polaroid love - bonus chapter. the shade

spade speaks: ANOTHER LATE POST BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNI! MY WIFE FR, I DON'T MAKE THE RULES.

while y/n waits for her flight from korea to japan to leave, scrolling on her phone, she stumbled upon a video about her and hanni. it wasn’t like the public didn’t know they’re close, after the mama performance everyone sort of assumed that the groups that participated became close.

10 minutes of nmixx y/n and newjeans hanni acting like a married couple

clip 1: mama behind the scenes

in the somewhat back of the dance practice, a very blurry clip of y/n and hanni can be seen talking to each other. hanni is holding something somewhat clutching it in fear of possibly losing it while y/n is taking pics of her. with the pictures of hanni holding onto her koala plushie and y/n with her miffy plush can be seen being next to each other.

the scene was then changed to the pair still in the mama practice room talking, some may consider a bit too close for comfort as y/n hands her an onigiri.

clip 2: hanni’s vlog in LA

it starts off with hanni holding the camera close to her face, she’s inside a car, a bit unfamiliar as it is not the usual car bunnies see on their contents.

“you think if i played some songs the company would be mad?” hanni looked at the owner of the voice with a teasing smile, as if she knows what they’ll do even if she tells them off.

“don’t even try.” a somewhat familiar chuckle is heard but it could be easily mistaken for someone else.

ok, it might be a stretch that this is y/n.

“what if i played the songs i’ve written and produced?” hanni looked like she was thinking it through and she nodded.

as the familiar beat of love countdown starts to play, hanni is heard screaming and stopping the radio. which quickly revealed y/n laughing while driving.

“maybe not that.”

“alright, how about this?”

polaroid love lowly plays in the background.

confirmed that it was indeed y/n driving!!!

clip 3: hanni’s vlog in LA, GUCCI campaign

hanni starts off the vlog with her in the outfit chosen for her, showing her entire fit on camera, with little to no idea that someone had entered the frame. wearing a blue checkered coat with a bit of leather padding and pocket covers, with her hair a bit slicked back and a few strands of bangs popping out.

hanni shouted upon seeing y/n, who only laughed at her [girlfriend].

“you look stunning.” y/n was in awe, seeing hanni despite having somewhat similar fits for the campaign, she is just left standing there admiring the girl.

“thank you, you look amazing as well.” hanni opened her arms as y/n hugged her looking at the camera with a teasing smile.

i’m surprised the company kept the clip

it was then cut to hanni and y/n in different outfits, a part of the campaign just to get the ambassadors close. some of which are being directed that they get a bit touchy as the pair are known to be somewhat best friends already. y/n being the playful person that she is, as the wave goodbye to the end of the content being filmed, she kissed hanni’s hand that was holding onto hers.

THAT’S SUSPICIOUS!

clip 4: y/n gucci campaign behind the scenes

“hello nswers, i’m currently at LA, just finished doing the campaign and i’m about to head out to get dinner with someone.”

y/n is showing her fit in front of the full body mirror in her hotel room, strutting like a model until she almost tripped.

“probably should have looked where i was going. ANYWAYS! nswers, i’m trying to match my fit with my uh-” y/n paused placing the camera down and sitting in front of it, thinking of the right term for it.

“ah yes, my date. you’ve probably seen some clips but i’m with newjeans’ hanni.”

with like… together in a relationship or together like just within the same vicinity?

“we’ll go sightseeing, just hang out and take a few pics here and there. our managers are with us so we’ll be safe, no need to worry nswers.”

the clip showed the pair from a fan’s point of view where the two are holding their cameras with managers a bit behind and holding each other’s hand. followed by another clip of the pair without cameras and just the two of them still holding hands and laughing.

maybe they’re just really… really… really close friends.

hanni had seen an octopus hat with y/n and joked about buying it just to have matching hats. the faint “why not?” turned out that one has to win in the fair in order to win the hats which they both said no as to not waste any money.

i swear these two are the most practical and chaotic pair.

clip 5: nmixx midsummer dream behind

y/n is seen beside hanni as she teaches the choreography to super shy, while lily and danielle are conversing on one side with kyujin and haerin. although the camera focuses on haewon talking about the challenge being done by the two aussies and the 06 liners, one could see the two messing with each other.

“for someone who produced the song, you sure can’t keep up with the fast choreo.” y/n could only give hanni the side eye as the group settled and prepared for the challenge.

“with the amount of things i have to do, han, this is the least of my worries.”

“stop bantering like a married couple, we get it.”

just kyujin’s comment alone says a lot about the pair’s dynamic.

the behind the scenes showed y/n wrapping her arm around hanni’s waist as they watched kyujin and haerin do the challenge with cat paw gloves. looking like a married couple and adoring their children who are having fun and playing around.

clip 6: last one, gucci milan fashion week

blonde hanni has made her appearance during milan fashion week, with that many cameras, it was no surprise that many would capture y/n’s reaction to it. as hanni made her entrance before y/n, walking inside the venue being followed by the nmixx member who didn’t recognize the girl right away.

“y/n! have you seen hanni?” the idol smiled as she gave the signed cd back to its rightful owner and shook her head as a response.

“sadly, i haven’t seen her.”

“Y/N!”

the nmixx member turned around to see hanni walking towards her along with her bodyguards behind. y/n seemed frozen in the clip, touching hanni’s hair and jaw dropped being aware that it’s the real deal. putting hanni’s hair behind her ear as y/n admired the girl, forgetting they’re in a public area and people are taking videos of the interaction.

“wow…”

“you like what you see?” y/n nodded as hanni hugged her and the fans were losing it. the two continued on with their interaction with fans, even taking pics.

if these two aren’t dating, i’ve lost all faith in the world.

bonus clip: y/n’s birthday live

y/nbunny: unnie, did any of your friends greet you?

y/n is seen looking at her manager if she can talk about it. her smile got brighter as if she got approval to talk about idols that weren’t under the same company.

“yeah, quite a lot greeted me but you know that feeling when you’re waiting for a specific person to greet you?”

the chat flooded with agreement, some were talking about their experience and y/n could only laugh at the comments.

