Why did Yael cheat on MC 🤔 ?
Sorry, anon, I thought I'd answered this.
Officially and technically, they didn't. For starters, the two were absolutely never going to work in terms of status and official relationships being recognized. The Marked was never going to be allowed to marry Yael, and knew this. The whole thing is sort of a miscommunication, at the very least.
As children (so when MC was at their worst, health wise) Yael was sweet and there was a promise to marry when they were older. Yael, however, did not take a promise they made as children seriously, whereas it brought the Marked a lot of comfort. Especially as Yael was charming/personable/flirty and, perhaps intentionally perhaps not, encouraged MCs feelings. Especially because Yael wasn't serious about anybody ever, but again a soft spot for MC.
Until Yael met their wife. Then suddenly they were very serious, and the Marked saw what special really was, with Yael.
It's a bit of a grey area on how shitty Yael truly was, as well as MC. But this all went down during some of the most tumultuous and heartbreaking time the MC had, considering as all of this drama was happening and bitter petty feelings were flying around, their dad was assassinated.

I'm not well versed with The Sims 4, but after my recent video where I mentioned revisiting it after many years (like we're talking 2015/16), a few viewers asked me to put together my mods list because they want to enjoy Sims 4 too and had no idea where to start.
Last Updated: 12/17/24 - swapped out default eyes for the 'Atmospheric Eyes'. Added 'Auto Check Toddler & Infants Tweaks' by LittleMsSam.

CAS and Default Replacements
Body Hair Replacement (Luumia Edition): Replaces EA's terrible body hair textures with Luumia's textures.
Default Replacement Cutlery: Replaces the EA fork and spoon textures with nicer ones.
CAS Room - Plant Lover: Really pretty CAS background room.
Atmospheric Eyes: Default replacement eyes.
Remove EA Lashes: Removes EA's chunky eyelashes so I can overlay my pretty ones.
Cumulus Clouds: Overrides the default clouds in the sky to be a lot high texture and prettier. I use 'Alfsi_clouds_cumulus02_mesh'.
Cherry Tree Override: Replaces the default cherry tree to a better texture.
Luumia's Body Hair: Body hair that appears in the 'tattoo' category. Looks very realistic.
Luumia's Vanilla Skin Default: A nice smooth default replacement skin.
Popcorn Ceiling Default: Changes the ceiling texture to be the classic popcorn ceiling.
Stand Still in CAS: Stops the stupid animations when Sims fidget around in CAS.
More Columns in CAS (4 columns ver.): Adds more columns in the CAS catalogue.
CAS Modifiers Bugfix: Supposedly fixes the receding chin issue that appears when Sims age up in CAS.
Gameplay Mods
MC Command Center: Adds greater control to your Sims 4 game experience and NPC story progression options.
MC Woohoo: Allows various common Woohoo options to be available as settings.
Small Vegetarian Overhaul: "Vegetarian" no longer has to take up a personality slot in Create a Sim. Your sims can have all three of their precious personality traits and still be a vegetarian if they want to be.
Enlist in War: Adds a new self-interaction to Sims to allow them to enlist in a war.
More Layoffs: Increases the chance of a layoff happening to your Sim.
More Names Variety (+Expanded Random Names): If your sims visit Sulani, San Myshuno and Mt. Komorebi often, the game will generate sims to populate festivals, streets and to take part in activities. These townies do not get their names from the same list you have in CAS (randomized) but have separate lists of culturally appropriate names. These lists are short (some only 10 names long) and you may have noticed some repetition or have grown tired of seeing the same names over and over again.
Better Elders Mod: Adds new social interactions, social events, and gameplay options for elders.
Dental Care: Sims can get cavities, have bad breath, need and receive braces, toddlers can teeth and teens can have wisdom teeth extracted.
Divergent Sims: Focuses on neurodiversity, self-esteem, mental health, addiction, evaluation, and treatments. This includes a detailed variety of 25 anxiety, developmental, learning, mood, neurological, personality, body, eating, and mental health conditions affecting infants to elders as well as 4 addictions affecting young adults and older.
Eye Care: Adds basic eye care to your game. Regular eye exams, contacts, and eyeglasses can help identify and then mitigate these issues. Laser Eye Surgery is also an option for some conditions.
Career Day Overhaul: Adds many new features to the existing in-game events. (REQUIRES: High School Years and XML Injector)
Magic School: Adds a magic school like Hogwarts! (REQUIRES: XML Injector)
Extreme Violence: Like the name suggests, adds violence and many more deaths.

