On the road, her fingers itched for her knife or her gun, often both. Nowadays, her fingers itch for her drawing pencils and her sketch pad, anything to capture the scene before her; 

Joel, a soft smile on his face, scarred hands a steady, unfailing support for baby Jolene as she tries to stand on her own tiny legs. Baby Leon watches contentedly from Tommy’s lap, clapping clumsily, cheering his twin on. 

She still feels like an intruder, less so when she takes this observant role, committing every play of light and shadow to memory so she can bind it to paper in chiaroscuro later, given back to the brothers at some point, the only payment she can figure for being allowed into moments like this. 

Tommy nudges her gently, noticing she’s getting too caught up in the traps of her own head. Her leans over a bit, voice soft like he’s sharing a little secret, 

“I was a late walker y’know. But when I finally got it figured out, our mama said I took my first steps straight to Joel.”

Now that we know that it could’ve been Eddie/tommy I actually am so happy they (or if the rumour is right that Ryan) rejected that story because the way I see it it makes more sense for it to be buck

Like Buck just never examined that side of himself before so he just genuinely didn’t realise that’s what it was whereas Eddie’s comphet reason is that he is repressed and has a mountain of catholic guilt - it’d have to be a super meaningful and powerful relationship to overcome that and let him accept it so if they went the Eddie/tommy route it just wouldn’t feel right

I think it was @maygrcnt that I saw make a post abt how buck had to realise he was bi before realising he loves Eddie but Eddie has to realise he’s in love with buck before he accepts he’s gay (ik people differ on the headcanon so umbrella ☂️ ) and like that’s EXACTLY why the Tommy and Eddie thing would have been such a no

Finally watching the Tommy and Quackity video since I'm getting some food ready and can't look at the subtitles on Pac's stream while I'm doing that, and man :') It's nice hearing Quackity immediately say "Hey, I don't do that anymore" when Tommy tries to initiate an old sorta uncomfortable bit using "Mexican" accents (it's also nice hearing Tommy be like "yeah that felt vaguely offensive when I used to do that as a 16 year old")

how many times do we need to learn as people that irony and hyperbole can be harmful because 'jokes' aren't easily distinguished from genuine thoughts and feelings until we stop rewarding people for speaking or posting about violence

like even if you're joking/don't actually believe that/think whoever you are insulting is bad/immoral/fictional therefore deserves it - ad hominem attacks always do more harm to the people who share those characteristic then the individual you intend to cause harm to or discredit

I really need to chill out but also at this point I might just need a sensitivity reader for ch 3 just because I am driving myself up a wall going back and forth about this being fine and nervousness