“i’m waiti-” y/n looked down on her phone where she read comments and fell quiet. looking at her manager for confirmation, sliding her phone towards them.

the abrupt singing of happy birthday from the staff startled y/n but what surprised her more was the person holding the cake and placing it on the table. her mouth moving with now a brighter smile on her face.

anyone who can’t lipread, y/n just said what are you doing here. han?

“i- uh- wow. there’s a note.” y/n showed the camera the two notes, one from newjeans and the other from nmixx. her smile brighter than before and looking at the staff.

there’s no confirmation whether it actually is hanni, but just the cake and a brighter smile after that. they’re my parents, i want them to stay that way.

the video ended just at the right time as the plane was about to leave. y/n put her headphones on as watched the scenery change from her seat, patiently waiting to see and greet hanni for her birthday, just to surprise the girl.

Deeper in the Dark: Chapter 25 Gojo Satoru/Original Female Character Ongoing story This chapter: fluff + family fluff with the Fushiguros + Megumi being a mama's boy + references to past angst Full story on AO3

Oop, I'm posting another chapter of the main fic here too! It's some family fluff with the Fushiguros, set a few months before JJK canon starts.

“...Why is he here?” Megumi asked, fixing Satoru with a harsh scowl.

Yura sighed.

It was the day of Megumi’s graduation ceremony, and even though she’d had a talk with him about Satoru attending beforehand, Megumi had said that he would not be making it easy for the white-haired man.

‘It just... It wouldn’t feel right to not have him there, you know?’ Yura had told the boy. And even though Megumi was still angry at Satoru, he’d begrudgingly agreed.

To be honest, it felt strange knowing that Megumi and Satoru’s relationship had taken a hit because of her, that Megumi was angry at the white-haired man on her behalf. In a way, Megumi’s loyalty made her feel strangely warm, while at the same time, Yura didn’t want Megumi to damage his relationship with his literal guardian because she and Satoru were going through a rough patch.

“Megumi...” Tsumiki tried, giving the boy her best big sister stare. “It would be weird if he didn’t come.”

“Yeah, kid,” Satoru offered him a grin. “I gotta make sure you’re actually going to graduate after all those stunts you pulled in the past few years.”

Megumi only scowled harder.

“Come on,” Yura interrupted with an amused huff. “The ceremony is about to start.”

Yura had never actually attended a Japanese graduation ceremony until Tsumiki’s last year, since their graduation from Jujutsu Tech hadn’t exactly been very traditional. The formality of it all sure had taken her by surprise, although if she thought about it, Yura didn’t really have anything to compare it to since she hadn’t actually graduated from middle school in America before running away to Japan. But hey, this year she was better prepared, and the formal atmosphere of the event hadn’t caught her off guard this time around.

What did catch her by surprise was the fact that she was hit once again by the same mix of emotions she had felt last year, a certain bittersweetness at seeing the two kids she had been taking care of since they were children so grown up, while also feeling genuinely proud of how far they’d come since then. All those years ago, when Satoru had first brought the Fushiguros into their lives, Yura had no idea that they would all be together still, ten years later—but here they were. There he was, Megumi in his formal uniform, graduating middle school, and Tsumiki next to her, happy and uncursed—

Yura’s clapping slowed down as a thought suddenly occurred to her, the ceremony still going on in front of them.

She... she helped them, right?

Throughout her entire childhood, all Yura wanted was to have someone there to take care of her—someone she could count on, someone who actually wanted her around. She never got to have that, which was probably why she wanted to make sure that the Fushiguros did. So, after ten years of knowing them, of taking care of them—had Yura succeeded at what she’d set out to do? Had she made a difference in these two kids’ lives? Two kids who got dealt a shitty hand in life, but hopefully got to have a semi-normal happy childhood after she and Satoru did their best to give that to them...

Yura sniffed—now, what had gotten into her?

“They grow up so fast,” Satoru half whispered as they watched Megumi receive his diploma. Satoru sounded like he was somewhat joking and somewhat serious, and Yura couldn’t help but agree with the sentiment.

“Shh,” she lightly slapped his arm, sniffing again. “Just keep quiet and keep filming.”

There was a small smile on her face, especially as Satoru’s widened into a grin as he focused back on the phone in his hands. Megumi caught sight of them as he walked back to his seat, diploma in hand, and he shot the white-haired man a scowl—and Yura couldn’t help but feel a little guilty.

Maybe she had been selfish asking Megumi to tolerate Satoru’s presence when the boy was still clearly mad at the older man. She knew it wasn’t just because she wanted to see the two of them back on good terms, although that would be preferred—but rather because it felt wrong for Satoru to not be there with them. Even if being around him still shot a stinging pain into her heart sometimes, his absence felt even worse, especially at an event like this.

Because if it weren’t for Satoru, they wouldn’t be there today, would they? Satoru had been the one to bring them together, after all. And not only that, he had also been the one with the power to see that the Fushiguros would be taken care of, and kept away from the Zen’in. Even if Yura had found them herself, she wouldn’t have had the money nor the influence to make sure those two kids lived a good life—the good life that Satoru had easily given them. So in many ways, she couldn’t help this feeling that Satoru was the thing that held the four of them together.

...So yeah, maybe she had been a little selfish for wanting Satoru to be with them today. The four of them had already spent more time apart in the past few months than Yura had ever wanted to, and she was tired of the nagging fear that this would fall apart in her hands without Satoru keeping them together like he always did.

But they were there now, and that’s all that mattered—the four of them, like it was meant to be.

And Yura wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Megumiii,” Yura drawled out, pulling him into her arms in a tight hug. “You’re so grown now—!”

Megumi only let out a groan as his body hung limp in her hold, because he was pretty sure Yura was making a scene just to tease him. “...It’s just middle school...”

Yura cooed at him, and he let out a heavy sigh.

Then he saw a certain white-haired moron step forward, piping in with an “I want one too!”, and Megumi had to cut it at the root.

“Don’t even think about it,” he snapped. He wouldn’t even be open to it on a normal day, let alone after... everything.

Megumi did feel a little bad when that seemed to have made Yura tense up ever so slightly, loosening her grip on him and then stepping back. So he resorted to glaring at the white-haired idiot harder.