He’d be a more sadistic and dominant yandere. He’d have more of a tendency to punish you for ‘bad’ behaviour- and he’d have a pretty low tolerance for any disobedience at all. Lucifer being the Avatar of Pride, the first sin, he’s going to be extremely arrogant, and have a strong need to maintain his image. Expect lots of praise and doting, but also expect a dominant, sadistic and possessive yandere with a high expectation for obedience.

Mammon would likely do some things differently than a classic yandere. But he surely would use his power and influence to control and manipulate MC, rather than resorting to physical harm or violence. Additionally, Mammon's personality as a greedy and selfish person would likely affect his behavior as a yandere, causing him to prioritize his own desires and needs above MC's.

Levi would likely bring his own unique quirks to the archetype. his otaku interests and shy personality might lead him to use more subtle and manipulative tactics to keep the MC under his control. he might try to appeal to MC's otaku side, using references and inside jokes to try and connect with them. he might also become extremely protective and possessive of MC's favorite anime or manga, seeing them as a shared interest and something to bond over. You have to do homework every night and if you don't, you will be punished. Like reviewing new anime or summarizing his favorite mangas...

As Satan is not a traditional yandere, he may have his own unique traits and behaviors that differ from the classic portrayal of a yandere. He might also have a stronger desire for control and dominance, seeing MC as his personal possession and property, rather than just a romantic partner or love interest. He may also have a darker and more sadistic side, taking pleasure in causing pain or discomfort to MC as a way to assert his authority and power over them.

He would probably try to manipulate MC with his natural charm, sweetness and compliments, trying to make them submissive and compliant through positive reinforcement instead of brute force.

He'll probably be a lot more sarcastic and sassy with you, and he's also very mischievous so he'll definitely prank and tease you a lot, and most of the time he'll have a witty remark to say about nearly everything. He's also not the *stereotypical* yandere with the yandere "glares" at all. Instead he'll be a lot more smug and playful most of the time, especially when he's messing around with you. But if he gets protective of you or jealous he's definitely become possessive and more intense, *especially* when you're alone.

He would likely be more possessive than aggressive, using persuasion and manipulation rather than overt violence to control MC.

Barbatos may have some unique traits that set him apart from other yanderes. He may use words and actions that seem innocent on the surface, but could actually be meant to make you more dependent on him.

He may be less aggressive and more subtle in his manipulations. Solomon may do things differently from the typical archetype. He may be more subtle and strategic in his methods, using mind games and manipulation to subtly keep MC under his control, rather than relying on overt displays of jealousy or possessiveness. He may also have more intellectual and analytical traits, making him a more cunning and calculating yandere than what is typical.

I find it really funny that my blood moon mc was all calculating and level-headed, but my vampire mc is super brash and makes the worst possible decisions (and is also pretty cheeky while werewolf mc leaned more towards dry humor) even though stereotypically werewolves are hot-headed and vampires are calculating. How set are the mc personalities? Because it felt kind of natural to go this route based on the first couple chapters in each book. They really feel like their own separate developed characters. Are there any notable differences in how you write their personalities?
I never intended to give the MCs their own distinct personalities. I tried really hard to write them as 'blank slates' so players could project their own characters onto them.
However, I found it impossible to leave them entirely blank. I can't write a story starring a character I know literally nothing about.
And so, I gave them both a couple of non-negotiable traits. Things that allowed me to give the character presence in a scene, while leaving enough up to the reader to decide.
Blood Moon's MC is:
Competent, caring, and has killer cheekbones. They're clever enough to puzzle things out and aren't afraid to use some rougher language to get their point across (hence the fuck fuck fuckity fuck moments). Blood Moon's MC also has a dry, witty sort of intelligence which allows them to be a little sassy, if the player wants to choose those options.
Thicker Than's MC is:
A touch more pessimistic, persuasive (going to far as to be manipulative if the player chooses certain options), and pretty damn smart. They're much more likely to think strategically and to react to situations quickly. However, they're not as steady as Blood Moon's MC is, reacting more emotionally at times. They also have mummy issues.
Which, now that I think about it, pairs well with Blood Moon MC's potential daddy issues.
Thicker Than's MC also has their own fuck fuck fuckity fuck moment which I'm not taking out no matter how many times people point it out.
Anyway, all this to say, I never intended for these characters to even really be characters, but they sort of emerged as characters despite my best intentions. The player's choices still matter a lot though. Both MCs can be shy, sassy, suave, or strong-silent-types, depending on what the player chooses. They can focus more on problem solving or interpersonal connections. They can try to be leaders in their communities or stick to the sidelines.
Part of the magic of writing IF is I can see all the different ways these characters could go... and I love hearing what players thought and felt while making those chooses, filling in the blanks of those characters.

