Lore(heh) for this au!

Fwhip is the brother to Cleo and Gem and the child of Alex (yes, that Alex). When he later becomes an admin, Fwhip is gifted a book by his mother. It is sentient and calls itself Lore and tells Fwhip that he must keep It with him at all times due to the fact that any server not made by Lore can and will corrupted since Its magic is very volatile.

Lore is like the Storybook of Legends from Ever After High but instead of quills, the people get keys and are crowned as Emperors. Not everyone gets a Key, hence why Pearl, Oli and False(although there is more to their story) only have one key.

Keys are the physical form of the stories and are enchanted to stay with that Emperor at all times, even off server. Stories cannot be traded with another Emperor until that story is finished. After the story is finished, the key loses its enchantment and are able to used by anyone. Its kind of like writing a fanfic.

Example: Gem can't be the Codfather and Jimmy cant rule Crystal Cliffs. After Empires season 1 ended, Gem can use Jimmy's key to play the part of the Codfather although the story has been written and there isn't much she can do to change the outcome.

Fwhip was given explicit instruction to not use Lore's magic anywhere except on a server made by Lore and he warned his friends. They joke and pretend to use it but as long they don't insert the key into the book, nothing actually happens.

The current timeline of Fishy Tales, Fwhip, Lizzie and Jimmy disappear from SOS and finds themselves on Hermitcraft which is slowly being corrupted by lore magic although both hermits and former emperors are confused as too why.

Lizzie finds herself in Joel's Shrine, Fwhip is Big Salmon and Jimmy gets to annoy Grian in the Chamber of Cod. The trio has to find a way to communicate with their friends and family to look for their keys and the Lore Book.

Hi hello! sorry it took forever for an update, January was NOT my month 😭

Anyway have some Scott angst, a dancey boy and some Jornoth crumbs

So I was reading some reincarnated villainess stories and got an idea for a fic. It's like Empires s1 but set in an academy. The life series members are also there. And the Hermits.

I'm calling this the reincarnated villain au.

The life series winners (Grian, Scott, Pearl, Martyn, Scar) are part of the student council with Grian as the Student Council President.

Grian is only the Student Council President on account of being the one to think of a way to elect council members without it being a popularity contest (the life series)(idk how it works yet, plz give ideas). He has as much power as the Headmaster.

Grian hates his job and leaves everything for the other members to do. The only thing he actually does is sign whatever papers they tell him to because they need his authority as President to do anything. But he doesn't bother reading what he's signing. This leads to chaos and problems that Watcher 1 and 2, the Headmaster and Vice, have to fix.

Cleo is not an official member of the student council, but hangs out with Scott and Pearl in the student council room so much that she's become an honorary member. Everyone is a lot more scared of her than the actual student council members.

Joel and Lizzie are betrothed. Despite this, Joel ends up getting a harem. Somehow. And Jimmy is part of this. Somehow.

Xornoth isn't a demon, they're just Scott's overprotective twin but kind of like Loki (marvel). Sausage is his best friend and Joey is his betrothed.

Xornoth wants Jimmy and Tango dead. Why? Because Jimmy and Scott were betrothed since they were children, but Jimmy falls in love with Tango and accidentally humiliates Scott by calling off the engagement in front of all the students and their parents at a House Blossom Ball.

But now that Scott is no longer betrothed, other people are trying to win his hand in marriage.

Meanwhile, Jimmy is trying to make amends (while Xornoth chases him around with a Very Big Sword) because he never meant any harm but his stunt has caused Very Big Problems (Bigger than the sword Xornoth is chasing him with).

This entire thing is an excuse for Scott rarepairs.

Here is my really long list of head cannons for your playground au.

Marytn, Pearl, Grian, Jimmy, and BigB all went to the same preschool- evo

Gem and fWhip are siblings, who is older? They won’t tell you.

