I really didn’t know that rosewater toner was so integral to my skincare routine until i ran out, tried using ice cubes as a replacement (which failed) and then got witch hazel because i couldn’t find what i wanted, ruining the microbiome of my skin because i forgot to check that it was alcohol-free and it indiscriminately damaged my face a bit……
but now that i found it, have been using it, and remembered to use a few pimple patches for the sensitive spots, it’s healing up okay

Skincares and A Touch
Sylus Qin was a man feared by many.
A powerful criminal mafia lord boss, draped in wealth and authority, known for his ruthless efficiency and cold demeanor toward those who wronged him. He was a man who could make everything crumble with a mere flick of his fingers.
And yet—
Here he was.
Standing in the middle of a skincare aisle.
A very pink, very fragrant skincare aisle.
Dressed in his usual all-black attire—leather jacket, gloves tucked into his hand, a long black pants, a watch worth more than the store itself—he stuck out like a sore thumb among the pastel shelves of moisturizers, serums, and face masks.
The sales assistant, a young woman barely holding back a squeak, hesitantly approached him, trembling.
"Uh… sir? Can I help you find something?"
Sylus didn’t even hesitate. "My wife uses this brand," he said, pointing at a neatly arranged set of glass bottles. "Which ones are new?"
The saleswoman blinked. "Um… does your wife have a specific preference?"
Sylus didn’t miss a beat. "She likes the datura-scented overnight mask but only uses it twice a week. The rose tea essence serum is a must, but she doesn’t like the lavender one because it’s too strong. She prefers gel moisturizers over cream-based ones, and if you’re out of the honey lip balm, I need a similar alternative—preferably with natural ingredients."
A beat of silence.
The saleswoman just stared.
The other customers in the store also stared, wondering who on philos would marry such a scary looking man?
Sylus arched a brow. "Well?"
"…Sir, are you a dermatologist?"
"No," he said flatly, picking up a pack of under-eye masks. "I’m just a very devoted husband."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the time Sylus got home, the smell of lemon tarts and fresh baked scallops greeted him—his sweet wife, (Name), lazily strolling through the kitchen in one of his oversized shirts, flipping through her sizzling pan.
She glanced up as Sylus walked in, helmet in hand, a small bag of purchases in the other.
Her brows lifted. "Ah welcome home Sysy!...What’s that?"
Sylus smirked, tossing the bag onto the kitchen counter. "Your favorites." As he leaned against it admiring his wife from the distance.
She perked up, leaving the now half baked scallops on the pan, peeking inside—only to find her exact preferred brands, neatly arranged in the bag. Her very specific products, some of which were even hard to find.
She looked up at him, eyes narrowing in suspicion. "Sylus… did you just go out and buy me skincare?"
"I do it all the time," he said casually, shrugging off his jacket, hanging it before walking towards her "I like to keep my wife looking radiant."
She gawked at him, then turned back towards the now baked scallops on the pan. "I never even told you what I use."
Sylus smirked. "Sweetie, I memorized the way you sigh when something smells too strong. You think I wouldn’t memorize your skincare routine?"
He strides closer, both hands wrapped around her imidietly, as he snuggled inhaling the sweet scent of his wife and his favourite dish.
"Mhmm, i smell baked scallops...how romantic of you, kitten."
"Flattery won't get you anywhere husband, this is your favourite after all, do you think i would forget?"
Sylus lets out an amused laughed, he leans in to capture a kiss on the lips, as a reward.
She giggles in respond, enjoying the affection that is centered towards her, then she blinked. "Remembering my skin care details...that's, oddly romantic don't you think?"
"I’m an attentive husband sweetie, you wound me."
She huffed a laugh, shaking her head, her hand leaving the pan handle for a moment to hold her husband's much more larger hand, intertwining it.
"Alright, alright, My sweet Attentive Husband. Since you memorize my skincare so much, let’s put it to good use later."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that was how Sylus Qin, feared criminal mafia lord boss, ruler of an Onychinus, a man who had taken lives without blinking—
Found himself lying on their shared bed, a white facemask plastered onto his eye skin.
She giggled beside him, applying serum to his face with gentle strokes. "You have really good skin for someone who never does this," she mused. "I swear, it’s unfair."
Sylus, eyes closed, let out a pleased hum. "It’s because my wife keeps touching me all the time. I absorb your glow."
She snorted. "That’s not how skincare works, Sysy."
"It is if I say it is."
She laughed, trailing her fingers over his cheek, smoothing the mask in place. He looked so content, his usual sharp, dangerous demeanour completely replaced with lazy, pampered bliss.
(Name) grinned, leaning down to kiss his forehead. "You, my love, are the most ridiculous husband in existence."
Sylus smirked, cracking open one crimson eye. "And yet, you’re the one putting skincare on me."
"Because I love you."
His smirk softened, fingers reaching to lazily trail over her wrist. "And that, sweetie, is exactly why I let you touch me so freely."
In every world and every life, no one else could reach him—no one but his beloved, the only one who could touch him, tease him, challenge him, and claim his heart in every lifetime.
ANOTHERR MAGNUM OPUS INSPIRED CHAPTERRR i love magnum opus so sos os ososo much guys help its concerning, i'll publish the inlaws fic tmrw because i need to revise sum *sigh