long ramble, progress update, & potential release timeframe below:
hii! i got a lot of coding done and i think im finally satisfied with how the game looks (for now…)

the friendship and romance levels shown in the relationship menu are just random as is the blurb for Aesop’s thoughts, they’re just for the example! (also characters thoughts are hidden by default, you click to reveal, then hide, them)
the stat bars were giving me hell but i finally figured them out with the the help of some forums and tumblr posts
i liked how in when twilight strikes by evertidings, the menu buttons (i.e. profile, stats, relationships) are listed at the top of the page so i took inspiration from that! and the many IFs that have a splash (?) screen at the beginning with the title
compared to when i started using twine (i think august 2023 was the first time i gave it a try), i’ve learned so much and there’s still so much to learn as well, i think coding has become my favorite part (making things looks pretty hehe)(with the help of amazing templates & ppl smarter than me, they do the heavy lifting fr)
with all the coding done (appearance wise) it’s lock in time for the revised prologue and chapter 1
the prologue has undergone a fair bit of change with the help of feedback & i’ve (hopefully) better established the setting and story.
some things that have changed besides wording and sentence structure, etc.: being able to choose what you did as a job (ex. working at the family inn) and meeting a new character (more like an old friend?)(no spoilers:))
some things i’ve been considering (SLIGHT SPOILER FOR CH.1 MAYBE): merging the revised prologue and chapter 1 into just the prologue bc chapter 1 differs a bit from the other chapters, but then the prologue would maybe be too strange timeframe wise? it’s a time skip after the events of the prologue (is that considered a spoiler, i don’t think so but???) that connects to the next chapters so maybe it’d just be better as its own chapter? or dropping the revised prologue by itself along with the updated ui/appearance then chapter 1 sometime after, or dropping the revised prologue and chapter 1 together, idk these are all just ideas i’ve been thinking about maybe i’ll do a poll
if you have anything you’d like to see, for example a specific job your MC worked, certain personality traits, or something like that, feel free to let me know & i’ll take them into consideration! i think now is the best time to add things bc it’s early development days & it’ll be easier to do so now than later
i’ve also decided to lean a little more into the supernatural aspect which i’m excited for (one specific thing really, i can’t wait to get to it🤭) the story’s world itself is fairly grounded in reality (as in the supernatural is unknown to most) but i’m looking forward to exploring it more
what you’re probably reading this for: depending on how i end up going about the prologue-chapter 1 merge decision & whether anything is added from requests/feedback, i’m aiming for a june release, july at the latest (fingers crossed). now that the appearance and function coding is complete (besides stat/choice tracking & other story related things), finishing the writing and coding it in is all that’s left
my schedule has done a 180 & some things are less than ideal at moment but it should all (hopefully) go smoothly from here! should anything change, i’ll let you all know

Thoughts on gumwrightworth?

