I don't buy the rhetoric that most incels or "nice guys" are acting out of entitlement. We will never agree there. I think this is a deliberate and sexist way of framing men expressing their emotions related to rejection and dating and double standards. We let women debrief this kind of thing without calling it acting entitled to men's bodies.

And I should point out, I was there, when the word was first being invented. I saw how it was casted as a way to talk about dating without devolving into "nice guy" traps of entitlement. But I also knew the nice guy entitlement thing was also mostly false, so I knew it wouldn't be long before thats how the incel word would be seen.

I'm sure there are those who are, but they are the minority of incels.

Most incels that are misogynistic, are misogynistic only so far as they pedestalize women so badly they become paralyzed with anxiety at the thought of talking to one. (speaking from experience on this one) Not even the violent ones on that one forum can convince me they don't respect women sooo badly that they won't talk to one out of fear of making her uncomfortable. They aren't bitter at the women, they are bitter at the anxiety they get around women.

Anyways, nobody who calls themselves a feminist should be using a word related to somebody's sexual history in a negative connotation. You can call out misogyny without making it about their sexual history, because doing so reinforces toxic masculinity, reinforces patriarchal ideals that men who can't get women to sleep with them are failed men who shouldn't be listened to. The mere act of using that as an attack where others can hear it helps create more of the kind of man who puts so much of his self worth on what women think of him that he gets emotional when she doesn't think well of him.
