SEVENTEEN's SCOUPS and IVY Confirmed to be in a Relationship

What are your thoughts?

SEVENTEEN’s IVY and SCOUPS have been involved in dating rumors when a series of photos taken before the pandemic were posted by an unknown user in social media. In these photos they can be seen on late night dates, shopping, and being affectionate with one another.

It was later found out that the photos were taken and later posted by a well-known Sasaeng fan of IVY who is known to follow the idol in private and personal schedules. The post made by the fan was soon deleted after his identity was revealed and the account was taken down due to mass reporting done by fans of the idol group.

Today, months after the series of posts were made speculating about the relationship between IVY and SCOUPS, they have posted a series of photos in their respective personal instagram accounts.

Both of their posts contained a series photos of them together and a letter that they have written on their caption towards their fans.

"Hello. This is IVY. We know how deeply Carats care for us, how every moment shared, every stage performance, and every smile we give to you is treasured in your hearts. You've watched us grow, seen us chase our dreams, and been by our side through it all. And now, as a part of that journey, we have been wanting to confirm to you all. Me and Scoups have built a special bond, not just as teammates but as partners who support each other through ups and downs. We know this news might come as a surprise, but we want you to understand that this love is something the both of us cherish dearly. We also know many of you have known for a while (we haven't really been discreet and have also decided not to be hehe) and have been just waiting patiently for a statement from our company and from the both of us confirming or denying the rumors. We are incredibly grateful for the love and respect you all have shown us, and we are asking for your understanding and continued support during this chapter of our lives. Thank you. Love, IVY."

Their announcement on their seperate personal Instagram accounts were soon followed by an official statement by their company, PLEDIS Entertainment.

After much consideration and respect for the privacy of all parties involved, we are confirming that our artists IVY and SCOUPS, have been in a relationship for the past five years, since January of 2018. Both IVY and SCOUPS have taken great care in maintaining their relationship quietly and respectfully, prioritizing their personal lives alongside their professional careers. We ask for your understanding and continued support as they continue to grow both personally and professionally. Thank you."

Their fans were quick to show their support towards the couple since their confirmation were posted.

❪ 🏹  going seventeen  ❫ as always, going seventeen provides the viewer a comedic setting of seventeen and their idol personas. in this fic, you'll be able to read the jeongmi moments/cuts caught by carats. this is just a compilation of my favorite gose episodes 🥲 not proof-read 😞

﹙  INSOMNIA-ZERO I ﹚—  with seungcheol still in his hiatus, minji was the first person up and she had no clue what she was getting herself into. although there were a few remarks about her snarky behavior when she gets mad and her constant fights with s.coups, she had a clean slate. most of the members mentioned how she was quite literally their mother since they spent most, if not all, their time training. after her time was over, minji had left the mattress with a heartbeat of 98, which was not bad compared to the rest. minji handed jeonghan the heart monitor and sat herself next to wonwoo. 

as many might notice, the 95 line are quite stuck to the bone and minji was not afraid of spilling some secrets about jeonghan. the female member began talking about the "oppa" situation and jeonghan turned to the side trying to forget it. the members, who had already heard this story, continued it with jeonghan's prior remarks about how she would never have a clue. all of the chatter about the two later transferred to jeonghan's more devious plans towards the members; minji sat there in silence just montioring the members. once jeonghan's time was over, his first instinct was to look at the cause of the chaos: minji. 

"jeonghan-ah, remember. once your time is up, you can't defend yourself~"

[forced to be silent]

he gave her the stink eye and handed joshua the monitor. minji scooted to give him space, which he gladly took. the pair sat in silence for a while until he started to open his mouth about joshua. in the camera shots, you could see the small little heart eyes minji gave jeonghan whenever he spoke and would lean into him. it was the small signals that would drive shippers crazy.. though it would soon end after jeonghan was part of the three members that would go home early, minji being tied with another and turned her attention to joshua c:

﹙  TTT 2020 ﹚—  this was the "going seventeen" episode that basically comfirmed the dating rumors between these two. minji, jeonghan, hoshi, and woozi were all in the same car on their way to the rented house. while woozi and driver jeonghan were in the front seats, minji and soonyoung were in the back having fun and giggling to each other. this led to frequent checks from jeonghan through the rearview-mirror only to spot minji looking at him and smiling :3. at their stop to get food, the "woozi cam" captured the pair walking together with jeonghan's arm around her. during the cuts of them eating, a slight drunk minji was basically all up on jeonghan. it got so worse the editors had to cut so much of the footage. 

while being on the losing team during foot-volleyball, minji made her way to the alcohol stand where her worst enemy laid, the vodka mix. offering to drink the member's shots, minji knew she wouldn't remember a thing tomorrow. before she started her third shot, jeonghan looked at her questionably and asked if she was okay doing this. 

"are you sure you're going to be okay? i don't want you throwing up on me later tonight."

"relax babe, i'll be fine! i used to go band for band when i was a teenager, it'll be alright~~"

[. . . . “babe”?]

noticing her slipup of the word "babe", jeonghan knew it was too late. the members just stared at her and hoped it wouldn't make it to the final cut (it did). though like the self-proclaimed pro she is, she raised the shot glass to her lips and threw her head back. the bitter aftertaste of whatever was in that container had left her feeling a little silly, which had meant the real fun had started to begin.

joining soonyoung in the fanatic drunks is minji. as stated before, minji becomes up and personal with the people around her when drunk. although she may have a high alcohol tolerance (thanks to her underage drinking), minji's affections become more and more affectionate when drinking way too much. 

during this time, minji and jeonghan were first beginning their relationship and they did not want to be exposing it right away to the cameras; but pair minji + alcohol and you get a mess that is quite hard to clean up. after she had made dinner, she sat between jeonghan and seungcheol. many fans point out the difference in actions done by the two men. jeonghan was basically minji's headrest and seungcheol was just there to balance her out.

the day after constant drinking and singing, minji was pretty much hung over #she threw up and spent most of her day taking things slow, especially when cleaning up the kitchen… moving into the car was the best thing she could’ve done. with hoshi taking the driver’s role on the way back, the '95 duo were left in the backseats and spent their time resting (cuddling eachother too bruh).

﹙  AB-LIB GOING COMPANY ﹚—  the first ‘gose’ episode after the news of the couple… so let’s say the members didn’t quite hold back. starting off with the ceo and the employee relationship ..

[before minji enters (on standby with the "foreign department")]

“have you guys heard the rumor?” seungcheol starts while leaning in to talk with the rest of the ‘employees’. some of them shook their head and leaned in to hear.

“supposedly the ceo and mizuki.. are dating.” seungkwan revealed it. “but that’s just a rumor..”

“isn’t that nepotism?”

“hyung.. that’s when your born into the company..”

minji’s reaction, while on standby, was just her eye-rolling at what they were doing. though as soon as minghao, jun, and vernon started walking towards the rest of the ‘employees’, she followed them.

[staff chwe hansol, doi mizuki, wen junhui, xu minghao come to work]

“oh! good morning mizuki!” seungkwan smiled as he spoke as if he wasn’t talking about her a second ago.

“good morning seungkwan, how’s the research going?”

“research about what…?” minji smiled about his inital confusion and began her snarky comment.

“about my relationship with the ce-”

[ceo yoon jeonghan comes to work]

though she was cut off by jeonghan’s entrance, she just closed her mouth and stayed quiet. after embarking in the classic “content is power!” “sleep when you’re dead!” chants, the day went pretty eventful. not much was spoken about the ongoing question at hand but that was until jeonghan stirred the pot.

“let’s see who hasn’t spoken in a while.” jeonghan scanned the room to which he laid eyes on her scribbling down doodles. “ah, mizuki.. why don’t you share what’s on your notepad?”

seungcheol, who was across from her, snickered then later shook due to the ‘coldness’. minji smiled, stood up, and cleared her throat. “well, it says i’ll like to go home.”

