There is khayr (goodness) in your struggles. Every challenge you face is a sign of Allah's love and a reminder of His presence in your life. He tests those He loves to bring them closer to Him, to purify their hearts and to strengthen their faith. Embrace these trials with patience and trust in His wisdom, knowing that through them, you are being guided towards greater blessings and a deeper connection with Allah.

Yet another leftist hypocrisy that drives me crazy is the conflicting arguments that:
"Israel fighting back and letting 'tensions' escalate to 'all-out war' is always bad because war is the worst thing, and war is always bad, and war can never be okay under any circumstances--not even wars of self-defense against attempted wars of annihilation."
But then turn around and say, "Targeting enemy combatants in civilian areas without harming any said civilians is easy <3 lots of war-torn countries do it all the time! <3 but israhell doesn't care enough to even try. >:("
Like, which is it?

I asked the women in my group chat about religious ubringing and majority were raised with atheist influence, which surprised me! I was raised under a strong religious influence and I assumed others were too. Checking to see what's more prevalent!

“The attack by Hamas is just revenge for the years of oppression that Israel has inflicted upon Palestine because Israel is occupying their land.”
Okay. If it’s a territorial conflict, then tell me why across the worlds, protestors are literally chanting “F**k the Jews” and “G*s the Jews”.
Tell me why pro-Palestine students from university campuses across the world are attacking Jewish students.
If it’s a purely territorial dispute, why target the Jewish people across the world?
Stop trying to spin the terrorist attack by Hamas into something justifiable when Hamas themselves have called for the eradication of Israel and the Jewish people themselves.
Call it what it is. Antisemitism.

People who think the palestinians are a minority in the levant region just bc there are 2 million people in gaza are the pinnacle of idiocy. Yes there are 2 million "palestinians" in gaza, but there are also 3 million in the west bank and 2 million who are israeli citizens, not to mention the 3 millions in jordan, around 400,000 in lebanon and 270,000 in egypt(that have a lot of segregation laws that for some reason no one talks about).
In conclusion there are more than 10 million "palestinians" in the region, while there are around 6.6 million jews in israel.
The world's view on jews, israel, canaan and levant is just so... American. Their white guilt is SO heavy they want to paint the WHOLE world with THEIR problems to the point they rewrite history and the lives in the middle east, worsening the situations here and then blame USA.
No, you are part of the problem, not only the government

I see where people are coming from when they say "they won't teach about x subject yet they'll reach religion?" or "they shouldn't be talking about religion in schools" but it still kinda misses the point. The problem isn't that they're teaching about religion in schools at all. the issue is that they only teach about one religion (Christianity) and they talk about it as if it's the only religion or the only good religion, and depending on which school you go to they may force those who aren't Christian to partake in Christian activities. The solution isn't to stop talking about religion in schools. The solution is to talk about all religions, to talk about athiesm and agnosticism, to talk about religious trauma, to talk about the history of religion, to talk about cults, to talk about bigotry that some religious groups (especially jews and muslims) face and to give *all* religious people a choice to practice.
I don't want schools to stop teaching about religion. I want schools to stop telling kids that there's only one religion to follow, I want schools to teach about all religions, all beliefs, and to allow non-christians to have to freedom to practice their own and to not force them to partake in christian practices.

Concerns about the other Israeli captives, based on information gathered by Israeli intelligence in cooperation with Gazan informants and captured terrorists, affects the complexity of securing a hostage deal, currently the subject of intense negotiations in Qatar.
Many Israeli abductees are being held by a menagerie of smaller terror groups like Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Mujahideen Brigades, the al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades and the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, intelligence sources have claimed.
These groups are locked in a dispute with Yahya Sinwar’s Hamas. While Sinwar is demanding the release of Hamas prisoners as a priority, they want prisoners from their own ranks to also be represented on the list. This has led them to contemplate a coup against Hamas in recent months.
They are also arguing that no compromise must be made with Israel, insisting that any deal includes the release of all terrorists from Israeli jails, including 1,236 murderers who have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
They also oppose Israel’s proposal to deport the deportation all the prisoners who will be released by Israel as part of the deal from Gaza and the West Bank. Such a requirement is unable to be accepted by Israel and is believed to be frowned upon by Egypt and Qatar.
The intransigence shown by these smaller groups – which are fortified inside tunnels that extend from the al-Shati camp in the north of the Strip to large areas between Khan Yunis and Rafah – is understood to enrage Sinwar after they followed his orders on October 7. This is further souring relations between them.
Although rarely acknowledged, these internal Palestinian frictions have been a stumbling block in the way of a hostage deal.
Sinwar’s main demands are the end of the war and the withdrawal of the IDF from the entire Gaza Strip. He is also seeking American guarantees that Israel will not continue the war after the hostage deal is completed.
This is in response to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s repeated public announcements that the war will only be concluded once Hamas is destroyed and the hostages have been released.

