When my partner and I went to TF Con LA this year, I managed to get the display models for Mastermind Creations Rumble and Frenzy and my partner got Rosanna! (They also got the last big ass Unicron lol) It was a lot of fun hanging out at the con hotel bar goofing around with our toys XD

Kuro kara kuri Jazz is definitely my prized baby... I was lucky enough to have just enough of a tax refund to dump on him when preorders unlocked 😭

Again, I need to make a damn photo box so I can take really nice pics! I know it's not hard to make one but it's a task and I have the autism lmao

it appears that some of the DLX Transformers are being reissued, one of which is ROTF Optimus Prime. I could only find it on Big Bad Toy Store, but Jetfire might be getting reissued too and since I have a lot more space now I could totally get one to slap on my Optimus Prime

Ugh anyways, I hate to admit it, but I might need to buy... G1 Transformers figures (throws up all over the floor /j).

I looked at my collection to see what to bring to the cinema and I legit only have like 2 figures of Shockwave (more like 1 and a half), it's depressing. I did buy Yolopark's BB movie version of Shockwave, a day after they announced 23cm versions of him AND Soundwave from the same iteration so that's awesome (I bought it knowing full well of this fact. I'm just insane and decided I can get both too when they release).

Same goes for Megatron. Hell, I just need to open up my selection of characters. IDK why I'm even being picky about Decepticon figures, I love all of them.

My next plans are the Yolopark kits of D-16 (cogless and cogged mode. Side-note, calling it cogged mode is so funny, it's like 20 fingered Sukuna) since they're on the cheaper side. Maybe Optimus too since I do like Optimus... I think his cogged form is very cute actually. After that, it's open season for me. I thought about getting that Revoltech Ultra Magnus like I've wanted for a long time, or maybe getting a Jetfire figure for the first time because he's the only other Autobot I like. I'm already losing focus of my main goal of collecting Decepticons, I am WEAK

The thing I hate is that... many of the TF figures that transform are butt ugly, I can't lie 😭 Sorry guys I fucking HATE them. I could probably just wait for the next wave of figures from the Asian manu's but I could also just die waiting

A fun reply nobody asked for lmaa. I plan to post a lot of jazz creation content (ie G1 concept art, character profiles, voice casting, other writing room brainstorm stuff, etc) so be ready for that too I guess, but as a treat for now at least...

Now when to wings or not to wings? TL;DR: there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to this so do what you want.

The more involved answer is more... metaphysical.

Transformers became a thing, b/c Hasbro ripped off designed some ~transforming toys~ and said "pitch us something interesting to sell this as" and, as such, THE TRANSFORMERS 1984-5 BRIEFING BOOK was born.

So technically some plastic model w/ wings was the physical toy model that inspired Jazz's base design, but ultimately everything that is Jazz (character profile, attitude, colors, voice, etc) was designed by Bob Budiansky and the G1 animation team.

And so Jazz as we know him debuted on the same page as his toy picture and his character imodel sheet design—showing him as wingless from the start!

But then... later on in life... you get some funko-style figurines that should, by all means, should not too heavily differentiate from each other.... and alas! even here, one has wings and one does not.

SoooOOOOooOOOOO.... who really knows?

TL;DR: The Kuro Kara Kuri Jazz is real, out —extravagantly expensive and extraordinarily gorgeous—and very much worth it!

Fun fact! Jazz has had doorwings before! Its a feature from his original toy and its only really the animation side of things that took doorwings away from Jazz. Multiple of his toys feature him with doorwings, or at least the option to have him with doorwings

Like the Flame Toys Kuro Kara Kuri Jazz figure, have you seen that figure? Its literally the sexiest Jazz figure ever

Okay first of all, omg I didn’t know that:0 I only saw him with wings in Rid and eeehhh I’m choosing to ignore everything that happens in Rid completely including Jazz’s design. He was fun and cool and stuff but he looked like a Pepsi logo

so this thing seems to be, essentially, a reworking of the super-deluxe-fancy-whatever Kuro Kara Kuri IDW Rodimus figure to be actually transformable. somehow. good lord.

...so that was originally $400 without all that extra engineering, wasn't it. how much do we think this one will go to. jeeeeez.
