They don’t really recognize how they’re treating him or why it’s wrong #But he does #He sees it clearly and knows why they’re acting like that

CBS Ghosts is my new guilty pleasure so take my new OCs. The Blanchet family were distant French cousins of the Woodstones who visited the house in the early 1900s, only for a violent house robbery to take the life of their youngest daughter, Mercedes, and her loyal self appointed guard dog, Horse. Only 8 years old, it takes some time for Mercedes to understand her fate, and for some time she’d be very distressed that her family seem to be ignoring her. On the bright side, the other ghosts are there to try and make things easier, though the misfit collective have a hard time caring for a child given their circumstances, and conflicting ideas on how best to raise a little girl.

Of all the ghosts, she is closest with Thorfinn. He has a soft spot for the little girl.

#‘why does her dog have an English name’ because he didn’t have one at first he was just dog. and then they died #and thorfinn who had watched this dog take a bullet in attempt to save his owner #took one look at this thing and went “’AHA! just for fun this time during 'sea of blood' I counted out all the venatori corpses I think we can be pretty sure were lucanis' handiwork before we show up (not including the ones he kills in his initial cutscene, and with an assumption that he's been at work mainly up and down in the areas we move through until we find him, not behind the locked door -- I think that's mostly the work of rampaging undead and other venatori-hoisted-by-their-own-petard suchlikes). can thus happily inform you lucanis has killed at least 32 venatori before rook and company get there. at least one of them he's impaled on their own weird crystal spike things the venatori mages cast as an AOE attack and that they're trying to keep him contained with when we find him. so he's clearly been keeping busy lol. that's my boy dispensing poetic justice and claiming some enrichment in his enclosure while he's at it good for him!

I hate the stretch lines in the front of Curly's uniform because that means the devs rushed to make a model in like a month or so and thought "They gotta at least know he has huge knockers, gotta know he's got back pain." Cause like what is the thematic importance of his tits having overhang?

What responsibility is that representing? Breast reduction? It shows an inherent greed in his character due to the excess and heshouldletmeholdone and that he clearly is blinded cause if he tries to look down his damn ladder all he's seeing is his own cleavage.

Thinking about how Hoody!Brian had SO many opportunities to kill Alex but hesitated and couldn’t time and time again. He had the guy captured twice and while you could argue that the Operator interrupted him once, he also HAD him at Benedict Hall. He could’ve ended it there, but he couldn’t.

Hoody!Brian could hate him all he wanted, beat him to hell and back, and mock and threaten him, but he never was quite able to pull the trigger. Even at his lowest, even full of hate and contempt for Alex (and some for everyone else alive too), he couldn’t seem to cross that particular line. Which is incredibly interesting to me.

#marble hornets #I loveeee trying to get a look in Hoody!Brian’s head #because he does some fucked up stuff #he IS technically a third antagonist aside from the Operator and Alex #but like. he does try to help Jay and Tim at certain points #in his own way #and he’s against both Alex and the Operator #He doesn’t WANT anyone else to die hence why he targets Alex so heavily #but he also struggles to actually get the job done himself and tries to get Tim and Jay to do it instead #he’s on Tim and Jay’s side but he both does and doesn’t trust them and it’s just very complicated #Plus comic 3.5 implies some stuff about his state of mind that only ramps it up further #yeah. I love this guy #he’s very complicated and also pretty sad honestly and just. a great character #I don’t know how much of that made sense but end of rant #SB Speaks