“So...” Tsumiki eventually spoke up, trying to avoid the awkward atmosphere that was slowly forming. “Is it time for us to go eat?”

The white-haired dumbass took a look at his watch, nodding in agreement. “Our reservation is coming up,” he said, and Tsumiki also nodded. “Guess we should get going!”

“Ah,” Tsumiki interrupted. “But I do need to use the restroom first...” She turned to Yura. “Yura-san, do you mind coming with me?”

Yura seemed a little confused, but she eventually agreed, and Megumi couldn’t help but narrow his eyes at his sister.

“We’ll meet you at the car!” Tsumiki called out as she and Yura walked off.

...That felt very purposeful.

Megumi let out a sigh as he watched Yura and Tsumiki disappear out of sight, being left alone with the white-haired cretin.

“...Where’s the car?” he eventually deigned himself to ask.

The older man perked up, motioning in a particular direction. “At the parking lot,” he replied. “I think we—”

Megumi didn’t give him a chance to complete that sentence, immediately turning around and walking away himself.

“Megumi,” he heard the older man call out as he walked off, and the white-haired buffoon started following after him. “Megumiii—! You can’t keep ignoring me forever, you know...!”

“Try me,” was Megumi’s only response.

Megumi kept walking.

The parking lot wasn’t far from where they had been, so it didn’t take long for him to arrive, quickly finding Gojo’s car standing out like a sore thumb among all the others. And all the while, the white-haired loser kept following him, calling out his name and trying to get his attention.

“Megumiii,” that annoying voice said. “You’ll have to talk to me eventually, considering you’ll be my student in less than a month’s time. In fact, you’ll be my only student...”

Megumi let out a huff. Apparently, there weren’t any other students enrolled as first years so far—would he really have to put up with the white-haired clown all by himself?

“I’ll skip your classes and have Yura-san teach me instead,” Megumi replied. He begrudgingly stopped at the car as there was nowhere else he could keep walking to, but he kept his back turned to the white-haired jackass regardless.

“Megumi,” Gojo called, letting out a defeated sigh. “Can’t you just look at me?”

Megumi’s jaw clenched. That was rich for Gojo to ask, considering how he had treated Yura—how he had ignored her, hurt her—

‘So you’re just gonna act like nothing happened, is that it?’ Megumi asked, his face set into a scowl.

Yura sighed, her shoulders sagging. ‘You know that’s not it...’

Megumi’s eyes fell down to the mug in his hands, his hands trying really hard not to clench down too hard on it.

It had been... a confusing few weeks, needless to say. Gojo’s sudden change of heart had been baffling, the way he had suddenly flipped the switch again and stopped ignoring Yura like he had been doing. Megumi had no idea what was going on inside the older man’s head for him to do something like this—but what Megumi did know was how it had affected Yura, even though she tried really hard not to show it. But how could he not notice it? Seeing Yura and Gojo not speaking to each other, seeing Yura start tensing up at the mere mention of the white-haired man’s name—it felt unnatural, and the hurt that flashed in Yura’s eyes now happened way too often for Megumi to miss.

Anger surged up within him again at how the white-haired asshole had so easily hurt Yura, along with frustration, indignation, and a series of other emotions Megumi couldn’t quite name as he watched Yura and Gojo’s relationship deteriorate way too quickly in front of him. How did that happen? How could the white-haired bastard allow it to happen? How could he do that to Yura? Didn’t she mean something to him—something important?

So why?

‘...Satoru apologized,’ Yura told him again. ‘We... talked. Sorted through some things.’

Yeah, yeah, Megumi had heard that already. ‘So what, you just forgave him?’

Megumi didn’t know if he could ever forgive the bastard after he’d hurt someone like that so callously—someone he supposedly cared about.

But Yura’s eyes fell down to the ground, going silent for a moment, and Megumi suddenly felt bad for bringing back that same distant look to her eyes. ‘It’s complicated,’ she eventually said, her lips then pursing together.

A quiet moment passed between them, and Megumi wondered if he should say something—offer comforting words, and all that. But nothing came to mind, the silence stretching on and on until Yura eventually spoke up again.

‘It’s just... it hurts, you know?’ she said, shooting him a wry, sad smile, and Megumi’s grip on his mug loosened. ‘But I don’t want it to hurt forever. So I just wanted to give Satoru a chance to fix things... to make things right. And hopefully one day, it’ll stop hurting,’ she said.

Megumi’s eyes slipped down, finding his mug again.

As much as he wanted to punish the bastard, he mostly wanted Yura to not be sad anymore. And as much as he wished she would just get over Gojo and be done with the asshole, the thought also tasted bitter—the idea too wild and inconceivable and wrong for him to fully believe in.

So if Yura getting over Gojo was not an option, then the only thing that was left was...

Megumi let out a sigh, his jaw unclenching. And finally, he turned around to fix Gojo with a stare.

“Gojo,” Megumi called, his face dead serious. The white-haired man locked eyes with him despite the glasses in the way, and Megumi stared at him head-on. “...If you hurt Yura-san again,” he started, unblinking, “I’m going to kill you.”

Gojo’s lips tugged up, and Megumi wrinkled his nose—take him seriously, dammit.

“You’re gonna have to get stronger if you want to do that,” Gojo replied, amused.

Megumi scowled. “Guess I’ll just have to train harder.”

Gojo nodded, crossing his arms and leaning against his car. “You know, I could help with that...”

Well, considering he was supposed to be Megumi’s teacher from now on, that would be literally his job. And even though the thought of relying on the idiot for training annoyed Megumi to no end—Gojo was the one person who couldactually make him stronger.

Because as much as Megumi enjoyed training with Yura, and as much as he did think that there was plenty he could still learn from her... she would never train with him like Gojo did. The white-haired man often called her overprotective, which, in a way, Megumi supposed was correct—he was pretty sure that if Yura had her way, then he would never become an official sorcerer in the first place.

But that was no longer an option, not after Megumi witnessed a real battle firsthand and had been unable to do much to help. The feeling of helplessness at being barely able to fight against Geto’s curses still gnawed at him on the inside, the sudden clarity of how weak he actually was hitting him full force on that Christmas Eve.