[not taking her job seriously.. pure silence]

“great! everyone clap!” jeonghan replied after a few seconds of silence and everyone had followed through.

“what a guy.. only excusing her just because they’re dating..”

“this has to be corruption..”

﹙  THE TRUMAN SHOW OF MR. SVT’S WE LIVE ALONE ﹚—  placed into a small room was seungcheol, minji, jeonghan, wonwoo, and seokmin. they were all commentating and watching the “everyday life” of mr. svt, mingyu. soon enough minji’s turn would begin as the new “mr. svt”.

[a good morning for the new mr. svt]

with an airpod in one ear, she knew it wouldn’t end well, especially with that devil in that room as well. the female made her way towards the kitchen to figure out a small snack. although she had eaten prior to the shoot, she thought of her members first.

“make some beef and noodles, minji-ah” seungcheol’s voice spoke within the airpod. minji, in order to pretend she didn’t hear it, thought about what to make for lunch.

“hmm.. beef and noodles seem good right now. i should start making some before my time is gone.”

[4th wall breaker]

as she began getting the ingredients, she paid no attention to the conversation in her ear. though on the other side, the members were complimenting her cooking skills.

“wah, i know it’s going to taste good. who’s next after her?” mingyu asked the question that was lingering in everyone’s mind.

“s.coups is next so he’ll be eating whatever is left..” jeonghan replied as he sighed.

minji, who didn’t want to disappoint her boyfriend, started to placed more beef into the frying pan. she smiled and spoke out loud: “i’ll make more meat for hannie and the rest.”

[thoughtful girlfriend and member]

“oooh~~” seokmin pushed jeonghan slightly at the words that came from her mouth. “don’t pretend to be coy!”

jeonghan became silent for a while, looking down and smiling.

﹙  CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST II ﹚—  the episode loaded into with jeonghan in the middle of the set, using his food coupon. minji walked in with the rest of the members and managed to stand behind him. placing her arms around him, she whispered in his ear and to which he nodded. circling in the spaghetti with his utensils, he raised it up to her mouth and the female gladly to the bite.

[special privileges]

“wow.. you give her some but it’s the end of the world if you give us any bite huh?” dino spoke as he looked in disbelief.

“yah, she asked me politely. what type of man am i to deny her?”

minji just smiled and listened to the chaos she created. after the rules were explained once again, christmas in august had already begun (even if it wasn't even august 😞). she had small knowledge of horror games and the female would only play them with friends or family. considering this was a one time thing, minji didn’t mind at all. choosing the room that was the least scary led her to be in the room with seokmin, who immediately embraced her.

[a motherly aura enters]

“minji-noona~~ i’m so glad we’re together.” seokmin says as she sits down beside him.

“i was so scared, i didn’t want to choose a room that was all alone.” minji replies as she looks around the dark and empty room. in-front of them laid the gaming computer and she knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game.

after a while, the door opened once again and this time jeonghan entered. both seokmin and minji sighed in relief.

“a-yo, a-yo” jeonghan said as he broke up the silence within the room.

“i’m relieved you’re here” seokmin spoke as he motioned him to sit down.

“i’m a spy”

“don’t lie” minji warned, she had enough of his shenanigans already.

“okay~~”

“just sit down and be quiet”

after making jeonghan stay, they all waited for the next member to arrive.

“s.coups?” seokmin question as he saw a figure walk in.

“it’s s.coups? what is this?” jeonghan spoke as him and seokmin grabbed s.coups by the shoulders leading him towards the chairs.

[a full room: three ‘95s, and one ‘98]

“yay~~ it’s coups!! we’ll definitely beat whatever game we’re going to get” minji replied as she got up and hugged him.

“this is why i didn’t want to come.. to where you, seokmin, and jeonghan were” seungcheol finally spoke as he leaned away from the affections.

minji pouted in response and got off of him, “you’re no fun at all.”

after the complaints, the group managed to make it throughout the game with barely any problems. although minji had barely touched the mouse and keyboard, she still managed to give in her in-put of where to go. though all that carats could see was her hiding behind jeonghan during the more graphic and intense scenes.

Jieun could feel the light tug of Yunho’s hand on her arm as they walked down the stairs, relieved that filming had finally concluded. It was only the first day, but the long hours and lack of sleep left her exhausted, and she was glad she could get out of the view of the cameras before her mood started to show.

Who knows what the editors could do with that footage. 

Jieun chuckled at his concern but allowed him to maintain his grip on her sleeve as they made their way to their dressing room. “Oppa, I think I’ll be ok.” 

“Ya, Song Jieun!” 

The sudden calling of the girl’s name caused her to freeze in the middle of the waiting area, along with the other members of ATEEZ. They all looked back to the source of the voice, noticing the members of THE BOYZ quickly approaching, presumably on their way to their own dressing room. 

“Geez, Sunwoo. You don’t have to be so aggressive,” Jieun said, shaking her head. She took a step toward him, not noticing Yunho’s slight disappointment as he reluctantly released her arm. 

“What was I supposed to do if you kept on ignoring me?” he complained. “You didn’t even make eye contact with me during filming!”  

Jieun rolled her eyes, giving him a light shove. “You deserve it, considering you didn’t even tell me you’d be here.” 

“Neither did you!” Sunwoo protested. 

“Sophie! It’s good to see you again,” Jacob said as he approached the two, stopping beside his member. 

She smiled at him, nodding. “You too! It’s been almost 4 years, hasn’t it?” 

Before he could respond, more members of THE BOYZ showed up, each greeting the girl as they walked by.  

“Jieun! You’re so tall now!” Younghoon said, smiling at her. Jieun bowed back, reciprocating the smile as she waved at him. While the rest of the group continued on their way, Sunwoo stayed behind, as well as Jacob.  

“Wait, you know them?” 

Jieun looked over her shoulder, eyebrows raising as she saw the baffled expressions on her members’ faces, though Sunwoo spoke up before she could. 

“Jieun and I grew up on the same street and our parents are friends,” he explained. “She also came to our debut showcase in 2017.” 

A few of her members’ jaws dropped as they stared at her. Upon noticing this, Jieun frowned, tilting her head. 

“I thought you guys already knew?” She was met with blank looks and head shakes. “Remember when we were trainees and I said I was going to go see a friend’s performance?” 

“We thought you meant a school performance!” 

Jieun shook her head. “It was their debut showcase. My brother and I went to go support Sunwoo and that’s where I met everyone else.” She turned her attention back to the boy, eyes narrowing as she looked him up and down. “Anyways, Jihoon-oppa says hi. And to call him.”  

Sunwoo chuckled. “How is he, by the way?” 

“He’s having the time of his life in med school,” Jieun said with a small chuckle. “Him and Yerin-unnie are still dating too.” 

“Has he popped the question yet?” 

“No, but I think they’re waiting until after he finishes school to-” 

Jieun was cut off as she felt two hands placed on both of her shoulders, Seonghwa standing behind her. She looked past him, only then noticing that the rest of her members had retreated to their dressing room. He gave a tight-lipped smile to the two idols.  

“Sorry, we need to head out soon,” he said with a polite nod. 

“Yeah, we should probably get going too,” Sunwoo said, glancing over at Jacob, who nodded. He looked back at Jieun and narrowed his eyes. “Respond to my messages for once, will ya?” 

Jieun rolled her eyes lightheartedly, letting out a single chuckle and waving as Sunwoo and Jacob walked off. She turned around, following the eldest back into their dressing room where the other members were already waiting. 

“Jieun! Glad you could join us,” Yunho said the moment she stepped foot into the room, a sharpness in his tone she hadn’t heard in a while. Although confused, she slowly took her seat on the couch beside San. 

“Yeah, we thought you’d never stop talking to those guys,” Jongho remarked airily. 

Yeosang nodded. “You seemed really comfortable with them.” 

A frown made its way onto Jieun’s face as she glanced around the room, the other members seemingly preoccupied by their phones, though it was clear they were just trying to avoid her gaze.

