God I love your stuff. I feel like you’re one of the people who gets the fact that the line between responsibility - what you’re accountable for - and blame - especially taking on blame for other that isn’t yours - is a blurry one that makes Mouthwashing all the more interesting.

Blame does not equal responsibility, in fact, misdirected blame can absolve a person of their faults. Curly specifically, if we look at Last one and then another DLC, implied to blame himself for having Jimmy join. He talks about it in a melancholic and regretful "looking back at my mistakes" way, there's no mention of him being angry or resentful at Jimmy, at most he's disappointed, but even then it's mostly directed at himself, not Jim.

Jimmy shifts and twists the blame and responsibility in a way to make himself feel like a better person, never admitting his actual faults, which are inexcusable. Curly wants to be a good person, however his sense of justice is misplaced and he feels responsible for everything, when in reality he should let the actual person at fault to take blame and accountability, yet he attaches it to himself. Curly does not take responsibility, he takes blame.

can y’all imagine sending one of those things where a girl texts her man about having a bad day or wanting coffee or something and he replies by sending her an insane amount of money (like $100+) to eddie, and just being like “why don’t you ever do this for me? 😐” as a joke

and then the man just sends you one (1) fucking dollar.

and when you’re like “REALLY??? A DOLLAR???” he just goes “I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU WANT FROM ME IM BROKE”

it would become an inside joke, him randomly sending you the smallest amounts of money possible and just going “buy yourself something nice 😏” or “don’t spend this all at once baby” to be a little shit

Episode 5 all but confirms that Jod is not a legit Jedi (or if he is he's long fallen), that he only knows of their ways second hand, or perhaps had a personal negative experience with one (not surprising, he's a pirate, they don't typically get on well with Jedi), his cheeky non answer when Wim questions how Jod is able to "use the Force" when only Jedi are able to do that (according to Wim's limited knowledge), says enough, but his cynical incorrect understanding of attachments-framing them as things that hold you back-clinches it

Actually that view is very in line with the followers of the dark side, who believe caring about others is a weakness, and you must abandon or kill what you care about or they'll be used against, in contrast to the Jedi belief of attachments being things that you must be prepared to let go of or accept when they're gone

Also his later actions in the episode also give a pretty good indication he is long past being on the up and up morally