I ADORE these three,, so mushing them all together is the PERFECT thing. I also have A Lot to say on this so hold on, this is gonna be a ride.
I firstly wanna talk about all the pairings separately. I do not feel like going over why Wrightworth is good because it has been repeated to DEATH and everyone who has internalized it knows everything I could possibly say about them already, so I shall refrain ☺️.
Gumworth is SO GOOD THOUGH,, and I’m happy to find the Gumworth people of Tumblr through me stealing someone else’s blog banner XDD. Edgeworth is such a tough boss, and Gumshoe’s admittedly a little dim at times, which isn’t an ideal trait for a detective. But somehow they just work so well together 💞 Gumshoe tries SO HARD to help Edgeworth,, and genuinely cares for him to an amount that is WILD for just being a boss-employee relationship. He has an adoration for Edgeworth, and has been there for him since his very first case.
Because of the longevity of their relationship paired with the implication that he and Edgeworth are CONSTANTLY placed on the same case,, I refuse to believe that Edgeworth DOESN’T care for Gumshoe in some way or another. Besides his adoptive family (which are not the type of people to be all lovey-dovey), Gumshoe is the only person to stick with him throughout his entire prosecutorial career. He’s seen him at his absolute worst and still has this unshakable faith in him, which MUST have some value to him considering all of the doubt that’s been cast not only on his career, but his overall moral standing as he put one innocent person after another in jail in his Bratworth era that he did everything to rectify after his year-long sabbatical post 1-5.
People tend to overlook Gumshoe’s sadness during that disappearance, like NO ONE KNEW EDGEWORTH WAS ALIVE. A lot of people (myself included) tend to focus on Phoenix’s feelings during the second game, as he is the mc and he get his thoughts on the matter WAY more than we get Gumshoe’s. But he’s clearly distraught as well, and how couldn’t he be? We saw how much he cared for Edgeworth during case 1-4,, and again he works with him constantly. He must’ve seen the way Edgeworth’s spirit dwindled from the day he was arrested for Robert Hammond’s murder to the day he left that letter, and feared the worst. He may have blamed himself for not showing Edgeworth he was there for him to the extent that he wanted to, and that kind of guilt would be EXCRUCIATING to live with for a year. There’s a bit of leeway with Phoenix in this situation, as Edgeworth shut him out time and time again because they were technically enemies in court, and he also isn’t one to want to relive his past. But Gumshoe was meant to be his sidekick, his confidant (his silly rabbit /ref). He would feel like he failed his job in absolutely every way if he thought Edgeworth couldn’t trust him enough to open up even a little when he was struggling the most.
Angst aside, their relationship runs DEEP. And as much as I love Wrightworth,, I love exploring every avenue in terms of shipping and it BOTHERS me that more people don’t see their potential. Like I think them and Wrightworth are tied in my mind for best ship in Ace Attorney.
As for Gumwright,, PEOPLE DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR POTENTIAL ENOUGH AND THAT BOTHERS ME. One pet peeve I have whenever I see Gummywrightworth is it feels more like traditional polygamy than more all-way polyamory. It feels like Edgeworth’s the glue binding them together, and that Gumshoe and Wright don’t feel any type of way about one another,, and that is SUCH A CRIME. It is SO NICE to think about the juxtaposition between the Gumworth work relationship and the Gumwright one, and in turn how different they would both be in a romantic setting. Whereas Edgeworth doesn’t particularly need Gumshoe’s help most of the time and loves to do everything and make all the deductions himself, Wright often NEEDS Gumshoe’s help to progress because he has access to things Wright often doesn’t. Whether it’s evidence, reports, prosecution’s strategy, or real-time forensic analysis,, Gumshoe has COME THROUGH for Wright time and time again. His help is absolutely invaluable to Wright’s investigations, and without him as a resource quite a few of Wright’s clients likely would’ve been declared guilty. But that’s not to say Wright is useless. It’s just that Gumshoe oftentimes has that one missing piece that Wright needs.
The way Edgeworth and Wright both interact with Gumshoe is also very different. Edgeworth’s a little more dismissive of Gumshoe (particularly in AAI 1+2), and he often scolds Gumshoe for his missteps. But while Wright at the beginning is often pushy in order to get Gumshoe to help in the first place (as he’s instructed not to help the defense), but when he actually begins helping, Wright is quite kind to Gumshoe. Although he recognizes that Gummy’s a little dumb at times, he still values his insight, as Wright can also be a little dumb about things that should be obvious to someone with a law degree. It’s like they’re two halves of a braincell coming together to bounce around for a bit during the PW Trilogy’s investigation segments. I just. THEY’RE SO NICE TO EACH OTHER 💞 of course they’re aggressive to one another at first, but as they take on the same cases they grow friendlier and closer. And when they��re in a trial,, Gumshoe treats his testimony like a game. he always needs to announce that Wright’s “not gonna get him this time!” I just find them really cute,,, and I’m disappointed in this fandom for not considering them as a pairing more often. Like if you guys are not gonna write enough Gumwright fics, I will DO IT MYSELF.
Now the differences and similarities between these two pairings come together to form Gummywrightworth, and it is beautiful. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. The three of them have faced the bulk of their hardships in the first trilogy together, and because of this, they would all grow so close to one another. None of them seem to have many other people to cling to who would understand their troubles,, but they all understand each other because they were THERE. They were all there for one another during the good and the bad times throughout the trilogy, and they all celebrated together when it was finally over. Not to mention I think that Gumshoe and Wright’s puppy energies could help mellow Edgeworth out a bit. It’s a well-balanced relationship with lots of history to back it up,, and the three of them all work so well together, and it’s impossible to tell me they all don’t deeply care for each other. They are so amazing.

