It’s that time of year again, when my soul yearns for fall. I would give anything to feel the cold air, leaves crunching underfoot, while I sip my 6$ pumpkin spice latte. I miss my sweaters so much. They’ve sat shoved in a drawer for the last 8 months longing to be worn, while I long to wear them. The scorching Tennessee heat is burning up my desire to live entirely. Mosquitos have chewed their way through my entire body. The cicadas used to exude a peaceful sound that gave off a hopeful feeling, but familiarity has bred contempt. My sleep has been taken hostage, and all I’ve been left with is sweat. I crave to be cold. To snuggle up in a scarf while it’s pouring rain. Fall, please come save me.