“Did I do something wrong?” she asked, looking over at their leader. Even he didn’t want to look at her. “If I did something wrong, I’m sorry, but I can’t correct my behaviour if you guys don’t tell me why you’re upset with me.” 

The members exchanged glances over her head, their silence causing her heart to drop. Suddenly, San wrapped his arms around the girl, squeezing her tightly. 

“We’re so sorry, Jieunie! You did nothing wrong!” He pressed his face into her shoulder, voice reducing to a whisper when he next spoke. “Please don’t leave us for them.” 

Confusion and bewilderment spread across her face as she held onto his arm. “Oppa, what? Why would you ever think-” Jieun paused, mouth left agape as she looked up at her other members. “Wait. Are you guys…jealous?” 

Their lack of response spoke volumes, the air so thick it could be sliced with a knife. Jieun carefully pried San’s arms off her before bringing herself to her feet. She walked to the side of the room, turning so she could face all the members at once. 

“You guys are always telling me I should talk to more people,” she reasoned, crossing her arms. “And I’ve known Sunwoo since I was like 6. He’s part of the reason I became an idol.” 

“But still, you don’t have to be so friendly with them,” Wooyoung whined. “You’re a member of ATEEZ, not THE BOYZ.” 

Jieun took a deep breath as she bit on her lower lip, trying to fight the smile that threatened to spread across her face. 

“Oppa, if it wasn’t for Sunwoo, I wouldn’t be a member of ATEEZ,” she said, earning a few surprised sounds from the others. “Remember how I said I was scouted in a convenience store? I thought it was a scam, but Sunwoo was the one who convinced me to audition for the company just in case it wasn’t. If he didn’t, I probably wouldn’t be here now. And do you guys remember that snack basket we got when we debuted?” 

“The one you said was from your brother?” Jongho asked. 

Jieun nodded in response. “Yeah, it was from Sunwoo. My brother and I used to stay over at his house a lot when our parents were busy at the hospital. His home became ours for a while, and he literally refers to me as his younger sister.” She sighed as her gaze flicked between each member, the guilt evident on their faces. “But you guys are my family too, and I promise I’d never leave you guys for another group. You’re the only boys I’d willingly stay stuck with.” 

“Jieunie, we’re sorry for being jealous.” Seonghwa walked over to her, draping his arms over her shoulders and tucking her head under his chin. 

“It’s ok,” she said, the corners of her mouth curving upwards as they rocked back and forth. One by one, the other members approached them to engulf the girl in a hug, effectively trapping her in the middle. 

“Now you can never leave,” Wooyoung cackled. 

San grinned. “You’re stuck with us forever.”  

Jieun sighed, welcoming the warmth from the multiple bodies surrounding her. She wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. 

BONUS #1: 

Sunwoo leaned his head against the car window and closed his eyes, grateful for the short chance to rest after a long day of filming. They were headed to the company for more rehearsals, so he knew this would be his only moment of peace for at least a couple hours.

The peace was short-lived, however, as his phone buzzed in his pocket. He let out a small groan as he took out his phone, squinting down at the screen. 

Jieun: Hello Sunwoo! This is Jung Wooyoung of ATEEZ. Jieun: Thank you for bringing Jieun to us. We’ll be forever grateful. Jieun: But she’s ours now <3 No take-backs.

The message was accompanied by a photo of the group, all eight male members surrounding an exasperated Jieun, who stared at the camera with a tired expression. 

Sunwoo snorted, quickly typing out a response. 

Me: I understand, Jung Wooyoung of ATEEZ🫡 Jieun: oh my god Jieun: wooyoung-oppa stole my phone Jieun: don’t mind him. he’s weird Jieun: tell everyone else i say hi, btw!  Jieun: cuz idk if my members will let me next time 💀 Me: I will, don’t worry

Sunwoo clicked off the conversation before going to his group chat with his own members. 

Me: Jieun says hi to everyone who she couldn’t say hi to before btw Haknyeon: Aw, Jieunie’s so adorable Changmin: Can we trade her for Eric?  Eric: What the heck man Me: No. Her members actually like their maknae Eric: :(  

BONUS #2: 

“How old is the youngest amongst you guys?” Changsub asked from across the room. 

Jieun looked back at her members with wide eyes, all of whom motioned for her to put her hand up. Hesitantly, she raised her hand alongside I.N. 

“I was born in 2001,” I.N said. Jieun nodded quietly.  

“So was I.” 

“You’re 10 years younger than me, and 11 years younger than these two,” Changsub said, motioning to his members and eliciting a few gasps from the other idols, along with silent laughter. “So you guys are the same age. When are your birthdays?” 

Jieun glanced over, making quick eye contact with I.N before gesturing for him to speak first. Behind her, she could hear her members�� quiet snickering, clearly enjoying all the attention on their youngest member. Jieun looked back, shooting them a quick glare before holding her mic up, waiting for I.N to say his birthday before replying with her own.

nari laughed as she sat in front of the camera, the practice room lighting highlighting her features. the voices behind the camera wouldn’t stop teasing her, doing even more when s.coups joined her. you could hear their hollering from far, the twelve man causing a ruckus inside the big room – that felt far too small from their presence.

“our beautiful couple!~”, teased seungkwan with a following whistle from jeonghan, the others laughing and keeping the mess going.

“let’s just get it over with!”, nari whined. “sit down!”

just like baby ducklings they immediately followed up with her order and sat down behind the couple, politely smiling and waving at the camera.

“hi! we are seventeen!”, they introduced themselves.

“and today these doofus-“, she got many boo’s in response, giggling at it. “are going to react to my new music video… featuring coupsie!”, she smiled at him.

the action caused an even bigger reaction from the other men, the couple rolling their eyes as cheol shushed them to finally start their task at hand.

the production crew got the laptop and table all set in front of the group, nari admiring their moment as they seemed unbothered by the cameras and just kept their normal daily lives. the staff told them to start and nari prepared herself mentally for all the teasing she would get for the rest of her life after this.

in the video, the couple was seen quickly hiding as the cube appeared up im the sky through the glass ceiling. they looked shaken up by it.

“this is all so confusing…”, dino scratched his head, nari cooing and ruffling his hair slightly.

as soon as nari’s voice played through the devide with the first lyrics of the song, all chaos broke out, making her have to pause the video once again.

“woah, miss nari~”, jeonghan teased her, mocking her. “dearest darling!~ who was it for, huh?”

the woman just shook her head and hid her face in her hands, everyone still teasing her just from the first lyrics of the song.

“everyone’s quiet and ready?”, she asked them after a few minutes, receiving positive responses from everyone. she unpaused the video.

in the mv cheol was seen picking up an old camera, quickly bringing it over to his good eye and pointing it towards nari. as soon as he saw her through the lens, everything seemed brighter and better than their actual world.

“wait!”, joshua started, the video pausing again. “why did the camera change his view of you?”

nari sighed and smiled, “well, that camera is basically the world before it was ruined and behind the camera is their present. the lenses are basically the filter of love, as it shows the beautiful things in the world beyond the appearance of someone or somethings.”

“woah, you just memorized it all?”, mingyu looked at her.

“no,” she laughed. “i was the one who suggested it, so you could understand that the physical appearance doesn’t mean anything.”

the hummed and nari clicked play once again. as she put the camera to her eye and turned to see him through it, cheol wasn’t blind anymore.

“so for you the fact that he is blind means nothing because you focus rather on his inner beauty?”, minghao asked quietly.

“yes, hao,” she answered. “because it doesn’t matter to me.”

“this is so heartbreaking and adorable at the same time…”, seungkwan sniffed. “you touching his face while looking through the camera because it makes it all look all right rather than reality…”

cheol quickly latched his hand on nari’s, giving it a squeeze. the woman smiled at the action and unpaused the video with her free hand.

the video resumed and the couple appeared sitting together in a table, with cheol using the camcorder to see nari eat in the ‘alternate reality’ while she only could pretended to eat in real life. after pretending, she started to use sign language to communicate with cheol, which made the video be paused again due to collective gasps being heard from behind the couple.

