I still haven’t read all the Champions issues of the Outlawed crossover yet, but this scene of Kamala Khan opposing the corporate-sponsored unconstitutional law named after herself by tearing a Roxxon shirt to reveal that she's wearing a “I’m Not Your Law!” t-shirt underneath is just so badass!
From Champions (2020) #9 by Danny Lore & Luciano Vecchio.

"The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Manhattan, said the band was also objecting to Trump’s use of the song because members Jack White and Meg White “vehemently oppose the policies adopted and actions taken by Defendant Trump when he was President and those he has proposed for the second term he seeks.”
Several prominent musicians have previously criticized Trump for using their songs at rallies. Last week, a federal judge in Atlanta ruled that Trump and his campaign must stop using the song “Hold On, I’m Coming” after a lawsuit from the estate of Isaac Hayes Jr."

I will return to not stanning politicians tomorrow but watching Kamala Harris destroy Donald Trump is like a religious experience to me. She's leading him into traps to distract him into saying nonsense about crowd sizes, pointing out how he is an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon, and just nailing every question.
I am smiling So Much after a really shitty day.
Now I understand why some people start riots when they win at sports.
This is the woman who made Brett Kavanaugh cry and she is here to break Trump like he's a glass at a Jewish wedding.

There are really just two issues that matter this election:
One is climate- Biden put us on a path to halve carbon emissions in 6 years and reach net zero by 2050. Harris will continue that. Trump will actually increase use of fossil fuels while gutting regulations.
Every person on Earth will be harmed and endangered by that, regardless of your identity, location, or views.
The other issue is the peaceful transfer of power. Whatever problems you may have with Harris, she'll leave peaceably in 4 or 8 years. Trump will not. This is not fear mongering or hyperbole. He has said that if he wins we'll never need to vote again. He met his last electoral defeat by inciting and enabling a violent insurrection. Sure, he's an old man, but he's surrounded by young men who share the same contempt for democracy and the rule of law- like his Vice Presidential nominee, JD Vance, who will assume power if he dies in office.
We were lucky to get him out once, barely. His people are much more prepared for a coup now, he'll have broad legal immunity now thanks to SCOTUS, and he's openly vowed to become "a dictator on day one" and deploy troops on American streets.
Any issue with Harris is a temporary problem, and you can try again in 4 or 8 years. With Trump, you can't.
THE ONLY REASON TO ELECT TRUMP IS IF YOU ACTIVELY WANT THE WORLD TO BURN. And don't care how many actual people burn in the process. And if that is your position, then by your own choice you are an enemy of all humanity.

IMPORTANT VOTING INFORMATION
Now more than ever, it is important to make sure that you are registered to vote and that you fully understand all the requirements for in-person, mail-in, and absentee voting. Double check your registration OFTEN to make sure nothing has changed. Don't give Republicans ANY reason to disqualify your vote.
The video below explains some concerning trends happening in swing states. And while her point about the Montana and Oklahoma issues may not be as nefarious as projected (there are articles online saying the issue in Montana was a glitch and the Oklahoma purge has been ongoing by independent auditors), the other ones are more credible as deliberate attempts to suppress voters.
Regardless, it is in your best interest to make sure you are fully informed of what is going on regarding voter registration and laws in your state.
Transcript:
So Trump is now saying he doesn’t want a second debate with VP Harris. And you could say that’s because he got shellacked in the first one and doesn’t want to embarrass himself again, but I think something more nefarious is going on.
Trump is not campaigning in swing states. He’s not trying to sway new voters. And he keeps going around saying he doesn’t even “need votes”, that they “have all the votes they need”. In fact, he just did an interview with Fox News where he said he “wouldn’t run in 2028 if he loses”, but then he said, “Let’s just hope we’re successful in this one.” Not, “Let’s hope we win this one,” “Let’s hope we’re successful.”
People should think it’s weird that Republicans don’t seem to care about how bad their candidate is. That they don’t seem to care that Project 2025 came out, and we can all read for ourselves how awful their plans for America are. And it’s weird that so many swing states are suddenly changing their election laws and purging voters, or making it harder to vote, or count the votes just weeks before the election.
Look at what’s going on around the country. The Secretary of State of Montana just “accidentally” left Kamala Harris’s name off the absentee ballot. They sent the ballots out to absentee voters without VP Harris’s name on it.
The Texas Tribune just announced that Texas officials have absolutely scrubbed their voter rolls, and people should go out and check it they’re still eligible to vote.
Oklahoma purged 450,000 people from the voter registration list last week. That is one-fifth of their state’s voters who have to re-register seven weeks before the election.
Georgia’s GOP Board of Elections just passed a whole slew of new rules, including the biggest one being that they have to hand count every ballot. But they already have a rule that says they can’t start counting ballots until Election Day. So counting 5.5 million votes is going to require a lot of time and a lot of staff that many local jurisdictions in Georgia simply don’t have. So when the votes can’t be counted on time, that’s going to give space for the MAGA lawyers to come in and claim the election is defaulted or fraudulent , and kick the entire election back to the state House, or subsequently, the whole state misses the deadline to certify the Electoral College votes, and they either don’t send electors from Georgia at all, or they potentially pick their own alternative slate.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court just said that all mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania have to have the “correct handwritten date on the outside of the envelope, or the vote inside won’t count.” I mean, sure, check to see if your envelope is dated correctly, but why would the handwritten date on the outside of the envelope disqualify the vote inside? Doesn’t it have to be postmarked and / or received by an official agency before even being opened?
Republicans even tried to change the rules in Nebraska for how electoral counts would be awarded less than 50 days before the election.
You have to ask yourself, “what are they doing?” And why do they keep accusing Democrats of trying to cheat? Talk about projection. This is the same party that was pushing for the SAFE Act in Congress and threatening to shut down the government if they didn’t get it. Their claim, which luckily, we have currently moved on from, is that they were just making sure every voter was an American citizen, which of course is important. But it has never been a real problem, no matter what Republican propaganda tells us. But they conveniently forget to mention that the SAFE Act also said, if you didn’t have a passport, something that fifty percent of the population doesn’t have, then your birth certificate had to match your ID. Which of course, would be impossible for say, any married woman who took her husband’s name. And there are lots of people who say, “So just use your marriage certificate to prove that you changed your name,” but the SAFE Act says absolutely nothing about your marriage certificate or license to count as ID, and it takes time to find that document and submit it and process it when we only have weeks before the election.
We need to be incredibly clear. The Republicans were looking to outright disenfranchise the women of America, Republican and Democratic women of all ages, I might add. And it’s not just women they’re looking to disenfranchise, because while the gubernatorial candidate, Mark Robinson’s scandals have been sucking up all the air in North Carolina, the RNC was quietly trying to block the UNC students from voting. But they recently lost that lawsuit.
If you have to keep changing the laws to get elected, you’re not winning elections. You’re sabotaging elections. The whole thing reminds me of that quote by the Russian communist leader Joseph Stalin, who said, “The people who cast the votes don’t decide the election, the people who count the votes do.”
So look around at what’s happening in America right now. The Republicans aren’t trying to win. They’re trying to make sure the Democrats can’t win. And while that should freak you out, I sincerely hope it also inspires you to get your friends and family out the polls and vote wholeheartedly against this kind of behavior.

