okay kinda random long post but. i love daryl tofa so much.

he is such an incredibly talented and kind person but ALSO. having polynesian rep on broadway stages is so fucking important to me.

the way that daryl is able to play a character like two-bit matthews, a character from an american novel, and have his tatau on full display is soooo fucking amazing.

the way he can wear his fish hook necklace, that is such an important symbol in not only samoan culture but all polynesian cultures (including māori ahurea), as part of his costume to make it unique to himself as an actor is soooooo important to me

having that rep on stage in an american set play is so fucking important to me and im so glad that the outsiders creative team has allowed for this to happen. it may seem small but its fucking massive to me

it gives me hope for the future- especially with upcoming things such as m'lago morris who got accepted into duke university for film and theatre and he is trying to bring more māori and new zealand culture to theatre and screens across the globe. urgh it gives me hope

anyway thats my ramble done. for now