“you are deaf?”, vernon mumbled. “that’s why you didn’t speak and they used the captions?”

“yeah,” nari replied. “not only that but i’m also mute in that universe.”

“oh my god…”, seungkwan breathed out. “this is making me emotional.”

the boys agreed with him, turning their attention back to the laptop. nari quickly clicked play again.

the video showed her with the camera now, using it to see cheol pretending to eat. as she got up to clean his mouth, they suddenly were in the world inside the camera. the couple used that to eat and have fun, the little moment making them forget about the harsh reality behind the camera. while they had fun, the people behind them wouldn’t stop bugging and judging them, but they didn’t care about that — only about one another.

in the next scene they were in a clothing store, soon after appearing in wedding fits. nari with a beautiful dress while cheol had a tuxedo on, smiles on their faces as they were in a photo booth. still in the love filter world.

“you two looked so happy in that reality,” hoshi sighed.

“and the lyrics are so deep, it fits more with the video than i thought…” woozi said softly.

nari only smiled at that, watching the video while imagining their actual wedding – specially now that cheol was dismissed from enlisting due to his injury.

as the photos in the mv came out, instead of being ‘okay’ like in the love filter, they were bruised up like in the real world. cheol with his blind eye and nari still mute and deaf, but looking happy because they still had each other.

the pillow fight scenes and them on the stage singing made everyone smile, thinking how much this resembled the two in real life. as the couple got closer to sing in the mic, everyone ‘ooh’ed teasingly, the couple turning red from this.

in the middle of their fun on stage, the cube suddenly appeared in the restaurant’s door. the love filter disappearing as they ran away from the cube.

seungkwan sniffed. “why did it have to appear now!”

“why is this cube so annoying?”, jeonghan whined.

as the video showed through the cracked wall, everyone gasped at the sight of the many floating cubes and the destroyed city, together with the lyrics ‘destroy me slowly and chilly, ruiner’.

nari paused the video. “i don’t know if you guys got the message yet, but did you understand why we were running from the cube?”

most of them shook their heads to the girl, eager to know about the video’s villain.

“i won’t tell you just yet!”, they all whined. “but in the end i’ll talk about it.” and with that she unpaused the video.

the video came back with the couple in front of the clothes pile and the cube in front of them, nari had a bar in her hands which was quickly taken from her by cheol; who tried to destroy it but couldn’t. he ended up falling down and nari followed suit, holding him close to her as he held her hand in his chest. the couple knew there wasn’t any escape left for them, just accepting their fate and watching their last moments together.

“pause this! i need a moment!”, seungkwan mumbled. “i know this is not real, but seeing you two like this maked me so scared, noona.”

the woman got up slightly to hug him, comforting the boy with her words and actions.

“did you two just accept your fate then?” jun asked her while holding onto his chair.

she nodded, getting away from seungkwan to sit down again. “yeah, we are just accepting it now.”

with this they decided to watch the rest of the video without pausing anymore, just so nari could finally explain it to them.

as the cube turned red, nari looked down to cheol and covered his good eye with her hand so he wouldn’t watch it happening. the boys could all feel their eyes turn a bit glassy from this, some even shedding a tear or two. as the cube got closer they just held each other tighter, nari watching it all unfold in front of her face. before anything could happen the camera focused on the camcorder on the ground, which captured the couple’s last moments together — their feet slowly floating away from the ground as the cube slowly killed them. the camcorder turned black and slowly their clothes fell on top of the many other clothes on the pile.

“this was so sad…”, mingyu pouted.

“just remembering it makes me sad.” chan frowned.

“sorry for this then,” nari sheepishly replied. “i wanted something deep to represent the lyrics. i wrote them a long time ago, around 2021. it holds a lot of meaning to me and i wanted to release it when i was sure i was gonna have my happy ending.”

everyone nodded at her words, some of the boys pouting as they though back on the lyrics. they all knew she wrote it for cheol during their early start in the relationship as he had been by her side since the beginning. it all made so much sense to anyone who knew just a bit of their story, specially to those who understood what she meant by the ‘happy ending’ as they were going to get married.

“but what about the cube?” hoshi asked her.

“hi,  i’m  hero,  and  today  i’m  here  with  buzzfeed  to  read  your  thirst  tweets,”  he  waves  to  the  camera,  “now  i’ve  been  warned…  and  frankly,  i’m  scared  out  of  my  wits.  let’s  dive  into  this  pool  of  thirst!”  he  picks  up  the  first  tweet  from  the  pile,  dramatically  unfolding  it  like  a  top-secret  government  document.  

“i  actually  like  going  on  tiktok  to  look  for  my  edits  because  i  know  there’s  always  going  to  be  thirsty  fans  in  the  comments,”  hero  says,  laughing  as  he  explained,  “i  mean,  i  recently  found  one  edit  where  the  comments  were  just  off  the  wall.  first  time  i  saw  people  as  thirsty  as  that,  and  i’m  baffled.”

the  camera  zooms  on  his  face,  “are  you  guys  okay  out  there?”  

it  goes  back  to  normal  as  he  reads  out  the  first  tweet.  

'i  can’t  tell  if  hero  is  a  heavenly  angel  or  a  demonic  chaos  goblin,  but  either  way,  i’d  let  him  destroy  my  life.'

hero  immediately  starts  laughing,  almost  falling  back  in  his  chair.  “ah,  you  got  me!  i’m  actually  both.  a  chaotic  angel,  if  you  will.”  he  smirks  knowingly,  adjusting  his  imaginary  halo.  “but  don’t  blame  me  when  your  life  turns  into  a  k-drama.  i  can’t  control  what  happens  next.”  as  he  mimics  holding  a  halo  above  his  head,  he  suddenly  lets  it  'fall'  to  the  ground.

“oops,  there  goes  my  angelic  streak,”  he  says  with  a  monotone  voice.

he  picks  up  the  second  card  and  giggles,  “okay,  this  one  is  pretty  mild,  but  it  goes:  ‘hero  could  say  the  most  random  word,  and  i’d  melt  into  a  puddle  of  goo.  try  it.  say  potato,  i  dare  you.’”  taking  up  the  challenge,  he  smirks  mischievously,  leaning  closer  to  the  camera  as  it  zooms  on  his  face.  the  audio  quiets  down  as  he  whispers  'potato'  dramatically.  immediately  after,  he  bursts  into  laughter,  shaking  his  head.

“y’all  out  here  falling  for  that?  do  you  want  me  to  start  a  podcast  where  i  just  list  vegetables  and  fruits?  ‘cause  i’ll  do  it.”

the  following  tweet  comes  immediately  after,  and  hero  grasps  it  with  both  hands.

'every  time  hero  posts  a  new  photo,  my  standards  go  higher,  and  my  will  to  live  plummets.  is  that  what  they  call  balance?'

he  clutches  the  tweet  like  a  love  letter  to  his  chest,  looking  mockingly  emotional.

“wow,”  he  mutters,  “the  duality  of  this  tweet  is…  raising  your  standards  but  losing  your  will  to  live?  that’s  so  poetic.  i  might  put  this  in  my  next  album.”  turning  up  the  dramatics,  he  pretends  to  write  in  an  imaginary  notebook,  mouthing  the  words  'balance,  standard,  plummets.'

he  then  fake-nods  like  a  motivational  speaker.  “life  is  all  about  balance.  raise  your  standards,  but  don’t  forget  to  lower  your  expectations  for  me  in  real  life.  i’m  a  mess.”  he  says  the  last  sentence  as  he  throws  the  card  behind  him.

finally,  the  tweet  from  the  start  of  the  video  shows  up,  and  the  sentence  is  shown  again:  'hero  could  run  me  over  with  a  car,  and  i’d  thank  him  while  handing  over  my  life  savings…  just  saying!'

at  the  tweet,  he  grins  wide,  exaggerating  the  brightness  of  his  smile.  “you  want  this?”  the  smile  stays  on  his  face,  yet  his  eyes  widen  a  little,  and  if  you  look  closely,  it  might  remind  you  of  the  movie  smile.  “injected,  really?  that’s  a  lot  of  pressure!”

he  suddenly  puts  on  a  serious,  doctor-like  expression  (pushing  his  imaginary  glasses  and  everything),  pretending  to  write  a  prescription.  “take  one  smile  thrice  daily,  but  beware  of  side  effects.  they  may  include  thirst,  obsession  and  uncontrollable  laughter.”

