I've been busy with some music, and kabuto wanted to help ^^ (not sure if he's mimicking me, or just likes watching the leds pulse)

I actually have been busy with music, but I had modeled Kabuto last week, so I was able to make this quick animation. the insperation is pictures I see of peoples cats trying to play instruments, and the drum machine on my desk.  

I did make the drum machine today, and I'm quite proud of the led animation. animation those kinds of light sequences in blender is kind of a pain. I used geometry nodes to set an attribute value which drives the texture. it was harder then kabuto's little dance.

I pour the the sugar stored in my heart directly into my drawings of the penguin and bat <3 then I use whatever’s left to make Sworn Partner butter cookies. :D

The Treachery of Holograms

there was a recent update to hand tracking, so I made a video of me just... playing.... with a bunch of stuff. that doesn't exist? but that I also hand-sculpted into existence out of thin air?? and that my brain kind of thinks is real?????

I don't talk a lot about this, but working with realistic virtual objects nearly every day for a year has fundamentally changed my mind. all this stuff actually FEELS as real as it looks in this video - including (and this is the part I don't talk about) occasional phantom sensation filling in a sense that SHOULD be there (touch!!) - but isn't.

like..... none of this is real....!!!! this is a video of me waving my hands over an empty desk!!!! HOWEVER.... my brain apparently doesn't care about the typical definition of 'real' anymore. 😅

adult sims who read this magazine as teens, remember it for its bright, enigmatic street snaps of sims’ outfits and sleek fashion spreads.  this photoshoot, modelled by tia montmorency, was inspired by neo cyber aesthetics and the optimism for the start of the 2000s at the time.

updates on the new models : i accidentally made her look like some kind of monk or paladin but im also madly obsessed with the shape language of her model now so. oh well

as for brian: the body is pretty much done, as is the head. im planning on messing around with these things called metaballs to make the "brain", but ill be real idk what im gonna do about the casing.. future me problem ig.
