1972 Chevrolet Corvette
The 1972 Chevrolet Corvette occupies a unique space in Corvette history. Representing a transitional year, it embodied the classic Corvette design enthusiasts know and love, while adapting to the emerging environmental regulations of the era.
Performance with Refinement:
While earlier Corvettes were renowned for their unbridled horsepower, the 1972 model reflected a shift towards a more balanced approach. A new SAE net rating system, implemented due to stricter emission controls, replaced the previous SAE gross horsepower ratings. The base engine, a 350 cubic inch V8, produced 255 horsepower (SAE net). For drivers seeking a sportier experience, the optional LT-1 offered the same engine displacement but with a focus on higher performance, also rated at 255 horsepower (SAE net). A 4-speed manual transmission remained standard, with a smooth Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic available for those who preferred a more comfortable driving experience.
**A Farewell to Chrome:**
The 1972 Corvette marked the final year for the car's iconic chrome bumpers. Subsequent models would adopt integrated bumpers to comply with evolving safety standards. This detail adds a touch of historical significance to the 1972 model for collectors who appreciate the car's place in Corvette's design lineage.
**Enduring Style:**
Despite the horsepower adjustments, the 1972 Corvette retained the classic Corvette silhouette that has captivated generations. Offered with a retractable fiberglass hardtop or a removable convertible top, the car continued to deliver the open-air exhilaration Corvette enthusiasts crave. Customization options like a tilt and telescopic steering wheel further enhanced the driving experience.
**A Collectible for the Discerning:**
The 1972 Corvette, particularly the LT-1 variant, holds a special place in the hearts of collectors. While horsepower figures may not match those of earlier models, the car represents a significant chapter in Corvette's evolution and offers a unique blend of classic design and historical significance. The value of a 1972 Corvette can vary depending on factors like condition, mileage, and options.

Blue and Fire Engine Red, Pt 2
Kara shuts the door of her car shut behind her, and smoothes her sweating palms down the front of her jeans. She should have stayed in uniform, she thinks. She’s no longer on shift, but she always feels more confident with a badge pinned to her chest. As it is, wearing jeans and a tee shirt, she feels exposed, as though anyone looking at her would be able to see just how fast her heart is racing.
But she’s come this far-- she can see this through. Exhaling deeply, Kara starts the short walk up the drive to the firehouse’s open bay doors. As she crosses the threshold sounds of activity fills her ears. She glimpses firefighters rolling hoses and mounting them on the engine, and others are buffing the chrome bumper of the ambulance. She catches the eye of one, she thinks she recognizes him from multiple calls– Brainy, she’s heard the others call him. He brightens at the sight of her, and to her horror comes trotting over to greet her.
“You are approximately 32 minutes late, Sergeant Danvers,” he says precisely. He clasps his hands behind his back.
“I–I’m sorry?” Kara asks. She hadn’t told anyone she was coming, let alone what time she planned to show up.
“Since I glimpsed you conversing with Lieutenant Reilly, I anticipated you would seek her out. Seeing as your shift ended one hour ago, and the precinct is 30 minutes from the firehouse, you are, by my calculations, late.”
Kara blinks. “There was traffic on the freeway… how did you–?”
“The lieutenant can be found in the gym,” Brainy clips, extending an arm towards the far corner of the engine bay. There, Kara glimpses a glass paneled wall and the outline of a pull-down machine.
“Thank you,” Kara issues numbly.
“You are most welcome.” Brainy then turns and returns to the ambulance and his chores. By now Kara’s thundering heart has climbed to her throat, but it;s too late to back out now that she’s been seen.
Kara wipes her palms again, nodding to herself. “You can do this,” she murmurs. “Look sharp, Danvers.”
Kara follows the hum treadmills and the clink of weights to the back right corner, where a glass paneled room sat under the spiraling staircase up to the second floor. There she stops, mesmerized by a dark swinging ponytail. Lena.
Lena running.
Lena running in a tank top and spandex shorts. Muscled arms swing in rhythm with her bobbing head, and Kara can glimpse round earbuds nestled in her ears.
She almost turns away, if only to keep from getting caught ogling. But a sweaty towel smacks Lena in the side of the head, pulling her attention to the young woman smirking off to Kara’s left. Nia, is it?
“Got a visitor, LT!”
Lena’s head swivels towards Kara without breaking stride. Her sweaty features brighten at the sight of her.
“Sergeant Danvers!” she chirps. She hops onto the strats of the treadmill, taking a moment to tap the machine off before stepping down entirely. She uses Nia’s towel to wipe her glistening face and neck, her breath huffing lightly. Kara’s mouth goes dry. “I was beginning to think you weren’t coming.”
Kara blinks, giving herself a little shake to re-orientate herself. Then she gives as easy a grin as she can manage. “And give up a free autograph? Not on your life.”
A smirk crosses Lena’s features as Nia steps up to stand at her shoulder. “Autograph?”
Kara plucks her calendar from her bag, giving it a playful flourish. Nia’s brow furrows, then lifts in delight.
“Oh my god! Miss March has a fan?!”
Lena turns towards her coworker with a roll of her eyes. “Nal…”
“Yeah?”
“Give us a minute, will you?”
“But–!”
“Nia.”
Nia sighs. “Fiiiiine…” She grabs her water and phone from beside the weight bench, and all but prances out with a smug, knowing smile in Kara’s direction. “Nice seeing you, Sergeant.”
They wait until Nia slips out, leaning them together with nothing but charged air between them. Kara gazes at Lena, who gives a soft smile in return. “Hey.”
“Hey,” Lena smiles back. Her cheeks are flushed, and Kara feels a glimmer of satisfaction at the thought it might not be entirely from exertion.
“So…” she says. “I have a place or two in mind for that drink. Someplace… friendly.”
Lena gives a slow nod. “I like friendly.”
“Someplace where we could get some privacy.”
Another nod, this time accompanied by a deliberate step forward. “Privacy is good.”
“And, ahhh… one of them just so happens to be walking distance from my place.”
Dark eyebrows lift in surprise, and suddenly Kara finds herself awkwardly trying to reel herself back.
“I mean, you know, in case we can’t drive after. I didn’t mean to imply– not that I expected… um, that.”
Pressing her lips together, Lena waits for Kara to talk herself out. It serves to jolt Kara back into herself; she chuckles. “You going to cut me a break here or what?”
“Oh, no, not at all,” Lena returns, grinning. “I’m curious to see how far we’re not going to go on this date.”
Kara laughs. “Okay, okay. Look– what I mean is that I don’t expect anything more than a drink to get to know you better. That’s all.”