'hero,  please  step  on  me.  no  explanation  is  needed.  just  do  it,  king.'

his  eyes  widen,  and  he  physically  recoils  from  the  tweet,  letting  it  fall  on  the  floor.  “step  on  you!?  are  you…  okay?”  his  expression  shows  concern,  but  his  eyes  also  have  a  teasing  glint.  “do  you  need  water?  a  hug?  therapy,  maybe!?”

he  lifts  his  foot  slightly,  showing  off  the  chunky  bottom  and  playfully  pointing  at  it,  “listen,  i’ve  got  big  feet,  and  the  shoes  are  thick  today.  i’m  doing  this  for  your  safety.”  he  nervously  laughs.  “also,  this  is  why  i  don’t  read  my  dms.”

'i  could  watch  hero  breathe  for  hours  and  still  think  it’s  the  most  attractive  thing  i’ve  ever  seen.  like  he  could  inhale,  and  i’d  disintegrate  like  thanos  snapped  his  fingers.'  

he  does  an  exaggerated  breathing  demonstration,  snapping  his  fingers  as  he  says,  “is  it  working  for  you?  are  you  disintegrating,  or  do  i  need  to  do  it  again?”  he  rambles  at  this  point,  “goodbye,  half  of  my  fandom.  it’s  been  real.”  he  laughs,  shaking  his  head.

“maybe  i  should  start  a  podcast  for  that  too.  call  it  ‘sleeping  with  hero’.”  as  soon  as  he  said  that,  the  realisation  was  shown  on  his  face,  “actually,  no,  i  take  it  back!  don’t  you  dare  put  this  clip  in  the  video!”  he  panics,  grabbing  his  face,  and  the  words  ‘(we  did.)’  show  up  in  that  second.

'hero  is  the  human  embodiment  of  i  can  fix  him,  but  let’s  be  honest,  i’m  the  one  who  needs  fixing.'  he  immediately  points  at  the  camera,  “you’re  right,  i  am  unfixable.  but  i’m  available  for  emotional  support…  maybe.  only  if  there’s  food  involved–  not  in  that  way,  you  perverts!”  hero  quickly  blurts  out  as  there’s  laughing  behind  the  camera.

he  leans  back,  flipping  his  short  hair,  “expensive  cologne  and  heartbreak?  i’ll  take  it.  also,  my  scent  is  called  ‘mind  your  business  by  hero.’”  a  laugh  quickly  comes  out  of  him,  and  he  has  to  take  a  natural  breath  to  continue,  “but  for  real,  it’s  probably  just  my  laundry  detergent.  shout  out  to  my  washing  machine,”  he  clicks  his  fingers  and  winks  to  the  camera.

'if  hero  ever  stood  on  my  neck,  i’d  thank  him  for  the  honour  and  ask  for  an  encore.'

he  dramatically  gasps,  holding  his  neck  as  if  he  can  physically  feel  it.  “why  are  y’all  so  violent!?”  standing  up  from  his  chair,  his  arms  fly  around  as  he  gets  deep  into  the  tweet.  “standing  on  your  neck!?  what  did  your  neck  ever  do  to  you?”

he  pauses  and  sits  down,  squinting  at  the  camera,  “also,  what  does  an  encore  even  look  like  in  this  situation?  do  i  step  off  and  then  step  back  on?  i  need  answers.”  he’s  far  deep  now.

'i  don’t  want  hero  to  be  my  boyfriend.  i  want  him  to  be  my  enemy  so  we  can  have  dramatic  tension  and  eventually  fall  in  love  in  a  slow-burn  romance.'

hero  places  the  card  down  slowly,  giving  the  camera  an  impressed  look.  “i  mean,  i  mentioned  k-drama  moments  just  now,  but  this  takes  the  top.”  he  looks  down  at  the  tweet  again,  “whoever  wrote  this  has  been  watching  way  too  many  shows.  but  honestly?”  he  leans  towards  the  camera,  “you’ve  got  me  intrigued  now.  what’s  the  plot?  where’s  the  script?  i  need  a  sixteen-episode  outline  on  my  desk  by  tomorrow.”

“and  it  better  be  good,”  he  playfully  threatens.

he  touches  his  jaw  dramatically  at  the  question,  pretending  to  cut  himself  on  its  sharpness,  “a  weapon  of  mass  destruction?  so,  just  like  my  muscles?”  he  flexes  again,  but  it’s  not  noticeable  because  of  the  hoodie.

“don’t  worry,”  he  leans  in,  “i’m  only  dangerous  if  you’re…  weak.”  he  bursts  into  laughter,  waving  his  hands.  “i  can’t  even  say  that  with  a  straight  face!”

'hero’s  hands  look  like  they  belong  on  an  album  cover.  can  he  just  hold  my  entire  existence  instead?'

he  holds  up  his  hands,  wiggling  his  fingers,  “these  hands?  album-cover  hands?  i  mean,  thank  you,  but  also,  you really trust me with your existence?”  he  pauses,  staring  at  his  hands  thoughtfully,  “but  i’ll  consider  it  if  i  ever  release  a  ‘holding  your  existence’  concept  album.”

he  snorts,  barely  containing  his  laughter,  “the  universe  has  a  complaints  department?  what’s  the  number?  i  need  to  call  them  about  my  life  too.”  he  mocks  a  serious  expression,  “also,  ruining  lives  is  a  big  responsibility.  can  i  start  small,  like  misplacing  your  phone  charger?  or  if  you  can  come  to  my  concert,  the  tickets  for  my  world  tour  will  go  live  soon,  then  i  will  ruin  your  life!”  he  shamelessly  promotes,  winking  to  the  camera.

'i  bet  hero’s  the  type  to  steal  your  hoodie  and  look  better  than  you  ever  could.  and  i’m  okay  with  that.'  

he  laughs,  nodding  with  the  tweet  as  he  pinches  at  the  shoulder  of  his  hoodie,  “okay,  first  of  all,  facts.  i  will  look  better  in  it.  second,  don’t  let  me  near  your  closet  because  i’m  not  just  stealing  hoodies–  i’m  taking  the  whole  wardrobe.”

'hero’s  thighs  could  crush  watermelons,  and  honestly,  i’m  volunteering  to  be  the  watermelon!'

hero  freezes,  face  in  his  hands,  as  he  tries  not  to  laugh.  “y’all?  a  watermelon!?  is  this  where  we  are  now?  i  don’t  even  work  out  that  much!”  ‘(that’s  a  lie.)’  is  shown  on  the  screen  as  he  stands  up,  pretending  to  flex  his  legs.  “but  thank  you  for  the  confidence  boost.  i’ll  be  thinking  about  this  every  leg  day  now.”

'hero  could  tell  me  my  haircut  looks  like  a  mop,  and  i’d  thank  him  for  noticing.'

he  reads  the  tweet  twice,  blinking  in  disbelief,  “first  of  all,  your  haircut  doesn’t  look  like  a  mop…  probably.  second,  why  are  y’all  thanking  me  for  hypothetical  insults?  should  i  just  start  roasting  everyone?”  he  pretends  to  scold  the  camera,  “your  socks  don’t  match.  you  look  tired;  you  drink  too  much  iced  coffee.”

satisfied,  he  leans  back  in  the  chair,  laughing,  “okay,  i’m  done.  you  are  wild.”

