4. What headcanons do you have?

2003!Mikey is as gross as he needs to be to annoy a brother. Michelangelo's A+, #1, All-Time GREATEST, brother-bothering tool? He had a skin mask. Which sounds super-ghoulish, but it was just his own shed skin. He must have been about 14 years old and his whole family—reptile members specifically—had been shedding their scaley skin a few times year since forever by then. Mikey knew how to deal with it: Don't Scratch It! Even though the old scales made your whole body feel too tight. Even though the old scales were super-rough and snagged on everything. Even though the old scales looked awful and milky. You weren't allowed to scratch. It could damage the new scales growing underneath. Then you're the worlds worst piece of flaky fried chicken AND you're bleeding. Scratching could also tear the dead skin—which left a horrible full-body dandruff trail for anyone or anything that was following thoughtlessly itchy mutant turtles. And even when you got home and everyone knew just how insane you felt from the itching and the pulling and squeezing and the rustling and CRUNCHING AS YOU SAT—you still weren't allowed to scratch because showering the sofa in your sweaty potato chip skin was TOO GROSS. Like Donnie hadn't repaired the vacuum cleaner. When Mikey hit his shed that season, Halloween was only a month away. And just about every family member had been on his shell to NOT SCRATCH. Leonardo had even managed to peel off his whole lower leg skin like a freaking shin guard. OOooOO. It was cool. It was really cool. But also, was that guy sleeping in a coffin or something? How'd he keep his whole leg from snagging on his blankets?! Impossible vampire brothers and their deathly sleep habits aside, Mikey had an idea. He was going to shed his entire head in one piece. He spent most of the month of September in the tub. Soak it off. If not in the tub, under mounds of lotion like a teen girl mudmask. Moisturize it off. At night, he wound a wet length of the softest fabric he could find around his head and slept in a shower cap. Sluff it off. Broad patches separated first. He looked like he had leprosy. Donatello thought his plan was hysterical and contributed vasoline and other ointments to keep the smaller, more difficult scales moist until they finally worked loose. Leonardo and Master Splinter clearly had concerns, but after Donnie reassured them that Mikey's health wasn't in danger, they largely resigned themselves to occasional aesthetic critic. Even still. It was the spirit of the thing and if Michelangelo was attempting a challenge, both of them supported him. Even if it was weird and off-putting. You can do it, Mikey! Just… do it over there, okay? Raphael, though. Raph HATED IT. Top to bottom. Beginning to end. Just viceral rejection. "Geezuz! You look you got cornflake skin! No. Sit over there. I don't eat next to zombies. Stay away you're gonna peel inta the popcorn." When larger parts of the face started separating from Michelangelo's mouth, it was worse. "NOPE. Sensei, I would spar with YOU before I let him get near me— LOOKIT HIM! He's like a bug comin' outta its skin! His eyes don't line up with his eyes! It's GROSS!! Nope! Just SCRUB IT OFF IN THE SHOWER LIKE A NORMAL TURTLE!" That year, not only did Michelangelo manage to shed his entire head in one piece before Halloween. (Donatello helped him cut it appropriately so he could take it off.) But he totally jump scared Raphael with the Dead Skin Mikey Mask a good 11 different times before the old lair caved in that next year and he lost it forever. (To Raph's great relief.)

OLIVER + CLOUDTAIL ALBINISM SUPREMACY

Vitiligo Ravenwing (Everyone kinda gets freaked out when resident Black Cat Raven starts turning white, but Barley and his Street Cats knowledge chills them out)

Bone is HOH/Partially Deaf (Combo horrible ear infections and injuries). Has quite a bit of respect for Feather/Snow, but will never admit to that (Bloodclan Ableism)

Goldenflower is on the Aromantic Spectrum

Dustpelt LOVES flowers, giving and receiving them. idk why I think this, but this is totally canon in my heart

Copperleaf used to do 'Spa Days', complete with mudmasks, to humor the kits (Official Dawncloud soulmate realization moment)

Scourge was so confused when he first met Brick and had no idea what to call them, so just keep stuttering out different ones every time, much to Brick's appreciation (Brick has no idea, and Scourge would like to keep it that way)

Bone and Brick get along, as well as Bone and Fury, but Brick and Fury fucking HATE each other

After rescuing Cloudpaw, Oat started asking Onewhisker about Thunderclan (Hes thinks its subtle, but all the other kittypets know whats up, Onewhisker is just generally dumb)

Lynxpaw once had a crush on Cricketpaw, but was so disguted by the feeling, she began to hate Cricketheart even more because of it

When Redtail was first born and was called as a tom, everyone in Thunderclan just kinda assumed he was ftm trans because Male Calicos are basically impossible, so he had to do a reverse coming out as cisgender

Tigerclaw totally had a crush on Whitestorm when they were apprentices

Crookedstar was --THIS CLOSE-- to giving Tigerstar a life just to kill Thistlestar (Oakstar stopped him tho)

Stonefur is missing a claw from an apprentice accident (Slipped off an old tree and caught is claw falling) and it never grew back

50/50 chance Mudclaw is so grumpy towards Airleap still is because he has a crush

Brokenstar and Runningnose were actually really close as kits and young apprentices, to Lizardstripe's dismay

While in the Realms of the Dead (Starclan, Dark Forest, etc) kits cannot be killed like other fallen cats, so can cross the border to visit Dark Forest Parents (The other Starclan cats make a point of never ever telling kits this)

Have had alot less break outs on my face, and my pores are not so blocked I have noticed , a lot less blackheads on my nose. Premiere of That Christmas in London - Rhys Darby is present as one of the voice actors. Footage and interviews do not immediately get released. We'll come back to this later.

8th November 2024

DJenks joins bsky and his first post is an OFMD reference, followed by several days of sharing art and memes that are about or connected to the show.

He also retweeted a script page posted by Samba on twitter the same day:

StarFury's Republic of Pirates convention featuring Rhys, Con, Kristian, Nathan and Vico. Every one of whom was emphatic about how much they would love to go back to the show and some of them even talking about what they would love to see for their characters.

Con headed to New York for work (and mentioned he would be seeing DJenks to someone as RoP). Rhys and his family also happened to be in NYC as well at the same time. And as I recall, Taika also happened to be there.

Interviews from Last Christmas premiere drop, including Rhys making a freudian slip about the name of the film and almost calling it Our Flag Means Death. Then, when asked if he would go back to OFMD if it was done in another format (ie. a film, like Sense8 S3 and/or Good Omens S3), he lit up and enthusiastically confirmed he would. He was not the only one.

Then apparently he said more to fans after one of his stand-up shows the next night:

This sent fandom into a bit of a tizzy because on January 1st 2024, he posted this image after several days of teasing that S3 was coming (and we knew it was because they were already starting the hiring process for crew in AoNZ):

This was posted only days before HBO pulled the rug out from under them and everything was cancelled. But same tone, same vibes, only more.

Most especially this got the fandom coming and going because of the three emojis he used: the loveheart face, the purple heart and the unicorn. Especially the purple heart and unicorn emojis he only used in posts specifically about OFMD:

It's nice to be clowning again. A little boost to start the new year.