He had to get stronger. He had to train harder.

“...I want to tame more of the Ten Shadows,” Megumi eventually declared.

Gojo’s lips tugged up again. “We can do that,” he replied, then a grin spread across his lips. “After all, you still got a long way to go if you want to catch up to me, kid!”

Megumi scoffed, but it was a bit half-hearted. “Shut up.”

Megumi wasn’t quite ready to fully forgive Gojo yet for what he’d put Yura through—for what he’d put them all through, to be honest. Megumi still had a lot of anger inside of him that he still needed to let out at the white-haired man—like Megumi’s own punishment for Gojo after he’d nearly ruined everything. But Yura had previously told Megumi that she was just glad that the worst was over, and as she and Tsumiki arrived and the conversation took on a light and easy tone, Megumi could finally see what she’d meant by that.

The worst was over—namely, Yura and Gojo were speaking again. It seemed that the older man had quit being such a dumbass and those two had been able to sort things out, going by what Yura had told him, and Megumi could finally see glimpses of normal again.

Of course, they were all mostly glimpses, because Megumi couldn’t say that things had gone back exactly to the way they were before. Sure, Yura and Gojo were being friendly with each other once more, and the four of them were finally together again—but Megumi didn’t have to look closely to be able to tell that some things were still off. There was a distancebetween the two that Megumi couldn’t remember ever seeing there before, and it wasn’t just the lack of their usual physical contact that gave it away.

It was in the way that Gojo would start towards Yura, like he was about to touch her or wrap an arm around her, before he suddenly caught himself halfway. The way Yura would sometimes hesitate when looking at him, a shadow of something passing over her face. The both of them tried their best to not let it show, but Megumi had known them long enough to be able to tell that things weren’t quite right yet, even though things were at least better than they had been a few weeks ago.

You better make it right, asshole, Megumi thought, sending the white-haired man a scowl. You better fix things, and you better treat her right from now on.

Because, like he’d told the man, Megumi would not be above throttling the idiot with his own two hands if Gojo ever messed up again...

When Satoru parked his car near her place, Yura suddenly regretted that their day out together was about to end. They had just dropped off both Megumi and Tsumiki at their place after spending the entire day together (even if Tsumiki was living at the school now), and then Satoru had promptly driven Yura to her apartment as expected.

But she kinda didn’t want to say goodbye, even if it was just for tonight.

Yura let out a small sigh as she looked out of the window, staring at her building’s plain exterior walls. She could invite him over—that was what they would normally do, wasn’t it? But that thought suddenly had her hesitating, a weird feeling rolling over in her stomach, and she couldn’t bring herself to say the words.

So when Satoru spoke up again, Yura couldn’t help but feel relieved.

“...Want to go get a coffee?” he asked, after a strange moment of silence went by with them sitting inside the parked car. Satoru’s voice sounded hopeful, if tentative, and Yura actually felt grateful for the middle ground offer.

She smiled at him. “Sure,” she replied, and the way Satoru suddenly beamed at her had a warm feeling installing itself in her chest.

They ended up walking to a coffee shop near her apartment, figuring it would be easier than driving. And it was nice, walking side by side with Satoru like this, talking about any random topic that popped up in their heads—especially after they’d spent the day out with the kids like today.

It felt... special, but somehow normal. Maybe a special kind of normal, one that Yura’s heart had been craving after everything that’d happened.

“They probably won’t get to take all of their stuff into the dorms, right?” Yura commented, placing her coffee down on the table. The coffee shop wasn’t too busy, which allowed them to quickly and easily get settled in with their orders in hand. “After Megumi moves out, their apartment will be officially empty.”

Satoru shrugged. “We can just put their remaining stuff in storage,” he said, then bit into his cookie. “And we can always sell the appliances and stuff, ‘s not like they’ll need it anytime soon,” he said, his mouth full. He swallowed before Yura could kick him. “Or we just keep the apartment as is.”

“That sounds like a waste,” Yura replied. Keeping an empty apartment in Tokyo sounded ridiculous, but also something Satoru could very well afford.

“I guess.” Satoru shrugged again. “Well, it’s not like the kids own that much to begin with. Megumi only has one single game console, for heaven’s sake!”

Yura’s lips tugged up. “...That’s ‘cause he’s not a rich brat, unlike a certain someone.”

Satoru narrowed his eyes at her, but he was biting back a grin. “Hey.”

Yura brought her coffee cup to her mouth to hide her own smile.

Discussing the mundane details of Megumi’s move to the school dorms was a nice way to get her mind off the bigger picture, of the thought that the boy would be finally acting as a sorcerer in an official capacity. Unlike Tsumiki who didn’t go on missions, those would be required from Megumi, and Yura didn’t know if she was ready for that.

“So,” she shook herself out of it. “We’re using your car to move his stuff?”

Satoru grinned at her. “Haven’t you always?”

Yura let out an amused huff—when both she and Shoko moved out of the dorms after graduation, they’d both made Satoru transport their things with his new car.

...And then again once they’d both moved into their next apartments. And also when the Fushiguros moved. And when Tsumiki moved into the school.

He was the only one with a car.

“What else are you good for?” she retorted, hiding her mouth again by taking a sip of her coffee.

Satoru dramatically placed a hand on his chest as he surged back. “I knew you only liked me for my money and worldly possessions!”

Yura snorted but kicked him under the table. “Settle down, you oaf.”

Satoru swung himself forward on his chair, resting his elbows on the table as he batted his lashes at her over the rim of his glasses. “But you do like me, don’t you?” he asked with a crooked grin, then batted his lashes some more.

The question was made lightly, his tone humorous. But somehow, it also felt like an earnest inquiry, and it made Yura’s heart do a double thumb inside her chest.

(Did she like him?)

(That’s silly—of course she did.)

But Yura placed her palm on his face and shoved him away. “Not when you make a scene, I don’t.”

Satoru only grinned as he allowed himself to be pushed back.

This was fun—spending time with Satoru like this again, with nothing else in mind. This easy dynamic seemed to keep any negative feelings at bay, allowing for a few blissful moments where she and Satoru were just friends again.