With a slow nod, Lena saunters even closer. “Message received,” she murmurs smoothly. “That said…”
She leans in close, until Kara can smell the tantalizing tang of sweat and the subtle fragrance of Lena’s shampoo. Her heart pounds so hard there’s no way Lena can’t hear it.
“If any of that,” Lena continues, “were to follow… I wouldn’t be averse to it.”
Unable to help her answering grin, Kara cocks her head. “Well, before we even get to that, we do have one order of business to get to first.”
She flips the calendar tauntingly between them, even going so far as to let the thing tap against Lena’s chest when she waggles it playfully. Lena glances down sharply, clearly having forgotten the “true” purpose of Kara’s visit. She throws her head back and laughs a full belly laugh that turns Kara’s insides to jello.
“Guess I’ll have to rustle up something to sign that with–”
A marker flies out of nowhere, bouncing off of Lena’s chest. She fumbles to catch it, and Kara lunges for it on reflex. Their heads crack together audibly, and they both stagger apart, cursing.
“Jesus fuck–!”
“Godammit!”
Nia’s voice calls cheerily from outside. “You’re welcome!”
Kara locks eyes with Lena, who grimaces at her.
“You said something about privacy?”

News?
This:
Currently trying myself on a magazine for Technoise that will feature a sort of interview (I already mentioned in one of my previous text posts) taken during Chrome Chamber Rave where they picked Ryder to tell about it.
Above is a part of the cover (ofc I'll place Ryder on it, hello?). It took me a while to find a name for it. I've had a lot titles on mind, even nearly done a 'Tech Mag' sorta logo (see underneath) but I didn't vibe with the name and I had probably five different Cover versions that do all not exist anymore. I still do not know 100% where it will go and how the pages gonna look but I'll stay with '160+ BPM' for the title as this is the number where the definition of HardTech usually starts if I'm not wrong.
Updated Thyjs wardrobe and outfits
in three evening sessions.
It's not final-final yet but biggest part is done. I will tweak and refine him constantly as I see more and more armor stuff and militech xl mods popping up (to my luck hehe). There's no need to have it 100% updated yet as he's not going to be npv yet but I've wanted his stuff installed and sorted out older outfits that didn't match anymore since he's now also more developed than before.
I've wanted him to have more white and silver at first but his soldier concept is much stronger so he predominantly stays with green and earth tones + camo but the white/silver concept will stay for a few outfits (e.g. black and white themed with Ryder). I've added more (neon) orange to him as well. Oranje is the national color of the Dutch anyways and I saw it a lot in combination with green as well.
Plan:
tomorrow I'll update Jay with some clothing mods and edit his outfits maybe a little as well. And then I'll throw in V and take Twin Pics for their upcoming Birthday (27th)!

DYNAMO | Steve Rogers x Reader | part 2.
HYDRA has made their share of human experiments. You're just one of them. One of the least successful ones. One of the least functional ones. At least your life in the facility gave you a few things: unwavering resilience, cool(ish) superpowers and a great sense of humor. Steve Rogers would strongly disagree with that last one. A single chance encounter with him reluctantly brings you into the Avengers Compound, and you're determined to make his life as miserable as you can. Feeling's mutual.
AO3 | Masterlist | Playlist (coming soon!)
notes: part 2 is up! I've had this written for a while and I didn't want to wait to post hehehe. Not a lot of Steve interaction this time around though, just getting the plot going </3 (warnings: mentions of human experimentation, violence, cursing) (2.5K words)
2: CONDUCTIVE ACCORDS
“So, I’ve been thinking about what that thing you asked me,” Natasha slides on a stool next to Steve, and he raises one eyebrow at her, silently waiting for her to elaborate. He asks her lots of things, all the time. “on the girl with the electric powers. And then I remembered something.”
She opens the laptop she’s brought with her, and Steve feels dizzy by the lack of, well, anything, in her desktop area. He’s aware she has a meticulously crafted system, and that it never fails her, because she is Natasha Romanoff. But come on. There’s not even a Google Chrome on there.
After a couple of clicks a PDF is up on the screen. Medical records, and a picture attached. Yeah, that’s her alright-- he could spot that intense gaze anywhere.
He reads her name on the top of the page and tests it on his tongue.
“Or…A-7463. They refer to her mostly like this, anyway. She was part of an experiment to get people into manipulating energy.”
“Seems like they were successful.” He’d know. His body was still recovering from that.
“Almost…They wanted an army.” Natasha scrolls down, and more pictures come into view. They all have a bright red VERSAGEN stamp over the pages. Failures.
Kids.
That makes Steve grimace. “She was the only one who survived.”
“Yes. And when I came across these for the first time I thought--”
Steve’s head whips to Natasha’s face. His eyebrows meet at the center of his face.
“You knew? You kept this from us?”
“Well, it didn’t seem relevant—"
“An enhanced HYDRA agent walking around free isn’t relevant?”
“She’s not so much an agent – she’s more of a victim, don’t you think?” Natasha sighs, and closes the laptop. Steve perks up in his stool, staring down at her, even though he knew damn well that intimidation tactic wouldn’t work. But he wants her to know that he’s angry.
A victim. She didn’t seem like a victim when he was writhing on the ground like a fish out of water.
But those cries of pain he heard then weren’t his. His jaw was too busy being clenched shut to utter any sound.
Steve pinches the bridge of his nose, trying not to feel sympathy for the girl—woman, actually; from her files she is around 23 something now.
She’s HYDRA, still. And hasn’t turned herself over to justice. There was something off about it, Steve could feel it even though he couldn’t pinpoint it exactly.
“And I figured they’d have eliminated her already.” That brings Steve out of his own thoughts. She had been slipping through everyone’s fingers, then – and that was intriguing.
Maybe they could get her to collaborate. Take down HYDRA once and for all. Smash all the heads, burn all the tentacles to a crisp. From the inside, or at least with an insider on their court.
Even though their first impression was less than positive.
“We should take this to Fury and the others.”
“As if we needed another one of those.”
“Tony—”
“No, no, let ‘im talk, Natasha. Those what?” Bucky plants both hands – one human, one a prototype – on the table in front of him.
“Those—”
“Will this ever stop…” Steve shoots a sympathetic look at Wanda, though Tony’s remarks were never directed at her.
“Those what, Stark?”
Since Bucky Barnes had moved into the Avengers compound with the rest of them, his and Tony’s bickering had become a constant. They revel in civility until Tony decides he’s bored and it all begins again.
“Okay, children, you can stop now.” Fury drops a manila folder on the table – theatrics, because he never opens it, and instead uses a controller to turn on a screen behind him right after. It works though, as all of them turn to look at him. Steve rests his chin in his hand.
The face of a young A-7463 is up on the screen, staring right at him once again. A mystery wrapped inside a challenging gaze. Steve’s need to figure out just what she wanted and who she was grew more every time he looked at her.
