Life update. I asked my family to use my pronouns! They already knew I was trans, but this was still a huge step forward. Just wanted to celebrate the little steps. It’s gonna take some time for them all to come around, especially my dad. But I know they love me, and we’ll be ok <3

sometimes I feel weirdly lonely since i’ve realized that I don’t fit into the typical gender binary and that I never will, like on one hand i’m so happy i’ve realized this about myself and I can stop trying to be a certain thing and i’m allowing myself to just be what I want

but also I don’t fit. I hate how gendered so much of everyday life is like why does it matter? It just makes me feel like Something Else which. I am. but society shouldn’t be constructed in a way that makes me feel alienated by being myself.

This has been an absolutely horrible couple weeks for the Jewish and Israeli community, so I want to throw in at least a tiny bit of hope in here. Amina Hassouna, the Bedouin girl who was severely hurt in Iran’s missile attacks, has been recovering well and seems to be in good condition! She is described as being ‘fully conscious’ and ‘communicating and smiling’. Two bomb shelters have been placed in Al-Fura, the town that she and her family are from, as well.