Gem has a rock/gem collection and really likes wizards and magic and science. fWhip made her a really big hat and a scarf. She gave fWhip an amethyst that she put on a necklace she had a ruby that she also put on a necklace. No one knows how she got these.

fWhip on the other hand likes to take apart his toys to make new inventions (They sometimes work. Like 80% of the time). He made himself a scarf. fWhip steals dye from Scott to make people stuff. He crochet because.

Pearl likes the sunflowers that she stole from Jimmy and Scott and is trying to set up Tango and Jimmy. She and Sausage like to fight with sticks at recess. One time it was after school and the lifers couldn’t play so they had a whole arena fight. Xornoth had to go pick Scott, Sausage, and Joey because Sausage’s and Joey's parents were looking for them. 

The empires musical is just Ren and Marytn wanting to put on a musical and so Lizzie was like sure i’ll do that with you guys!

Grian and Pearl try to fly one day with one of fWhip and Mumbo’s inventions. It worked, it was just them gliding . fWhip and Mumbo were very happy after that, they made the ‘wings’ for the two. 

The mail system is Etho, Pearl, and Tango wanting to message each other in class so they built a mail system during a day where they couldn’t life series because it was too cold.

Pix likes to make candles and has a book where he writes down all the ‘deaths’ of the people

During group projects in the esmp room it’s usually a 4 person project and so you have the ocean alliance (or the Codvengers as  Jimmy calls them) the Wither rose alliance and people call them the fae alliance but it’s just the rest of the class i.e Scott, Joey, Shrub, and Kathrine.

Oli only comes to school a couple days a week because he also goes to some fancy music school.

There is a fountain (Drinking) and water pools around it on the playground that’s Lizzie’s empire. Pix took the sand box. There is just some plot of grass and so Pearl claimed that. Gem took the tallest tower of the playground.

The Hermitcraft recap is just Pix, Xloy, and Lyarrah (Who are older but Pix for some reason plays with the empires kids) filming everybody because the hermitcraft and the empires really wanted them to. So they report on what happened during the week on hermitcraft in a news report and make ‘episodes’ of empires. 

Tango made an obstacle course that he called Decked out (2) that they would play during recess. Etho and Pearl got really good at it and so they were called the Deepfrost Court.

Keralis and Xisuma are the oldest of the hermits. They get to hand out the snacks when snack time comes.

AWH YEAHHH :O these are all adorable and I’m incorporating them into my belief system right neow….

Okay so first off I am going to set it up like so:

Epic!Character - Hermit/Lifer/Empyrian - my reasoning and design choices

Also this comes with new watcher lore at the end

please give ideas for Calypso and Apollo <333

Odysseus - Joel - He can be surspisingly clever at times, but I chose him for Ody more because 1 he’s straight and obsessed with his wife 2 he is a bloodthirsty bastard when he is red raging and 3 because he isn’t good with teammates

Zeus - Ren - It’s simple really, 1 he’s a theatre kid, 2 the red king

Penelope - Lizzie - well fist off, she’s Joel’s irl wife, but also because she is girlboss and a clever bitch

Telemachus - Hermes - he is Joel’s canonical kid and yeah

Eurylochus - Grian - very serious when he needs to be, is logical during the life series, and so would open the windbag for the lols

Polites - Jimmy - Canary curse, is baby, he can’t fight good and supports Joel and also would ensue shenanigans as soon as they are alone

Winions - Tanukis - a reference to @Mellozheist ‘s Hermitcraft tanuki!Joel design

Athena - Gem - She is an excellent fighter and is very logical when picking fights, she isn’t afraid to finish the job and the dynamic she and Joel had in Wild life felt similar to Ody and Athena’s (imagine Gem scolding Joel for going all bloodlust again after telling him not to red rage all season)

Polyphemus - Xornoth - big and only one eye but same design otherwise. Xornoth is terrifying in Esmp s1 lore. Imagine a giant one-eyed demon using corruption magic and a club to kill you, it’s also fun to point out that Joel didn’t acknowledge Xornoth at all in Esmp s1 and this is referenced in ‘tell me what’s your name?’ ‘My name is nobody’ Also this choice will make a lot of sense when you take into account who I picked for Poseidon