Wouldn’t you like to know, Cap.
“…so we make her an offer she can’t refuse: freedom in exchange of information. Of course, with the bonus of not letting another superhuman on the loose.”
“Temporary and conditional pardon isn’t really freedom, Fury.”
“Well not everyone is as lucky as you, Barnes.” Bucky clenches his jaw at the same time Steve does his.
But it’s different. Bucky was a prisoner of war. He was forced into it. Who’s to say which side the girl was really on.
And those powers… she could be dangerous. Taking her down would probably need all their forces combined. They all agreed on that, at least.
But the plan was set: find her, convince her to cooperate in exchange of a conditional. Keep the girl and her powers under their watch and their control.
Finding her would be Natasha’s job. Steve and Sam would play the diplomatic part. Or they’d try.
He had a feeling that would be the hard part. Maybe they should cause a power outage in the vicinity just in case.
A-7463.
He thinks about your name again. It’s fitting for a hurricane, and he’s about to walk right into it.
There’s something humorous about having blue hair when you have electric powers.
Your hair is dyed a deep indigo now – and it should make you easier to spot in any normal circumstances, but not in Los Angeles, it doesn’t. This specific shade of blue was sold out in all of the Sally’s you walked in. So, like the sensible person you were, you broke into an apartment and stole a jar of it. You know, as you do.
The good thing about this city is that there were plenty of empty apartments for you to stay in – granted, most of them were just arranged to look livable, but a couch is a couch and for a night, that’s enough for you.
It’s not like you can rent an AirBnb.
Your mousey life has been going okay so far – since meeting Captain America over a week ago, you managed to stay lowkey, powers included. A blackout in L.A. would be a dead giveaway.
The balmy air of the city fills your lungs and clings to your skin as you munch on the other half of the burrito you got for lunch. You haven’t been able to eat much these days—something about the migraines left you with barely enough energy (ha) to keep yourself alive.
You’d never thought you’d miss the devils in lab coats and gas masks, but you almost do. It’s hard doing it yourself, and you don’t have the access to the drugs they used.
The view is pretty from the top of the building you’re sitting on, all windows and lights and cars going up and down the elevated highways. It’s nice. You wonder what New York would look like, but you don’t have the guts to go up there. Too close.
“Nice view you got there.”
A woman’s voice makes you jump and drop your food on the floor. You groan in frustration, but your breath gets caught up in your throat when the red hair comes into your line of vision.
Natasha Romanoff.
She’s leaning casually against the door that leads to the staircase down, and you know it’s to stop you from getting to it.
“Smart move with the hair. I almost got to three other people before finding you.”
You shrug, but inside you feel a little spark of pride.
“You made me drop my dinner.”
“Sorry about that. Although half a burrito barely sounds like dinner to me. I’ll buy you a decent meal—if you agree to sit and talk to me.”
The offer was tempting, and Romanoff’s face made you want to trust her. You were starving, really, until the realization that she was going through an effort to keep that expression on made you take a step back and your appetite vanish.
“Not hungry. And I’m not really a conversational kind of girl.”
“We have a proposition you might be interested in.”
“An apartment behind bars? Rogers already made that,” Casually averting your eyes back to the skyline, you begin scanning the horizon for the rest of them.
“They’re not here. Relax.”
“Lie.”
“Yes and no. They came with me, but they’re not close enough to ambush you.”
You don’t miss how she skirted around the actual reason she was here – a proposition. Bullshit.
“Right.”
“Not that I think they couldn’t—but they won’t. Trust me.” Her voice sounds much closer than before, and you turn your head to meet her intense gaze as your hairs stand on end. She’s sizing you up; you know her methods.
You had classes on all of them before you got out.
A former field of study standing right in front of you, casually inviting you for dinner. You wonder if she knows you feel like you’re caught in a mousetrap.
“Should I?”
Natasha chuckles lightly. “Not if you’re smart. Now, I am dying for that Pho across the street, so I’m heading there. Offer stands until I walk out that door, and I’m not leaving without you. Noodles or handcuffs, take your pick.” She sighs as you square your shoulders and keep looking ahead. You can hear the creak of the door at the same time your stomach rumbles.
Oh, screw it. Might as well take your chances.
“Wait—” You catch up with her a second before the door closes. When in Rome.
Well, L.A.
Turns out the choice between food or handcuffs wasn’t one. You inhaled the Pho like it was your first meal in days, because it kind of was, and then you got your wrists bound behind you on the next.
There was just a little scuffle in the middle.
Honestly, it wasn’t your fault; Captain America and the Falcon descended on you just as you were leaving the restaurant, your belly still warm from the food.
All you managed was a snarl as you leaped away from the three and gathered the block’s electricity on your body. One by one the lamps were out, and your face was illuminated by the familiar blue glow.
Captain America’s shield deflected your first blast before being hurled in your direction, lodging itself on the wall behind you. The next hit him right on the chest. Your lips curled into a smirk.
And then the energy vanished from your hands. As if evaporated into the air.
Groaning, you concentrated on bringing it back and directing yourself to your second target. Spots filled your vision, and your head felt like it was being split open.
It was a fraction of a second, and the Falcon took it. He knocked you over your middle and handcuffed you. And that was the end of it. You vision was too blurry to react and you had to make an effort to keep yourself conscious. The lights returned to the street. Shit.
Your powers are unreliable, you know as much. And now here you are, being strapped into a high-tech aircraft by none other than Mr. America himself.
“Absolutely fucking not.”
They had finally shared what the proposition was.
You could be arrested. Or you could be arrested, but with a pretty bow on top.
“You don’t have a third choice here. This the most generous we’ve been to anyone ex-hydra.”
“Except for Barnes.” Rogers clenches his jaw, now even more pissed than he was by your swearing. “Pity you and I are not besties then.”
His hairs are still unruly from your energy blast, and it makes you smirk. No hair gel is invincible.
Natasha must have caught a wave of it too, because you notice her usually impeccable hair a little bit frizzy. You almost feel bad – she did buy you dinner, after all.
There’s something almost empathetic to her demeanor, but it must be to break your resistance. Good cop, bad cop, as they say. You’re honestly surprised Rogers is the bad one this time.
He must really hate HYDRA. And so do you.
Thing was, you were kept in the dark on most of their operations. You didn’t even know where your base was until you escaped from it: two days away from civilization across the frozen tundra.
And this felt like walking back to it, except with a government issued name.
“I don’t know all these things about them like you think I do,” You start, and you meet eyes with Sam Wilson.
“We’ll take whatever you got.” He’s frowning, as if he’s undecided about you.
“And then let me go.”