One day you will realize that prayer was better than sleep, but you slept. And reading the Quran was reassuring you, but you deserted it. And remembering Allah used to increase your day in blessing, but you were lazy. And seeking forgiveness was expanding your provisions but you ignored it. And the night prayer was reassuring your heart, but you left it. And the door of repentance is always open but you postponed it.
The problem is you think you have time but once you realize how short life is or how much of the time you have wasted and how close you are to your death, you will never be the same again. ✨

will you tell us more abt your fantasy world’s high elf/orcs please 👀
absolutely!!! Theyre referred as either high elves or orcs depending on where you are in the world and who youre talking to. Some people use one or the other, or use them interchangably.
Before society and sapience came along and whatnot, orcs evolved for rainforests, deserts, forests, and any ecosystem with a heavy focus on plant life (so most of them really!) and lots of sun. Very widespread. Their skin is green, or green ish, and a little waxy to the touch because they have chloroplasts. They photosynthesize, giving them extra energy. Because of that they dont need to sleep much, or even at all, depending on how much sun they've gotten! It also allows them to channel more magic via their appendix (thats the Magic organ). High elf magic users are going to be strongest during the day and a little weakened at night. In thick forests amd rainforests, they would (and some still will!) climb to the tree tops to absorb sun. Hence the name high elf.
They evolved to have tusks in order to scrape bark off trees, get cactus skin, and open cacti and tough-skinned fruits. They are able to properly digest fiber unlike most people. Though, in the modern world as society came together, their tusks are usually viewed with respect. Something to decorate and customize (they dont stop growing!), giving a kind of thanks to their tusks for historically having played a big part in their diet and survival in the past.
Speaking of diet, while they are omnivorous like all elves, they do lean more herbivorous! Many of the groups and places youll find that are orc heavy and orc-led will have an extra care and appreciation for the plants around them.
Unfortunately, I'm still workshopping the societal and cultural parts of high elves and most of my variants. I know where I want everything to end up and some overarching beats of the world, but I get caught up focusing more on speculative fantasy biology and not getting deep into how society would build up, what cultures would be made, and how it eventually all comes together in a modern fantasy setting with magic and technology together and with people from any kind of variant of person being able to be found anywhere withoit surprise, and for it not to be at all unusual to see people that dont fit neatly into any one variant label. That is a hugeee run on sentence lmao.
But ive had this fantasy world in my head for years and try to be very intentional in building a world without colonialism and implying any one variation of person is better or different or good or evil or whatever. It's all just people! I especially want to do right by orcs since tolkein's popularization of them is written as a blatent racist "barbaric" caricature of Black people. Now as I type that I realize I havent drawn any Black high elves! I should fix that. In the meantime heres a couple of orcs ive drawn in the past. Thank you for asking I Loveeee rambling about my fantasy stuff always and forever!!! I hope it's interesting!!!

yeah you're "not racist" but is your first instinct upon seeing smth from another culture disgust or mockery? is your response to lived experiences outside your norms empathy or at least a modicum of understanding? do you make the effort to examine your own prejudice and biases? if applicable, can you acknowledge your nation's complicity in colonialism & general fuckery in our countries? are you capable of not dismissing all criticism of leftists, democrats, etc as russian psyop bots? in a word are you normal about us.

friendly reminder that Sharia is just the word for canonical law in Islam (similar to how Halakha is canonical law in Judaism); there is nothing inherently sinister about it, and misusing it to mean “forcing non-Muslims to live under Muslim rule” makes you look incredibly ignorant

Peace, blessings, and mercy be upon you my siblings
For all of the disabled Muslims who find this post I would like to ask
What verses from the Quran do you find particularly close to the heart? Which ones fill you with love from Allah? Which ones give you strength and hope despite your struggles?
I would like to write a book about being a disabled Muslim(as I am one) so I would like to get input from the disabled Muslim community.
Right now I'm just looking for verses to look into. But if you would like to share your experience with me, feel free to share it on this post, or dm!

It's just as irresponsible to take Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad at their word as it is to take the IDF and US intelligence agents their word. Just FYI.