Aeolus - Scar - Now hear me out here, Scar is a prankster. This is a good prank. Aeolus’ whole thing is ‘do my lil task and u win!’ ‘What’s the catch’ ‘hahaha wouldn’t you like to know’ like Scar does that shit all the time. He rides on a cloud because he can’t walk and the cloud changes shape to accommodate him (After the time skip he just suddenly doesn’t have a shirt btw)

Poseidon - Scott - he’s dramatic, he’s queer, he’s petty, he’s been in a rivalry on life series with Joel since Last life, and in a world where both Scott and Xornoth (being brothers in lore) are evil, Scott, being loyal to his associates, would show up to defend him

Circe - Sausage - he ran a sanctuary for magical creatures and these people were attacked so he protected them. Also he owns a strip club so he would seduce people  to lure them in before brutally murdering them like a gentleman

Hermes - Oli - based on vibes tbh, but also on that one time when Joel played MCC Ender Cup at Oli’s and when they were losing Oli would hype him up by making up a song on the spot (M C C DO YOU KNOW THE WORDS!?)

Odysseus’ mom - Donkey Jeremy - for the memes, also Joel going to the underworld and finding that his donkey god is dead is brutal when you realize how long he has kept this bit up

Tireseas - Martyn - the lore man himself showing up only to lore drop on the main character and not help at all is such a Martyn move, the voices in the background are listeners dropping even more lore and all of them are giving pretty straight answers compared to Martyn only speaking in double meanings

Siren!Penelope - The Virgin Jeremy - if you don’t know who that is, when Jeremyism was created, Lizzie was brought into the cult religion as ‘the virgin Jeremy’ it looks close enough to Lizzie to be passable from afar but the outfit is all wrong

Odysseus’ ‘daughter’ - that kid Joel had with Jimmy during the Empires x HC crossover - technically his kid, but he gave it away as a Christmas gift so does it really count?

Scylla - Pearl - Scylla is a beast with 6 wolves heads for feet, 5am Pearl from Double Life is remarkably similar to Wolf Joel from 3rd life and Wizard Joel from Last Life, ‘we know that we are the same’ also she is just fucking crazy and deranged and we love her

Antinous - The Secret Keeper - Used as the leader of Watchers in this scenario. Watchers are known to be evil (or at the very least,very morally ambiguous) in lore

Calypso - Iskall fits so well but I don’t like himmmmmm give me better ideas please

Apollo - i dunno tbh, literally no ideas here. I would like ideas thanks.

Hephaestus - Doc - our machine boy, loyal to the bone so ofc he would have a problem with Joel being a traitor but not enough to fight his point because he has things to do

Aphrodite - Skizz - he’s sweet, and loyal, Aphrodite is the goddess of love, but in the musical she focuses on familial love, which Skizz does very well. He’s not on Joel’s side at all because Joel kills Skizz a lot 

Ares - False - a good fighter, would love to watch the bloodshed unfold also a fight scene with a Gem and False would look so sick

Hera - Cleo - the 80’s outfit matches Hera’s music, respects a man who doesn’t cheat on his wife, (LOOKING AT YOU ETHO)

Eurymachus - Watcher (partial sight*) - Eurymachus is the one that tries to open arms Odysseus, the partial sight bit will be explained after character list.

Melanthius - Watcher (unseeing**) - Melanthius is the man singing when Telemachus arrives and he is the one making orders and says he will ‘break the kids hands’, unseeeing will be explained after character list.

Watcher lore: 

The Secret Keeper is being used as the leader of the watchers, not needing wings to hide the eyes and instead wears a heavy mask with the watcher logo on it.

Watchers usually have two pairs of wings, a small pair where the ears would be cover the watchers eyes, the other pair on their back.

When a Watcher is starting to break away from the normal mentality the face wings begin to pull away from their eyes, Grian his his wings fully unfolded.

*partial sight means the inner half of the eyes are not hidden, meaning the watcher can now see the light/make better decisions

**unseeing means the wings are more tighly folded over the eyes that one is fully under the other like a blindfold, normally watchers can at least see the very smallest difference between being in a dark room and a light one, Unseeing Watchers can not.