“You will be pardoned. But you’ll stay at the compound for the time being.”
That’s that pretty bow on top.
However long or what would be done with you after said pardon, no one was willing to make that clear.
“That’s a shit deal. Prison or prison! Who did you guys learn to negotiate with, the Russian mob?” You squirm on your seat, but the cuffs on your wrists and ankles are tight. Your powers nowhere to be found. All that lab fuckery for nothing.
“You’ll see the living conditions are pretty good there.” Natasha arguments. “And we have a pretty damn good doctor that can figure out whatever’s going on with you.”
You look at her like a deer caught in the headlights. You’ve always thought she had no special powers, but now you’re wondering if she can read minds.
All three of them are staring at you now.
“Your nose is bleeding.” She explains it, and you hastily wipe it on your shoulder. There goes your last good hoodie. “And I read your file. We did.”
Your file. She has your file, the thing you’ve been looking for, the answers you need.
As if on cue, the pounding on your head returns. You close your eyes, letting your head fall back and knock softly against the wall. All you wanted was to just live. No stupid powers. No running. No Avengers, no HYDRA, no migraines and nosebleeds. The boring life everyone complains about.
You didn’t want to waste away while your own body turned against you, mad someone tampered with it until things went haywire.
The promise of a solution at last makes you go quiet.
“Fine. The Avenger Disneyland it is.”

Linux laptop project 2024.
I decided to upgrade my old laptop by making it a Linux dual boot system. I had never done this before. I downloaded the ISO files for Linux Mint 22 'Wilma' and Ubuntu 24.04.1 'Noble Numbat' LTS.
The selected files include the standard desktop environments for each, Cinnamon, for Linux Mint and GNOME for Ubuntu.
Then using the built in USB disk creator on Linux Mint, I created bootable USBs, one for Linux Mint and one for Ubuntu. I decided to install Linux Mint first. The installation includes creating partitions and I used the installation partition creator to create a 25 Giga-byte partition in which I installed Linux Mint. The installation went ahead smoothly, and when it completed, I booted up Linux Mint. It looked perfect.
See screenshots below.
I then installed GParted, which is a more powerful partition manager to create the additional partitions I needed. I created a 25 Giga-byte partition for Ubuntu, two other 25 Giga-byte partitions and I hundred Giga-byte data partition formatting them all using ext4.
I then installed Ubuntu. During the installation, I selected the extended install, rather than the minimal install, so I had a full Ubuntu desktop installation on the second partition on my laptop hard drive. This all went well and at the end of it all I had a system which could boot either Linux Mint or Ubuntu.
After installation, I booted each system up individually and updated them with the latest updates available, and then I installed necessary software that I wanted such as the Google Chrome Browser, Audacity, VLC Media Player, GIMP, Asunder CD ripper.
I also reinstalled the Chrome web apps for Microsoft Clipchamp and Trimble SketchUp web.
The majority of software bundled on these Linux distros is already preinstalled. I then had fun tweaking each install and making them look how I wanted.
Here is a list of some of the tasks I did in both installs:
- configuring the desktop environment to my liking, e.g. background, theme colour, dark theme (Ubuntu) mixed colour scheme (Mint). - added Bluetooth devices (headphones, Mini-Rig speaker) - added the printer device - dual booted into each one to check them out!
-
After this, Dad wanted to finish the set-up in such a way that I could link my local laptop Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Music and Video folders directly to the data partition, which would mean that I could access those folders automatically from any installed Linux distributions, however this didn't quite go to plan and messed some things up, so we decided to re-install both operating systems again and I repeated all the previous steps and left out the folder sharing part for now.
-
The images underneath show the final desktop installs with my various theme and desktop personalisation's applied and all the installed apps.
Here is a screenshot of the 'GNOME image viewer' in Mint and Ubuntu.
Ubuntu Linux is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a web post.

HERE lT IS!!! basically u can play solo or with up to 4 ppl, and as the turtles u fight through different levels/maps facing foe like the foot & the kraang + boss characters including bepop, rocksteady, chrome dome, etc!!! u collect power ups throughout the game while also getting moments of aide from metalhead, leatherhead, and others!!! the best part is u can use more credits to keep playing once you're out of health so i literally load up the card to keep going as long as possible 🤭 the audio and little quips that the characters/turtles make while u play are so authentic it makes me smile so big :))) we went for the 2nd night in a row tonight so here's a pic of me and my gf playing as the A Team 🫡
I DONT KNOW HOW I MISSED THIS IN MY INBOX FOR SO LONG BUT OH MY GOD THAT IS AMAZING
that looks like so much fun. but also begs the question as to why tmnt, such a HUUUGE franchise that’s spanned for as long as it has in media, rarely gets any game adaptations? like you’d think 2012 would have hopped on that. ik we had a 2007 and a 2003 game but it surprises me that there aren’t a lot of tmnt games out there.
that being said we are getting the mutant mayhem game and the last ronin game so. that’s a win :)
but dude, that’s so much fun. if i walked into an arcade and saw THAT. im pretty sure i would die on impact. straight up. my brain would not be able to handle it lmao. LITTLE CHARACTER QUIPS IN GAMES ARE SO SO COOL!!!!!! is it the actual va’s?:) anyway, thank you so much for sharing !!! always appreciated to live vicariously through you lol

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 || My masterlist
The mirror sent daggers at you. "Pull yourself together. Don't let him have a reaction. That's what he wants." You hate conflict it goes back to deep seeded issues when you were a child. You have heard enough arguments to last a lifetime from your parents.
Bradley tried his best to shake his anger, his anger at this class, his anger at the situation, and most of all, his anger at you.
You go back to your table and sit down, trying to avoid round two. You ignored his presence. You put your highlighters away and leaned back, waiting until the instructor returned. Rooster situated in his seat, glancing around the room. No one seemed to notice the whispered conversation you both had in between the chatter of everyone else studying.
Lt commander finally came back and started the quiz.
You both made perfect scores. The class was dismissed into lunch. The class filed out of the classroom. Everyone made their way into the galley. They all got in line and got their trays of food. You sat down with your friends. Em was the only other female and then two guys, Niki and Ben.
"This is some bullshit." Em stated, shoveling the food in. "I haven't had breakfast, and they're going to tell me that I have to learn a whole new plane? Fuck this." She leaned her head on the table. She only lifted to take another bite then back down. "This is really good." She whined with her head on the table. Ben and Niki rolled their eyes. "It's going to be okay. It's a stealth with some real man power." Ben said.
"You flipped ahead?" You interrupted.
"Shoot yeah I did." He smiled proudly.
"Fuck this. I got stuck beside an asshole. He got mad that I just turned the page once." You broke out in rage.
