Go back to your valley and wait for me Guidobaldo, for I am surely coming. For you. For your son. For your whole family. The depiction of Cesare and his dealing with Guidobaldo here is as predictable and inaccurate as I thought it would be, however, this scene and this line delivers some accuracy in the sense that irl Cesare truly wasn't one to show weakness. Even when there were times where it can be suggested he was afraid, he never showed it in public and he just kept on going. He certainly also did not lacked courage or boldness. But his boldness, his fearlessness wasn't reckless. It was employed in a very strategic, clever way in which he managed to use it as a shield against his enemies on several occasions in his life. Also, Machiavelli's sad face because he disappointed the Duke there isn't so so far way from reality🤭💖

While judging a media in how gay and how canonically gay it is, i like to use something many people may not know: the Italian test.
You see, if you grew up with Supernatural and BBC Sherlock, you may think you know how much you can be queerbaited or lied to. This is actually false, because were you italian, you would know that is just the tip of the iceberg. Would you known our sufference, you would know that two male characters can confess their love, marry each others and kill the God separated them. And also forget everything about that and return living as fully heterosexual roommate, nothing happened here. Another characters may have gay sex on screen with his best friend with whom he had tension the whole serie, but actually be fully heterosexual and how could you imagine he is anything but that. You may be canonically homosexual, but actually your true lifelong love is for a woman, with whom you have a children and will live a normal life with. In front of this, canon and gay become unattainable entities, that only with some very specific astral conjunctions may become true. If a love confession, or a gay wedding, or gay fucking in front of our salad is not enough, how can be anything less enough?
This Is why for how much everyone hoped, Deadpool and Wolverine is not canonically gay. Stop lying to yourself. They already did that shit with Venom, and they went no homo bro in the second movie.

I started a rewatch of the Rai tv series "Leonardo" and towards the end of episode 1 this character made his entrance:
Tumblr media
I was like "wait, who was this guy??" and then Leonardo says his name: Ludovico Sforza!!!
Tumblr media
I mean… I can understand that the show tells a fictional retelling of Leonardo da Vinci's life but c'mon you can't cast someone with light brown hair, pale skin and blue eyes to play Ludovico, who nickname was "il Moro" (the Moor) from his dark eyes, dark hair and dark complexion!!! 😅🤦‍♀️

The folks complaining about the so-called "bad reputation" in the 2021 series, Leonardo would absolutely throw a fit if they ever saw Derek Jarman's Caravaggio.

Neither did I—but now I’m gonna search for the series and binge the heck out of it; especially since one of my favorite Spanish actors, the delicious Carlos Cuévas, has a role in it (hope his character gay or bi).
Why did I find out only now that there is a tv show called "Leonardo" in which Aidan Turner plays Leonardo da Vinci? How come not even one person told me that it is so amazing? I watched one episode and afterwards watched the whole thing in two days. And I still can't get it out of my head! It has great storytelling, the characters are likeable (and easy to hate), there are famous art pieces everywhere, beautiful settings. Oh, and gay characters ('cuz ya know, we are talking about Leonardo da Vinci), etc.
Like, seriously, is there not even one person who saw this and wants to scream about it? At least one? Please?

Leonardo took less than three years to realise the largest of his paintings, and the only fresco to have survived. The Last Supper (also called the Upper Room) is a painting in tempora and oils on two layers of chalky preparation drawn on plaster. It represents the moment in which Christ pronounces the sentence: "One of you will betray me". [...]The scene takes place in a virtual space that almost seems to break through the wall of the refectory in an illusory way. The source of light that apparently comes from the left corresponds wit the real source of light of the refectory, which has the windows exactly there. The rapid deterioration of the work which was noted in the two decades following its execution was partly due to dampness in the wall, and in part caused by the experimental technique used by Leonardo. Rather than painting on wet plaster, which required a rapid execution, Leonardo chose to use tempera with an oil glaze, which allowed him to rethink and make changes to what he'd painted, as well as give him an indefinite period of time to complete the work. What we see today is the sum of a series of restoration attempts which began in the eighteenth century. In part, these have changed the work's original appearance, to the extent of substantially altering its depth, and the heads of the apostles. The work nevertheless remains a real theatre of emotions, where the reaction to the news just conveyed by Christ is concentrated in every single apostle. Their gallery of expressions rightly places this masterpiece at the centre of art history, representing a continuous and permanent show of feelings that come alive on ever viewing. Over the centuries, many poets have described the emotional impact of gazing on this work of art. Among the most famous examples known is the opinion of the German author, Johann Wolfgang Goethe (1789-1832) who writes the following about the group on Christ's right hand: "While Peter has grasped John's right shoulder with his left hand, bending towards him, he points to Christ and encourages the most beloved amongst disciple to ask who the traitor is. With his right hand, he accidentally presses a knife handle into Judas' ribs, who moves forward in fright, even knocking over the salt cellar. It seems likely that Leonardo attended to this group first of all in the composition, and it is perfection itself.
