ushijima wakatoshi is a quiet sleeper. you realise that, because he spends weekend nights in your dorm. it’s an unsaid schedule that makes sure the both of you manage to catch some time together amidst lectures, meetings and training sessions. though, part of it is thanks to your horrible sleep schedule. 

it’s currently 3.28am and ushijima is asleep in your bed. he’s a back sleeper, keeps the covers tucked up to his chest, and barely moves. sometimes he snores when he’s really tired. he favours shorts and cotton t-shirts in the summer months, trading them for sweatpants and pullovers when it gets colder. you bought matching cat paw socks and ushijima wears them on occasion because he likes matching items even though his friends think it’s cheesy and more importantly, because he loves you. 

you tap away at your laptop, seated at the desk next to your bed. you have an assignment due next month so you figured you should get some preliminary research done. ushijima stirs in his sleep. you glance over, his hair askew on his forehead and your stuffed rilakkuma sitting politely next to him. a second passes before he cracks open his eyes. 

“toshi?” you reach over and brush his hair away from his forehead. “what’s wrong?”

ushijima mumbles something incoherent. 

“hmm?” 

he thinks that your fingers are softer than his, calloused from training and roughened over the years. he likes that. he likes that you’re soft, that you feel warm and gooey like a marshmallow when you hug him, arms wrapped around his chest and eyes creased from smiling up at him. 

“come sleep with me. it’s late,” ushijima murmurs. 

he beckons you to his side by stretching an arm out. you oblige. you close your laptop and switch off your desk light, bathing the room in darkness. the bed is warm, as warm as him. 

ushijima turns onto his side and nuzzles his face into your neck. you smell nice. you fit just right in his arms. your hand splayed between his shoulder blades and leg tossed over his feels like the afternoon sunlight spilling infinitely through a window. only the sun has touched him this close, only the sun. 

you kiss the soft skin of his temple and ushijima understands what love is.

he pulls the covers over your shoulder and tugs you closer to him. you are his love.

Still not over book!Anthony Bridgerton because my boy literally came home early one afternoon, whilst in the middle of his angsty "i don't love my wife but also she's beautiful and she's literally my favorite person to spend time with hmm what does that mean" phase, and listened to Kate play the flute, very badly, during her lesson, for like a whole hour. My boy didn't come in and just listen to her play a song, he literally sat with her for the whole lesson, just because he wanted to. And then, in the epilogue, Anthony Bridgerton spends his 39th birthday forcing his extended family to listen to him and his wife performing a concert, again badly, because my dude literally learned how to play the trumpet so he could accompany his wife and they could learn new things together.

I will never recover from the knowledge that thymoma generally has a very high survival rate, and in most cases that it becomes fatal, the patient has unknowingly lived with the cancer for years. There's a chance that Wilson was sick for half the series and didn't even know it.

He's come so far from the two-bit bounty hunter he once was.

And as much as I wanted him to off the High Evolutionary, I'm so proud of him for deciding not to. He's so strong.

Caleb seeing that Kingsley always wears a high-buttoned collar and fancy leather gloves. Long sleeves and a trailing coat, thigh high boots. Dressing up in all the finery of a king, playing the part of the charming rogue. A striking crimson, fur lined coat, with lovely golden accents. He looks like royalty, like something out of one of Caleb's favorite childhood stories.

But all Caleb can think is just...how much he hides himself away. The collar covers up all the scarring at his throat--the place where the Somnovem's Eye bled with every crimson rite, where Molly always held his blade.

He never takes the gloves off, and it makes something in Caleb's heart twist. How is it any different from the torn bandages Caleb wrapped around his own arms so long ago? How long had Kingsely felt ashamed of showing any skin, of letting anyone see the stunning tattoos that Molly once wore proudly--the scars he never felt the need to hide?

Caleb catching Kingsley by the hand one quiet night, when he's about to slip away. Run off to sea again, disappear on another grand adventure over the horizon. Leave without saying goodbye, like he always did.

Caleb holding King's hand in his, skin finally laid bare, pressing a kiss to every scar--

Ah Easter. Time to listen to the hubby's religious music. (I'm not a fan can you tell but he likes it so I'll deal.)

Christmas is easier for me to deal with the rampant capitalism of the hoilday and the disconnect of American Christian nationalism. It can be a light in the darkness kind of hoilday.

Easter is warm and bright already so I just feel empty. Jesus loves us all but the church here doesn't reflect Him at all. Now anything religious feels so hollow to me.

I am OBSESSING over the fact that the RGB siblings seem to have some sort of hugging thing where one person carries the other and spins!!

The first instance I can remember is during MotM where Kai and Nya reunite and hug. In this scene, Kai jumps on Nya and she carries him. There’s no spin, but maybe they think of this later on because in Dragons Rising, Kai picked up Lloyd and they spin when they reunited after the merge. The same thing happened with Lloyd and Nya later on when Lloyd wakes up after the final fight.

SO, Nya picks up Kai, Kai picks up Lloyd, and Lloyd picks up Nya

Idk why but this little thing has been eating me UP. Like, did they talk about doing this? Was it just something they started doing after a while? Was it only for reunions where they just wanna hug? Is there some sort of three-way version of this (don’t know how that would work tho) or do they just hug when it’s all three of them?