"What a bummer, hun. My partner is pretty bad ass. He was reading ahead with me. We were comparing notes." Ben wasn't helping the situation.
You ate your food, and continued to talk with your friends until it was time to return.
You sat in your seat. As soon as Bradley sat next to you, you felt heat crawling under your skin. You tried your best to ignore it and continued to watch the instructor.
The day had come and gone. You made it to the store. You grabbed a few things then made your way over to the protein bars. You walked down the isle.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." You bumped into a tall man that had a smile that could make any girl swoon.
"That's alright. What were you focusing on?" He looks back see the cereal lined up on the wall. "Which one?" He smiled. You looked back at the cereal. "Lucky charms. You?" You turned back to him. "I'm a Trix kind of guy myself. I'm Johnson, by the way. Rin Johnson."
You smiled and introduced yourself, then continued. "It's nice to meet you."
He looked you up and down. "I saw you today in class. I'm a weapons system operator. That new plane is a beast. It's got this chrome outside that makes it more stealthy under radars. Did you see it?"
"Damn, that's incredible. I didnt actually get a chance." He smiled back at you.
"It's nice to meet you,..." He spoke your name at the end. "I'll see you around lucky charm."
You smiled back at him, giggling softly. "I'll see you, Trix."
You both parted ways.
The next morning came faster than you wanted it to. You walked into class, and rooster was already in his seat. You sat down beside him, and you both ignored each other. "Morning, lucky." Johnson knocked on your table with his knuckles as he passed by. "Good morning, Trix." You both shared a smile, and he went to his seat. Bradley rolled his eyes.
The class began. The instructor walked in greeting the Lieutenants. He took his place at the podium. "Today we will be watching a demonstration on the B-21 Raider."
Everyone cheered. The instructor smiled. "I expect everyone here to be on their best behavior. Everyone in this class will get a red line pass if you do not have full access already, for one day only don't fuck it up or you won't ever be approved again."
Bradley glanced over at the guy you called 'Trix' this morning. He scoffed. You looked over at Bradley.
Bradley spoke up. "That's a stupid nickname."
"Yeah you're right maybe we could come up with a better one for you, dickhead maybe? I think it fits." You popped back at him.
He rolled his eyes and spoke with an annoyed tone. "Ooo real feisty, is that your boyfriend?"
"Wouldn't you like to know, Bradley." You glanced with your eyes, staying faced towards the instructor, then focused your attention back on the instructor.
"I asked, didn't I?" He hated the way you talked to him but has started to love pissing you off for the attention you give.
"You irratate the fuck out of me..." you trailed. "No, we aren't dating. Why do you care?"
He looked back at you. "I don't. I just wanted to piss you off maybe embarrass you."
You get up from your seat as the class gets up. You breathed out. "You are such a dick."
He rolled his eyes. "You're a bitch."
"You care or you wouldn't have asked. What is it, you want to try that date again? You know we can buy some alcohol and you can get fucked up like last time." You prodded him some more.
His teeth clinched again. "You didn't show up. How was I supposed to know. You didn't call or text or anything. I still have no idea what you were doing. Maybe you were taking your time getting railed by your little Trix before showing up an hour late."
"You'd like to think that about me wouldn't you? I'm into just screwing around with men, right? You're ridiculous. You think what you want. I owe you no explanation now. It was important." You walked away and followed the class out to the runway.
You picked up your headset. Everyone received one to listen to the instructor as he explained the cockpit and each thing the class had went over so far, it was quite loud outside. After the plane was explained you all followed each other to the galley.
You got your food and sat down. "Lucky, you mind if I sit here." Johnson smiled down at you.
You smiled at him. Your eyes glanced at Bradley, who was intently looking at Johnson. "Come sit, trix. Guys, this is Johnson. Johnson, this is the crew. Em, Ben, and Niki." You glanced back at Bradley again. His eyes didn't meet yours. He had fire burning through his eyes. The rage you saw was nothing like you've seen before. You smirked, knowing jealousy was bringing out such emotion. You knew he was lying. You fed off of proving him wrong that he did still want you. There was power within the thought.
You put on a smile when everyone asked you what was wrong. "Nothing, just missing home. Im just pissed I have to be here." They all nodded, agreeing.
The conversations were about home and what they would be doing when they got back.
Bradley sat as his body shook with anger. He stormed out to the gym. He had to get some of the rage out. It wasn't against the rules as long as he was back by the time class started again. He slammed the doors open. He hit the punching bag with all his strength. He hit again then again. He kicked and sweat dropped to the floor in a slow pace. He punched and kicked with all he could until rage began its decline, first to anger, then doubt, before settling to the worse of all the others, misery. He dropped to his knees. He was the only one in the gym. No one was there to witness his fall into the abyss. He sat on his knees for what seemed like an eternity. He picked himself up off the floor, just like he's always done... alone. He leaned his head against the punching bag. His voice so soft the whisper sounded like air wisping from his lips. "This is stupid, I went out with her once, and the date was horrible." He huffed out, shutting down his emotions.
He grabbed a towel and wiped off his face. He huffed and then cleared his throat. He walked out of the gym as if nothing had happened.
He returned to the classroom. He sat in the seat next to you. You looked over at him with a smirk. You were starting to love pissing him off, too.
"You know Bradley, I think you really do care." You giggled.
Bradley couldn't stand that giggle of satisfaction knowing you were only laughing at his anger. What a cruel bitch.
"I really don't. You can take cereal boy up your ass for all I care."
You smirked. "Now there's an idea." You could tell his anger was near drained from his next reaction.
"Go ahead and prove me right. I told you, you were probably doing that before the date." He looked into your eyes. "That's all he wants you for." There was no anger. All there was behind his eyes was something much deeper, defeat.
You looked back him searching. "And that's not what you wanted me for."
He looked up at the podium in the middle of the classroom. "Honestly, of course sex crossed my mind, but I'm not looking for just someone to sleep with. I can go pick up new girls every day of the week if I just wanted sex..." he trailed off. "Like you said, I've got the body for it." He added after the pause. He used your own words against you. You searched for insincerity but only found what hurt like loss. "Do what you want, but leave me the hell out of your ten minutes of romance with 'Mr. Right.' " He did air quotes, and the jealousy didn't seem so enticing now. His reaction just wasn't what you wanted.
"You do have the body for it, and it gets on my nerves." You spoke with venom dripping off your lips.
He smirked. "Why does that bother you? Is it because you know you can't have it?"
Your cheeks blushed a light tint of pink. "That's what I've been looking for." He chuckled and smirked again with the end of his checkmate statement. You scoffed. Your cheeks are still glowing pink.
"I don't want you." you narrowed your gaze.
"Just like I don't want you..." bradley trailed.
Chapter 4 Mature Smutish ahead.