Thank you for all your work on this! It's quickly become one of my comfort IFs and I'm very excited to see what the rewrite brings! I also absolutely LOVE the idea of the new mechanic, especially hearing that there may be a possibility of prolonged pining. It's all just *chef's kiss* mmm, mmm, mmm so good! I did have some questions about your plans for the new mechanic. Will each RO have their own threshold for when the romantic choices come up or will it be pretty even across the board? Will MCs with certain personality traits have an easier time getting the platonic levels to rise and get to the romantic choices than others?
For anyone who doesn't know about this yet, there is a certain threshold to trigger the romance choices with each RO. Once you have a certain amount of platonic points with them, those will become available. I have not yet set an amount, but it will be pretty even amongst them (though the romance itself has different paces).
It is also true that you can simply raise their platonic stats without ever romancing them. (You can basically play as aro, aroace)
MC's personality doesn't impact on their ability or ease in getting closer to the ROs, because the choices to raise platonic/romantic points are the same for everyone, just posed in different ways depending on your Hound's traits.

Hello! So, I want to write a story in a mild fantasy setting(mild bc there are other sentient races but magic is not that common) and I want to write my main character as a person with intellectual disability. But I wonder if, by having ID, they wouldn't be able to be a good fighter (this is a core trait). I also don't know if stress and trauma can lead someone with ID to end up losing their abilities to function (the MC has PTSD). How can I make this work?
Hey!
A person with ID could be a good fighter - with some caveats.
Most important here would be: what is the severity of their disability? That's how ID is categorized; mild, moderate, severe, and profound. If theirs is severe and especially profound, I would probably lean towards "no". But for mild and moderate it should be fine.
Other thing: what is the cause of their intellectual disability? ID can exist on its own, but it often has some kind of syndrome attached to it. The less different issues they have, the easier it would be for them to fight. If you look at intellectually disabled professional athletes, almost all of them will be in the "mild ID with no other disabilities" bucket, though there will be some with Down Syndrome (majority of people with DS have hypotonia, but it's such a common disability that there are actual bodybuilders with DS). For someone with e.g. Rett Syndrome, fighting would probably be off the table due to all the other symptoms.
Last thing would be the type of fighting. Most would work fine, but some kinds of combat wouldn't be the best choice - for example, making them a sniper wouldn't make much sense; there's too much math and very quick decision-making involved with it, I think.
Stress and trauma would work the same for someone with ID as for someone without it when it comes to PTSD. So if it's severe, it could cause significant problems like completely losing the ability to function. The only major difference is that an intellectually disabled person would probably get stressed much more easily when it comes to triggers, maybe also worse emotional control and such. But it depends on the person a lot.
You mentioned that magic isn't too common in their world, but if they happen to use it, I think it would be great to show them struggling to learn magic, or being behind on what someone their age should be able to do, etc.

Dalmar Calix Thom Fausteus, The Shattered he/him, cis, human - once an esteemed gentleman, only child to a family of scholars, he grew up with many opportunities. However, his family was used and he himself betrayed by a friend, changed in more than one way. He's a focused individual, with workaholic tendencies and withdrawn. He's not looking for a friend, but a means to an end.
Vasil, The Forgotten they/them/it, entity- you know them. You knew them, at least. Not in any deep way. Not in any way that means anything. Except, you made a deal. And now, there are consequences.

