Ford aterriza en el Dakar con equipo oficial

Ford contará con un equipo oficial en el Dakar 2024 con el objetivo de pelear la victoria general al año siguiente en 2025. El proyecto será realizado en conjunto por Neil Woolridge Motorsport en Sudáfrica y M-Sport en Reino Unido.

Para la edición 2024, Ford presentará una versión mejorada de la Ranger V6 que corre en el Campeonato Sudafricano de Rally Raid, que se encuentra adaptada a la normativa T1+ y usa un motor EcoBoost 3.5 litros. Sin embargo el objetivo en 2024 es exploratorio y para formar experiencia terminando la carrera, para correr con un prototipo nuevo y con mayores prestaciones en 2025, donde si esperan batallar por la victoria.

No se anunciaron pilotos pero suena fuerte Lance Woolridge, la carta fuerte del equipo Sudafricano y Nani Roma.

The car is one of three based on the recreations seen in the 1986 film 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' and constructed using hand-rolled aluminium sheet metal. Mobius flirting like its a side quest.

He casually drops absolute devastation in the middle of a perfectly normal conversation and then continues on with his day.

Mobius Just slides in a “Y’know, I should put you in my case files under ‘divine mischief,’ since you seem to specialize in being all over me.” while sipping his coffee like it’s nothing.

He says the filthiest things like they’re just observations. No heated voice, no dramatic delivery, just a casual, “You’re real easy to rile up, huh? Wonder if that carries over in…other areas.” and Loki has to physically leave the room.

He’s so good at sneaking innuendos into normal conversations. And it’s never the obvious ones, it’s the subtle ones that take Loki an extra half-second to process.

Lucas Moraes parte al frente en la Baja Aragón, buen desempeño de Ford y pérdida de tiempo de Audi

El brasileño Lucas Moraes partió con el pie derecho la Baja Aragón 2023 al quedarse con el primer puesto luego de la actividad del viernes en Teruel por delante de una grilla cargada de figuras del rally raid. Al final del prólogo y la primera especial, Moraes anotó un tiempo de 2 horas, 12 minutos y 4 segundos para liderar el rally por 21.2 segundos sobre Nasser Al-Attiyah en otra Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1+. En la tercera posición aparece Joao Ferreira con MINI.

Fue un buen debut para la Ford Ranger T1+ de M-Sport y Neil Woolridge Motorsport que hará su gran aterrizaje en el próximo Dakar. Con Nani Roma al volante, el equipo Ford consiguió un sexto puesto a 3 minutos y 18 segundos de la punta.

Quienes parecía iban a tener un día más competitivo fueron los pilotos de Audi. Con estructura completa en Aragón, lo mejor que pudo hacer la marca de los cuatro anillos fue el séptimo puesto de Stephane Peterhansel a 7:44. Carlos Sainz fue P10 y Mattias Ekstrom fue P11 a más de 8 minutos.

Guillaume de Mevius ganó la clase T3 y Tosha Schareina continúa su buena temporada liderando sobre Lorenzo Santolino en las motos.

Mañana se disputarán las dos últimas especiales de la Baja Aragón con casi 330 kilómetros de carrera.