...And just friends would have to be enough for now.

“Are there really no other students enrolled yet?” Yura asked, crossing her arms over her chest as she and Satoru walked back to her apartment.

Satoru shook his head, his hands inside his pockets. “Nope. One might pop up eventually, but for now, it’s just Megumi,” he replied, shrugging slightly. Then he paused. “...don’t be surprised if Megumi calls you to come and teach him some days.”

Yura sighed—Megumi was still very mad at Satoru, which didn’t bode well for the beginning of this new school year with Satoru as his new jujutsu teacher. Things had gotten moderately better today as they all spent time together, but it wasn’t hard to tell that Megumi was still holding on to some resentment towards the white-haired man.

To be honest, part of Yura wished the boy would just forget all about it and let them all be together again without any weird feelings in the way, but Yura knew that was an exceptionally selfish thing to ask. She couldn’t ask Megumi to just forget about it when she herself hadn’t, when her own feelings towards Satoru were still very much weird. The way that she wanted his company, but was still too afraid to ask him to be there; how she was desperate for his touch, but couldn’t bring herself to reach out and pull him closer.

She sighed again.

“So...” Satoru started, his steps slowing down. “This is my car.”

Satoru eventually came to a stop and Yura followed suit, realizing that yes, they were right in front of her building now.

Satoru let out a breath, casually leaning against the side of his car with his arms crossed over his chest. “You gonna pop up at the school tomorrow?” he asked, and Yura was glad that he was keeping the conversation going, preventing things from growing awkward again.

“Probably,” she replied. “Maki was asking me to do some weapons training with her.”

Satoru huffed out a laugh. “They’re supposed to be on break now.”

Her lips tugged up. “You tell Maki that.”

Yura... wasn’t quite ready to end the day yet, she realized. So her feet ended up pushing her forward, leaning against the car and mirroring Satoru’s posture. Yura didn’t miss the way that he seemed to perk up at that, his lips tilting up in a smile, and it brought a strange but familiar fluttering to her stomach.

“That reminds me of a certain someone, you know,” he said, shooting her a pointed stare. “Training non-stop.”

Yura bit back her grin. “That’s because a certain someone kept calling me weak.”

Satoru threw his head back with a whine, then shifted so his shoulder would lean against hers. “Yuraaa,” he drawled out, pushing more of his weight against her. “I was a dumb teenager back then—I didn’t mean it.”

Yura huffed, still trying to contain her grin. “Yes, you did.”

“...Yes, I did,” he admitted. “You were pretty weak...”

Yura couldn’t let that one slide, even though he was kinda right. So she raised a hand and promptly pinched Satoru on his side—right on his ticklish spot.

“H-hey,” he let out, his grin wide, immediately trying to squirm away from her.

But Yura didn’t relent, pinching him there again. “You saying I’m weak?” she asked, her grin fully breaking out.

“I didn’t say you’re weak, I said you were—” Satoru let out a chortle as he threw himself back against the car as Yura full-on tickled him.

Even the strongest had his weak spots.

“Who’s weak now, huh?” she taunted, Satoru trying to squirm away from her tickling hands. Yura had long forgotten they were still in public as she went on this tickling offensive, enjoying the feeling of the strongest sorcerer putty in her hands.

“Alright, that’s—” Satoru tried, his grin as wide as it could be as he tried batting her hands away. “That’s enough—”

Satoru finally grabbed her hands to stop her from tickling him... but instead of just holding them still, he suddenly tugged her body forward, his forearms locking hers against his chest.

And then he was so, so close.

Satoru’s puffs of laughter brushed over her face until he realized that Yura had gone quiet, her eyes wide as she stared up at him. His grin slowly faded as he seemed to have realized just what he’d done, and they both went very, very still.

Yura’s heart started beating fast in her chest, her cheeks warming in a way that she had grown unaccustomed to in the past two years. Why was she suddenly feeling like this? Why was her heart doing a wild dance inside her ribcage like it wanted to break free?

Satoru’s grip on her hands loosened, but he still kept them both in place, holding her to him. They stayed there for a while, Yura’s eyes roaming all over his face, looking for something—even though she wasn’t sure what. Her gaze flicked down to his lips, a painful feeling inside her chest that was eventually beaten by the feeling of expectation, the thought that something was about to happen—

She waited. And waited.

And... nothing happened.

Silence stretched on between them, their bodies completely still, Satoru’s breaths brushing over her face—until it finally got too much, and Yura had to look away.

As Yura blinked, her gaze shifting to the side, Satoru’s hands finally released her. Yura let out a breath as he pulled back, their bodies separating once again as Yura remembered that they were, in fact, in public.

Her cheeks felt warm, but her body suddenly felt cold.

“...Well,” Satoru eventually started, breaking the silence. He cleared his throat. “If you stop by the school tomorrow, I’ll be there training with Yuuta.”

Yura absentmindedly nodded, still trying to sort out her jumbled thoughts. “Right. Well...”

Satoru nodded back.

The awkwardness that clung to them as they said their goodbyes squeezed at her heart, but Yura still couldn’t do anything about it. It felt extra painful today, though, after they’d spent an almost normal day out with the Fushiguros, the lingering weirdness between them hitting her extra hard.

And that torn feeling from before was still there, chasing after her as she climbed up her building’s stairs alone—the feeling between what she wanted, and what she thought she could handle right now. It followed her as she entered her apartment, as she started on her nightly routine before bed—regret and hesitation pulling at her in equal measure, tearing her in two.

All she really wanted was for this feeling to go away. If she could get rid of it with a snap of her fingers, she would—all she wanted was for them to go back to how they were before.

But she couldn’t. At least, not now. Now, she could only lay down in her bed alone, feeling the happiness that lingered from the day the four of them had spent together, and regret at the fact that Satoru wasn’t there to end it with her.

Yura sighed into her pillow, then pressed her face into it.

...Maybe one day, she could only hope.

Maybe one day they would be able to have all of that again.

But hey, they're spending some quality family time together again! And Satoru and Yura are hanging out like normal again! And we got to see Megumi be pissed off at Satoru first hand! Hooray?