Not enough people talking about names in Empires, probably because they're already their names in all seasons but I'll overanalyze them anyway

Don't even get me started on Gem's name meaning twin, any way she received that name is tragic. Did her parents name her that because they didn't want her, they had only wanted one kid? Did she choose that name for herself when she moved to the Crystal Cliffs because she felt bad for leaving Fwhip behind? If you want Fwhip to be the one who got away she could change her name because she missed him so much. In any way it's someone being defined purely by their relationship to another.

Fwhip's name stands for Fail Whip, can you imagine being named Failure? "Sir! Your children are being born! What do you want to name them!" "Shit that's today, name the girl Twin and name the boy Failure." If you're a trans roseblings truther (me) that's literally worse, he named himself something that means failure.

Sausage's first name is fine, but Mythical? Maybe that's his middle name, maybe he was told his whole life that he was above normal people, a myth, a legend, better. His world view just collapsed when he met people like Gem, Pearl, and Shrub, who all, although being in positions of power, don't ever think of themselves as above their subjects, he excused that because, Pearl was a queen, Gem may have been elected, but she was from a royal line, Fwhip's sister, Shrub was blessed by the spirits. But then he spends more time with them, and Gem can easily defeat him in magic, Pearl beats him in PVP, Fwhip is crazy good at inventing things, and Sausage just feels completely inadequate, his world view just collapses, then he finds Xornoth and he is so desperate to feel like he is worth something

Shrub's name is constantly gotten wrong, pretty much everyone calls her Shelby, how do you think you would feel if your entire culture got wiped out and you're the only survivor, and nobody can get your name right

Scott and Xornoth are just funny, can't even make them tragic, elf names are like "alinor, Cohanal, Xornoth, and of course, Scott"

Katherine, Kat, cat hybrid, cat hybrid Katherine, I won't explain further

(marriage of state) you've mentioned a couple times that the Rivendell siblings are pretty fucked up, but i'm not sure if they're like, an unusual amount of fucked up for their peer group. so on a scale of 1 to 10, where would you place all of the marriage of state rulers? are there any particular standouts we should know about, besides our beloved Scott and Xornoth?

I waited to answer this because I was going to draw a diagram but apparently that's just not going to happen right now so we'll just use our words.

Not Actually Doing Too Badly, Weirdly Enough:

Pearl. We love an unbothered queen. She is the sanest of the whole lot which is. Saying something. The desire to punch things in the face is unrelated to any sort of trauma its just her idea of a good time.

By the time of the main arc, Lizzie also fits here. She's dealt with most of her issues already. She knows who she is and she is comfortable with it. (Almost no one else is but that's not her problem)

Joel is vibing. An unbothered king. Living his best life, happily married. Definitely Unhinged but like, weirdly healthy about it.

Would Be Doing Fine If Not For Plot:

Shrub Berry was having a very normal time as a very normal gnome up until they very suddenly weren't so like, there is technically some fucked up-ness but its very recent and hasn't settled in yet. There is hope.

Jimmy has 99 problems and most of them are named fWhip and Mythical Sausage. A little insecure but like, he's got a supportive family and is doing alright.

There Is Something Wrong With You But Its Hard To Tell If It Has A Specific Root Cause Or If You Are Just Like That TM/Cumulative Effects of Your Environment:

Joey was raised in a temple under threat of assassination and also all kinds of magical things with strong potential to kill him but like, other than that he's doing alright he's just. Him.

Believe it or not the only thing Wrong with Mythical J Sausage is that he was raised in a family where power-hungry imperialism is the norm. Its mitigated somewhat by being close with Pearl especially but also like. He had loving supportive parents they just also taught him that Mythland is superior and the peak of civilization.

fWhip also falls into this category. He also had a good supportive, loving family but is also very undeniably one half-step in the wrong direction away from going full supervillain. Maybe its the redstone poisoning, maybe its being pushed into a position of leadership at too young an age with absolutely no preparation or even real warning.