Reimer 'Rei' Ara, The Steadfast he/him, cis, elotian - larger than life, considered sunshine in physical form, he meanders through the forests as a helpful, genial caretaker. A man of actions, he hides his worries behind smiles and continues to do what he can to support the forest and Leja. He is very excited to meet you, if not at least marginally confused over your problems, and eager to ease your burdens.

☆ December progress ☆
As of today, I have written 6.1K words for both the Prologue and Chapter 1, unedited and uncoded. I'm almost done writing the scenes where MC first meets and gets to know Ethos, Oliver, and V. I should be about 50% done with writing Chapter 1.
Outside of story writing, I've been making changes to the personality and behavior statistics I plan on implementing for the MC. The statistics are now more aligned with traits someone may develop as a result of childhood trauma and abuse. I've also edited the story outline, moving certain scenes that was supposed to be in Chapter 1, into their own chapter. This was because I believed Chapter 1 would be too long if I inputted what was planned instead of splitting it. Now, Chapter 1 and 2 will be set when MC is 5 years old - the start of everything going downhill - and Chapter 3 will time skip to their current ages where MC is 20 years old. I am also contemplating make a small change to m!Y's name so that instead of Yaran, it would be something like Yale. Not sure yet though.
For the remaining half of December, I will continue to work on writing Chapter 1 and also placing the final touches to the UI on twine (i.e. saves, accessibility functions etc.) so that I can work on coding more freely in January.
☆ Goals for the New Year ☆
Coding of the prologue and Chapter 1 will (hopefully) start in January and last until the end of February. I do have classes then so the amount of work I put into coding each day will be limited.
The goal is to have the demo out and running by the end of March, but my personal target would be beginning or mid-March. I have no set date yet.
I'm also deciding whether to ask for beta-readers. I've never been confident in my writing and it would be helpful to have some people identify errors that I missed.
☆ Chapter 1 Teasers ☆
Chapter 1 (and 2) will officially introduce you to 4 out of 6 romantic interests, though that is not the main focus. These two chapters will mainly be focused developing skills, formulating opinions, detailing appearances, and the downfall of your relationship with your family.
Chapter 1 specifically, will be quite a rollercoaster. It starts happy and pure, but the ending turns dark and heartbreaking. You might be in for a ride!

In the meantime, I will be answering any asks about the story and/or the characters. Some asks will take longer for me to respond to but I'll be sure to answer all of them, even if it's to say “I can't give you an answer that won’t spoil the story”. I'll also try to start posting character profiles for the characters. Probably starting with Nolan. Let me know what information you want to see about the characters!

Hello!
I wanted to ask—
In Gilded Shadows, (I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that) the story is about "moving forward." So it makes sense that the MC is super adaptable. It's her biggest strength, both as a queen rank and as a person—at least, that's my interpretation.
Provided I'm not completely off base with that idea, would you say the MC of When Stars Collide has a trait or value that defines them in a similar way?
In some ways, WSC is exploring something similar.
Sometimes when I'm working on two projects at kind of the same time they share some of the themes. Because I was working with certain themes in my main project, I'd think of alternate ways to explore them in my side project. So you see these sort of similarities in WSC and GS.
Wil is also super adaptable but it's a more negative trait for them in some ways. They tend to follow the tide and go where fate takes them, which can be good but also has the effect of making it hard for them to connect with people and establish close bonds. They do that to some degree - a higher degree than they often believe - but certainly not to the level of others. So part of their journey in certain story paths is learning when it's necessary and okay to fight the tide. Essentially learning when to say "I'm *not* going to adapt to this. I'm going to fight against it."
One of Wil's other things is really just self exploration. They have a lot of conflicting feelings about their heritage, which is understandable when half your heritage is a space wizard, right? But in some ways it prevents themselves from knowing certain aspects of who they are, or just acknowledging it. So this isn't a story so much about accepting who you are but more just exploring it and learning. For instance, what habits (good) may be connected to parts of yourself you struggle to accept. Or even what habits (bad) are related to cultural experiences and may need to be set aside so you can move past them. Wil deals with both of these things.
An obviously I think this is something that a lot of people deal with - self included. Some things are easy to identify while other things we may not consciously recognise for a long time and then one day we realise "Oh...that....that thing I do is because of that incident/experience/cultural thing/childhood trauma etc." And then we explore that and learn a bit about ourselves. Sometimes that experience isn't about acceptance as much as it just about...learning.
We can live a lot of years and wake up one day and realise we don't know ourselves as well as we thought we did.
Anyway, that's a long ramble but that's how I see it. Wil's story is about self-exploration and learning that sometimes it's okay to fight against the tide.

