Hey. If you are legally married to an abusive partner. If you believe your legal spouse will become abusive in the future. If you feel at all unsafe with your spouse. Or even if you are thinking of ending the marriage for a totally mundane reason:
Start taking steps to divorce them NOW.
I'm not saying you should leave now without a plan. Having a safety plan is still important. Having support people who can help you leave safely is still important. Keeping yourself safe is still important. But if you've been thinking about leaving or have been making plans, you may want to move up your timeline.
No-fault divorce may be one of the things on the chopping block under Tr*mp's new regime. For those who don't know, these are the laws that allow couples to divorce even if no one is "at fault" for the failure of the marriage. This made it much easier to get a divorce in the USA, and made it easier and safer for victims of domestic violence to leave their abusers. Conservatives want to return to a fault divorce system, which would require the person filing for divorce to prove their spouse wronged them in some way, such as by having an affair.
TLDR: M*GA wants to make it harder to get a divorce, which is going to trap people in unsafe marriages.
If you are married to an abusive partner, or even to partner you just don't want to be with, I encourage you to file for divorce as soon as possible. ESPECIALLY if you are a woman or femme. Get out now, while it's relatively easy and simple to do so.
If you're scared of how your spouse will react to being left, contact your local domestic violence org and ask for someone to help you make a safety plan. These are trained professionals who can help you get out safely.
And not to put too fine a point on it, but what little government aid does exist for American DV survivors right now is probably going to lose funding or be shut down entirely in conservative areas. Just another reason it's a good idea to leave now if at all possible.
(Disclaimer: I am not an expert on politics, but I AM someone who has worked in domestic violence and sexual assault response and who has read what actual expert political analysts have written about Tr*mp and Pr*ject 2025.)

~ From the DC Vault: Death in the Family: Robin Lives!
Ok, two things here.
Firstly: Alfred's authority on Bruce! The use of the full name ("Bruce Wayne") with the font-size reduced for Bruce's answer ("Yes, sir."), this is a child not watching his tone as he speaks to his parent and being reprimanded. Alfred has so much more authority on Bruce than Bruce has on any of his children.
Secondly: Alfred pointing out the obvious (that some people still miss, like DC because where are the batkids in the movies adaptations??? Where are they???) that Bruce's story is about him building his own family. A family, not by blood, but a loving caring family. Bruce isn't made for loneliness, he tortures himself in it because he thinks that's what he deserves, this man needs a family. He even took Jason because he missed having a kid after Dick left. Bruce yearns for a family since he lost his parents in that alley.
ALSO, THE JUSTICE LEAGUE IS HIS FAMILY TOO!

Jean-Luc Picard @SpaceDadSupport Be very wary of those who insist on "debate" or "discussion" when it's someone's civil rights on the table. There's no debate to be had; trans women are women, trans men are men, anyone with a uterus gets to decide what grows in it or not, bodily autonomy is essential to freedom. 2:11 PM · Sep 28, 2023

About this subject guide
A subject guide is a collection of annotated citations that can be used as a starting point for research on a specific topic. In this subject guide, you'll find sources to help introduce you to the language used by disability studies – the academic study of the position of disabled people in society – and some introductory sources on disability justice, as well as resources for already disabled people. I hope this guide will serve both the disabled and nondisabled community and facilitate more engagement with disability justice!
So, what is disability justice?
Disability justice and disability inclusion are facets of the disability rights movement that gained momentum in the 1990’s and 2000’s and sought equal rights for disabled people in the US and internationally. Disability inclusion argues that simply fighting for access rights for disabled people is not enough; instead, disabled people need to be actively and intentionally included in daily life by going above and beyond the minimum required level of accessibility. Disability justice goes further by demanding the broader disability rights movement fight for justice for all disabled people, highlighting the imperative to learn and incorporate the liberatory practices of other historically marginalized peoples.

I'm taking a tranquilizer and going to bed. There is too much red on the map for me to deal with right now. My nerves are shot. Tonight, I'm gonna be saying my prayers... please, please, please... let kamala win. 🙏🏼 please , God, help us, please 🙏🏼 love, kindness, and acceptance are the answers. Those ideals are what's in my heart and are the basis for my existence. I don't know of any other way to be. It's who i am, through and through. Please, don't take that from us all. I don't know how to live with all the hate that the color red on the map implies. I'm having trouble breathing. It's time for bed.... No matter who wins, I will always be based on love, kindness, and acceptance. No one can take that away from me. I won't let them. It's who I am. It's who I choose to be. It's the right way to be. At least, I know that I will never change who I am and what I am. 🙏🏼💜😢 I can't do 4 more years of tyranny, hate, and injustice. Well, I can, but i don't want to. It offends my very being. I'm going to bed. 🙏🏼 no matter what, I'll deal with it as always. Please let there still be hope whence I awaken. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 I'm so tired of fighting for one nation, under god, with liberty and justice for all, but i will never stop fighting for that. I believe 🙏🏼 💜💜💜 always
Thank you to everyone who is sharing kindness, hope, and love with us all tonight. Bless you!! It is, definitely, needed. I needed it very much. Thank you 🫂🙏🏼💜💜💜

Everyone, Please Read
I know this will be crossing people's minds. To anyone contemplating suicide in light of Donald Trump's re-election, especially young people out there: don't do it!
We survived four years of him as president before and despite the predictions that he'll be even worse this time, we can do it again. Don't give him and his followers the satisfaction of giving in to despair. If you can and feel like you should move to another country, that's one thing, but even if you can't, do not hurt yourself. On your worst day, you are worth a bazillion of him. Just being here on this planet is an act of defiance. Fight back in that small way at least, even if it's the only way you can (and if there's anything else you can do to resist his and his followers' policies and future policy changes on local and national levels within the law or through civil disobedience, do that, too; you may want to become politically involved if that's an option - again, even if it's not, don't hurt yourself).

Doctor Beverly Crusher @SpaceDocMom Reminder: luxuries and nice things should not be limited to the abled and health-privileged. Folks who are disabled, chronically ill, and/or medically vulnerable deserve those things just as much. Don't take health supremacist hoarding and barriers as truth. emojis: black heart, blue heart, masked 3:42 PM · Dec 28, 2023

😔 Still in mourning over Rayhan Mazin, a weather manipulating Arab meta introduced in the 2009 POWER GIRL comic, back in 2011, in the midst of the New 52 dropping; he gets all of 2 issues (#24-25, wherein he's racially profiled & wrongfully accused of using his weather powers for terrorism, when in fact, he was using them to save his plane from crashing) + hints of hero potential, but he's been MIA ever since. 😭
