm’s way. That’s not just in the abstract. After Slatz ran her article, Fleming was the target of vicious harassment and abuse, and was even mentioned by Donald Trump on the campaign trail. And of course, we’re ignoring the 500-pound gorilla in the room. What if Slatz is wrong and Fleming isn’t trans? She would potentially have grounds for one whopper of a libel and defamation suit—and seeing that she is a private person, she could really draw blood. But then again, we’re talking about a woman who found it acceptable to give an unfettered platform to a Nazi. The bottom line? There was no defensible reason whatsoever for Slatz to try to out Fleming. At best, it’s a gross invasion of privacy that put Fleming and innocent third parties at undue risk of harm. At best, it’s libel and defamation of the worst type. But then again, we’re talking about a woman who found it acceptable to give an unfettered platform to a Nazi.
Anti-trans “gender critical” website Reduxx writeer Anna Slatz published a piece purporting to out alleged trans SJSU volleyball player Blaire Fleming, who is suspected of being “trans” by TERFs and right-wing reactionaries such as Riley Gaines. Slatz previously platformed neo-Nazis.

Abla to Huéneja
22.7km in 5 hours walking time and about 600m of elevation.
Today was a shorter day so everyone was pretty relaxed about leaving. We enjoyed a big family breakfast together and then everyone started to head out.
We’re never in that much of a hurry to get to our destination so we’re always the last to leave. That came back to bite us today as when Jose went to get his shoes, the last pair left, they weren’t his. The solo walker from Mallorca had grabbed the wrong shoes 😬 The hospitalero chased after him but I think he’d left too early for him to be able to catch him.
So after a short delay we set off with Jose wearing another man’s shoes. We missed the first turn and thankfully bumped into the French Canadian (younger than the rest of us. Likes to get to the destination early and go to the bar) coming back. Together we retraced our steps and found the turn.
This morning’s walk was lovely. We stopped in the first little town for coffee and then we were walking through cherry, almond and olive trees - beautiful.
Our next stop was of Fiñana where, in 1489, the Catholic King and Queen passed the night in its Fortress-Castle on their way to conquer the kingdom of Granada. We did some grocery shopping and stopped in a bar for a drink and a snack.
Shortly after Finana we spent some time on the Camino Real before ending up back on the Mozarabe Way. For the most part from Finana it was all gradually uphill into a head wind. Thankfully we had some stunning scenery and the Sierra Nevada is becoming ever more visible. We forget that we started at sea level in Almeria and tonight we are at 1000m.
Just before lunch we both started experiencing niggles - Jose’s bum and my leg/knee - but not the prior injury. So we had a couple of stretching stops. Needless to say we were both thankful today was a shorter day than yesterday.
We arrived at the albergue. This one doesn’t have a hospitalero so Jose rang up for the code and we let ourselves in. The rest of our fellow pilgrims from last night had already arrived.
After washing ourselves and some clothes we headed out to find a bar, as much for a drink as to scout somewhere for dinner tonight. Being a Monday night it can be a bit hit and miss.
A large g&t hit the spot and then we headed back to tell the others what we had found. Thankfully the bar started dinner at 7pm. My meal was huge, I’ll be walking it off for the next 3 days.
We were sitting chatting with the man from Mallorca after dinner when a thunder storm came through. We rushed home thinking about our washing forgetting it was actually under cover. Thankfully the storm is passing over and it should be fine tomorrow.

Well, that's unnerving all right...
Tumblr media
Raf spends nearly all of their time in the following places: Jasper, Nevada (where their family lives); San Jose, California (where their business lives), Tsukuba, Japan (where some of their research lives); various EDC installations, Sanctuary Station, Terrapin Station (yes, it's on the dark side of the moon) and Utopia Planitia (where Charlie Watson, chief engineer of the Mars project and Raf's second mom, lives). Oh, and now they live with the Aerialbots part time. None of these places are places Trepan should be in.
Wherever they are--it's less unnerving than it should be, though. Because Rafael Jorge Esquivel y Gonzales does not know who this strange mech is.
(On the other hand, the Sol System is probably one of the least damaging places Trepan could be, because humans don't do anything but die when you stick needles in their brains.)
Therefore Raf, being Raf, hails the strange mech with a friendly smile. Raf likes mecha, unless the mech in question is trying to kill them.
"Hello there," they say. "You don't look familiar--new here?"