For the Cyberpsychosis Ask
Can i please have for Mara:
1: Demons of War: Is there a job that has left a permanent mark on your OC?
2: Lt. Mower: What is the worst betrayal your OC has faced?
13: Seaside Cafe: Does your OC like reality shows? Would they ever be in one?
OHHHHHH I HAVE BEEN EXCITED FOR THIS ONE. We're gonna call this Thanksgiving.... Because this turkey gonna be STUFFED!!!!!
Character Key idk if you will need it but its there.
1: Demons of War: Is there a job that has left a permanent mark on your OC?
It's hard to choose, there were a few that I really want to talk about that have left marks on Mara, but one outshines them all in leaving the BIGGEST scar on Mara.
In the timeline of Legends of Night City, Night Raid was contacted by Raj, their fixer from Charter Hill, Militech had reached out to him looking for a crew that would be willing to go into the inclusion zone, having NO such team, as most of his contacts had written him off as burned, the only ones he could ask was NR. Gordie, being the silly man he is, agree'd before the rest of the team could discuss what they were getting into. Not having a good feeling about this job, Mara made her prep for not making it out alive. There was far too much risk, and too much left in the air when it came to Militech to... and Pardon my french when i say to FUCK THEM. Which.... Surprisingly didn't happen. Yet..
Mara eloped with J I H Z Z Y just a few days before the gig, to allow them to enjoy a little marital bliss, or the closest they could get to a honeymoon with such money and time constraints. Re-wrote her will, splitting money between J I H Z Z Y and Jack, if she was to meet her demise while out on this job. Lazarus was CRAWLING all over city center and planned to move into the Inclusion zone. According to the NC54, who was doing a piece with Biotechnica, you could see Marcus in he background, packing more chrome than the first time they had met, when he chanced them all thru the NID.
This job s h o o k her to the core, everytime she thought about it.
So, This Gig required them to go into the inclusion zone, which was a 1 1/2 day walk following a Militech solo "L" setting up net access in for militech. On the way, they stopped at the safehouse of an old friend of L's. Upon investigating, she saw a picture of Chae-Rin, Mara's roommate, So.... If theres a picture of her, this must be.. Jago's (Jay-go) safehouse.... One of the first members of Night Raid who was beheaded before their very eyes by Tetsuo Okaada, one of Wakako's sons. Something told Mara there was more than "L" was letting on..
Once they get to the inclusion zone, they get a notification about a bounty is near by, and frankly, no one wanted to take on more of a load than they already had. Who even knew what that bounty would even be, and who they'd be meeting at the end of that bounty to cash in to. TBH TOO RISKY considering the political stance with Biotechnica & Lazarus, Petrochem & NIGHT RAID. It requires a whole lot of explaining that I don't think anyone is prepared to handle. However, its IMPORTANT for you to know. NR passes on the bounty and choose to just get straight to the job.
Let me tell you a job has never went so fucking FLAWLESS for NR.
Look at this piece my husband did of the a scene from climbing a building to get to the top and install this antenna.
credit: @cyberpsychotic-purgatory [Image is Rockerboy J I H Z Z Y looking out at the nature(?) reclaimed city center. Mara looks back at her secret husband, the team knew something was going on between the two, but it was a big question mark in how involved they really were until the week leading up to the City Center job.]
!!!!!!CONTENT WARNING!!!!!
Like I said, things were flawless for NR, they were leaving the area... when Token (@dezthefixer, she's no longer active sadly...she retired. rip queen) rolled horribly for stealth..... Even J I H Z Z Y who rolls the worse in the whole group for everything PASSED this stealth check. Let me tell you it was the worst time too because who starts deep scanning her? Marcus from Lazarus. By the time she was able to get out "RUN" Marcus jumps from his location and landed on the ground in front of the group. This is where I issue a content warning. Point of No Return
When Marcus lands, just a few feet in front of Token, he's holding the head of the beloved combat cab driver, Boris.
"Need a Cab, Desiree Yang?" He asks as he crushes the head before Token.
(Ya'll he was there from the beginning of Night Raid, He's helped them time and time again, this was devastating to the whole group.)
During combat with Marcus, it couldn't have gone better, except "L" the militech Solo was taking the brunt of Marcus's force. The group finds out that the two have history, that Marcus tried to hook up with L, and she turned him down.
When L is about to reach her limit, Mara runs in and passes a speedheal over to give her a second wind, to keep fighting, while the rest of the team weaken him as much as we can.
If anyone in Night Raid, besides Mara gets hit by Marcus at all, they are dead. If Mara dies, theres no hope of anyone being saved with the Cryopump.
Just before L rejoins the fight again, she begins her Plight.
“We’ve got him right where we want him, let’s finish him off. What ever happens, please don’t leave me behind. I would hate to see what the plant life would do” [this requires more explaonation about how things work on our universe. I’m just giving you the boiled down info, my husband or I will go more into depth later about the inclusion zone]
She stands up, and turns to Marcus.
“You know, I didn’t turn you down that night at Gamorrah because I was scared. I turned you down because I’m spoken for.”
“You can’t mean that “Solo rat” you ran around with in city center.”
“He’s not a rat, his name was Jago (Jay-Go) and he was my husband!”
A shock to everyone on the battlefield in this moment. Gotta understand, Jago was an OG member, he had a mainline, was warming up to Mara (before his death 💀) and now we’re being told the man was married TOO? How does he have the time for all these women and to make a living? (Oh right, two of those pretty women were work involved)
The fight between Marcus and L continues as the Borg’d corpo titans exchange blows, with what little you could see with both of their sandi’s going. The victor on top, was L. But just barely. Turning to the group, with a beautiful soft smile, beat black and bloody, hair clinging to the sides of her face from blood and sweat.
Behind her, dust was stirring everywhere and the sounds of fighting off in the distance could be heard, but they were far enough to not feel concerned, until they began to hear heavy metallic footsteps coming closer.
A hand reaches out of the dust cloud quickly and grabs L by the neck.
“I remember you, cunt.” He looks at L’s face just before crushing her neck severing her head from her body. Turning his attention back to NR, they had wasted no time in starting to run. They knew if Adam Smasher wanted them, they’d better get to running.
Though, he did want to know what Militech and a group of no-name mercs were doing in the inclusion zone, doing a job he was sent to do. It wasn’t badly enough to be something he had to do himself, sending his small team to handle catching them.
Though, they had failed to do so, Mara and Gordie quickly took care of those in in pursuit, and made the collective decision to hurry to the roof, where a Militech AV would be waiting.
Something in every fiber of My being said “we need to wait a minute” but Mara was just wanting to get out asap.