I know things have been changing with the revamp, so i wanted to ask some general worldbuilding questions to orient myself in your dragon universe 😄
So what is this kingdom? Where are we? Is this a large country? What's the geography situation for the dragon people
Are there other countries with non-dragon people and other species?? Or are all the sapient species worldwide dragon-ish just like us 🤔
there's a king and a regent, so I'm assuming a Noble class is a thing. But how important is the concept of bloodline, shifters, and nobility here? What is the percentage of nobility in the population?
Any class conflicts in society? Is us romancing Zaphia scandalous?? What other social classes are there and how do they live and interact with each other?
And (if its not too spoilery) what's the political climate like? King's sick 👀 that always makes a country feel a bit unsteady - are people getting particularly nervous about anything?
Ohh worldbuilding❤ lore dump time!
Very very honestly, it is a kingdom which is vaguely inspired by the United Kingdom, but not really. It has no geographical ties save for being a huge island separated from the mainland.
It has vast spaces for dragons to roam free, some big cities, like the one where the game is set (the capital) but outside those, there is the countryside, where dragons exist amongst humans as either pets, working animals, or companions, and then there are the mountains, caves and some other places that are inaccessible to humans where dragons can go nest and live a wilder life.
As far as the game is concerned, any other country does not exist, and so I'm going to focus on the country where the story is set (meaning, I haven't bothered to spend energy on worldbuilding that I won't use).
The country/world is basically inhabited by
Humans, who have some draconic traits (scales, sometimes eyes that resemble dragons) and most of them can shift into dragons at will
Humans that are called "true shifters" (MC) who can shift fully into a powerful dragon form, but that in their human form have many draconic traits (scales, horns, forked tongue, tail, claws...)
Domesticated dragons, who live alongside humans, can be very tiny or medium sized. Usually are considered pets
Wild, or at least non domisticated dragons, who are often a bit bigger than the domesticated ones. They tend to live in big, communal nests. (Think of dogs vs wolves)
(Note: dragons have the intelligence of smart dogs. But they have still animal behaviours and level of intellect)
POLITICAL SITUATION
In this world, there are commoners, middle class, and then the noble families. Above all, there is the Monarch, who rules with the council of the head of each noble family.
Currently, the situation is atypical as the King has fallen ill years ago and the Regent, his husband and also a true shifter, has taken his duties. He is quite reserved, and so leaves the noble families to their parties, and involves himself only with politics.
The noble families usually have a residence in the countryside, where they stay for half the year, and then they all move to the major city close to them for the Season (where the political meetings take place). Seasons are also an opportunity for single people seeking a spouse to find a good suitable bachelor (gn).
Marriages need to take into account the social standing of the other person so yes, MC and Zaphia would be quite scandalous. More than even Sekh' and MC. Instead, MC would be considered an unworthy party for Cherena.

