A/n: new character unlocked! I love mallick so much, he's such a cutiepie😭

He's a big ball of anxiety, so he really needs his partner to keep a level head and be good at problem solving. He doesn't calm down just with comfort, he needs constant reassurance and a plan in place for when things get really bad.

Since surviving his test, he's been trying really hard to get clean. You often spend nights feeding him sour patch kids and gatorade to help him cope with the withdrawal. It's painful to see him in so much agony, but you hold him tight under several blankets as he cries and shakes through the worst of it, constantly telling him how brave he is.

He's really into gift giving, and he often buys you cosy pyjamas and fuzzy socks- he knows how much those sort of things comfort himself, and he hopes he can bring you the same amount of comfort.

His social anxiety is almost debilitating, so date nights can be difficult. He feels guilty for not being able to handle busy restaurants or dark, loud cinemas, but you assure him that it doesn't matter. Curling up on the sofa with him is more than enough for you.

He loves the countryside, and often takes you on trips there away from the city. He's a lot more confident in the peace and quiet that rural areas provide, and he enjoys long hikes with beautiful views. The two of you quite like taking a picnic with you and finding a nice spot to sit and talk.

He really loves snuggling up to you while you kiss all over his face, physical touch means a lot to him.

He used to love video games, but after the pint of blood trap, he had to re-learn how to use his hand, and holding a controller became quite difficult. So that he still gets to experience his favourite games, sometimes you'll be his hands for him, holding the controller while he directs you on what to do. He finds it very sweet that you care about such a small hobby that brings him so much joy.

His dad had forced him to come to fancy black tie events, despite how anxious they made him, all his life. He still has to go to them now, but you're with him which makes it easier. You stay close by and make the whole event light hearted, whispering jokes about his dad's snobby friends to make him laugh, and squeezing his hand when you can tell he's feeling overwhelmed.

He often tells you about how badly he wants to have children, he thinks he'd be a great dad. He's very good with kids, because they remind him of himself. He didn't have the most affectionate upbringing and he swears he'll never make his parents mistakes.

All his life he wanted to be an author, but never thought he was smart enough to pursue it. Since being with you, you've encouraged him to start writing, and he's working on a fantasy story loosely based on his own life

weird & random saw headcanon i have:

danica scott from saw 3 & mallick scott from saw 5 are siblings

my reasoning:

obviously they both have the last name scott which is where this whole hc came from but let me go into detail on the other thing

saw is known for it’s awkward dialogue & line delivery & one example of this that i’ve always loved was mallick’s “It’s Jigsaw. I knew this was gonna happen to me!” i’ve always thought this line was really funny, mallick is so overcome with guilt that he frequently worries that he’s going to be jigsawed.

mallick is the only character in the entire saw franchise who ever makes reference to expecting to be picked for a trap, so my explanation for this weird reaction is his sister being a previous victim.

if danica was mallick’s sister, he would be intimately familiar with jigsaw & everything to do with his victims. you couldn’t go through a tragedy like losing a loved one to a jigsaw trap & then be unaware of why, it adds context to his outburst if he were to experience something like that.

when he burned the building down & didn’t face justice, his guilt told him that he was going to meet the same fate danica did, instead of like.. something normal like getting arrested

Mallick Scott from the Saw V group trap reminds me of Adam??

He’s so sad and pathetic and scared but that makes him so genuine. A lot of people in group traps respond to fear with anger and distrust (which is understandable), but he was openly terrified the whole time. His openness is reminiscent of what Adam is like later on in Saw 2004, once he begins to trust Lawrence.

It kind of breaks my heart to see Mallick as a parallel to Adam because it lays out an alternate ending for him - an ending that comes partly because people were willing to save him, but mostly because he just wasn’t as unlucky.