'i  want  hero  to  dropkick  me  into  the  sun,  and  i’ll  thank  him  for  the  free  vacation.'  

“dropkick  you  into  the  sun?  i  mean,  i  appreciate  the  faith  in  me.”  he  pretends  to  stretch  his  legs,  “also,  free  vacation?  you’re  not  coming  back  from  that,  bestie.  permanent  vacation.”

'if  hero  sneezed  in  my  direction,  i’d  frame  the  germs  and  hang  them  on  my  wall  like  art.'

She cleared her throat, “To the thirty-nine year old Doi Mizuki watching this, I hope you have the family you’ve always wished you had. I genuinely cannot believe I managed to marry the love of my life.”

Mizuki remained quiet as she thought more but ultimately nodded. “I have nothing else to say but I genuinely hope you are happy with our own little family. See you later!”

( 😇 ) : “Ah.. in ten years. Well, do we have any kids? If we do, how many?” Jeonghan paused before smiling to himself, “it shouldn’t matter but I hope I have the family I’ve wanted to have for a while now..”

Jeonghan mumbled a few things about what would Mizuki say but nevertheless he ended it with “I plan to live the remaining years of my life with her and hopefully by then, we’ll be more comfortable with cameras and our fans, of course.”

             HER HAND trembled as her stylist began to fix her hair. Today was one of the important days in her life and it marked the beginning of a new family blossoming. Looking down at her hands, the missing engagement ring reminded her that it was finally time. She wondered if her fiancé had the same questions or thoughts she did at that moment.

The stylist pulled away from her hair to view everything almost pieced together. Calling out Mizuki’s name, the pair made their way towards the lengthen mirror to doll up Mizuki in her dress. One by one, Mizuki felt the accessories begin to transform her to the soon-to-be bride.

             HIS GAZE was kept on the boutonnière pinned on his suit. The recently brown sprayed hair contrasted with how he felt inside. Not so long ago he was performing with his members, but he looked so different then. He knew his time was coming up and he couldn’t leave his damsel in distress alone.

He swore to himself that he would marry the love of live before he enlisted and that day was here. Jeonghan wondered what he would be feeling seeing his bride walk down the aisle. His mother would always calm his worries, stating that she would look undoubtedly beautiful; yet the images that flooded Jeonghan’s memory would leave him flustered.

             THEY BOTH had seen each other in their wedding attire for the wedding photos, yet the nervous feeling kept creeping down their backs. Nevertheless, when both of them were getting ready, all they could think about was seeing each other.

The pair went through the smallest details and soon enough they found themselves ready at their designated spots. The venue was filled with their loved ones, close friends, and ultimately, their members. Their practice dinner with the rest of Seventeen had left them wiping tears from their eyes.

             AS JEONGHAN began to make his way towards the alter and the officiant, he suddenly realized this would be one of the chapters he would be closing before enlisting. He glanced at the tables where everyone resided; though what he thought that was the most important at the moment were his “best men”— to say the least— cheering him on from their own two tables.

The venue’s theme of white flowed throughout the striking brown venue. The lights slightly began to dim as the crowd’s attention was faced towards the door behind them. Jeonghan stared at the door opening and saw Mizuki standing in her all white dress, with her father next to her.

             AS MIZUKI stood in place ready for the signal to move, her heart seemed to stop and resume while seeing her soon-to-be husband. She knew she only had around two weeks left with him, but Mizuki wanted to make this the perfect wedding day— not only for Jeonghan and the crowd, but for her inner child who dreamed for a wedding like this. Linking her arms with her step-father, both of them had taken a glance at each other. Her father’s brown eyes had begun to water as this would make it official that his daughter wasn’t the little girl he knew.

The familiar melody rang through Mizuki’s ears as she faced towards where Jeonghan stood. Walking down the aisle, Mizuki felt her eyes water with each step she took. She finally stood face to face with the love of her life and she felt emotional as she finally stood here with him in the attire.

             THE CROWD settled down and their focused was placed onto the couple in-front of them. The music had softly died down and the officiant began the ceremony. Just like any other regular wedding speech, the officiant went on and on about the pair. They cleared their throat and then the door was opened to Mizuki’s younger cousins with the rings.

Everyone had “awwed” at the sight of the two little girls and how adorable they were. Mizuki had slightly laughed at how serious they were about making sure the rings weren’t going to fall. Yet once the girls had made it to the couple, Jeonghan saw the sparkling rings and how it had slightly lit up his fiancée’s face. The girls had handed the pair their respective rings and waddled off to the side with Mizuki’s aunt.

             THE OFFICIANT began once again, yet this time, they allowed the couple to being their vows.

“WHEN I saw you for the first time, I knew I was going to have a hard time getting over you. We were so young then but I had already had a crush on you. It’s kind of embarrassing to admit it in front of everyone but I have no reason to deny how I felt about you for the first time.” Jeonghan took a deep breath before continuing. “I had told Seungcheol and Joshua about my feelings before telling you first, and to say that they had a good plan.. well, let’s just leave it at that. Yet, you accepted my feelings and returned the feelings back as well.” He paused before collecting himself from the tears threatening to fall down. “From your friend, boyfriend, fiancé, and now to your husband, I plan to spend every day loving you.”

From hearing those words, Mizuki felt her eyes fill up with tears. Thankfully with the veil covering her face, people had managed to not see how emotional she was becoming. The beginning and the end of his vow left her staring right back at Jeonghan. The officiant signaled to Mizuki to continue her side.

“I’m not sure how I will be able to top that vow, but.. here’s mine.” Mizuki opened the paper containing her vows. “When you first introduced yourself to me, I knew we would be friends right away. When you first spoke to me in Japanese, I knew I had fallen for you. Was it because of how much time and effort you did in order to learn my mother tongue?” She paused before continuing, “For a second, I had thought you learned it for the fans, yet when you spoke to my family in that same language, I knew I couldn’t let you go. From waking up to going to bed, sometimes you were everything I could think about. Thankfully, I wasn’t the only one thinking that.” Mizuki smiled as she continued. “You have been one of my best friends for the longest time and now with this commitment, I'm sure we will be able to move forward together. I, Doi Mizuki, promise to love you now, in the future, and so forth."

             THE CROWD remained silent but once Seventeen began clapping and cheering, the rest followed. The pair laughed at how crowd followed behind their members. The officiant cleared his throat, once again this poor old man, and started the final nail in the coffin. "Mister Yoon Jeonghan, do you take this lovely lady to be your wife?"

A silence filled the air until Jeonghan spoke those words everyone wanted to hear, "Yes."

"Miss Doi Mizuki, do you take this gentleman to be your husband?"

"Yes." Mizuki said it out loud without missing a beat, which caused some people to laugh at how quick she was to do it.

"Well then, I believe that includes this marriage ceremony. Please wish the now married couple the best!"

ATEEZ brags about their maknae

Jieun giggled in her seat, quietly listening as both ATEEZ and Oneus continued to brag about every little thing in an attempt to one-up each other. Her members were competitive by nature, and it was entertaining to see that competitiveness only grow stronger with every minute that passed. 

“There’s one more thing that we’re really proud of,” Wooyoung said, raising his hand. A mischievous smirk spread across his face as everyone turned to him. “Our maknae, Jieun. No other group has her.�� 

The girl’s eyes widened at his sudden declaration, her jaw hanging open as she stared at him in shock.  

Yunho was quick to chime in. Almost too quick. “Wooyoung’s right. Jieunie has main or lead positions in dance, vocal and rap.” 

“She also helps in the production of our songs and contributes lyrics,” Mingi said with a grin. 

“And she’s really smart,” Yeosang added. “We hung up one of her tests on the fridge because she got a perfect score.” 

Jieun, whose expression had quickly morphed from amusement to horror the moment her members started to brag about her, covered her face with both hands. She shook her head, cringing as the members of Oneus started applauding her.  