That feeling was correct, because as NR is being EVAC'd out in an AV & Flying over the inclusion zone, she gets a message from her brother Jayce saying "Wheres Jack? I know he's with you. His ping says he went in the building you just went in."
Mara is confused, how does Jayce know where she's at exactly? He knew she was going to City Center, but not where she would be? And Why would Jack be in City Center?
A wave of panic overcomes Mara, as she becomes visibly panicked in front of her team, the most shaken they've ever seen her. Trying to figure out whats going on, Mara is frantically calling and messaging Jack & Jayce.
Jayce isn't answering.
Jack... Answers a message, and says he made a mistake, he hears them coming, he tells her he loves her if anything was to happen to him.
At this point, Mara is ready to bust down the door of the AV and jump out to get to Jack. She gets a message from Jayce saying he's got Jack and is heading to Medcenter, meet him there.
Pushing herself in overdrive, she rushes to Medcenter. She's 2 days with very little sleep, exhausted from the last 3 days being hell.
When she arrives at Medcenter, Mara sat in a private waiting room, courtesy of her Sister in law Emma. Where she was able to close her eyes for an hour or so. Until the doctors came in and informed her that Jack was stablizing now, but he had most of his body replaced with Cyberware, because he was mauled very badly.
Getting to Jack's side, the two start discussing what happened, why he was there.
Jack had been working as a merc after he'd figured out what she was doing. He wanted to be strong enough to protect her. So he followed her, and he had no idea about the Biotechnica cybernetic mountain lion chimera lurking in the area, which had gotten the advantage over him.
After, he begins to ask Mara about why she felt the need to become a merc to begin with? Why wouldn't she just tell him what was going on?
That's when Mara breaks down, crying, confessing how things had gotten out of hand. She'd only started being a merc to make ends meet with the Clinic, how on her 3rd gig, she should have gotten the hint when their solo was beheaded before her eyes, but she didn't because the next gig she had a killswitch put on her by a rogue a.i and she has no choice at this point to keep going.
And thats when he asks.... When the killswitch is off.... Will you stop then?
The rooms air felt suffocating, as she tells him she has no choice but to report for Duty at MAXTAC, to work under Jayce.
The answer was too much for Jack to bare, his humanity took a hit when he had all that cyberware installed on top of the trauma of what happened being fresh, caused him to slip into Cyberpsychosis.
Mara was gone. Who was in front of him, he couldn't be sure who is was, but he knows it wasn't Mars.
When the hospital room lights change to red, there is an alert that starts going off to inform that a patient is going Cyberpyscho, and MAXTAC was already in the building, so they wasted no time getting to the room.
Mara, pleading Jack to stay on this side of sanity, she's grabbing his arms forcing him to look at her, saying:
Stop, please stop!! They'll take you, they'll take you-
"I'm already gone, Mars." and Jack lunges at the C-Swat team now pouring into the room.
Just as she was about to throw everything she'd built away to keep Jack Adams on this side of sanity, she was going to tell him she loved him, and would do whatever it took. But she never got the chance. He was killed in front of her.
Her humanity dropped from 31 to 1. She was immediately knocked out and detained. Where she spent the night in Maxtac holding cells after watching her best friend and love of her life murdered before her.
How did all this impact Mara?
-Well, Mara suffers from trait she can never kick from her Psychosis. She will never be able to accept responsibility for what happened to Jack.
-Mara lost her clinic A.I JOI, because Jack had taken her with him to City center, and she was damaged. Because she wasn't registered to a legitimate clinic, she wasn't able to be restored.
-She's left alone to try and run and manage a clinic that was falling apart.
-She MAY OR MAY NOT have painted a black mark on her new marriage with her Rockerboy J I H Z Z Y, because of her inability to let Jack go.
Those are just a few examples of the impact this one job took on her. Im sorry this was so long on this one thing. but I did promise to get into the meat and potatoes about this gig.
2: Lt. Mower: What is the worst betrayal your OC has faced?
The worst one Mara has ever faced.. Depending on the timeline.
LoNC- Mara was dating this guy she worked with on Trauma team(worked on another flight crew), who cheated on her with their boss... in the locker room showers... in front of Mara's whole crew.
Water on Mars- Jago and Mara had been seeing each other, he was making it very clear he wanted something more than them just stuffing it. He wanted to Mainline, He'd been making steps to clean up his life so he could give it an honest shot with her.
While, Mara is very tennative about commitment, she was receptive to the idea, but wanted to wait a bit.. She didn't want to commit and it blow up in her face. She knew he had a Wife, well he said Ex-wife as he was making steps towards divorce, she knew his life was complicated, and so was hers.
Agreeing to keep seeing each other to work on something real together, Mara was interrupted with her brother at the door, Jayce. See, Jayce and Jago have a long history, and the two hate each other.
Mara had just talked Jago into striking a deal with ODESSA, he works for them until the job is complete and they leave him alone to live in Dogtown, he can come for work, but never for leisure.
Throwing her whole reputation on the line with Titus & Jayce. Shit, she even threw her relationship with Titus away to save Jago.
& a few weeks later, he's ghosting her, and she finds out he's working for Militech, he's defected to be with his Ex-wife.
Though, it isn't until later that Mara learns it was all Jayces idea to have Jago infiltrate Militech.
13: Seaside Cafe: Does your OC like reality shows? Would they ever be in one?
Yes, Mara loves reality shows, she loves the drama. However, she couldn't ever be on one, not that she'd ever want all those eyes looking at her all the time.
I am so sorry this turned into a long winded post... I have been working on it for a few days here and there. YES I called it THANKSGIVING, because I was hopeful I would at least get it done by then, but we all know I work on my own clock lmao. TYSM for asking me about this! I'm sorry.. I know you'll probably never want to read or ask anything from me again, I totally understand.
#Ask box#Typos and grammatical errors be damned#Jesus is in the notes#Thats just me saying im too lazy to re-read this#it's been days of typing when i have the time or brain space#TYSM FOR ASKING ME THIS JUICY ASK I HOPED SOMEONE WOULD#Tysm for keeping my brain sane during a hard time

1916 12 Boelcke's Boys - Russell Smith
note: I am not sure about the date, I checked my books on Jasta 2 and couldn’t get a certain fix, it could be early 1917 as well
'Boelcke’s Boys' depicts two early Albatros scouts of Jasta 2 near their airfield at Lagnicourt, France. In the lead we see Lt. Diether Collin in his Albatros D.I, 385/16. According to author and historian Bruno Schmaeling, this Albatros was painted chrome yellow and bore Collin’s signature “Co“ on the fuselage. The bottom of the aircraft was light blue and the wings were painted in the standard 2-tone camouflage. This was a prototype Albatros D.I and had the water tank mounted in front of the first engine cylinder, not above the cylinders as usual. Diether Collin achieved 13 victories before being fatally wounded in aerial combat in 1918.Behind Collin we see Manfred von Richthofen in his Albatros D.II, 481/16. According to Schmaeling, the fuselage of this aircraft was painted all red and bore a white spinner, grey-green metal nose ring, and most likely black and white stripes behind the nose ring. Richthofen would go on to become the highest scoring ace of the war and one of the most legendary airmen in history. This artwork will be featured as the cover art for Bruno Schmaeling’s upcoming book on Jasta 2, published by Aeronaut Books.