I'm curious about the cast. Can you tell us more about them?
I’m so sorry this answer comes so late. One of the reasons for that is that, while I’ve had a good idea of the main cast and their personalities etc. from the get-go, things do change and shape as I write and I didn’t want to give out a bunch of information that I’d later change haha.
But at this point I feel like I’ve done enough work on them individually to be able to give a proper answer!
I’ll be including the characters that are set as “main cast” in the intro post (Cirern, Muir, Wren, Astra, Azora and Kirin) plus 3 additional characters that might end up being part of the main cast. Or not, I’m not sure yet. All I know is that they will appear, be important to some part of the story and that at least one of them will have a romance route option.
I’ll also include which characters are romanceable 😊
Cirern
Cirern might seem distant, coming and going on his own terms and keeping his interactions with the MC as short as he can. But like anyone, he has certain fondness for things and might end up saying more than he planned to when faced with particular questions or observations.
During his years at court, Cirern was known for being brilliant and polite, with an arrogance that would shine through only among his closest. He was seen either as a leader nor a follower, and luckily lacked the ambition that might otherwise make him an open enemy to Aíos’ crown. But little did those people know that his ambition was merely well hidden.
Those who knew him would describe him as lively with sudden bouts of melancholy, of thriving among people until he’d wordlessly withdraw without explanation. When the MC meets him, little seems to remain of the man he once was described as. But spending 19 years in someone’s presence is bound to draw out sides you might not expect to ever see.
Muir (RO)
When the MC first meets Muir, he is a dreamy child with curious eyes that seem to hold the universe itself. But as Muir settles into his skin those qualities begin to dim, and his strange sense of wonder turns into awkwardness and uncertainty, and eventually hardens him into a stoic and quiet adult.
Muir is simultaneously hardened to the outside world and very new to it. He doesn’t relish the prospect of talking to strangers or getting involved in business that doesn’t have to do with his and the MC’s goal. Your relationship with him is shaped and explored in chapter 1 and continues from chapter 2; it can be close or distant, but there is something inherent in his existence that ties him to you regardless of how either of you view each other.
Wren (RO)
Wren is a student at the Institute of Arcane Arts and is recognized by many of its teachers as one of its most promising minds. They come from a line of respected spellweavers who have become one of the most reputable houses in Aíos even with their shrouded and mysterious history.
Wren themself, while armed with a sharp mind that’s been honed by years of diligent study, lacks the experience of life outside of high, safe walls – both the walls of their family home and those belonging to the Institute. They would rather spend more time thinking than doing and is not always tolerant of people who can’t see things from their point of view. Sometimes they try to be suave but immediately end up cringing at their own comments.
Azora (RO)
A young woman with a fascination for the arcane – moreso because of what it could do for her and her cause than any interest in the arcane itself.
Azora embodies many traits that humans are looked down on for by the elves – impatience and impulsivity, for one. But she is likewise willing to learn and holds strong beliefs that fuel her decisions. Most would call her charming albeit stubborn with a self-sacrificial streak when it comes to the things she believes in (for better or for worse).
She struggles with reconciling what she has been taught with what she comes to learn, what that means for her perceived purpose. Her own mind has made her its enemy, and she often relies on others to a potentially harmful extent when doubt creeps in.
Kirin (RO)
Kirin is quiet as a shadow and moves much like one, too, walking in and out of your life as he pleases. He is devoted to his beliefs and for all intents and purposes, he seems devoted to serve you, as well.
He is practical but also idealistic when it comes to his faith and what he does for that faith. But the nature of his order is vague and difficult to grasp for someone not directly linked to them.
Kirin’s personality is hard to pin down since he seems to hide much of it beneath his purpose, just like how he hides his face behind his mask. He is calm, though; sometimes eerily so, and often finds amusement in situations where people might find such amusement distasteful. (Although there’s much more I could share, I can’t do it without spoilers, sorry!)
Astra (RO)
As a vampire, Astra can be described as having little regard for mortal lives, and it’s not beyond her to manipulate and scheme to nudge things in the direction she wants them to go. Sometimes that means feasting on the blood of the unsuspecting, and sometimes that is extended to a grander vision and goal.
Although she can be cruel, she is also fiercely loyal to those she’s close with and trusts. Beneath her exterior, something darker and more unpredictable simmers, though she rarely allows that side of her to show.
Rhalyf (RO)
Rhalyf is an Ekkeran hunter from the far north. His job is to track down unsanctioned spellweavers and to protect people from forces of magic that would do them harm.
Most view ekkerans as a bitter, cold people, but Rhalyf is quite the opposite. The hardship he has endured has only strengthened his belief in trying to create a kinder world. And to him, that means exterminating cursed magic, including yours.
Eéithn
Pixies like Eéithn is a rare sight in Aíos’ so called civilized parts. A person who encounters a pixie might count themselves lucky to experience something most could only imagine, but such triumph would be short-lived if they’re not careful when dealing with pixies and their love for trickery.
Whether Eéithn is different from his/her/their fellow pixies or embodies all the same qualities that the stories warn about is something the MC will have to determine for themselves. He/she/they can seem as sweet as he/she/they can seem cruel and might cooperate one moment only to switch allegiances the next.
One thing is for certain, though; like most living creatures, he/she/they is desperate to survive.