beauty tips to look less like you're actively dying
now of course, if you're following my nutrition tips, you should mitigate the living corpse appearance anyways, but here's makeup, skin, hair, and nail options to keep up the appearance of a normal person
Skin: Using a silicone scrubbie, take off makeup and wash face with an oil cleanser, then wash again with a regular gel cleanser. In the morning, vitamin C serum and then a day cream containing retinol and spf. At night, just petroleum jelly. Cerave sells all of these for cheap and they're recommended by my dermatologist. Use the petroleum jelly on your lips, too. During the day, use carmex chapstick religiously. For your body, use exfoliating body wash and exfoliating gloves. Naturium glycolic acid body wash and bio-lipid lotion are my holy grails. Makeup: You want to look dewy and rested. No matte makeup, it'll settle into your dry skin and you'll look worse. Start with Covergirl trublend in plush plump (or the greenish one if you have redness) to give off the appearance of plumper skin and prime your face. Assuming you have dark circles, you want an undereye brightener. I like Catrice's, you could also layer this over l'oreal's anti-fatigue magic skin beautifier if your dark circles are really bad. No heavy foundation - go for a bb cream. L'oreal magic skin or, my personal fave, wet n wild bare focus skin tint. For blush, avoid pink or peach - you want a shade that'll look natural. Most makeup artists use a red or a berry. If you wear red or berry lipsticks, just use lipstick as your blush, that's what I do with my clinique black honey (which is a great shade for this if you have olive skin). If you're going for red, a great, cheaper option for this would be sheglam colorbloom liquid blush or simply your lipstick like I said. Another berry option that's cheaper than my clinique would be something like wet n wild in my blackberry broke. You'll want a glassy, not powdery highlighter. This can be l'oreal lumiglotion, wet n wild radiance liquid, or an actual highlighter like l'oreal lumi le glass. For powder, just powder your t zone very gently with something like elf halo glow or the catrice blurring loose powder. Do your eye makeup and eyebrows however you want, though I personally recommend learning how to do them properly for your face shape and "animal face type" and learn your color season so everything harmonizes. Set everything down with Milani make it last dewy setting spray. Hair: It needs moisture and volume. A good cheap option is Pacifica salty waves if you don't color your hair and coco peptides if you do. Do a big deep conditioning treatment once a week. marc anthony grow long, l'oreal elvive, or pantene miracle rescue are all good options. Consider oiling your hair, too. research how to do it and what oil to use for your specific hair type. Use a mousse for volume - pacifica makes one that smells like vanilla. You'll scrunch this into your hair when it's soaking wet after your shower. Spritz with a sea salt spray after - ouai is the best, but it's pricy, so feel free to use pacifica's for this as well. Make sure also to trim your dead ends and get a flattering haircut that isn't flat - it'll be easier to hide any thinning with layers, and you won't get the stringy anorexia look. Nails: Get a nail oil, a cuticle remover, and keep your nails trimmed and cleaned, then start wearing press ons (or get gel tips if you can afford it). Bliss kiss nail oil pens are a great option, blue cross cuticle remover, and kiss are cheap, solid press ons. I like the medium length square french, but I was also born in the 90s.

Why Body Lotion is a Must-Have for Your Winter Skincare Routine
When winter arrives, so do the challenges of dry, dull, and dehydrated skin. As temperatures drop, your skin needs extra attention to stay soft, smooth, and nourished. One skincare essential you shouldn’t skip this season is body lotion. ODEON offers a range of deeply moisturizing lotions that can transform your skin and keep it hydrated throughout the cold months.
Why You Need Body Lotion in Winter
As the weather turns colder, your skin can quickly become dry, flaky, and irritated. This is because winter air has lower humidity levels, which means your skin loses moisture more easily. That’s where a rich, nourishing body lotion comes in. ODEON’s Intense Moisturising Cocoa Butter Body Lotion is an excellent choice to combat winter dryness. Packed with hydrating ingredients, it restores moisture, leaving your skin feeling soft, smooth, and radiant.
Other ODEON lotions, like the Coconut Body Lotion, are also fantastic for deeply moisturizing dry skin, while the Papaya Body Lotion not only hydrates but also brightens your complexion for a healthy winter glow.
The Benefits of Using Body Lotion in Winter
1. Moisturizes & Hydrates the Skin Using body lotion all over your body is crucial in winter to maintain your skin’s moisture levels. A good body lotion penetrates the skin’s surface, reaching deeper layers to lock in hydration. ODEON’s Coconut Body Lotion, for example, is perfect for restoring moisture and giving your skin that smooth, nourished feel that can last all day.
2. Protects from Excessive Dryness Winter can cause patches of dry, rough skin that lead to irritation and even itching. By incorporating a body lotion into your daily routine, you can protect your skin from these uncomfortable issues. ODEON’s Blossom Body Lotion is an ideal solution for soothing dry patches and providing relief, leaving your skin feeling soft and silky.
3. Promotes Soft, Smooth Skin The secret to soft, smooth skin throughout the winter months lies in daily lotion use. By moisturizing and hydrating regularly, your skin will feel rejuvenated and nourished. For an extra boost, the Olive Body Lotion is an excellent choice. It deeply moisturizes while helping to reduce dark spots and promote a more even skin tone.
Make Body Lotion Part of Your Winter Routine
Never skip your body lotion, especially in the winter. It’s more than just a moisturizer—body lotion acts as a barrier against harsh weather, replenishes moisture, and soothes irritated skin. When used consistently, it can transform your basic skincare routine into a luxurious self-care ritual.
By choosing the best body lotions like those from ODEON, you’ll be giving your skin the hydration and protection it needs to thrive during the winter months. Don’t let the cold weather compromise your skin’s health—embrace the power of moisturizing lotions and enjoy soft, smooth, and hydrated skin all season long.
Shop ODEON’s Range of Nourishing Body Lotions