Cyberpsychosis: 1, 2, 4 and 9 for Wren. 👍😊
01. Demons of War: Is there a job that has left a permanent mark on your OC?
aside from That Job™️, rescuing Evelyn was a really hard one for her. tack that onto the reoccurring nightmares that keep her awake, it is one that will likely never leave her. She tries really hard to push the memories away by remembering Evelyn as she knew her- vivacious, beautiful, smart, cunning. That never works though. The sights, sounds and smells of that warehouse always make their way back.
02. Lt. Mower: What is the worst betrayal your OC has faced?
In her opinion, it was when the Bakkers joined Snake Nation. That was a betrayal from her family, and you don't betray your family. It's caused rifts in her blood-related family, caused her to leave for night city, and was essentially the catalyst for where she is now. And so, she blames everything on it. (most definitely not her own foolish decisions that got her here, nope)
04. Ticket to the Major Leagues: How did they react to their first chrome? (Not including the neurosocket, shard slot and wrist plug).
She played around with it allllll day, scanning things and driving everyone batty (her first piece was optic cyberwear). She told anyone and everyone about it, and in true Wren fashion did not shut the fuck up about it lmao
09. Letter of the Law: How does your OC feel about corps? Hatred, necessary evil, etc.
hate. hate hate. hate hate hate. It's about the only thing she & Johnny can agree on (at first, anyway). Corpos are the one type of person Wren is actively leery of, she can't trust them as far as she can throw them. She hates their lifestyle, hates how they think, hates how they operate. She'd rather deal with gangs because at least they are generally upfront about their intentions versus corpos who are far sneakier.
Thank you so very much for the ask!

1 for Vijay, 2 for Ryder, 3 for Jaysen and 4 for Thyjs? :3
Demons of War: Is there a job that has left a permanent mark on your OC?
The first time V actually sees why Ryder told him to stay further away and out of sight from him has left a permanent mark on Vijay. That day V learned that Ry sort of developed into a literal killer during the few years they didn't spend time together. Seeing Ry killing everyone around him with an unknown strength (through his berserk system) but in such a frenzy and a never ending rage was something Vijay needed to compensate for a few days afterwards together with the images of shredded bodies and blood everywhere. Ryder, too did scare him being all covered in blood (but back to his senses). It was just the first time, though. It hurts V to see Ry like that and also knowing that Ryder doesn't want to be like that either let him start to look for a solution. So he came to the special hack and mod he installed to safely get Ry out of his frenzy before it gets worse as it often is rather unprofitable during their work.
Lt. Mower: What is the worst betrayal your OC has faced?
Ugh. His parents who only see him as baggage, a scallywag. He tried his entire life to be a good son, that all he does he exerted himself into the work he hated to hopefully make it up to especially his father. But it was no use. Learning that his family only saw one thing in him he was good for, reproduction to keep the family tree alive, was the worst betrayal for him. They destroyed him nearly with that. Luckily he had a tiny spark of hope that made him stay alive and leave.
Six Feet Under: Malestrom kidnaps your OC, how do they get out?
Jay is likely not to have many problems to get out. He will wait for a good moment of them being heedless. In the meanwhile he will scan every corner to look what he can make use of. He will probably watch his kidnappers for so long to find out who is the weakest and calculate everything who he's gonna hack first, so Jay's got a temporary helper against the stronger ones and then he will play out his card and all ends up in blood and gore, while he takes his fastest escape route. Jay can take control over those whoe are weak and have to much tech. Make them fight their allies. He has no problem to make grenades detonate they carry around and he will have fun to make their heads go explode. Jay really needs only a weak spot to microhack into one of their tech and they basically lost.
Ticket to the Major Leagues: How did they react to their first chrome? (Not including the neurosocket, shard slot and wrist plug).
Like Ryder, Thyjs first chrome have been Kiroshi optics. As albino he's had photophobia and decreased visual acuity since he was born. So he definitely was in need to get a better eyesight as soon as he started Military school. The first day of having them felt weird for him, needed some adjustment and to get used to it. He had the usual headache right after he received them but no further problems. They felt like his real eyes before just way better.

Linux Laptop Install 2
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish).
Ubuntu wiki link:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu
After it had installed, I checked for any outstanding system updates and then I configured Ubuntu's personalisation as follows: - Set my theme colour to Blue - Change the system theme to use the Dark theme - Changed the default position of the dock ‘left’ to ‘bottom’ of screen. - Set a desktop background
I have also set the dock to Auto-hide when windows overlap it to save workspace size.
I downloaded and installed Google Chrome and installed a number of apps through the Ubuntu SNAP store, these include: GIMP VLC Media Player For more information on SNAP see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snap_(software) I will install more apps through the Ubuntu Store as I find out more about what's available. I found this laptop's performance has dramatically improved compared with Windows 10.
However the Bluetooth and the camera don't work properly due to hardware issues which were there before.
I connected the Epson printer to the Ubuntu laptop and printed a test page successfully.
See the printer session and test page in post below.
Also, the laptop has a maximum display resolution of 1366x768 pixels making it quite restricted when moving and spacing all of the windows on-screen.
The muti-media function keys on the laptop work perfectly with Ubuntu.
These include:
Search, Brightness, project, touchpad, media playback & volume controls.
I really like the 'Eye of GNOME' Image Viewer that comes with this distribution.
Wiki link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_GNOME
I like its simple yet functional user interface, how snappy it feels to use, its support for SVGs (Scalable Vector Graphics) and transparent images.
The file manager is called GNOME Files (previously Nautilus).
I played with LibreOffice Impress and edited some pictures in GIMP.
I also tested a 4K YouTube video which played flawlessly on the laptop as shown in the Activity Monitor!
The GNOME Disks utility and File Systems tab.
In the future I might try installing other Linux distributions to test.

this can actually only be a 2013-2016 Chevy Spark because they didn’t make this specific color anymore beginning in 2017.
based on my assessment of the color and the positioning of the trunk lock, i believe this is a 2016 chevy spark. here is a picture of a similar colored 2016 spark for comparison. the chrome accenting on the LT model is also unique to the middle model years from what i can tell.