“Did you guys plan this beforehand?” she asked, turning to her members and peering at them through her fingers. They giggled at the clear blush that had started to spread across her face, neck and ears. “Oh my god.” 

“Jieun, would you consider yourself to be ATEEZ’s ace?” Saeho asked.  

She slowly lowered her hands, fanning herself as she let out a flustered laugh. “I think that all the members have their own strengths, and the reason why we work so well as a team is because everyone fits in like puzzle pieces to make the group complete. That’s why our introduction is 9 makes 1 team.” 

“Wow, she’s even humble too,” Kwanghee said, causing the members to burst into laughter at Jieun’s expense. Mortified, she buried her face into her hands once more.  

“Hey, why don’t you guys brag about me like that?” Xion asked with a pout, his members laughing along. 

“I hate you guys,” Jieun grumbled as the members gave her light shakes or pats on the back. 

San grinned. “We love you too.”

Jieun can’t get a word in  

“We heard that Jieun is the most secretive member,” Saeho said, causing a few of the members to giggle as they nodded in agreement. Jieun’s eyebrows raised at the sudden exposure. 

“That’s true,” Yunho said, nodding. “She doesn’t speak much.” 

“Jieunie was the second one to join the company after me,” Hongjoong explained. “So when everyone else started joining the company, she wouldn’t speak at all. It took her over weeks to start talking to some of them, even after I introduced her.” Everyone else nodded in agreement except Jieun, whose hand blocked the flustered smile spread across her face. 

“It’s really hard to get her to open up,” Yeosang added. “I can understand not wanting to talk about your feelings, but she doesn’t tell us anything about herself!” 

San raised his hand before speaking. “Yeah, we didn’t even know she had a brother until right before we debuted.” Wooyoung’s jaw dropped.

“She has a brother?” 

At this, the studio erupted into laughter. Wooyoung turned his body from the camera to hide the smirk rising on his face while Jieun remained seated, her smile a tight line. 

“Jieun! Is it because you don’t trust your members? Why don’t you tell them anything?” Changhee scolded, amusement evident in his expression. The girl sighed and shook her head, but before she could respond, Jongho spoke up.

“I don’t think it’s because she doesn’t trust us, she just doesn’t like having a lot of attention on herself.” 

Jieun opened her mouth to speak, but Seonghwa added, “Especially in group settings, she tends to become a lot quieter because there can be a lot of overlap.” 

Kwanghee glanced between the members before looking at his fellow MCs.

“Maybe Jieun doesn’t talk much because everyone else keeps talking over her,” he said. The members let out sheepish laughs while Jieun smiled, awkwardly shifting in her seat. “I just watched her try to say something and get interrupted twice.” 

Seonghwa turned to the girl and tilted his head apologetically, Jongho following afterwards. Jieun chuckled as she waved them off before turning to the MCs. 

“They’re right, though. In group settings, I usually let other people speak before I do, so by the time it’s my turn, I have nothing left to add.” She looked over at Jongho and motioned toward the boy. “Jongho-oppa was right too. Having attention is inevitable because I’m an idol, but I prefer to just do my own thing off-camera.”

The three MCs all nodded in understanding.

“It seems like Jieun’s members know her really well,” Saeho commented. “But we’re going to put their knowledge to the test with the Jieun Game!”

The studio was set up so that Jieun was placed on the opposite side from the rest of the members, a couple placards in hand. The game was simple: Jieun would ask the members questions about herself that she had pre-written before filming began. All they had to do was get three out of five questions correct to win the game. 

Although it seemed easy at first, the questions proved a challenge to her members, as they’d already gotten two wrong. They were on the final question, and if they got this one incorrect, they would lose the whole game. 

Jieun looked down at the placard and winced, noticing the production team had left the most difficult question for last. She glanced up at her members, all of whom wore nervous expressions as they awaited the final question. 

“If I could go back in time and change one thing about my past, what would it be?” 

A silence fell over the members as they looked around at each other for the answer. However, Hongjoong immediately put his hand up, waiting to be called upon.

“Yes, Hongjoong?” Everyone looked at the boy expectantly.

“That’s a trick question,” he announced confidently. “If she could go back, she wouldn’t change anything.” 

The room came to standstill at his answer, all eyes turning to Jieun. She held an unreadable expression that caused some of them to deflate. After a few seconds, however, a smile spread across the girl’s face as she nodded. 

“That’s correct.” 

Triumphant cheers exploded throughout the room as the members jumped up from the seats, some of them shaking Hongjoong in excitement while others ran circles around the room. One of the latter was Mingi, who ran one lap around the studio before running up to Jieun and swiftly picking the girl up. She laughed as he spun her around bridal-style before carefully letting her down. 

“Really, Jieun? You wouldn’t change anything?” 

She shook her head. “All the choices that I made before are what made me who I am, and I like who I am now, so I wouldn’t want to change anything.” 

“Ah, because if you changed one thing, then your whole life could’ve been different.” Changhee nodded in understanding. 

“It’s crazy to think about, but if I hadn’t wanted to eat ice cream on my birthday, I don’t think I’d be a member of ATEEZ.” Seeing her members’ surprised expressions, Jieun raised her eyebrows. “Oh, I don’t think I’ve ever told this story. After I ate dinner with my family, my older brother and I went to the convenience store for ice cream even though it was the middle of winter, and that’s where I got scouted by a company staff member.” 

“Wow, so it was like fate brought you to KQ,” Kwanghee commented. 

Jieun looked over at her members, all of whom had calmed down and were now giving her their undivided attention. A warm smile made its way onto her face as she nodded, not taking her eyes off of them. 

“Yeah, it really was.”

Hug Me

Jieun walked to the front, eyes scanning over each card before carefully taking one. She read over the question, eyebrows raising slightly, and turned the card so the camera could see what was written.

‘During an emergency, you’re who I DON’T call.’

She nodded, trying to keep her expression neutral as she walked back and handed the card to the MCs. Jieun turned to the members, her gaze passing over each of them as she crossed her arms. 

“Alright, Jieun. Go to a member and hug them from behind.” 

A conflicted expression spread across her face as she glanced from the MCs to the members. 

“I don’t want this person to feel bad though,” she said, causing a few members to tense up. 

“It’s that bad?” Seonghwa asked, smiling nervously. Jieun scrunched her face slightly, though she shook her head. 

“I just think it can be easily misinterpreted, but from how I’m thinking about it, it’s not that bad.” 

Jieun spent a couple more seconds staring at her members, letting out a small huff. She began making her way toward them, passing by each member slowly and pacing back and forth. After a few more moments of deliberation, she stopped behind her chosen member. 

“Sorry, Sannie-oppa,” she apologized as she hesitantly wrapped her arms around him. San’s jaw dropped as she hugged him, his eyebrows raising. 

“Me?” he asked, pointing at himself.  

Jieun let out an awkward chuckle as she went back to her seat, conveniently beside San. “It’s not that I don’t trust him, but it’s more that he’s someone I want to protect, so I don’t think he would be the best in that kind of situation.” 

“The most sensitive member?” Yeosang guessed. Jieun shook her head in response.  

“You said something about a specific situation,” Jongho said, arms crossed. “Like if an accident happened?” 

Jieun’s lips formed an “ooo” shape as she nodded at him. “You’re close.” 

“The person you wouldn’t call in an emergency?” 

Once Jieun confirmed the answer, San turned to her with a fake hurt expression, putting a hand to his heart. She sighed as she gestured toward him. 

“Like I said before, it’s not because I don’t trust him. When we were trainees, we used to always talk about our worries with each other.” 

“But not now, right?” Wooyoung asked, cheekily grinning. The others laughed, though Jieun shook her head again.  

“Sannie-oppa worries about me a lot. I think that if I called him and told him that there was an emergency, he would become really distraught,” she explained. 

“Ah, so it’s more like you don’t want to burden him because you know he’ll be hurt for you,” Hongjoong said in understanding.  

