okay, but imagine a fic where peter is HILARIOUS—like, telling the most random, funny stories before bed and the marauders just losing it. they’re laughing their asses off because not only are the stories funny, but the way peter tells them is just too much. he’s got this perfect timing, and everyone’s rolling on the floor, and peter’s just so proud of himself for making them laugh.

the marauders definitely consider him the funniest. like, they know. non-marauder students can’t even imagine peter being the funny one—they’re all just ‘peter? the funny one?’ and they’re so wrong. but the marauders? they get it. i’m just saying, peter’s the funniest one and EVERYONE needs to know it. and also, i need the fic. since i ship all the couple options of the marauders, here's how i see their different dynamics:

prongsfoot- codependent, literally always together, hate on everyone else, pda to the extreme, literal soulmates, love each other in every single way, would literally never break up, act like a married couple after dating for one hour, their pet name for each other are 'mate' and 'bro', constantly wearing each other's clothes despite having very different style, can easily communicate with just looking at each other, the It couple

wolfstar- sirius is constantly tackling remus and forcing him to talk about his feelings & stop him from running away whenever he's upset, remus is constantly staring at sirius in awe, people (including remus) are constantly questioning why sirius is with remus & sirius gets so pissed off by it, they have nerdy little discussions about various subjects & recommend articles to each other, not super into pda & but nap together a lot

prongstail- peter is obsessed with james & loves watching him show off & work out, james is very pleased to have someone who enjoys watching him show off, peter makes james protect him & fight people for him, james likes going to where peter lives and pretending he's poor (alexa, play common people by pulp), james thrives on having an audience and peter enjoys being james' audience

padtail- on and off constantly, sirius is mean to peter and peter finds it hot "stop being so mean to me or i swear to god i'm gonna fall in love with you", they play chess all the time and then proceed to fight when the other wins (very falsettos core), peter knows about muggle pop culture & sirius loves learning about that, talk shit about other people for fun all the time, they are a mess together & cause the most morally ambiguous chaos

moonchaser- extremely fluffy ship, would literally never argue somehow, actually no they'd argue about pda cause james loves it and remus is terrified of it, very much a sugar daddy x sugar baby couple idc that's literally canon, they study together (james studies for half an hour then doodles on library books to keep remus company), both very responsible so their relationship is well organised if that makes sense?

moontail- probably the most toxic <3, peter is constantly gaslighting remus & remus is just like "yeah it probably is my fault :/", however also remus is the nicest person ever to peter so peter tries to not hurt remus, they understand each other well, peter finds remus' werewolf form very hot and remus is very uncomfortable by that, peter tries teaching remus all the trends to help him fit in more

marauders dorm is crazy because james and lily are cuddling (sappy fucks) remus and peter are are talking eachother down panic attacks (they are Worried) and sirius is being drugged and fucked in his own bed by a man older than his father (he needs help)

a kinda interesting thing about remus and peter’s relationship is that remus was never *directly* harmed by peter. obviously he was devastated by the loss of his friends, but peter never tried to hurt him in particular.

is it not hard to imagine that a younger peter pettigrew may have wanted to spare his boyfriend, convinced he’ll win remus back over after the dark lord won? and that remus was feeling so murderous because he’d been grieving his supposedly dead boyfriend for years?

Remus talks, in the shrieking shack scene, about ‘James and Sirius became animals big enough to keep the wolf in check’ and yeah it’s great that they did but PETER didn’t. He got stuck being a fucking rat.

His friends can spend full moons going toe to toe with the werewolf but it’s all he can do not to get trampled under foot or become a play thing. And yet he still does it.

Everyone’s always saying how much of a coward Peter is, and for the most part that’s true. But there’s one person we know Peter was brave for and that’s Remus

Headcannon that when Peter Remus and James first turned into animagi Remus had to look after Peter the most and carry him most of the time so that when James and Sirius where playing Pete wouldn't get accidentally injured (since he was literally a baby rat). This grew Remus and Peters bond quite a bit and they would sit and gossip about stuff together when Remus and James where off playing quidditch.

peter pettigrew/james or remus: the fact that both of these have less fics than jegulus makes me viscerally upset, like not hating but they're the main group?? you didn't play around with the dynamic a lil bit?? anyway pete thought all boys felt that way about each other but, growing up more involved in muggle culture (hc but it feels right to me, half blood tho) where it was less accepting of homosexuality, learned to repress it. remus, being the first person in hogwarts that showed him kindness by allowing him into the group when the others didn't want him, that's so good to have blossom into something else, even one sided, and i think every marauder had a crush on james at one point. love it love it love it

emma vanity/lucinda talkalot: lesbian quidditch rivals need i say more. emma being very committed to keeping her position as captain and lucinda sweeping in and claiming the title after she was injured in a match. actually as im writing this my brain is being flooded with headcanons. they...