Anyway, I'm really trying to get things moving along with this story so we can finally enter JJK present-day canon (and fix what Gege broke), but also I still want to make sure I take the time to develop these two's relationship again after this bump in the road. And as much as my brain is telling me 'ok hurry tf up', my heart wants to draw it out a bit, and guess who's winning lmao. But hopefully I can strike a balance between the two!

How is the English version of Twisted Wonderland Different? (Epel)

As we learn in Book 5, Epel is only being forced to adhere to Vil's rules until he is strong enough to win against Vil in a fight.

This is referenced in several of Epel's lines where he talks about beating Vil but on EN all of Epel's references to wanting to win against his housewarden have been changed to wanting to win against Crowley, instead.

Epel’s misogyny was downplayed for the English-speaking audience: originally he talks about Vil being weak and girly (repeating the same insult three times, possibly to illustrate his limited vocabulary), and this was changed to, "prim n' proper gent," "wuss" and "If Ah'm a pot, yer a kettle!" on EN.

During Halloween Epel says, “tange, me!” while describing pumpkin pudding. This is an expression from the Tsugaru dialect of Japan’s Aomori prefecture and just means, “really delicious.”

In the English language adaptation of the game, Epel’s line has been changed to, “It made me want to slap my mama.” Since there can really be no equivalent to certain dialects across languages, it makes sense that Epel’s phrasing is being changed for EN, by necessity.

But if you're wondering if "slap my mama" is an expression that was translated directly, it is not :>

(While Epel repeatedly uses the word "tange" for emphasis of when something is delicious/cool/fun, the "slap my mama" localization has only appeared the one time.)

After seeing Epel's delight in riding a blastcycle Vil decides to assign him the main role in his student film, leading to Epel being dragged away by film club students while protesting.

At this point in the original game Vil says, “Does the light in one’s eyes really change so completely depending upon if they’re doing something they have an interest in or not? What a troublesome apple.”

This was changed in his English-language dialogue to, “And yet his eyes clearly lit up at the prospect. I see right through you, my dear Epel.”

This may be a misinterpretation of Vil’s original dialogue, which means the opposite: Epel does not have any interest in the film, only in the blastcycle, and his eyes are not lighting up at the prospect of the role. The light has gone out because his excitement for the blastcycle is gone.

Interestingly the game’s creator, Toboso Yana, has said that in the early development stages Epel was a character who longed to be in show business!

Awwwwww, hi lovely Nonnie! :D Thank you for thinking of me! <3

YES! I DID! AND OF COURSE I SCREAMED SO MUCH! You could tell that for the most part, there were two groups there, the group of her and her boys on one side, talking and laughing together, while the other BOC people were in another group, standing pretty close, but still completely separate from them. The three of them just gave me SUCH a family vibe! :')

And then there's the fact that she also commented on Mileapo Official's post with pics from this:

Because not only did we get to see Mile's mom with both of them, she was actually coming back from a trip to Japan, which means that she had to TIME IT to make sure she gets to see them before they fly off to Saudi Arabia. It was evident it was pre-arranged, she left a comment beforehand telling Mile she will see him. So yeah, they compared schedules, and I guess she made her plans so she gets to see both before they leave...

And I think there's something in the dynamic there, which changed relatively recently. Because for whatever reason, they kept a certain distance publicly, with her not officially following Apo, and vice versa, even when it was clear they were close. I'm sure unofficially, they regularly checked out each other's accounts. Fuck it, Mile's mom was following Mileapo Official before she followed Apo, does anyone think she wasn't also looking at the "source material"? But now suddenly, Mile's mom uploads a pic from the Man Suang premeiere, which she cropped to leave out her son's other colleagues, only including her family and Apo. Now suddenly, Apo and Mile's mom follow each other publicly. Now suddenly, she doesn't hesitate to obviously make an effort to meet both of them out in public, and where they all know that the encounter will be captured on film. I might be completely wrong, but it feels significant. And I'd jokingly say Mile's mom is letting her son know that if he doesn't marry Apo, she will. XD

Thank you again for the ask! I apologize, you might have seen my personal update on my housing issues following the war. I've found a solution, but it left me a bit drained of time and energy, so I couldn't make Mileapo posts. And I would love to catch up, but IDK if there's anything that hasn't been posted (I do not have the resources to check), nor if there's an interest in it. Just know I'm still following and loving them, even on days when I can't post! (I found all this info on the TMNT wiki, the sources are linked, of course, so you can see for yourself) All of the points below are canonical info confirmed either by the show itself or by Rise's staff writers:

Yoshi didn't move to the US immediately. His film career began in Japan and then he went to the US. He was already a famous celebrity by the time he moved.

Yoshi was in his early thirties (30-33 y/o) the day he proposed to Big Mama.

Yoshi's film career ended in the mid-90s (1994-1996) (i.e., he was abducted).

Yoshi and the Turtles' mutation occurred in approximately 2005.

Yoshi was in his early forties (40-43 y/o) the day he was mutated.

Yoshi was in the Battle Nexus for 10 years before escaping.

The show begins in 2018 in-universe.

The episode "The Evil League of Mutants" takes place precisely 13 years post-Yoshi and the Turtles' mutation.

The episode "Lair Games" takes place in 2019 in-universe.

The show's season 2 finale ("Battle Nexus: New York"-"Rise") takes place in 2019 in-universe.

The Rise movie's present-time takes place in 2020 in-universe.

This date hasn't been confirmed to be canonical by the prop designers/writers so it very well could mean nothing, but it might be worth taking into account that the clapboard of the film Big Mama and Yoshi met on, Crouching Shrimp Hidden Tiger Prawn, is dated 1984. So they may have been a couple since then, considering how they were both into each other immediately and aren't shy people. Is this is true (again, the 1984 date could be wrong) and we make the math as clean-cut as possible by declaring Yoshi proposed in precisely 1995, was trapped in the Battle Nexus for 10 years, and mutated in 2005, Big Mama and Yoshi were a couple for 11 years before the proposal. It hasn't been confirmed how old Yoshi was when his film career started and it hasn't been confirmed how long he was making Japanese films before he immigrated to the US.