Jieun nodded at the leader before looking back to San, who stared at her with a small pout on his face. She mimicked his expression, the two staring at each other for a few seconds before both burst into grins. 

As they moved onto the next question, San reached toward Jieun and grabbed the girl’s hand, gently squeezing. She looked over at him with a questioning gaze as he blinked at her, his expression speaking volumes. 

I’ll always be here when you need me. 

Jieun blinked back at him, a soft smile making its way onto her face.

*at her grandmothers house* “ah ! what a surprise” her grandmother let the two into the house. “he’s so handsome.” the boy gush bashfully. “thank you.” her grandmother tapped his cheeks. “such a polite young man.” keiko laughed , hugging the older woman. “grandma , you’re ruining his image.” she said. “i will stop for now , come sit and eat.” she guided you back to the eating area. “are you guys staying ?” she filled the table with different foods. “only for the day , we leave tomorrow.” keiko said , wonbin peeling the shrimp , putting it on her plate. “will you go visit the ramen shop your grandfather took me to on our first date , i think you two should go.” keiko blushed , covering her face. “grandma.” she whined. “you can’t say that.” she stressed. “what , it’s a cute date stop.” the girl was stressed , wonbin laughed feeding into the ladies antics. “we’ll go before we leave tomorrow.” keiko slapped his arm , he laughed , placing another shrimp in her plate. “it will be fun no? let’s go okay.”

“what are you doing?” shotaro asked the girl. “oh i downloaded a dress up game on my switch.” she said showing him. “it was 20 dollars.” shotaro tried to justify that price in his head as wonbin came over. “im tired.” he said , laying down on the couch , putting his head on her thighs. “go to sleep.” she raked her fingers through his hair , he smiled up at her , it was cute — shotaro on the other hand , quickly sat up so the camera couldn’t see them , keiko laughed at how fast he moved. he giggled , standing up to find somewhere else to film. “ah stress.” he said through a smile.

“come here.” wonbin beckoned the girl over. “no im upset with you right now.” he smiled at the stubborn girl. “i said i was sorry , why can’t you forgive me.” she ignored him. “you’re being stubborn.” he stood up , walking over to her. “no don’t.” he was already laying on top of her. “get off of me.” she huffed. “say your forgive me.” he said . “i’ll get you a new charger i promise.” he said wrapping his arms around her. “I’ll order one as soon as i can.” he pouted. “please forgot me.” *caption in video: friends making up quickly* even the camera had to cut to the next clip.

wonbin sat on the couch , stringing along on his guitar — when he heard a familiar knock pattern , he immediately smiled. “it’s keiko” he said full of joy ; the door opening up. “the camera is on.” he called her over , patting the seat next to her. “sit down.” she sat down , smiling putting her knees up to her chest. “i went to the store today with sohee and i got these.” she said showing her fake tattoos. “i thought they would be cool.” wonbin smiled to himself while she talked , stringing his . “i have my own , but these are so cool.” she then went on to tell the camera every single thing she got that day while shopping. “do you want to see?” the boy nodded , she got up. “i’ll be back.”

after Seventeen's first major win, Suin's generosity as a leader shone through when she gifted the members a brand-new dorm, a gesture that left them feeling deeply grateful and further reinforced their bond. The Seventeen boys, in turn, have a playful habit of affectionately referring to Suin as "noona" and gravitating towards her, seeking her guidance and protection.

the boys were obsessed with the glory (her kdrama), they'd binge it and constantly make references to it during going seventeen, even reenacting scenes during lives, concerts, or going seventeen.

they did express their heartbreak and struggle to watch the more intense scenes that involved suin's character dongeun, ex. scenes with her mother

but they were so mesmerised by all her confrontation scenes, where she would confront yeonjin or sara

jeonghan even told carats that she used to iron their school shirts for them

dino and seungkwan said that, there was one time, she sercretly replaced their school shoes when she noticed they were getting too old and worn out, they pretended they didnt notice but they were so touched by her actions

she is the best going seventeen player (?), she somehow wins a majority of the time, she's very sneaky, especially when she teams up with jeonghan

to the point where, svt members will beg for mercy if they ever paired up

and the staff knows so they started seperating them

cause there was a time when suin even played the staff and producers

suin loves to knit, crochet, and craft

so she often makes the boys small gifts, such as, winter gloves, hats, or scarves

to the point that, they will brag to each other about her gifts

one time mingyu, came to her, pouting and sulking that dk got a scarf and he didnt (even though she made him a whole ass sweater)

according to suin, he followed her around like a duckling while she made him a scarf after he begged for one (he even asked if it could be cooler than dk's)

this also made dk sulky

so eventually just made them matching scarves so theyd stop fighting

she even made seungcheol a bucket hat after hoshi stole his, which he promptly shoved in hoshis face "HA! she made ME a hat!"

(which made hoshi a lil jealous)

she also listens to fan suggestions, such as makin woozi a rice ball hat, or wonwoo cat ears for his headphones (she also makes the member's pets gifts too)

also the members openly brag on interviews that, for special days like birthdays or when they release a solo, suin hands them her black credit card to spend on something they want

she also does this to the other idols under her entertainment. she'll hand ateez and aespa her black card when they have a win, achievement, birthday, or once hongjoong said she just randomly gave him and the members her black card on a random day saying "you all worked so hard these days, go and eat alot of meat okay?"

she booked an all expense paid trip for a relaxing spa vacation for ateez after their coachella performances

and yes she'd also make handmade gifts for ateez and aespa

but lets keep in mind

although suin is considered soft to her members n others

she is still pretty strict

ateez said that, she still will push them to be ambitious, and aim higher but be humble

a mindset she has engraved into seventeen

"did i teach you to dream small? no. never underestimate what you can do."

and svt members said they were so grateful that she didnt spoil them, especially when they werent popular, that created a mindset that push them to work hard

a treatment she did for ateez and aespa too, she never spoiled them. she told them she will never give them handouts, that everything has to be earned

if they wanted to be successful she will not, and refuse to make them famous, they have to do that on their own. through their own ambition, determination, drive, and grit.

but of course she always made sure to remind svt, atz, aespa to remember what they were doing all of this for

fans yes, but also do it for yourself.

many have praised her for this mindset. and source this as the root of why all groups under her management are successful yet humble, as they have built their own success.

suin is svt's number one supporter

she push her members to pursue what they want, especially regarding their career

she has always wanted jun to pursue acting, but he's backed out due to svt activities

but when she saw the opportunity, she told him to take it immediately.

she was the one to propose the members start doing solo activites

seventeen were the entertainers for kyungsoo and suin's wedding

svt, exo, btob, sang and hosted the wedding

and of course there was a dance battle between ateez, svt, aespa, exo, btob, and taemin

there was even a secret performance where they all did a dance routine for suin, covering her history of songs

btob specially asked to do all her sexy songs

day6 were the musicans for when suin walked down the aisle

hongjoong and woozi worked together to produce a song for them, with the lyrical help of everyone

they even shot a short film for them, clips of suin n kyungsoo, but also with the others

suin and woozi have dedicated songs to the members:

during game caterers, hoshi said that, one time, hoshi found suin's wallet and found pictures of the members in it, but not just their pictures, it even had some of their baby photos (she was very embarassed) they teased her endlessly, saying she really was a grandmother

then dokyeom added that, now they would even print out new photos for her to update her wallet

suin has a habit of caressing their face or hair, especially pinches their faces, she loves to do it to the older members because they dont get that treatment and only the younger ones get it

u guys know how sometimes babies or pets wuld stare at their parents while they do stuff (just cuz their curious or clingly), yeah, they do that to her

one time, dino just sat in the corner of her hotel room, while she did a live, he didn't say anything he just sat and watched her, when asked he said "i just wanted to be with you" (aww)

however, when asked, suin said that mingyu is her giant child, and coups is her sulky child

however a running gag is that whenever the boys do something sexy (such as go shirtless, etc.) when they realise suin is watching they get embarassed and run away "it feels like my mom is watching me.."