Very Clearly Has Something Wrong With Them but Is Pretending So Hard to be Normal:

The Rivendell Siblings think they are doing so good at being normal. Especially Scott. Scott things he is The Most Normal. Everyone else is Very Very Concerned. Sucky parents, sucky situation what with the whole gods and possessions and prophecies thing. Religious Trauma personified x2

The only person who thinks they are More Normal than the Rivendell siblings is Gem. She is pretending so hard to be normal she's convinced herself of it. Beneath her traditional Wizard Character Faults (arrogance, tunnel vision) are some very deep-seated abandonment issues and self-loathing and identity issues.

Seems Very Normal Until You Realize Holy Shit You Are So Fucked Up Please Get Help:

Katherine Elizabeth was raised similarly to Sausage except her mother was not loving or supportive and instead of attempting to shield her from the uglier side of politics and power plays actively exposed her to them and trained her to commit them. The mortals that live around the Overgrown borders were very very lucky that Katherine decided early on that she likes mortals. Just like she likes sheep!

Pearl Goddess of the harvest and farming her title was literally the farmer pearl and in the past people kept track of harvest by looking at the phases of the moon and positioning of the constellations

Lizzie the trickster goddess of the ocean and government ocean because in season one she was a fish goddess and government because in season two she was a mayor and in both she is a scam artist trying to make a profit through morality ambiguous means

Joel god of thunder and art in canon he is the god of thunder and if anyone in empires was a art god it would be the guy that sculpted clones of himself and built stratos/mezalia

Katherine goddess order and balance and duality she fights evil by transforming from the pretty pink princess to the axe wielding warrior and as lady Katherine of the overgrown she is the one that is neutral the one that Try’s to keep order

Jimmy is The god of death for obvious reasons

Also been thinking abt empires 1 majormoon lately and how they got engaged after they were oh so sure theyd "defeated xornoth" and then the the fucking finale happened and they died before they got to have their wedding. They had already started planning it too.

One of their first dates was a wedding also, the royal wedding, they were both invited but scott specifically asked him to go together, ofc pearl accepted. Pearl was the "flower girl", Scott brought a big ice sculpture. There was a dinner banquet after the wedding at the prisma palace, similar to the celebration one, and they sat next to eachother at both.

After dinner also, gem and fwhip did a big magic and fireworks show... the starcrossed lovers held hands watching the beautiful shapes and colors on the sky <3

I imagine when katherine sent them letters telling them about the mini empires town she purposefully sent em flowers associated w eachother (idc abt canon ik pearl canonically got a cornflower and im a huge canon-scott denier for my own whimsy). Pearl got cornflowers and Scott got sunflowers. Before opening the letter, they assumed it was from eachother, until- OH OFC... ofc it would be from katherine hahaha... who else... right...

One of them warm like the sun, the other as cold as the heaviest winter.

I have no clue how long it'll take me to finish, but for all my fellow Scwhip enjoyers here's a preview of something I started and am currently working on, a word of warning, the final project might involve smut, I felt it was polite to warn about my intentions early, I might drop that idea in the middle of writing said smut as well though.

His knees were starting to hurt from kneeling on the hard stone tiles. Wounds itching from lack of attention. His wings were long stiff in their bindings. Not like it was needed. He couldn't fly away if he wanted to. His true self forced out.

"According to what I know about elven law," Gem, fWhip's twin sister, Headmistress of Crystal Cliffs Academy, spoke up. A shiver of dread ran down Scott's spine. Did she know… "Xornoth can be considered an exile, meaning Scott is now the king," she did know. Of course, she knew. She figured out Scott was a half-dragon even with all the magic he used to hide it.

fWhip hummed. "Is that so," he chuckled and Scott heard him stand up. Followed by his boots on the tile. Then he could see fWhip's damned combat boots. "Then I might have an idea what we can do with Scott," suddenly a warm even through thick gloves hand grabbed one of Scott's horns and made him look at fWhip. "And maybe even annoy the cod lovers in the process," fWhip's grin was far too wide. He was enjoying his plan far too much for Scott. "You were supposed to marry Jimmy for the sake of alliance with Lizzie, no?" he smirked and suddenly seats were scraping against the floor.