Okay, so I was a little off with my math, which is pretty on brand for me. But yes! Here's a more precise timeline with significantly fewer guesstimates.

When we got to Japan it was pretty late so I was ready to get some rest but the guys had different plans. I stare into the pitch darkness of my room with a pissed off expression slapped across my face. I didn't want to go tell them to try to be quiet because then I know for sure they wouldn't leave me alone.

I knew I wouldn't be able to fall asleep so I go see what was going on. "Alex, come do this with us." Ehren motions me to come over and I see they had a muscle stimulators machine. (A/N: let's pretend it took place in Japan)

"Why not." I take a seat on the couch with them.

"This is the muscle stimulator." Johnny says with the patches on his face then they turn it on. Johnny whines then takes them off, "On, it hurts my teeth!" He says making me laugh. "Whose next?" He looks at us.

"I'll go. Put it on my hands." Dave puts his hands out do I stick the pads in his hands.

Johnny controls the power and when he turns it on Dave jumps around as his hands close themselves. Finally Dave gets them off as we keep laughing.

"Alex, your next honey." Johnny holds the pads. "Where we putting them?" He asks and I shrug.

"Put them here." Chris motions to his body so I pull the front of my shorts down so they could put it on my lower abdomen.

"Okay, here we go." Johnny turns it on and it didn't hurt making me laugh and confusing the guys.

"Turn it up higher." Dave says so Johnny does but nothing except a few facial expressions.

"What the fuck?" Johnny asks.

"Maybe because I'm used to cramps and I gave birth..." I say so he pulls them off then quickly stocked it to my neck making me yell.

"AHH, FUCK! OKAY!" I go for my neck pulling the shit off. "You got your fucking reaction." I punch the shit out of Johnny.

"I'm sorry." He kisses the side of my head but is give him away as it was Ehren's turn.

After his turn someone had to volunteer to do the gooch and none of the guys really wanted to do it so Dave decided to fill in the spot.

"So during this movie is when Alex will see everyone's dicks." Chris laughs.

"I'm already close with everyone so now we'll just get closer. 2/9 so seven more to go about to be six." I laugh as Dave gets undressed.

Dave takes a few screams before finally pulling it off completely down with it. Johnny ends up sticking the part that was in Dave onto Ehren's face before Chris says let's do his balls.

Chris's yelling and pain was the most funniest to watch that I ended up getting tears in my eyes.

"You're laughing a little bit to hard ma'am." Chris picked up the pads coming towards me.

"Chris! No! That was on your nuts!" I scream crawling over Johnny and Ehren to get away from him.

"I got her!" Johnny grabs my legs while Ehren holds my arms.

"Stop! Please." I scream while the all guys in the room laugh. "Chris, I thought I was your friend?!" I turn my head to the side as he brings the pads towards my face. I use everything in me and kick Johnny in the balls making him let go of me, so I can use my legs to flip myself back getting out of Ehren's grip. "Fuck you." I back away as he gives up.

As I go back to my room and Ryan and Bam just let themselves in, "I kinda just wanted to be alone... I'm MY room." I groan as they sit on either side of me as I laid on the bed.

"I don't think you're going to get any alone time at all while we film for this movie." Ryan laughs pulling me up so he could put an arm around my shoulder.

"Well I was for a second before you two decided waltz into my room." I give them both a look.

"Aww mama's pouting." Bam pinches my cheeks.

"You've got to stop calling me mama, Bam." I back hand his chest.

"I can't like older women, who happens to be a mom. So the nickname works out perfectly?" He pats my thigh.

"Okay but the name makes it seem like there's more than a five year age difference."

"I'm not gonna stop mama." He gives me a quick kiss then runs off so I look at Ryan. "Plus you look younger than me so no one would know." Bam pops his head back in then leaves again.

"Please don't do what he just did." I sigh making Ryan laugh.

"I won't kiss you unless you want me to. Plus I know you like Johnny." He chuckles making me shake my head no. "I'm not that dumb, Alex. You both like each other it's obvious. The way you look at each other. He cares WAY too much about you more than a friend would, Chris..." He gives me a smile.

"So you're not as dumb as you look." I say making him chuckle pulling me closer to his side.

"Have you told him? Or do you two know?"

"We agreed not to. He respects what I want. I need to focus on Caiden and I. Plus he kinda messed it up getting with other girls after we got together. Pretending it never happened." I explain to him as I rest my head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Alex. Boys, guys, men, well we aren't the smartest." He says making me giggle agreeing. "He still likes you, Alex and you still like him."

"I know but I can't. Plus I don't wanna get hurt. I hate dating."

"I feel you, honey but I think Johnny is the best out of all of us. I see how much he cares about you and if you two never work... You will have a friend for life." He kisses the top of my head. "I'll leave you now so you can be alone like you wanted." He gets up walking out of the room.

"Ryan." I get up going over to him. "Thank you for the little talk." I give him a smile before kissing his cheek.

"Love you, Ri." He smiles walking away so I lay back down but I wasn't alone for a while.

"You didn't even apologize for kicking me in the nuts." Johnny sits down laying his head on my stomach.

"I'm terribly sorry that I'm not apologizing for kicking you in the balls." I look down at him.

"What was all that with Ryan?" He scans my face.

"Just talking." I sigh.

"And a kiss on the cheek with a love you." He sits up turning to look at me.

"Are you the only one allowed to have a meaningful conversation?" I prop myself up with my elbows.

"No but I don't remember getting a kiss on the cheek and me saying love you." He crosses his arms.

"I have kissed you on the cheek so the last one is on you. But really we were having a nice conversation to help me out with something."

"I thought I was that someone?" I close my eyes throwing back my head sighing at his words.

"Johnny, I can have more someone's. But you'll always be my number one someone about most things... just not this one okay." I sit up giving him a smile.

"Long as I'm your number one." He smiles making me smile more.

"Now, I wanna get some sleep so please leave now." I wave him off so he chuckles more.

"I'm out. Good night Allie." He walks towards my door.

"Night PJ." I get under my cover.

What is Next for The Bangtan Gal!? Upcoming Chapters Part 2!