The Substance of the 2nd Amendment (Update)
Reading the comments of those opposed to gun control laws reminded me of the book The Lord of the Flies. A real shame that this book appears on most lists of banned school books in red states.
Some commenters took offense that I would hope for a day in which guns are no longer viewed as weapons to be used against another human being.
They are so convinced, just like Jack and Roger, that our collective "normal" should be to be on guard (ready to kill another person) always, that it becomes offensive to hear or read someone state that "it doesn't have to be this way."
And there are those that continue to call for a bill to "arm our teachers" without really considering the extra danger that would put school children in. They also do not consider that most teachers, for personal or religious beliefs, would never hold a gun up to another person - to many teachers "thou shall not kill" is not a suggestion.
When God looks down on us and he sees that, in over two thousand years, we have not figured out how not to kill each other, I know he shakes his head in disappointment. If you want to know why I support gun ownership, as a natural right to protect oneself, and at the same time support sensible national gun control laws, it's that I hope God will look down on us one day and he won't be disappointed.

But what the fuck problem do they have against the father and mother, for a minority, we all have to adapt, they make absurd laws that distort the foundations of society, but couldn't they make adequate laws just to include them instead of excluding the majority of us?

absolutely terrifying to follow the US election, even as a citizen in a european country.
i'm sure its 100 times worse as a US citizen, but I think it says a lot, just how much time an election in a foreign country takes up for the rest of us.
whenever i speak up about US politics, i always get the inevitable "why do you care so much?? you don't even live here!!"
it makes me wonder just how unaware certain americans are of just how much US politics affect the rest of the world. not just politically, per say, but also legally.
the US has been a driving force in many unions formed across the globe, their economy directly affect the rest of the world, their politics and their world view directly affects the rest of the world.
the rise in hateful rhetoric and beliefs, racism, misogyny etc that came with the first trump presidency didn't just happen in the US. it happened all over the world.
policies changed in countries across the globe, especially in europe, because they had changed in the US. i dont think thats a good thing, i also don't think it should be happening, but alas, it is.
the US has ingrained themselves as a superpower and unfortunately, as an example to follow, despite the fact they're rarely the leading force in anything good.
and the hold the US has on international unions? the hold the US has on the United Nations? Nato? absolutely terrifying. they shouldn't have that kind of power, at all, but they have solidified themselves to have it because of their strategic moves in that space throughout several decades. so unfortunately they do, and whoever they choose to lead them, will directly affect many of us despite the fact we don't live there, despite the fact we would never even want to live there.
becoming americanized was one of the worst decisions my own country ever made, but unfortunately, not everyone sees it that way. i hate that i have to worry about an election in a foreign state, i hate that i have to worry about how the outcome may affect us in the future.
and i absolutely hate the leniency we give the US as a country in general, i hate that we adopted the mindset that the US is an example to follow, a country to lead us, when so much of what they do is utterly insane, wrong, illegal and just delulu in many ways.
y'all are really having trouble choosing between a convicted felon and a woman??
the sheer lack of clarity and dare i say intelligence in some americans is absolutely astounding.

In regards to Meg and her support of Kamala Harris, I don't need "we shouldn't expect "celebrities" to have revolutionary politics." discourse. Cardi B has been making a couple of quite good political critiques over the years on both sides of the political aisle and got hosed for refusing to vote because of imperialism. Khelani made a whole video about Palestine. Solange intentionally used Palestinians photographers and cinematographers to shoot her performance In Service to Whom and had made several references (although that's not enough) to the multiple genocides happening. What's happening with Meg and Kamala Harris is the uninformed enthusiasm of someone that is swept into the glittery Black magic/ girl power of it all, which ALSO happens to coincide with her brand.
#stories from the void#like Kamala Harris has been very good at removing herself from the genocide#people see a Black woman running for President#against an all out bigot#remember Thot Shit#this fits perfectly within those aesthetics#she's also been very good#at having people forget she's gleefully ruined lives with the power of the law#the Kamala Harris campaign#is not a matter of celebrity politics#and I would like us to please strike that fucking term#to begin what is a celebrity