"fWhip you better not say what I think you're about to say," Gem suddenly protested. Likely guessing the same thing Scott was guessing fWhip was about to say.

"Why? Isn't it about time I get married? Might as well use it to piss some people off," fWhip laughed, barely glancing at his sister. Scott glanced in her direction as well. She looked pissed. Fists clenched. Pearl hovering nearby. Sausage was just sitting causally. Likely didn't really care who fWhip married as long as their leader didn't turn on the rest of them. fWhip held the most military power in the whole alliance after all.

What headcanons do you have from when Pearl and Scott were dating?

The first few weeks of HaTO!Galaxy duo's relationship were pretty normal. They initially got along as close friends to begin with and nothing much changed once they decided to get together.

They were the couple that were both besties and lovers. They called themselves 'Gossip Girlies' but also 'Soulmates'.

Since HaTO!Pearl had to deal with her amnesia, she always somehow found her way to cling onto HaTO!Scott without meaning to most of the time. Not that it mattered to any of them as they were basically inseperable whether one feels bad about it or not.

Halfway through their relationship Pearl's memory problem got worse, along with the dreams she's been having that makes her a little more crazed than she'd like. She became a vulnerable vessel to... unwarranted villains.

Following the defeat of Xornoth and HaTO!Grian's and Artemis' retrieval of Pearl, Scott was actually the one that begged the goddess to remove any trace of Camp Empires in Pearl's head in hopes that her new 'first impression' would be in a happier view. Although HaTO!Sausage didn't like the idea of losing Pearl, he accepted the reason.

Can pretty please info dump things about Pearl or Gem or Pearl and Gem from your Champion of Exor au?

There really isnt much for me to info dump either because there just isnt much story to tell or cuz it enters spoiler territory but i'll give what i can 😅

For starters: Neither Pearl nor Gem know about all the other worlds Sausage traveled to in an attempt to save Pearl and stop the Rapture. Scott kept his memories due to a strange convergence with Sausage's dimension-hopping abilities, so everyone in that world is about the same as they were around mid S1 minus the corruption, but some things are different

Starting with Gem she is sadly more formal than friendly with Scott. This is because Scott was pretty reclusive before Xornoth returned and only begun to get close to other people like Gem and Shrub because of it. Since in this world that never happened, from Gem's point of view the reclusive prince of Rivendell suddenly became more open and friendlier towards her and the other rulers. She also isnt as powerful as the Gem from the original world was since she hasn't had any need to gain more power to protect others, but she is just as skilled. And for obvious reasons she doesnt have Violet here.

As for Pearl's situation is kinda the opposite in the sense that while Gem had someone she wasnt close with suddenly wanting to approach her, Pearl had someone close to her now keeping distance aka Sausage. It took Sausage a few months of being in that world to finally start feeling like he wasn't gonna break into hysteric cries everytime he approached Pearl (as much as he'd like to deny it) and it was solely because he found out Xornoth never got corrupted in this world so that means no Rapture and most importantly: No Pearl dying.

But of course Pearl didnt know any of that. All she knew was that her favorite sparring buddy out of nowhere started keeping distance from her, keeping their interactions at the bare minimum and opting to spar alone instead than allowing her to join him for some friendly matches. But she knows Sausage and she knows he wouldn't be acting that way just because and is probably overcompensating for something she isnt aware of yet, so she decided to just give him time and space until he finally started talking with her again.

Angst aside Pearl is basically the same Pearl in canon. Warrior queen always up for a good fight or just having a good time with her friends.

For now there isnt much in the story about either of them since their original selves had to rise to the challenges when Xornoth tried to take over the world and in the case of Champions!Pearl and Champions!Gem they are just living through an age of peace.

Their time to shine will come once Exor's new champion gets contacted by the evil god. Specifically Gem.