Damn, I'm really back writing this story with new chapters. It's weird yet exciting. Please bear with me with slow updates. I will try my best not to take forever to upload. You are welcome to skip this if you do not want to be spoiled on what I plan to write next for this story.

Here is what I plan to work on. Some of these chapter titles may be placeholders and not everything is revealed in the summary as I'm still planning to get the gist of what's happening. As well as when I'll put smut and suggestive content in it. So stay tuned! But here is the first set of what I plan to write.

Blood, Sweat, and Tears- Jennie and Jimin fight over his extreme diet. BTS film BST with Jennie and Taehyung filming a sexy scene together. Jennie spends time with GOT7. (This will be the last time I write about his diet. There is angst in this but it will end fluffy with them making up. I apologize in advance for the angst :( )

Idol Parents?- BTS anticipates the release of WINGS. Jennie and Jungkook are assigned to take care of a robot baby for a parenting class at school. (A reader gave me the robot baby idea years ago and I ran with it, lol. I used to have parenting classes back in high school but could never take them because it was always full smfh. Weenies I tell ya. Always taking up spots for the classes I was interested in. College was WORSE OMFG I was pissed that I had to wait days while others got first dibs.)

Big Enough For Two- BTS promote BST as viewers and fans freak out and wonder what is going on between Jennie and Taehyung due to what they saw in the MV. Jennie suffers a wardrobe malfunction during a show. Jennie and Jungkook become stressed trying to juggle school and promotions. Pissed about having to take an exam the next morning, Jungkook's angry emotions are shown while performing late at night for a show and Jennie helps him calm down back at the dorm.

Thank You- Jennie finally tells Jungkook that she is ready for the next step. BTS continues to promote BST. JenKook plans with Bangtan and Big Hit on how they want to reveal their relationship. BTS film their Halloween dance practice

Our First Time (Jungkook smut)- Jennie celebrates her birthday in Japan and Jungkook makes it a memorable one.

BTS 3rd Muster

First Daesang!- BTS wins their first Daesang! Jennie excitedly shares on social media about her preparations to collab with Hyuna at the MAMA Awards. But less than a week before the show, Mnet claims Jennie is not ready for a vocal solo performance and it is too early in her story to perform solo. The collab gets scrapped and Hyuna plans to perform by herself which pisses off Armies with the blindslide. (That'll be the end of the Hyuna stuff. They will no longer be friends after this and I will be done writing about her. For Mnet telling Jen she is not ready, I got inspiration from Victoria Monet being told she was not ready by MTV. But best believe MAMA Awards 2017 with Big Hit making sure she gets her time to shine without dealing with another Idol like Hyuna, she will SLAY. It will suck having Jennie spend long hours every day preparing for her solo before collabing with Hyuna. She planned to release a new song too. The song I thought of was Victoria Monet's Alright. Without the cussing since it would be on TV and also without the Jaguar roaring at the end of the song. That song is a banger! Omg. The plan was to have her perform that song for the first time while DJing and then dance and stuff before Hyuna met with her on stage. She will have the chance to perform it at one of the end of the year shows instead. G-Dragon will give Jen a pep talk on everything too and show support. I hope you like the vision when I write it.)

Mama Awards 2016- Jennie and Taehyung prepare for a stage kiss at the award show and BTS wins Best Artist. Jennie still makes sure to have a little solo dance for Fire when Bangtan performs, proving that she is ready for a solo.

BREAKING!! BTS' Jennie & Jungkook dating!?- Jennie supports Taehyung during his press conference for his drama. JenKook reveal their relationship in their own unique way, catching Dispatch and the world offguard. Big Hit and Bangtan show their support for the couple

Going Public- With their relationship out, Jennie and Jungkook happily enjoy being a couple without having to be private. BTS attends ISAC

You Never Walk Alone- Jennie and Jungkook graduate high school. BTS promote their new album with Jennie getting called Storm for dyeing her hair white/grey for the new comeback.

Black Panther- BTS begins their WINGS tour. Black Panther's director reaches out to Big Hit, wanting Jennie to have a small role in the film, and makes a character for her. Excited and honored, Jennie films with the Black Panther cast in Busan for the casino/chase scene, doing her own stunts. (I have been having this idea for years! It'll be a step closer for Jennie and Jungkook to meet Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. I got major ideas for the future after this Marvel themed chapter! I hope you enjoy the vision when I write it! It's going to be so fun!)

Billboard Awards 2017- Jennie Media trains BTS for America as they prepare to attend the Billboard Awards. Jennie runs into Trinity from Amity. (Best believe she will make sure to let Namjoon know what a heart throb is lol. I still remember that. Lots of Jennie and Namjoon fluff. She is going to have his back)

Mic Drop Remix- BTS release the Mic Drop Remix. Jennie and Desiigner snap on his version of Mic Drop. Recovered from her injury, Jennie makes a statement with a vocal and dance solo stage during Bangtan's performance after getting her solo scrapped at last year's MAMA Awards.

New Year's Rockin' Eve

Black Panther Premiere & Press Tour In Seoul- BTS attend the Black Panther Premiere to support Jennie. Jennie attends the Press Tour of Black Panther in Korea. Hobi releases his mixtape

Burn The Stage

Complete The Square- After Hobi's mixtape is out, ARMY trends for wanting Jennie, the last of the rap line for BTS, to finally release the music she has been working on for years. (Since there will be 4 people in the rap line of BTS, RM, Suga, Hobi, and Jennie, I thought it would be cool to say complete the square since she's the last one to release solo music)

Jennie X NIKE- Jennie films commercials for her Nike endorsement with celebs like Lebron James and Kevin Hart. Jennie proves that her getting chosen to endorse Nike was one of the best business decisions as her endorsement with the brand is released and sells out immediately, creating high demand. Jennie goes on press tours to promote the brand. (I'm highkey considering her Nike collab to be like Beyonce's IVY Park. Having various collections each time. I am still brainstorming.)

Love Yourself: Tear- BTS promote their new album. BTS attends the Billboard Awards 2018. BTS goes on Ellen and the Late Late Show with James Corden. (Jennie is not a fan of Ellen and will think of the negative experience she had during the Amity days with her.)
