the revelation that claudia’s rebirth was such a twisted and horrible moment, with louis dragging her like she was a thing, a stranger who neither of them knew but he kept saying over and over “our daughter, our beautiful little daughter” to lestat, really solidified the way she was never the main character of her own story. she was always an accessory to some or the other of louis’ whims: his guilt, his loneliness, his conflict of being a killer, his rocky relationship with lestat. there was love there, love from both her fathers, but it was never enough. lestat saw her too much as a wretched mirror held up to his own self, and louis was always too steeped in his own feelings to care enough about hers. claudia’s story truly was the greatest tragedy in this tale, treated horribly by every man around her, even her fathers, relentlessly exploited and brutally ignored, always second and never first. the only one who loved her the way she deserved to be loved was madeleine, and the moment she truly had her, her happiness was torn from her. and just before she died, she got to see someone actually choose her in her entirety, not for what she can be but for who she is, and it still wasn’t enough. she still burned alive in the sunlight. the love was there, but it wasn’t enough to save her.

Shang Qinghua thinking that Mobei Jun is inclined to kill people on the least little bit of suspicion, because every time he says "that guy's totally betraying you, my king" he doesn't even need to follow it up with much evidence or reason before Mobei's nodding and permanently divorcing that guy's head from his shoulders.

Shang Qinghua subsequently being really anxious about the prospect of anyone making accusations against him. Putting it around that maybe it's a good idea for everyone at court to just build up a pretty airtight case first, before bringing anything to Mobei Jun? And even though most of Shang Qinghua's proposals get a lot of blowback and resistance from Mobei Jun's courtiers (often just on the basis of him, the slimy human, making them) this one surprisingly sails through pretty easily? All of the demons at court are basically nodding vigorously like yeah definitely we should all be extra careful about knowing 100% that treachery is afoot before we say anything to Mobei Jun certainly all of us need to watch who we point fingers at.

Shang Qinghua finding it kind of odd later on when one of Mobei Jun's most trusted vassal lords levels an accusation against a far more expendable individual in court, and rather than killing the accused, Mobei Jun just says he'll look into it and then gives Shang Qinghua the meaningful "you'll look into it" glance.

Huh. Maybe his new policies changed Mobei Jun's own opinion on due diligence? Neat! He never realized he could wield that kind of indirect power in his king's court!

are. are you telling me that if the romanced mage warden dies and alistair is king, he deadass stares greagoir down over her dead body and grants the circle of ferelden its autonomy after ordering it rebuilt somewhere safer. first you have to deliberately leave him behind so he won't die for you and then he does that for you once you're gone, even when you're broken up??? absolute and literal king behaviour of the highest order????? the actions speak louder than words of it all??????? The Kritter (king critter). to me, kritters are like if a borzoi had long hair that covered its eyes like an english sheepdog

wet and sniffling and, like the fritter, wears hats. but this one wears hats as an aggression display rather than as a shelter. WATCH OUT, IT BITES!!!

And, the Euphramsie! a close relative to the mirabun species, and very good at protecting and managing large groups of other critters :D

Kritters are about 3-4x as big as other critters. Euphramsies are about 2x as big.

Got into this quirky adaption of the 2009 monkey king cartoon Mei Hou Wang and god Sixer is by far the best character istg

I am only on episode 15, and I am still fuming of that god damn rotten fruit becoming Shi hou's main side kick and NOT my baby ruahhh
